Dick Review: Every meal I've had is top notch. Reasonable pricing, nice outdoor area when the weather is good. Service is great, and whoever the chef is kills it.
Alethea Dys-Peirce: The food was amazing and our servers were great. The interior was just a bit too dark and felt like it needed a good scrub.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Peter Sward: You can have the classic dish of Carne Alentejana ($16.95) at @friendsrestaurantlowell. "Marinated cubed pork with littleneck clams in a zesty white wine sauce, served over cubed potatoes with rice." Or you can have the "A Chefe" version for $21.95 that adds scallops (1 large) and shrimp (3). Not sure if this was worth the extra $5. There were three whole clams, so it wasn't exactly an abundance of them. The potatoes were cooked perfectly and then lightly fried. The pork was tasty and tender. The gravy was fantastic, well seasoned, and really delicious. It was plenty of sauce, and that makes me happy. The white rice was unremarkable and cold.Second photo is Bifes De Porco Amigos ($17.95). "Fried pork steaks, flavored with garlic and white wine. served with fried potatoes and rice." All the other pork dishes said pork loin, so I'm not sure why they called them pork steaks? This was pork loin as well. The rice was warm today, and the potatoes were just lightly fried. Three good-sized slices of tender pork in an excellent sauce. I think this was just about the same sauce that I got with my previous meal. It was coldish outside, and it was coldish inside as well.
Alvaro Fagundes: We had a awesome experiences here. We booked a 20+ person party for a baptism and the place was great. The food and apps were fresh. The staff was very attentive to our needs . Highly recommend this restaurant.AlParking: Parking is easy , staff of great, owner is involved.
Joao Bruno Trindade: Cool 😎 place...good food
ROSA ALCANTARA: I’m giving it a 1 because I can’t give a 0.We were there last night and the place is small and was very loud. The food was horrible and the service was even worse! The only good thing about the place was the drinks because you can’t screw that up.. sumols and the beer but the waitress spilled the beer all over my husband. This place is not worth your time or money!I don’t know how this place gets a 4.5 rating when I’ve been to many Portuguese restaurants on many..many trips to Portugal and this place doesn’t even compare!
Adolfo Varela: Parking: It is on the side of the building or by the street
Megan Phillips: This is a good place. The bar is separate from the dining area which makes for a nice experience. The food was good and reasonably priced. Went on a Friday night, it was busy but not overcrowded. The drinks, appetizers and food came out pretty quickly. Out waitress was wonderful and very friendly. Would definitely recommend trying friends restaurant!
Darryl Brooks: We found this location on yelp. They have a bar area, seperate dining area, and a small outdoor space. Our server was very pleasant, and was able to suggest some favorites. The chef surpise appetizers was full of flaor. The sauce was perfect for dipping our bread in. My sirloin tips were prepare just right. My wife loved her steak and said she hasn't tasted authentic Portgual cuisine since coming from Portugal. Going to make it back before our weekend trip is over.
Matthew Girard: Great food and service. The grilled swordfish is solid.
MANDO: Not fun

Jay Ponte: We recently had a Birthday party here for my Mother. George and his crew were absolutely awesome. Food was great, service was excellent and they were very accommodating with letting us decorate the upstairs dining area. Special shoutout to his son Nick which was hustling, taking care of us making sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend.
Chuck D: One of the best Portuguese restaurants in lowell. Great food and great prices. Nice little bar tooFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Elizabeth Donaghey: The best food. The best service. The best people every time.
Peter Sward: I was going to have the standard Portuguese Carne Alentejana but got sidetracked by the specials board. 1/2 Rack of Lamb with Shrimp and two sides for $18.95 could not be ignored. The shrimp with garlic was cooked perfectly. I must admit that I dipped the bread in the garlic oil! The rack of lamb ordered rare was perfectly cooked and really tender with a nice char on the outside. For my sides, I settled on Portuguese fries and rice. I have found that the rice is usually surprisingly good. The table service from the bartender was pleasant. Seems it can get loud in here when they are busy.
Dave Trull: Really good and authentic Portuguese fare. Portions are very generous.
Jill Taylor: Wonderful service. Good food quickly. Lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend.
BILL Lampert: A hidden gem. Went for dinner Tue, 1st day after they came back from vacation. It was packed. I guess I wasn't the only one that missed their food. It was delicious and service was great as always.
Dennis Rebello: It was close for vacation my frist time I went
jeff kahn: delicious. straight forward. friendly atmosphere. fun place with good food.
Matthew Hierons: Good food. Friendly people. Small place a bit noisyParking: Ample parking on nearby mall Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp on one side of building but you will need to have someone open a locked gate for access. This can be done by phone or by making your need known on premise. Other than that there is one step up. They are happy to be of help.
Grant Emmel: Service was excellent. Food was superb. People were neighborly. Like Cheers but better.
Tim Sullivan: Delicious food superb service!!!
Sonny Ivey: Extremely good service very good food from out of town
Christine Masci: The food was amazing for a catering event! The owner was very kind, and helpful. Would go back again!
Shaw Mahini: The food and service are top notch. Espresso martinis are best around. Their steak of the house uses that Portuguese sauce and I crave it pretty often. Then they got that scallops wrapped in bacon appetizer, I usually order like a dozen of them, they are perfect. For a date grab the flaming linguica, it's pretty cool with the dish and effects. Give it a try!
Joey L: Our favorite restaurant in Lowell, five stars all around
Sarah Langathianos: Dine in: Yes Takeout: YesMore
Sollange Martins: This place is not support dog friendly. The owner is rude, disrespectful & ignorant to MA laws!
Paula Norwood: Good food, service and atmosphere. Small but quaint.
Larry Morales-Aybar: Quick and family friendly treat you like you was at home
