Boats & Motors: what do users think?
Al Mangini: Cool place they can fix most small motor items
Turner Gary: it was great
Michael Riccardi: Horrible attitude every single time I have purchased a $600 anchor set up which is almost every year For the past 4-5 years I've been forced this year to purchase somewhere else .she gives me a Horrible attitude because I don't purchase every single item that I use for commercial fishing from her .and she doesn't carry anything that I use for Commercial bluefin tuna fishing. Other than anchor line. So I will gladly take my business elsewhere . I have had a horrible experience every single time I have tried to purchase from them And I am not the complaining type at all ever
marcus Basiliere: Hands down best boat place in the area! Always have the parts I need.
pat landry: Excellent service from a knowledgeable experienced and family run business, i just recently bought a new outboard motor here and im very pleased with the service and the motor. They also have a full service shop in the back of the showroom/store where they service marine engines. Thanks again for the great service which is more difficult to find these days
Marek Reksc: Very well supplied store. Lady at the counter knows the stuff. Great service.
Mike Phillion: I blew a bearing on my trailer on 95. Fred FaceTimed me to sell my brother the right replacement. He then pulled over on his way home when he saw us still struggling and replaced it. There are not many people I know that would do that.
BigBeefBoston: Very knowledgeable and helpful to assist you with any questions you may have about boat parts and accessories 💯
Armando DeAngelis: Visited to pick up a part for my snowblower. Staff is friendly, helpful and accomodating. Although I went specifically for my snowblower I found the store to be very deceiving from the outside as it is well stocked with various other products for the outside sportsman.
aleksei nicklas: Bought an Achilles RIB from them and couldn't be happier. Mary was very helpful and patient answering all of my questions over the phone. Once I settled on the model I was in and out with my new boat in 30 minutes. My only regret is not finding them earlier!
Blake Robbins: Excellent customer service. They thoroughly explained the details of my motor and what was needed for service. They follow up and make sure you’re happy with their service. A great family run shop!
Dan True: I love this place . I've been going there since they opened . Looking for outboard motor work . you won't find a better place . Fred really knows his stuff . Mary in the show room and at the parts counter will absolutely shock you with her knowledge of the industry . and their inventory is very good . If they don't have it they will find it ! And get it . their prices beat all the big guys. It's a great family business and they make me feel at home every time I'm there
Alex Feldman: Boats and Motors has excellent service and know how. Do yourself a favor, and buy all your boating stuff here, starting with your outboard. I got a newfangled propane outboard by Tohatsu. HE ran it in his tank for an hour before I got there, and showed me every tip and trick he could. A couple months later, I had starting problem. Once I called from the middle of Boston Harbor, and he was helpful . It turned out it wasn’t easy to fix. they were on the phone with the manufacturer, and spent umpteen hours getting it to work right, most hours they didn’t bill me ’because it was the right thing to do’. Now it works great. If I had ordered that on the internet, I would’ve been sunk. And I wouldn’t have even saved money. When you buy a motor from them, you have a friend for life. They’ve done good work on two other motors, too. More then once, they’ve called out of the blue, just to see how my motor is working for me. Is that not caring ?! I wish I had the option to buy everything from a well run , small family businesses like Boats an Motors.
Rick LeBlanc: Like being a kid in a candy store, they have everything you need for your boat, if they don't have it, they will order it for you.Friendly and knowledgeable people.
Sleepster: This place rocks!! I felt like a kid in a candy store again. They have a huge selection with great prices without all the glitz and glamor and unnecessary markup prices. Great moms and pops shop and great old fashioned customer service that's knowledgeable and take their time to help you out.
Nic Mendoza: I bought my first ever outboard from them this week and couldn't be happier. Mary was helpful and responsive via email as well as over the phone answering my questions, checking inventory, etc. One of the store associates walked over and picked vinyl registration numbers off their pegs for me after I asked where to find them. Everyone there, both in the store and in the shop out back, was very welcoming and kind to my young daughter who I brought in with me to pick up the motor. I was very surprised to receive an absolute masterclass on how to own/operate my motor from Fred, including some valuable tweaks to the official Tohatsu instructions (and custom markings on the throttle to help me with break-in and a bright post-it-note to flag a page in the manual). Fred is a skilled, knowledgeable educator. I learned a lot of things I didn't know I didn't know. I'll be back when I need service. It's a real, old-school, local, small business. It's clear they are deeply familiar with the products they sell. The store is not fancy, and I wish I could check their inventory online, but these folks are the real deal.
Frank Balurdi: This is great family business!! Very knowledgeable and great service.
Erika Roman: I have never had a boat in my life and still haven't one yet but I bought a damaged boat motor in a yard sale without knowing anything about boats or boats motors for less than a $100 which brand doesn't longer exist and worst than that, no one had the supposedly damage part (flywheel) base on the previous owners information.Well this man was so honest from the begining, explaining me the good and bad chances but with a little tiny chance of having a good boat motor for so less.Even tho he wasn't sure of giving it a try because there could of been a few surprises, he did give me the chance and guess what, thanks to him at least I have a boat motor running. And it wasn't the flywheel but a few little maintenance things and everything for about $250 which was a lot less of our expectations. Not only his honesty surprised me but the great team he do with his wife working together. When I went for pick up the same day he call me (today) I live one hour away but there was a delay of 15 mins , 2 crashes, it took me an hour and a half to get there.Couldn' t make it on time before their closing time 6pm and even tho I got there 7 mins after, they waited for.me and wife answered all my calls on my way there to kept her informed about the traffic delay. That was such a nice gesture of both of them.Thank you so much for your honesty Mr. F and wife.(not sure if Fred, Frank)If I finally buy a boat, I will definitely come back for your advise and expert opinion. Thanks again. It was worth the trip.
Len Papkee: Great service
sea300ray: Great prices, delightful staff.
Mike Hughes: I was a customer for about 2 years and have spent about $1500 at the store. When I told them that I had bought ($50) lights for my trailer online, they asked me not to come back :(

West Marine: what do users think?
Brooks Sheridan: Expensive but good in a pinch
Boston Fish: Awesome store with very knowledgeable staff . Store manager is awesome
Luisito Zepeda: Si yegas al lugar te gustará chido
Brad Silsby: Painful
Narūnas Bukauskas: Sometimes little disheveled, mostly OK for some last minute stuff
jerry caico: Over priced understaffed!
Arthur DE Angelis: Had an issue with fender that I bought there they replaced it was leaking air from the valve they tried to replace the valve unsuccessfully still leaked very helpful in every way great people
Issam Gharios: Great local shop for all water needs
Andrew Bennett: Staff was really helpful
Jim Catanzaro: Very expensive I don’t know how they stay in business
Darrell Pernisie: Massive selection. Boater's happy place
Don McLaughlin: The service was great
sal poli: Lots of empty shelves and very aggravating
Jimmy Santiago: Excellent
Paul Trischitta: Unbelievable selection
fathi bashir: I had twice live worms from the store. First, it's expensive for the amount you'll get ( $5, it was very few worms ). Second and most importantly, the worms were dead and looked like they had been in storage for a long time and were not in good condition. The rest of the store service and the staff were excellent.
snow plowin: Way way way overpriced compared to any and all other retailers on every single product in store. I guess if you need it now or not at another store they have the advantage$29.99 for this come on now$4.99‐7.99 anywhere else
craig mahon: Boating and marine are good. Fishing could be better.
Chris Baker: Leave plenty of time to check out. I typically wait about 10-15 minutes to check out and pay
Jay Carrier: Customer service is way below expectancy not enough staff allegedly to the point I'm on hold for 2 hours I don't understand they have to take a message to get back to me on the simplest thing nothing more than a part number for an outboard shifter linkage so ridiculous I need a carburetor no inventory I need an ignition coil no inventory
lbacon4th: The staff and especially the store manager are incredibly helpful. Always willing to go the extra mile to help find what you need.....can't say enough

Mitch Comstein: How good can it be? It's nowhere near water. Heck, look at the map, it's literally in the middle of the road. I'm out.
