Caring for Mamas - Birth and Postpartum Doula: what do users think?
Shauna Marie: I cannot imagine going through my last pregnancy and birth without Dashanna! She was a knowledgeable, kind, gentle and funny partner through our entire experience. She was available for information or just reassurance when we needed it throughout the pregnancy.Having her at the birth was so incredibly helpful. I would not have had such a positive birth experience without her, and that’s so important! She brought a joyful presence and a stable energy to the room when things were getting really hard, and I can’t say how much I appreciate her. My husband and I loved working with her and highly recommend her!
Brian Murphy: It was such a wonderful experience having Dashanna as our doula. It had been many years since we had a child and both of us had had experiences we didn’t want to revisit.Having Dashanna help with planning, strategies, and information went great. Even though we thought we had everything planned out, we still had an emergency birth and Dashanna’s assistance with planning paid off so the experience focused on my wife and child and Dashanna was only a speed dial away.I can’t speak highly enough about the attention to detail, planning and communication was with Dashanna and how great the birth went.I highly recommend Dashanna, not only for her expertise but for piece of mind during an overwhelming event.
Sarah Holmes Berk: We hired Dashanna as a postpartum doula, and she was wonderful! This was our first baby, so we weren’t sure what to expect or how well we would adjust. I know Dashanna would be a good fit from the start, when she acknowledged that the fourth trimester can be HARD while also reassuring me that we could do it and enjoy it.Our baby came three weeks early, and Dashanna gave us great input on what to expect (even though we had not hired her as a prenatal doula). It was wonderful to have a trusted third party available to give feedback as we responded to the doctor’s recommendations.Dashanna’s visits postpartum were really helpful. She was so good with our daughter and gave us the opportunity to spend time together and catch up on chores and self-care. It was also so wonderful to talk to another young mom, as I haven’t made any parent friends yet. She had great tips for newborn care without being pushy in the least.I really can’t say enough good things about Dashanna! Highly recommend her services, especially if you are nervous about entering parenthood. And check out her childbirth education class, which I reviewed in March.
Maura Giannattasio: My husband and I took Dashanna's Not Ya Mama's Childbirth Education class. Dashanna has a wealth of knowledge which she shares with expecting parents in an approachable and nurturing way. Her warmth and humor helped us to feel immediately at ease, which allowed us to absorb the information, ask questions, and confidently prepare a birth plan. When it came time to have our baby we felt prepared for anything thanks to her!
Emily Bruno: Great comprehensive and fun class! Would definitely recommend to expectant parents.
Notonmywatch: I honestly felt robbed of having a doula experience with Dashanna. I wish things were different and I thought she would get better but I felt so alone in her care. The moment she missed the birth of our baby is the moment I knew I should’ve picked someone else as a doula. I know things happen but that was what I was expecting her to be there for. Birth! I should’ve asked for a refund but I know times are hard and God will provide. Maybe the other reviews are paid but the whole time I felt neglected.
Kelli Shaw: Words can’t describe how amazing working with Dashanna has been. From our very first video chat she immediately put me at ease. She vibrates with an energy that is so warm and joyful, you can truly tell she has found her passion working in this field. Dashanna was with us for our birth, as well as postpartum care, and I am so grateful. After having two babies naturally, I felt wholly unprepared for my scheduled c-section. Dashanna was always there to listen to my concerns before hand and helped educate us on what our c-section would look like. Unfortunately, babies have their own plans and our girl came 3 weeks early via emergency c-section. Dashanna was right there with us, holding my hand and also supporting my husband for the surgery and after birth for the first feeding. Coming home after a c-section, our twice weekly visits with Dashanna were a blessing. Her love and support for whatever we needed each day were absolutely invaluable. Just knowing that I had that extra support and having someone to tell me “yes this is hard but you’re doing great” has made this transition into the fourth trimester so much easier for our family. Dashanna we cannot thank you enough for all the care you’ve give to us and we are so grateful to have found a new friend in you!
Karen DeVincent: Dashanna is the absolute best. She kept us calm before our child arrived, was a lifesaver in the hours after they were born and rushed into the NICU, and provided much-needed support in the months to follow. Dashanna's deep peri/postpartum knowledge coupled with her high level of emotional intelligence makes her a great fit for any parent seeking a high level of care. We would enthusiastically recommend Dashanna to support any parent(s) as they expand their family. Dashanna is a very special person and we feel lucky to have found her.
Natalie S: My husband and I took her Childbirth Education class and it was so helpful - we learned a lot, but more importantly, I'm freaking out less. Dashanna is really the perfect person for this - she's super knowledgeable but also very comfortable and warm to chat with. Highly recommend!
Sherene Davidson: Having Dashanna as my doula was the greatest resource during my pregnancy, and initially, I was not sure what more I could learn from a Childbirth Education Class. However, there is always more to be learned! The group class was great because this forum provided more people to ask excellent questions that I hadn't thought to ask. The class and materials were thoughtful, organized, and beyond informative. I highly recommend - especially if you think there isn't more to be learned about the the pregnancy and childbirth journey!
Abby Shain: Dashanna is SO knowledgable and easy to talk to... would recommend her Childbirth Education Class to all parents-to-be.
Jacqueline Reynolds: I hired Dashanna as my postpartum doula and I was so glad I did! I used her for both daytime and overnight care and felt completely comfortable leaving her alone to take care of my baby so that I could shower, nap, whatever I needed that day. This was my second baby so I knew what I was getting myself into, but it was still great to have her to answer random questions I had about breastfeeding/pumping, baby sleep schedules and other things I had completely forgotten about from the first time around. Would highly recommend!
Kate Wyman: Dashanna provided the most incredible support during our pregnancy, at birth and postpartum. While I have a lot of favorite qualities about Dashanna, my top is her ability to hold space. She supports every decision with kindness and grace.During our pregnancy, I felt so supported by her knowledge and caring demeanor. She gave us the answers to all of our questions, around everything from the best maternity clothes to the stages of birth. She really prepared me for my birth, which ended up being a long induction. I can still picture her beside me while I pushed our beautiful baby out! She also supported us during postpartum with our baby's 4 month developmental leap by helping us to find more structure, not to mention emotional support. Being a new parent can be challenging, and knowing that I could reach out to Dashanna when I needed help was such a comfort.Having Dashanna alongside us for the journey of birth was the best decision we could have made. I am so grateful for her!
Naychelle Lucas: Working with Dashanna as my pregnancy and Postpartum Doula was a wonderfully amazing experience!! I was so nervous about navigating my first pregnancy and didn’t feel like I was getting enough support from my OB, not to mention being pregnant at the start of the pandemic. I reached out to Dashanna and from our very first video call I felt supported, less anxious, and excited about my pregnancy journey! Throughout my entire pregnancy, I could reach out to Dashanna for any question, big or small and she was always there with help. She walked me through every trimester and taught me the stuff about pregnancy and birth that no one talks about. Dashanna was also a great resource to my husband and I as a couple. She helped him become a better birthing partner and Postpartum support.Having her as my Doula while I gave birth and visiting me at home after the hospital was invaluable. When your up with a new baby in the middle of the night and your panicking it’s so nice to know you’re not alone and Dashanna is there to help.I can’t say enough positive things about her and her services. I’ve recommended her to every pregnant woman I know!
Jennipher Terry: Dashanna gave me a ton of help when I went back to work after my second child was born; she has a great personality and she's lovely to work with! We created schedules that actually work and she helped us find excellent childcare near my husband's new job. It really freed us up to have someone with great attention to detail looking into daycares for us. Caring for Mamas offers great customized postpartum help.
Jessica Darius: I knew I wanted a doula when I had a baby and I'm so glad we chose Dashanna. My parents live far away and couldn't come help for the first week or two. Dashanna was great at the birth - helping me and my husband through labor. And she stepped in for a couple of postpartum shifts to help us get some rest until our families got into town! So glad she was our doula, she'll be a wonderful part of our birth story forever.

The Birth Place: what do users think?
Alana Oliveira: I just want to say thank you to all the nurses and the mid wives who took care of me during my labor and delivery. I was very anxious about my induction and every step up the way I felt supported and cared for. The staff made the birth of my first even more special and memorable. Everyone was so kind and caring and really made a difference to me in how my whole labor and delivery could have went. A special shout out to Cori and Karen for dealing with me and being such good nurses/ support to me. Thank you!!
Virginia Senf: The care received here is top notch and the nurses are phenomenal. The rooms are spacious and my stay was extremely comfortable. Following my visit, I had some issues with my bill (make sure to wait to receive the paper bill from them in the mail), but Michelle and Jen in the billing department were able to help me take care of them. I'd highly reccommend this place to anyone looking for the right place to give birth.
Jess Ackerman: This was the absolute best place to give birth. Had my son December 2021 and every single doctor and nurse was amazing. Such high quality care and a beautiful facility. My son spent 10 days in the special care nursery and I’m so thankful to everyone in that department. They treated our son like he was their own and were so helpful and supportive. When they say you can call or visit 24/7 they truly mean it. They put my mind at ease once we went home without him. He was in great hands. My dream is to get a job within southern so that I can pursue a career in healthcare
Bratatee Ghosh: Regarding my birth experience I would say that I had a mixed experience at the birth place. My water broke when I was 38 weeks 6 days. I wanted to try for vbac which everybody supported and were extremely helpful. But even after trying for 24hours when I wasn’t dilated enough and my baby was at distress I went for a c-section. I had every help and support from my doctors and nurses. And I would say that everyone of them are just awesome. I would have given 5stars but the reason for me giving 4stars is their postpartum care.Postpartum care is just the opposite. Not enough support and help. Especially for ac-section mom and baby. Postpartum care after a major abdominal surgery is very very important. This is where the birth place doesn’t reach up to the mark. You would have to literally have to do everything by yourself. Nurses becomes too busy too look after you after you’ve have had your baby. I was literally crying on my bed because there was no-one to help you. And my baby crying in his crib. Even after calling for help…help comes almost an hour later. There are few who comes almost immediately. But its a luck to get them.I would literally go to the birth place to have a baby anyday…but after remembering my postpartum care I would try to stay away from that place. Sorry, but this is my honest review. Had my baby just the previous week hence I remember everything that has happened there.
Cynthia M: Worse place to have a baby I’ll never have baby again at this hospital first time in 2019 I was 40 weeks pregnancy I called and tell that I’m having contractions but they refused to let me come to the hospital they told keep waiting until the contractions to become stronger then to go to the hospital no matter how I told them, how I feel but they still telling me no to come until I had my baby in my house without any help , I gave birth around 9:25 pm my phone went off so there were no way to call ambulance my husband was at work and guess what he went to work only because hospital told him I’ll be fine baby isn’t ready yet... soon I saw my baby were nothing else I can do I just screamed for help then my neighbor came and called ambulance and ambulance get to my house around 10pm getting to hospital was later the placenta stuck inside so to remove it they had to do procedure. Placenta was removed around 12 pm and I lost a lot of blood almost died with hemorrhage but thanks God nothing happened to me or my daughter and accidentally I got pregnancy again this time was a baby boy, my pregnancy were healthy until 09/04/2021 at 38 weeks and 5 days I feel like baby movement (kicking) decreased so I called hospital and explained everything then they called me later and told me to come over at birth place the I drove by, the nurse check baby heart beats by using monitor on belly and she told me baby heart beating isn’t normal as supposed to be and I told her can you remove him he’s already full developed and she said no let give him more time and after 20 minutes of monitoring baby heart stopped so she called for emergency surgery but the doctor came with ultrasound trying to found baby heart takes almost 10 minutes just to trying to found baby heart beat then after trying for many minutes then they decided to do emergency c-section at the time my son was already dead 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 so much pain I always feel my Jayden imagine 9 months for nothing just loose you baby because of negligence they supposed to do emergency C-section when they found baby heart beat wasn’t normal means baby was distressed but they didn’t or do C-section when they lost heart beat but they didn’t and worse part is all the test , autopsy comes out negative there’s no cause of death why meee???????😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 so much pain ....... this caused my health just wanna say thank you for everything
Melissa Trepanier: This is a complaint, I guess, mostly directed at one provider. I was transferred to a different hospital before delivery so my experience is mostly limited to her.The first time I called to ask about the contractions she was not nice. She told me to call back in an hour if drinking a bunch of water didn't make "the crampiness or contractions or whatever you want to call them" go away. I didn't feel better in an hour but her dismissive attitude prevented me from calling back. I did feel better the next day.The contractions started again later that week. I laid in bed all morning drinking so much water. I went in for evaluation. After negative tests for infection, she told me sometimes women have contractions for no reason. This might be true but often women have contractions when they're in labor. And if the consequence is the birth and subsequent death of a baby at 24 weeks, I think you should take it seriously.I was sent home with a prescription for antibiotics that I couldn't even fill because the pharmacy was closed. The pain was much worse by the time I got home and I started timing the contractions, hoping that by quantifying it I could get someone to take it seriously. They were a minute long and 2-4 minutes apart. By the time I made it back to the hospital I was 1cm dilated. I think my cervix must have been changing while she was telling me that women have contractions for no reason. If I had delivered that night (which seemed likely to happen at the time since I progressed 2cm during the transfer), I would probably feel she had contributed to the death of my son. But we were able to slow labor long enough for the steroids to have 48 hours to develop the lungs. I'm not sure there is anything she or anyone else could have done to change the outcome. Maybe if I'd had antibiotics early in the week when I first had contractions, he would still be alive. I know she contributed to my fear and pain. I felt powerless and unheard and my baby was in danger.I will be avoiding this place for future pregnancies for fear of encountering her again. I would recommend other families do the same.Update: They should have checked the thickness of my cervix and done a blood test for fFn. Preterm labor is lethal and should have been ruled out even if it wasn’t likely. But in all my discussions with the hospital they maintain that they did nothing wrong and will change nothing going forward. This is not just a case of one provider making a mistake. There are systemic problems here. This place is unsafe. Even if you are low risk, you need a provider who will recognize and respond appropriately to emergencies.
Shannon Artz: We had our son Torin here last week and everyone was beyond incredible. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left everyone made sure we had what we needed and always offered more. The nurses in the birth place really care and helped me in every single way they could. My son had to be in the special care nursery and I can’t say enough about his nurses as well. His night nurse Jennifer (I believe her name was) made leaving him easier because I knew he would be well looked after. Jennifer would call me every few hours to go and feed him so I could sleep but also bond with him when he was stable enough. It was hard not having visitors and my husband not being able to stay because we have a 4 year old at home, but Jennifer (and all the nurses) made it easier. I just really want to thank Jennifer for all she did for Torin and I. Those first few days of his life were hard, I think without her encouragement and love, I would have been an absolute mess. Thank you all!
Jennifer Holloway: From start to finish I have nothing but positive things to say about The Birth Place. I had my son on Saturday (11/28) and I felt like I was amoung family. The nurses and doctors were incredible and made me feel so comfortable. The 2 main nurses that I had were Morgan and Ashley. They were absolutely fabulous. I can definitely tell that they love their job. Morgan was there throughout my entire labor and delivery process and she was so caring and comforting. It was like I was going through the process with a friend. I highly recommend going through The Birth Place for the birth of your child. It's worth it 100%.
Christina Waller: All of the doctors and nurses were so wonderful throughout my entire stay. I will definitely deliver here again.
Anna Herman: I have nothing but good things to say about the birth place. I switched to Nashua after a horrible experience at cmc. From the moment I got there I was very comfortable even though it was during this global pandemic. They allowed my husband to come up with me right away because I was very anxious. I had many complications and every one was handled calmly and I did not feel scared at all. My pain was handled excellent it made for a wonderful birth experience. All the nurses treated me delicately, with the utmost kindness. Each new nurse coming in I was a little nervous and everytime they were nice and I trusted them completely. I will absolutely be returning if there's another baby in my future and I recommend this place to any mom in NH. They truly handled the pandemic protocol calmly and allowed my husband to go to the cafeteria. He was not allowed out of the building but he was well taken care of by nurses too. My mom was at home not allowed in and one of the nurses even talked to her on the phone easing her worries too. Dr Tufano delivered my baby and she was awesome. My baby had complications too and the pediatrician explained things so well that I was able to stay calm. Both baby and I are healthy and I 100% know that's because of excellent medical care from the birth place.Huge thank you to this facility. They made my birth a wonderful experience.
Elizabeth C. Parks: FANTASTIC experience! The Birthing Place team is truly incredible! Southern NH Birth Place in Nashua is an AWESOME mom and baby friendly place. We attempted to research cesarean and episiotomy rates before our visit (which very much seem to be a thing of the past) and the lack of information available made us a little nervous. However, the lack of released information has NOTHING to do with the fantastic quality care. The Birthing Place not only supported everything we talked to them about, often they led the conversation before we did on things like delayed cord clamping, epidural, skin to skin, etc.We didn’t go in with a written out birth plan - we kept things conversational with our birthing center team the entire time. The Birth Place team was super receptive! For example, I wasn’t sure if I was going to do an epidural, I talked to the doc about it and she gave me a beach mark to discuss it again with her. I made it all the way to 8 CM and opted for the epidural. Our first born resulted in an emergency cesarean section so this was essentially our first birthing experience (VBAC). The nurses did an incredible job of explaining what I was experiencing throughout the birthing process to include what the pressure would feel like when it was time to push.We had our little one in early July 2020 during COVID-19. We were at ease our entire stay. Truthfully, not having unnecessary visitors in the hospital made for a great experience. The only time we remembered COVID was even happening was when we realized that my husband could not leave to get us food - we had to get our meals from the cafeteria. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. It was really great having the large bathroom with shower and jacuzzi bathtub. Knowing that once we were there we could not leave we brought our own birthing ball, peanut ball, favorite snacks, etc.The Birthing Center Team goes above and beyond to make sure that mom, partner, and baby are comfortable! Thank you!
Cynthia Tyler: There are no words to thank the birth place enough for their attentive care. My sons birth had some complications and the doctor as well as nurses and specialist all handled beyond my expectations. After being dismissed I went home for one night and then began having major chest pains. after reviewing the sheet they explained at discharge I knew I needed to go back. I admitted myself into ER. As soon as I was admitted the birth place received word that I had extremely high blood pressure and they immediately admitted me back into their care where they began meds and placed me next to doctors station. I was diagnosed with POST partum preeclampsia and I spent the next couple days there under there care. Being away from my newborn and my family was one of the hardest things I’ve endured however I am here today because of their knowledge, attention to detail and follow through. There are no words to express my gratitude. I recommend this birthplace to everyone whom I speak to who is undecided. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart! Jaxxon has his mommy here today because of YOU!-Cyndie, Dacare & our greatful children
Rachelle Natale: As a first time mom I was not sure what to expect. However, I felt extremely attended to and supported through the whole process. I had a difficult labor and a nurse and midwife were there to give encouragement and exercises to relieve pain. Jessica and Fidelma are awesome! They always told me my options first before going ahead and doing something. Jessica is an amazing nurse and Fidelma an awesome midwife; they made my experience as best as they could through my rough labor. I felt comforted and Knew my baby would be in good hands through labor. I loved the doctor who delivered my son, Dr. Kotlor. He was thorough with explaining options in an emergency situation and he was cautious to make my recovery as minimal as possible. Once the baby was born I had great nurses as well! I would definitely come here again!
Anna McCuen: I gave birth to my daughter here and it was beautiful. The staff are absolutely amazing. Erin was my nurse for the majority of my stay here and she was an angel! I had so much support from everyone and they were so accommodating as well. If you want to feel like a movie Star after you give birth- do it here. It’s clean, updated and did I mention how wonderful the staff is yet? All the doctors, midwives, and most especially-nurses are the kindest, most genuine, heartfelt, thoughtful and dedicated individuals. I couldn’t be more thrilled with my experience or more Appreciate of the way I was treated. Thank you everyone, especially Erin, for everything. From your biggest fan!
Zwayy: My family has had many of babies here. I had my first child August 3rd 2019. Everything was going good at the start had absolutely no issues until the actual day of my daughters birth. I’m not going to say names but we had the worst nurse I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. I’ve been there for so many births I know the protocols ect. But this nurse had her own agenda for the day and made many decisions that she in no way had the right to decide. it is between my wife and the doctor. but like I said this nurse had her own agenda for OUR child’s birth. My wife was so disappointed with her and her actions and has left my wife and myself so upset. Between 1 nurse acting and being as controlling/ demanding as she was and another nurse sleeping at the desk while she was “supposed” to be monitoring my wife and the rest of the mothers there we will never have another child at this facility.
Sharan Gadi: One of the finest experience we had with our very first baby. We were there for 2 days for labor and 2 days after baby birth. It’s a great team work from start to end. Every RN, provider were truly magnificent. To mention, Erica and Ashley just didn’t do their job, they did way more than that. They are very much passionate and love towards what they do. We had so much pleasant experience with each one of them. I take this opportunity to thank everyone for this miracle to happen in the most pleasant way it could happen. Thank you all 😊😊😊
Natalya Espinoza: Best place to have a baby!!

Lowell General Hospital: what do users think?
Jason Cross: Came to the ED for a heart issue concern. Was greeted promptly and was kept up to date consistently concerning next steps. Ended up being admitted for tests and observation. Staff was attentive. The Tufts app is convenient and keeps you up to date on your test results. This makes it much easier to be able to ask informed questions with your care providers. The food was far above expectations for hospital food and the service is customized, personal and prompt. For my own health reasons, I hope that I’m not a frequent flyer, but if I have to be in a hospital, this was as good of an experience I could have hoped for. Professional, courteous staff and modern facilities. Would not hesitate to recommend. A+
Noce: Several terrible experiences with the Hospital they are horribly disorganized and overworked. I would rather take the commuter into Boston even for an emergency! I waited 12 hours in the ER to be seen for heart related issues.. had to come back twice because they couldn’t find lab orders for blood another time..
susan santee: The wait time in Beetlejuice was shorter.
Mr. T: Been using this hospital for almost 30 years. Quite reasonable and professional. No serious complaints.
Alex DiPietro: I really wish I could give a ZERO STAR!!! They need to find a better staff I had a heart monitors, oxygen, and blood pressure cuff all attached to me. I pushed the call button in my room and waited for over an hour, and nobody came to check on me so I decided to unhook my self all the machines were going off, and I left down the hall to go to the bathroom, came back to the room and sat in my room and nobody came while I was at the bathroom because my husband was sitting in the room and said nobody showed up yet. We sat there and waited for over 20 minutes longer until i went out to track somebody down to re-hook me back up. There were three nurses sitting directly outside my room the entire time they were there when I went to the bathroom there when I came back and there when I went out to have somebody hook me back up, not even the nurses would come in to hook me back up. An EMT came in and did it instead Because not one of them moved when I ask for help. When I was outside my room there was a light that was flashing and lots of sounds that were going off in and outside my room because I was unhooked and not once did somebody check on me to make sure I was OK. I was extremely surprised considering I was in there because of my heart.
Deakins Keith: Right now the ER waiting hour is plenty for you to drive single trip from Boston to Philadelphia.
moyomie: Workers have an attitude and are in a rush. #badjob 👎👎👎 I rate 1 ☆ go to a better hospital with workers who truly care for you. They forced me to do things on my own while I was in pain #crippled + they gave me a bald emt person (I hate bald people) (he also has no eyebrows) #idontsupportcancerpatients #falopecia
Teerth Patel: Terrible wait times in the ED. There’s not enough doctors.
Susan Sweeney: I went to Lowell General after I was sent there by my Doctor because I was passing kidney stones and there was blood in my urine and it hurt to urinate. They kept me overnight and the floor nurse missed my vein therefore the machine kept going off after 3 hours another nurse changed the IV and she missed the vein as well and my machine rang all night and all morning , finally I pulled the needle out of my arm and went home and they said I left against Doctors orders. It was awful because my arm hurt so bad from them missing my vein and even my roommate buzzed them because she could not stand listening to IV machine beeping. And to make matters worse they said they would be in to change out 3x from 9 pm until 2 pm next day. What a nightmare hospital experience. I would go to Saints over Varnum any day. I would never refer anyone to Lowell General on Varnum ever. The lump and bruise after on my arm was horrid
Smerly Reynoso: If I can give a 0 star I will definitely do, If you really want good medical attention, I don't even recommend that you go to this place. I say this from my own experience. Every time I go they make me wait almost the whole night. I was in the hospital since 9:40 pm with pain in my chest and unable to breathe It was 2am and they still haven't seen me, I'm a pregnant person and they really don't give you the treatment you deserve as a patient These staff really don't care about their patients.
bethany laroche: Do yourself a favor....get air-dropped into a tent in an isolated part of very econimically poor or strife-ridden country....you'll get medical care....
Nash Bassey: Terrible terrible services. I was in the lobby for hours for my daughter. She was in so much pain. I had to live after waiting for sooooooooooooooooo long. Other parents were living in frustration with their kids. The management must be revised,
Eddie Quinn: My mom was sent to the ER by her doctor for chest pains, shortness of breath and light headedness with a history of atherosclerosis and diabetes. Her doctor knew it was a heart issue. She went to the ER and sat for 7 hours without seeing anyone. 7 HOURS...with those symptoms. She ended up seeing a cardiologist the next day and was rushed via ambulance into Boston for a triple bypass. We are now on hour two of waiting for post HEART SURGERY shortness of breath and tightness in the ER.This is unacceptable and the state needs to step in here.
Herculean G: The fat lady in the reception is so rude and doesn’t care to answer any of your questions. Painful wait time’s and no staff to deal with patients
Calvin Fritz: Sitting in the ER now for 5 hours waiting to be seen with internal bleeding! Looks like there are still 6 patients still ahead of me!! This place is the worst!!! Now 6 hours and waiting!
Julie Newman: I went to the ED for an eye issue that turned out to be harmless. The tech, nurse, and doctor were all so kind and never made me feel bad for being there. While long waits are expected in ERs nowadays, I really didn't wait that long. The tech who roomed me was very nice, the nurse was professional and kind, and the doctor was encouraging and really made me feel better about something I thought was terrible but was very routine. I thank all the hardworking staff at this hospital.
Mama Bear: Labor and Delivery & Pediatric Unit: Everyone at LGH was amazing from the person who changed my trash all the way up to the doctors. I cannot say enough good things about both this hospital’s L&D dept and pediatric unit. If I could give them 100 stars I would. My baby’s room in the pedi unit had a bed & a shower for me to use which was a huge plus. The doctors are privy to all the most advanced science. Delayed cord clamping is standard. Their lactation help is top notch as well. The only thing I didn’t like was that LGH doesn’t have a photographer who comes in to take baby’s hospital photos but that was no biggie because I did my own photos while we were there lol. I can’t say anything about the rest of the hospital but I can say that LGH is THE place to have your baby at.
Marina Wong: I had an elective test done before I moved down to FL. The doctor and the nurses were very nice and explained the procedures to me in detail.
Zafar Nizami: 6 hours ER wait and counting. The people ahead of me have been waiting literally 12 hours. How is this acceptable? Can you even call this an organization? I also don’t need the LGH rep commenting on this post telling me to call patient relations. Reform your hospital first. Never have I waited several hours to get seen at an ER. Unreal.
Dan Sloan: Great nursing staff. Could get rid of the useless paper mask mandates, but the nurses were very nice
B.Bhargav sreekaR: The worst kind of experience I’ve ever had in a ER. The reason anyone would visit ER is coz of the emergency. And irrespective of the emergency you’ve got the staff here are carefree and doesn’t even have the empathy factor they need when working in a health care. Had to wait more than 5 hours for my friend’s case of severe pain in the chest near heart. Recommended for people with great patience level and if you still got to visit this place better carry your phone charger, and essentials to continue with your sleep. The reviews speaks up for the hospital.

Lowell General Hospital Saints Campus: what do users think?
Amber S: I prefer this campus. I’ve been having health issues and I noticed this campus always has caring nurses and doctors. Where as the other campus they’re rude and dismiss my symptoms (speaking on ER terms)
Raini Sherrod: This is a ABSOLUTE WASTE OF TIME I came in feeling as if I could vomit and not to add FAINTED IN MY SHOWER as well as feeling like my bones could shatter and have waited far too long. Oh let me add that my mother had called 911 and I was brought in via AMBULANCE and the ambulance emts could tell you themselves that I CAN HARDLY STAND ON MY OWN. Another key point is when I first got here I WAS THE ONLY ONE HERE but oh no no the person who fell in the shower can’t stand or walk and could have hit their head is forced to wait an extended period of time!!!!! I really hate the fact that this place is LEGALLY ALLOWED TO BE CALLED AS A HOSPITAL!! I am absolutely discussed at the ALARMING LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM!!! I would have rather died the sit here in the amount of pain I’m in. To be honest with you I would give ZERO stars, and would NEVER recommend this place to anyone!!!!
John Savard: Very dirty in this place!!! Everything is out dated and clearly nothing gets cleaned around here, there is blood splatter all over the room that we in right now!! Do not recommend this hospital at all
Firstname Lastname: Mental health patients are treated horribly. Send your loved ones somewhere else.
Stella Kosta: I feel guilty writing this because I know there are a lot of good hard working doctors , Nurses ,Etc at every hospital but Saint Memorial hospital in Lowell Massachusetts has to be one of the worst run hospitals in any first world countries I had ever seen and I have been to many places and unfortunately many hospitals due to my husband's poor health and many near death accidents , and I'm not sure if that's because of poor management or corruption . I have many horrible experiences here and know many who of have even worst horror stories take place here , my advice is unless you are dying stay away , go to Lowell general or better yet drive to Boston and please don't donate money here , It goes to greedy pockets and not to helping hands like the hard working nurses they take advantage of .
SIRAJ DARWISH: 👎A new experiment,Worst hospital you could ever go to. Long wait times, rude staff😰😞A new experiment, and the result is that people's money is stolen from the health insurance card
Shawna Bourdon: My sister was treated poorly she has severe symptoms of covid and they did nothing but send her home
Mel a: Just terrible. Nurses were rude, staff were racist, mental health patients treated like a joke. I hate this place and will never go back. And patient relations does nothing so don't bother.
ANGEL Méndez: Pésimo servicio más de 5 horas esperando que me quieran atender como si uno no tranajara
Debbie Lovewine: Have stomach and leg pain. I was the 2 one in. They took 12 ppl. I'm still waiting. I'm sorry they are racist. I'm the only black American there. Very racist...
Lillith: Where to start. This hospital needs to be investigated for not only violating patient HIPPA rights as well as overall patient care. The staff ignores patients, makes fun of them, begs the EMTs to take patients with them instead of leaving them. I was put on a bed in the hallway, made to get naked and change in the same hallway next to the door where the ambulance brings patients in. I asked the on charge nurse MULTIPLE times to control the comments of her staff as it was highly unprofessional only to be met with attitude and force. I told her I would record the staff and she sent security to my bed and I was forced to let them into my phone to prove I never recorded. I ended up leaving AMA because I truly felt like I’d end up dead before actually being helped.
Meral Gonzalez: I went to emergency room at Saints memorial today I was very sick, I had a headache so bad, it was killing me. I was begging them to give something for my headache. I walked away, when I was walking away a nurse told me “bye, don’t pretend you’re going to fall”, because I was walking slowly and holding from the walls.Later, I went to urgent care in Dracut, I have Covid-19. They took the Covid-19 test at Saints early, they couldn’t tell me anything I was there for 2 hours. They didn’t give anything for my headache, they could see me I looked awful. Anyways. They don’t care.
Roy Adams: They took care of me very well, and the staff was very nice.
Sherry Wood: Rudest people I have ever had the displeasure to speak with. I have been calling all day to find out how my daughter was doing after she was brought in to emergency. Every time her father and I called the person would tell us that the nurse would call us back. It has been 32 hours and NOTHING. I finally get to speak to someone and she had to be the rudest person ever. These people have no love, no compassion, no empathy whatsoever. If you hate your jobs so much, get out of the field. Lowell general is despicable.
Lancer: A hospital ER full degenerates and I am not talking about the patients. Was there at 8 am with severe back / neck pain and difficulty breathing. 3 hrs and not one dr or nurse came to check on me, and when someone finally came in it was student by herself.Saints is the place to go if you don't want 4o he cares for and get treatment. It's a place to suffer and die. This is 1 hospital that should be looked for corruption and if they are provide service to all.I hope all you in the ER need help one day and I am around just so I could walk by you and laugh in your face.Btw I will be contacting the state authority for what you put me thru.
michele stpeters: If I could give less stars I would. I took an ambulance there for weakness and dizziness. Worsening nausea and abdominal pain. My issue isn’t with having to be in the waiting room or in one room, than the hall, than another room, than the hall again. The care here is substandard. Medication for the nausea wasn’t working….I had gotten sick an hour after a dose. I got “admitted”, although I spent my time in the ER. I was there a little less than 2 days. From the time the hospitalist took over care, I saw them twice. The first night, then 36 hours later when they said I could get discharged. Um….I’m too nauseous to drink anything for almost 24hrs. No IV fluids, and not one person while I was there listened to my bowel sounds. Ive been with the same pcp office for 30years. Due to how bad Lowell General has gotten recently I’m seriously considering moving my healthcare needs to someone outside of LGH.
Kimihiro Nova: Went in with a dangerously high blood pressure (stroke levels) and didn't even see a doctor. After 6 hours of waiting without seeing anyone past getting a wrist band I decided it would be better to just risk the stroke at that point because it was clear I would be getting no help. The waiting room was packed to the point where there were people sitting on the cold, hard, dirty floor. No separation from high risk patients such as covid cases. If you are immunocompromised do not come here. It's clear to me they do not care for their patients and their safety. Some serious changes need to be done before this hospital is even worth trying to go to. Doctors are severely understaffed (as in they literally only had one working at one point) for all those patients which is unacceptable for any hospital. If you have a serious problem you'd be better off just praying for the best cause there's no telling if you'll ever actually get any help at this location.
Taevy Phauk: You can tell saints doesn’t care about their patients when they send automatic replies to these reviews.I’m going to keep it short. If you want a hospital that will see you in under 10 hours don’t come to saints. If you care about your loved ones and want them to live, don’t come here. Bring your own chair since people are lying on the dirty ground. If you have COVID and are old and have a million health issues, be prepared to not be seen or taken seriously.I’m going to pray that they get better or find more resources because they could be killing patients by just not seeing them on time. One thing I know is that when I start to have a family they won’t be coming here.
Rose Marchese: Spent 3 1/2 hours there this morning. Had an X-ray within the first 30 minutes. After that it was waiting waiting waiting. When I was finally brought in and dr came in he didn’t even know I had an X-ray of my shoulder. Seriously get a grip. When I was finally “dismissed “ and able to leave they hadn’t told me I’d I should ice or heat my problem. Tonight I am no better off than I was this morning in their care.Don’t waste your energy on this place.
bernard belley: I was admitted in the hospital about 4 weeks ago saints memorial to excellent care of me they brought me right in when I was feeling ill they brought me in the back room immediately gave me a bed in the emergency room and then they gave me a private room upstairs on the third floor I don't know what else to say other than they were excellent the nurses were friendly and very concerned about your health thank you Saint memorial
Leo Allgaier: The worst experience ever if I could leave zero stars that would be more appropriate
