Arts League of Lowell: what do users think?
Ronald Smith: Great people and great atmosphere
Marley O'Neil: The gallery is well designed and eclectic. A little bit for everyone which I like. And the sun light in the afternoon is just lovely, makes the art glow.
Michael Breda: The Arts League of Lowell (ALL) Gallery is a great place to purchase an original work of art at reasonable prices. You enter through the ALL Cooperative Gallery, which features over thirty Co-op members from the Greater Lowell area who offer unique pieces in painting, photography, sculpture, jewelry and more. Just beyond the Coop Gallery, two additional galleries feature more focused themes which revolve on a monthly basis. The ALL Gallery is conveniently located within Lowell's Canalway Cultural District; and only one block from Lowell's downtown, City Hall, and the Whistler House Museum of Art.
Dave Martsolf: Arts League of Lowell is the best in the tri-city area north of Boston to showcase and offer regional artistic talent for purchase combined with both free viewing opportunities and in-person docent dialog with gallery personnel.
Didi Chadran: Great space! I enjoyed seeing recent works from familiar artists and friends, as well as from creators whose work I saw here for the first time. Peaceful setting with good lighting. Very helpful and friendly associate at the desk too. I'll be back...often!

Western Avenue | Studios & Lofts: what do users think?
gillian frazier: Great place yo browse & buy art,
Farmhouse Felts: I rented a space there for a few years and met some of the coolest, most creative & kind people ever. Definitely one of kind type people who are extremely talented. They’ve created an artists wonderland inside that mill.I had to leave during the pandemic, but it seems like artists are starting to come back which is great. If you’re new there, and just moved in, don’t hesitate to ask any of them for help. They were always super kind to me and my dog, always willing to help. I miss some of them for sure
Raymond Gordon: Very interesting place for any fan of art. All different kinds. Something for anyone. Very large group of artists. Well worth the trip. The art is all indoors in a 5 story old mill building. Even the old mill is art as well. They don't build building like this any more. You can visit and see lots of art displayed outside of studios, but I hear they have times where they encourage artists to all be open and you can see the most art.Best thing is the art is always expanding and changing, so a repeat visit will not disappoint.
Celeste Dunn: Great spaces with all types of artists, a cafe and a little brewery to quench your thirst after your walk about.
Matthew Girard: Lots of great artists in a very open space.
Ron Lassman: Excellent
Robert Beaulieu: Lots of great artists Lots of different styles. Needs food like a small restaurant. Not a outdoor food truck
Kathy Brough: Great, good variety, felt safe.
David b: Open Market today, lots of crafts
Maria Peddy: Beautiful old mill building, hundreds of artists and a gallery! What more could you want?
jeff taylor: Grate place for art. Also some incredible woodworking and laser engraving
Emily Frost: I feel strongly that it is important to share a word of caution to any creative or photographer who is thinking about renting space here. I subleased a studio space here, and experienced extreme harassment by my neighbors for over 7 months, until I was able to end my lease. My clients felt uncomfortable being in the space, and it stopped feeling safe for my business to even bring paying clients into the space. I found the staff to be rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. Leaving this studio was the best thing I ever did for my business! There are so many incredible studio spaces out there, fellow photographers! This is not one of them!
Robert Hanley Tortora: This is My favorite place in all of Lowell. It’s the heart beat and the lifeblood of everything great going on in the cultural rebirth of this old mill town. They have open house first weekend of every month we’re all the studios are open to be wandered through each filled full of unique treasures, most of which are for sale.
Steven Barna: You have to come visit this place. Over 200 artists are here, all with their own studios. Everyone is around the first Saturday of every month, and you'll easily get lost in here!I promise you'll find an artist that IS your style.
Carlton Soohoo: It's a great community of very talented artists that are inspiring.
steven rancourt: So much to see and fun place to walk around and explore all the shops
Tim Nou: Loved it there the onxy room was awsome my daughter will be dancing there in the summer
Jane Bell: The best affordable art around.
Rae Love: There is so much to see here. Definitely come on a open house Saturday. It’s the first Saturday of the month. All the artists will have their stores open. It’s 3 floors packed with local artists willing to talk about their work and sell it. My husband and I bought matching hand made mugs on the first floor. They are our go to coffee cups now.
Rob Rossignol: Visited Mill City Glassworks and had fun making a paperweight
grace nihan: It was such a nice place! So many diverse places to shop, only downside is it's really easy to get lost in😂

Refuge Lowell: what do users think?
LaNeia Thomas: My daughter has been taking classes at Refuge Lowell for a little over a year and her experience has been beyond expectation. She has taken the Fine Arts for Middle schoolers during the school year and then an intensive summer fun course. As my daughter started at 10 years old and this was her first real art class beyond very short blocks at school, we were concerned about the length of the class; being 3 hours in the evening and after school. We wondered if the class would be too long to hold her interest at the end of a school day, but this was NEVER an issue. My daughter would come bouncing out of the class session full of energy and life; exploding on me in the car about the various activities and projects she worked on that session. The teachers are warm and have a familiar rapport with the children yet they push the children a little outside of their comfort zone at times. We've had a great experience at Refuge Lowell and look forward to continued participation in the various classes.
Hongie: Refuge is more than a safe space to be creative, it's a second home.I love coming to Refuge and being able to connect with different people and students. Refuge is a rare and eccentric art space that allows everyone to feel okay for being different. The instructors are welcoming and have unique experiences and levels of expertise in their craft.I recommend Refuge for kids, adults, and especially high school students serious about going to art school. I don't think there is anything more valuable than 1 on 1 support for putting together a college portfolio from people who have actually been through the process.
Julia D'Angelo: Refuge Lowell is a genuinely wonderful place for artists of all ages. The instructors and students are engaged in a unique creative community within the greater community of Lowell. They enrich their city as well as the individuals in their creative space. Whether your artist is looking for portfolio development on a track to college, or experience working on a team to create large scale artwork for public display, Refuge Lowell is it!
Crystal Montas: As an instructor coming to refuge is such a breath of fresh air. It’s always amazing to see the skill of the young artists and to help them cultivate that skill into a strong college portfolio.
