Merrimac Marine Supply: what do users think?
Ricky Frias: Sad the owner has worked so hard over the years. To have he's employees ruin it with the shittty attitude.
J W: Charged me 1000 for a knocking engine and didnt fix the problem. I asked if they stand by thier work but put me off saying were booked up it would be almost six weeks out. They told me i need to test the fuel. I didnt have time and called back and Stephenie snaped saying my husband told you to check it we cant do anything until you check it. She was pretty rude in a few conversations. Not many places work on older engines I guess (2001), so im over a barrel. Long story short they dont stand by thier work and Ive lost a season would not recommend or return.
Wojtek Sudol: Excellent service ! Sam - the owner is a great guy. He will tell you the way it is.
Sven Amirian: This shop is Great! Family owned, knowledgeable fast turn around and reasonably priced.
David Towler: Stephane is amazing, knowledgeable, intelligent, friendly a great positive energy!I am a first time boat owner and she took me under her wing with patient care.Boat went in at 9 am and out by 4:30 pm.Immediately went for a test ride, the motor is running like a top thanks to their great mechanic Kevin.Kevin fixed what was needed and nothing more. 👍If you want great service from a Family owned business where your treated like Royalty this is the place.Thank you this is the backbone of America. 🇺🇸Customer for Life!Dave T 🍀
chris lavoie: This place is great always have what you need and will put the effort in to make sure your boat is ready
Mike: BEWARE!! Purchased a boat through private sale that was stored and maintained here last year. Before buying, I asked the owner and mechanic to look over and alert me to anything that would need repair and that I would have him do it. Was told everything was in great condition so I bought. Next thing you know, I spent more than half the summer with the boat out of the water and now have to do a repower. When I asked my mechanic how long the issues had been present, he said “awhile, well before you bought.” Issues ranged from wrong batteries installed for Verados, bad oil leak, faulty starter and broken steering cyclinder. Not to mention when I initially called asking about my battery issue and spoke to the woman at Merrimac Marine, she was incredibly rude and started fighting with me. Extremely frustrating that a boat stored and maintained at a Mercury dealer would be in this poor of shape. I should’ve known this place was no good when I had to replace my batteries right away because they weren’t AGM and verados require AGM. How does a Mercury mechanic make that mistake?? Please beware and do your research. Plenty of other Mercury mechanics in the area that I would trust first. I will never recommend this place to anyone.
jill frotton: John the mechanic is awesome!
Joe Welch: 👍
MV_Sailor: I had a serious drive train issue with my boat. I called them, they said bring it on in. Within a few hours it was fixed and ready to go. Mechanics there were very helpful. Staff was very helpful too.
fishhuntr: I can't believe they have a 4.5 rating. I took my I/O to them last year charged me nearly 4k to replace wire harness with an old one they had laying around and install my engine. They said they compression tested the engine before they installed it and everything was good to go It Wasn't. They had to install the bell housing and flywheel cover they never tightened the bolts enough and didn't use any locktight on any of the bolts after about half a season bell housing was vibrating every time I put it in gear. and even better they had to take my engine out a second time because they didn't see a hole in my transom assembly and charged me to do that work also when they were the ones who missed it. so after a half season the engine they installed lost cylinder 5 and sounded like a machine gun in gear. DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANYTHING THE OWNER SAM MAY HAVE BEEN GOOD A LONG TIME AGO BUT DEFINITELY IS NOT ANY LONGER. If you read this Merrimack marine this is Neal I'm sure you remember me. Terrible work!!!!!!!!
Tyler Beserdetsky: Helpful and experienced very happy with my experience
Lynn Scanlon: We just have to say how impressed we were with Merrimack Marine. We had an issue with our boat just a few days before our vacation and they not only fixed it but the service and kindness they showed were impeccable. I would highly recommend themWe have a Mercury 135 Optimax on our Boston whaler . Thanks you Maryellen and Sam along with there family business for helping us get our boat fixed for our vacation .
Ivan Torres: I lost 2018 season because they charged me 1,000 and didn't fix my boat. Now water gets in the engine compartment
Richard Carr: Excellent services!!!!!!!saved my boating vacation !!! Definitely will be back.

Baert Marine: what do users think?
Tony Marques: Worse place to do business with very unprofessional and rude.
Scott Rieder: Very helpful to me as a walk-in with a very minor project
William Lho: Very helpful and always responded in a timely manner. Tim in service is the man always kind and helping customer fairly.
T J: Excellent service.
Ken Faubel: Bought an outboard last summer and an inflatable this year. Friendly folks and a nice selection of stuff including parts. Not cheap but that's boating.
Alex Cassie: 2 Stars, because they managed to hang a new engine on a hull. Passed that they apparently don't care. Tried to prime the fuel line and had an instant fuel leak. The engine oil was less than half full as well. Also, the electrical wiring was left disconnected from the battery and wiring brackets were left dangling. We found the spin on water separator/fuel filter was not tight. The steering wheel was not close to being straight. I'm now fixing all the problems on my friends boat and he paid through the nose to have repowered. Don't take your boat there if you care about it. Anyone with a little knowledge could do a more conscientious job. Considering they let a boat leave without the bilge pump connected and a fuel leak on a brand new installation, maybe they should not be servicing anything. Compare prices before you buy here. I called around and found much better prices on outboards and service. For what they charge your boat should be returned in better operating condition.
Lynn Logan: We recently purchased a used boat from this marina and had very smooth transaction, from initial inspection to sea trial to hitching her up to our truck for the drive home. Everything they said they would do, they did. We got an amazing boat at a fair price. Good people!
George Shashaty: Nice place for the wealthy not a middle class product boats pricey friendly service though knowlegable.
Brian F: I own a Grady White and have used Baert Marine for parts in the past. Can't say I ever had any issue with buying parts except maybe that their prices seem 20-30% higher than other dealers. However, they were closer than other Yamaha dealers so "was" what it "was". I don't go here any more, hence the past tense. Why the 1 star? Because there was no option for zero stars.Last year my nephew brought his Yamaha 2 stroke to them based on my referral. They seemed to take a long time and were off with everything they scheduled or estimated. Their service departments troubleshooting process was a parts swapping methodology for electrical and fuel parts. To be clear, my nephew brought it in for fuel issues and mentioned that he was interested in having the carbs cleaned and evaluation of the fuel system. By the time they got to the carbs they were already into the thousands with other parts and had not even run it yet. OK, maybe they are being thorough? They claimed the carbs were too bad to cleaned which was one of the most ridiculous and lazy things I have ever heard. I have seen some really bad carburetors over my time and have never found a carb so bad it could not be cleaned / rebuilt. They milked my nephew for 3 brand new carbs at over $500 a piece. I think it was closer to 600 each but after labor he was into this motor for almost $5K .... and they have not even started it yet. Claim was also that the carbs would take 2+ months to come in but then came in within 2 weeks and then they made him wait even longer to install them. Makes sense, they likely take better care of their elite customers and put everyone else on the back burner. Finally he got call to come pick up his boat and he was ecstatic. I went with him for this trip to make sure everything went well. Started it up and sounded ok. We were not 1000 feet from the dock and the engine accelerated outside of the throttle out of control, then died. Would not restart. Pulled cover off of outboard and saw one of the bolts from one carburetor in the bottom pan and another backing out / with a loose carburetor.Result was.... get this.... (because it shows how bad these people really are) - Blown head / piston and Baert Marine claimed that there was water in the two stroke oil that caused it and claimed zero responsibility/accountability for the loose carburetor. They even offered to sell him a new Yamaha engine and said that his was older and should be replaced. WHAT? WHAT? WHAT? I could not believe what I heard. I saw the carb hanging with my own two eyes. I was holding the loose bolt in my hands. When a 2 stroke gets water in the combustion chamber, it dies. You get steam as a sign just as this happens and it boggs down rather quick. When you mix too much air (such as when a carb is wide open and loose) the engine keeps going until it melts. Think about how a fire is supported and when you throw water on it vs some wind. Simple high school chemistry?Needless to say, my nephew got completely screwed from this dealership and we will never go back nor refer anyone there ever again. I hope they go out of business and I even made a complaint to Grady White about them. There are many better options out there. If you decide to still do business with them, I hope you have better results but to me their integrity is shot. Management ultimately decides how/if they take care of their customers and do the right thing. They did not.Find a dealer that is more accountable and will take care of at least their own mistakes. Trial and error methodology is also unacceptable. Test out all major systems then tell the client about the potential costs after an assessment. Even if a range. I'm sure that if he knew that the costs of repairing a 12-14 year old outboard could be 5-6K, he may have considered other options including a re-power.
Ed Cloutman: Grady white the BEST around
milo 04sox: They are great people who are selling great products. Thank you for the time you took with me over my purchase...
Bob Park: Very courteous, very quick service. Would highly recommend.
RedSox Fan: I could write a book with my recent bad experiences here. Shame on me for keep going back though. Really hoped they could resolve my issues but clear that they are not good at solving problems, only suggesting new parts and service time on the same problem.Issues: They take a LOT longer than they estimate, terrible communicators, overcharge for their services, and do not stand behind their work (especially their mistakes). To be clear though they did not used to be this way but over the last year or so, they have gone downhill. Heard a rumor from another boat dealer that they are struggling financially which may be contributing to their reduced quality of service. No matter the reasons, I am one Grady White boat owner that will never return to this place.
Molly Ruggles: professional, knowledgeable, well organized.
Thomas MacDougall: I bought a boat from Baert Marine in March of 2018. I spoke to them for the first time at the boat show in Boston and began what was a quick, professional, and painless, negotiation. I took delivery in early May and have enjoyed the boat since. I scheduled my 20 hour service and it was as easy and professional as the negotiation and delivery process. My expectations have been exceeded every step of the way. Baert is a top notch operation from sales through service, they model responsible professionalism in every aspect of their business.
Gina Belmonte: Excellent
Thomas Jevon: very friendly salestaff, excellent selection of boats and rigid inflatables
