Acre Family Day Care: what do users think?
Ananda Coughlin: I requested to transfer my daughter to new provider with ACRE. Was not for negative reason. Current provider was fine. When I visited the office to fill out new paperwork, after giving two week notice, office staff claimed that I have an open DCF case on my daughter and this requires a release. I explained that I do not have an open case or clinical case for my child attending ACRE. They said directly to me that yes I do and again, in order to transfer my daughter ti new provider I must sign a release to DCF. I felt threatened, frightened, confused, anxious - and as if they were trying to gaslight me bc they were directly stating to me that I have an open DCF case/clinical case and must sign release. This conversation did not last long as I became sick to my stomach from feeling attacked, my PTSD and said I had to leave and will continue later.I was then spoken with by supervisor who continued with stating the same things that the office staff claimed about DCF ALONGSIDE that I “ blew up and was yelling and screaming” in the office. I most definitely was not - I was experiencing an anxiety attack from my PTSD and feeling confused/frightened by what was happening to me in front of my older children. The supervisor then stated that her staff called Lowell DCF and allegedly were told that I do have an open case for my daughter. To be very clear - I hold full legal custody for all three of my children. My daughter attending ACRE does NOT have open Or clinical case w Lowell DCF.When this phone call ended - she followed up w me via text. No apology. No accommodations. I would only text bc I did not feel comfortable as I did not want to be lied about my character/behavior over the phone and could simply text and have my paperwork mailed to me so I would not have to be forced into meeting with supervisor in the office. She proceeded to end my daycare service despite my request for accommodation due to my mental health and need for assistance so I could maintain my schedule at work and provide my daughter w new provider I really liked.I was told 4x by staff including the supervisor that the manager would call me back (I gave my email address as well). I was not contacted. I was discharged the following Friday. My daughter came home crying that day.I am currently unable to attend work this week.I do not recommend ACRE Family Child Care. I would not trust my child with “professionals” who manage their business so manipulative and without compassion. They made me feel sick to my stomach and scared. I am now without a weeks check I desperately need due to financial hardship.Never again.

Small Steps Daycare: what do users think?
Nk Nk: This daycare is absolutely caring and wonderful,They do monthly or seasonal photos of your children which comes out so cute ! Everything is updated on app which updates you instantly which include feedings, bathroom breaks, activity and fun updates towards what’s going on and even injury reports so any parents making allegations towards not being contacted just doesn’t know how to check a simple notification on your phone .. sorry not sorry.I can’t get into greater detail on how fantastic this daycare is even provides delicious made meals and staff are hardworking and helpful watch many of them help families in need people of Lowell couldn’t have asked for a better caring daycare.
Natalie Baez: I reported this daycare to the city of Lowell and the state of Massachusetts because my child was physically injured while in their care. If your child has been physically injured while attending this daycare and you have not reported the incident to the city of Lowell and the state of Massachusetts, please make sure to report them.My daughter was at this daycare for 3 weeks and on her 3rd week at this daycare, she was hurt. I went to pick her up one day after work and noticed that she had a huge bruised lip. No one at this daycare called me to let me know what happened and when I asked for an explanation, no one could explain what happened. The owner pretended to look at the camera footage and claimed that she "didn't see anything". She was completely useless and so were the teachers that were supposed to take care of my daughter.I can't believe they didn't even call me. That's how unprofessional this daycare is. DO NOT bring your children here. Please do your research and take your children somewhere else.Other parents have complained about their kids getting hurt here but the owners family & friends try to cover up how neglectful this place is with fake positive reviews. Please take your children anywhere else but here.I regret the minute I came across this place and I wish I could give this place 0 stars but google doesn't allow it.THIS DAYCARE SUCKS!!I HOPE THIS DAYCARE GOES OUT OF BUSINESS!
Bekah Washbook: My daughter went here almost 3 years. She grew to love the teachers and felt it was a family environment. They have 3 separate sections for different aged kids with activities best for their age. They use an app during the day to send photos and updates which I absolutely loved. If there ever was a problem Ms Karen (owner) was always available to talk and listen to your concern. We left due to moving out of the state but if we hadn't moved I would still be there. Great daycare!
Erina Khin: My daughter has attended daycare here for 2 and 1/2 years and we will be sad to be leaving due to entering pre school. My daughters experience here was so beneficial to her. She was taught a lot of social skills as well a great curriculum that has put her ahead of her peers. Communication with the daycare was very professional and they were quick to respond via kinderlime app. I love the fact that we need a key card to enter as well as providing healthy snacks and drinks throughout the day ❤️ When we do expand our family this will be our first choice to provide care :)
Monica Hok: My son loves it here- been here since he was eight months.. he's now five and it's time for all the tears and goodbyes. His first day at daycare- Ms. Karen as well as Ms. Andreia filled me in on just about his every move, took pictures, texted me and even conversed with me when I arrived to pick him up. It obviously was a little nerve-racking, having him be my first child; the attachment was so real. But, I was always reassured that he was in good hands and that's exactly what it was. HE WAS ALWAYS IN GOOD HANDS. Now, obviously with my son being older, he's able to provide all that for me. But, nevertheless the teachers always tell me anything important concerning my son. (THAT'S HOW IT SHOULD BE.) Ms. Karen, Ms. Andreia, and the entire team has done so much for my son. They are all appreciated!!!! I mean they are practically my son's "moms", he's there majority of his day. Trust plays a huge role and I never have to once question when it comes to letting him go for 4+ hours a day to daycare. He comes home with great, educational stories about his day, from what he learned to what he ate. I have to give a big round of applause to Ms. Karen & the team. His learning, speaking skills, use of vocab, manners, etiquette is all with the help of them. Especially being a single mom, they are nothing but great help. I can't stress it enough.... (I know other parents can relate.)Small Steps Daycare deserves nothing but great ratings!
Margaret Kavanagh: This rating is at ZERO. First, let me point out that the only people rating it 5 stars are friends and family of the owner, Karen Odle. Please READ CAREFULLY TO WHAT I AM WRITING TO SAVE YOUR CHILD! It’s THAT serious.I was employed by Karen. Terminated after being hospitalized with multiple doctors notes. My son was as well. No phone calls, emails, or text messages were returned...I witnessed a staff member (skinny oriental girl) put a child with “suspected autism” (her words, NOT MINE) into a cubby where mattresses go and kept her there for AN HOUR!! This same staff member would pull on the children’s hair and lock them in the bathroom with the light off because “it’s funny”. SICK! When I’d bring this up to Karen, the next day or two I’d somehow receive a “write-up”!My son was personally grabbed and dragged by his arm by an older staff member (White woman 60-65 years of age) and when I asked for the camera footage and action to be taken immediately, I was terminated. Good riddance! God saved us from possibly a lot worse! One staff member (works in the kitchen. Spanish woman 40 plus years old) IS WORKING UNDER THE TABLE WITH NO BACKGROUND CHECK!! That seriously freaks me out. Also, it’s time that individual stops abusing a system that’s meant for those who need it!Not to mention the owner would disappear during the day and not come back to work, On multiple occasions leaving myself and two 19 year olds to watch 15 plus children when that is TOTALLY ILLEGAL.Yes, everything I’ve shared with you has been reported. This woman is pure evil and has no business whatsoever to be running a daycare. If you love your children PLEASE, PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND BEFORE YOU DO, DO YOUR RESEARCH.P.S. The proof is in the surveillance system.
Carolynn Bennett: This is an amazing daycare to take your kids. I’ve been going here since 2016 and my son loves going to this daycare. He wakes up every morning asking me to go to daycare so he could see his friends and teachers there. I also have my 18 month old daughter that go here as well and she loves it. She loves walking into daycare and seeing the teachers and the kids. The teacher are amazing and take good care of my kids when they are there. They always clean feed and always happy when I go there. Ms. Karen is an amazing people and she cares about the family’s that attended her daycare. I wouldn’t send my kids anywhere else besides here
Megan P: My son loves it there! When he is having emotional morning(from waking up to early)going in his teachers take him and hug him and tell him everything will be fine. They even offer to lay him down to continue to rest if he needs it. They always have breakfast ready for the kids as they walk in. My son teachers update the app with everything they are doing including taking pics(which is why they have the phones out) also they use their phones to update the app. Ive walked in on them taking the pics and updating the app on their phones. When I had a problem with something Karen took care of the problem within 24 hours of the issue taking place. My son has never been in danger at this daycare. please believe I would never bring him back if he was! Family emergency, vacations, and poor employee actions are out of Karen's control but believe me she gets the coverage and staff help in every room! No work environment is perfect weather you work there or not! If they state thought this place was so terrible she would not be in business! Going above and beyond and trying ruin this ladys dream business is disturbing. If your unhappy close that chapter and take your business elsewhere ! No need to leave a mess behind you as you walk out!Karen Thank you for all you do and keeping my son happy!
Teresa Barrera: My children are presently at this center. They have been there since March. They were with a home provider since birth (one for 2 year and one for 4 years) who they were very attached to but that provider closed. I was VERY picky on a center when I had to move them. I researched tons of daycares and visited 5. I made my choice to send them to Small Steps and I am glad that I did. My son loves the preschool class and the teachers. My daughter loves the teachers in the toddler room and her friends. I have stopped into this daycare unannounced at different times of the day and NEVER found anything inappropriate going on and my children are always happy, clean, fed, changed and tired at the end of the day when I pick them up. My daughter who catches everything easily has not been sick once since she started there except for the basic cold. She is in the same room as the child that came down with MRSA and not one other child there has it including her. Anytime I did have a concern I spoke with Karen and she addressed it. They have fun activities (this week is teddy bear week where they even had a teddy bear picnic) and they have an app that you can check on the kids through out the day. I am writing this review on my own free will without any persuasion from anyone because I don't think that it is fair for someone to be writing review after review bashing a business and making up fake accounts to leave additional reviews and having their friends leave reviews that have not now or ever had their kids there or even have kids! Clearly there is a scorned parent here who had "concerns" with a daycare that they left their child in and didn't have anything bad to say until her child got "terminated". Anyone looking from the outside in can clearly see what is wrong with this picture and what is really going on here. The child was terminated, the parent didn't make the choice to take the child out even after expressing concerns. Reading family members of the terminated child who state that she heard horror stories everyday about the daycare BUT the parent left the child there instead of taking her out. I know if I had concerns like that, I would have pulled my kids out IMMEDIATELY. I back up the owners decision because in my eyes she made a decision based on protecting the other children there from a contagious disease. If anyone knows anything about MRSA you would know the most popular place to contract the disease is in a nursing home on which its been said that the parent works. Slander and defamation of character can be a serious issue. There is a difference between opinion, freedom of speech and defamation of character. This is a real review from a satisfied parent of children that presently attend this daycare.
Veronica Lach: Great daycare, friendly staff, good activities!
Kayla Haak: Be better, do research and send your kids elsewhere. 👌🏼
Sara Cleary-Rayball: Do not send your children here! Do your research!!
Jaylee Walker: I feel small steps daycare is a good choice to bring your child to because all teachers are protective, supportive, and active. Also, they’re loving to all children no matter who the child is. We all grow love for the children that come here, it’s like having another family when you come here. We have routines that are followed everyday. We also have events throughout each month, we make sure each an every child eat a good meal both hot and cold. We make sure every child is productive and learning all in one. Most of all, if an incident did occur we make sure parents are the first to have a picture and description as to what happen. These children are all amazing and smart! Teachers do have some part in that ! 😊
Carryon Earth: Deserves noting less than 5 starts. Amazing care. Even has an app that lets you keeps track of everything going on with your child down to nap time diaper changes and what time they eat. A lot of staff still haven’t even met them all! All I can say is THEY ARE ON POINT ALL THE TIME! I love the fact that I feel safe with my son there I don’t have to worry about what’s going on with him during the day! And they are CLOTH DIAPER FRIENDLY! ( YAY ). They are very organized when it comes to cubby space and lunches. they have a great surveillance system of the daycare in and out! If anything where to happen it won’t slip through the cracks. My son is 1 1/2 he is very happy here ! The staff are excellent they treat my son like there own. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Great job!
Mary Odle: Excellent daycare in all ways...should be 10 stars!

Little Sprouts Early Education & Child Care in Lowell: what do users think?
gabriella montalvo: Jaimie is the absolute BEST! She's always there with a smile on her face and welcoming this kids and parents so warmly. She makes it so easy for drop off in the morning. Absolutely love her!!!
Winfred Wairimu: Our baby girl has grown so much with the help of the teachers at Little Sprouts, Lowell. Beginning her steps at toddler 2 with Ms.Rosa and Ms.Isabella, she developed her character and love for learning new things. Rosa and Isabella became part of our small family. We love and appreciate their help and love towards our little one ever since. Then as normal as it can be for any parent, her transition to preschool was scary at first, more so for me 🤭. However, we were accepted by Ms. Zahara and Ms. Kimberly, who both made the transition be so bearable. Our daughter is loved and appreciated, and this means so much to me than anything else really. So THANK YOU teachers!!!!!! This mama right here, approves 👏🏼👌🏼
Richie S: Leighsandra and Jessica are outstanding teachers. love how Leyla interacts either with plying with blocks or trying to read books. Love receiving pictures during the day to see how her day has been going. When I pick her up I ask how her day was and they tell me even though we still get a report but I feel interacting is better and talking to the teacher. Leyla has a blast with them during the day.
mariamgelie santaella: To all Preschool teachers and staff members we can't thank you enough for what you do! My daughter has been more interactive with other children and isn't as shy not to mention she actually has friends :) Ms.Julie has been super welcoming from the start, also Ms.Jenna is a sweetheart Audrey is super excited to see her face in the morningTHANK YOU ALL 3
Beteline Nherisson: My son Elijah started going to Little Sprouts in September, he loves his teacher Julie. He has been to other daycare where he doesn't even want to go back or its always a struggle to go in, but with this daycare; he will talk about it to everyone and always has nice things to say about his teacher Julie. I am glad we found this place, because when I am at ease when I am at work and that's a blessing.
Stella isiuwa: My son just started at Little Sprout, and he is settling in very well. I love the environment and his teachers in infant 2 are very kind and take good care of him
Gisel Negron: Ms.Julie what can I say your the best and I appreciate everything you do for Jaydis!!! Xoxo
Daniel Chhliv: Great facility and outstanding teachers! Highly recommend :)
Clare Fortune-Lad: Steer clear. My son has a straightforward allergy to wheat. A high school substitute took over during snack time one day and was not given any information about my son's life-threatening condition. She handed my 3 year-old Ritz Crackers, which he ate and consequently suffered anaphylaxis. The Little Sprouts administrators acted too busy to be bothered by this situation. One almost hung up on me when I called to ask her to take a second look for my son's Benadryl while my husband drove over to respond. Yes, they had lost his life-threatening medication. Then, they lied to us about what had happened, which could have killed him because information is power and we did not have much time to save his life. Even after we had to administer an Epinepherine (Epi) Pen and call 911, an administrator claimed that he "shouldn't have had a reaction to Ritz Crackers" (first ingredient: wheat flour). We spent the evening in the ER and never brought our son back to this terrifying place.
Charlene Hou: I love Little Sprouts and appreciate all that has been done to keep doors open while keeping the program safe for the children during the pandemic. They have wonderful teachers and a dedicated education director to come up with fun, age-appropriate curriculums and lesson plans complete with songs and crafts.I am indebted to all of my kids’ teachers the last few years— Lida, Jamie, Mikayla, Kim, Talia, Tatiana, Tommy, Nathasia, Krystal— as well as the countless support teachers and helpers. Thank you for caring for my children when I am unable to. For taking so many pictures to share with me and teaching them sign language and other skills like using the potty and sitting down when eating! For the daily notes of what the kids ate and when they slept and when they were changed. For making school so fun that even a one year old likes to go to school. You guys are so good at what you do.
Leigh McNutt: I’m in aww of how much my boys are growing and thriving at little sprouts. Greyson adores his teachers and is always sad when he’s ill and has to miss school. Zahara is amazing. As a parent herself she knows the challenges. Kim has such amazing ideas and projects to challenge and foster development. My youngest Miles also loves school and seeing his friends.
Christine Foley: My son went from being disruptive in his old school to thriving and enjoying school at Little Sprouts. He’s made lots of gains thanks to preschool 2’s teachers and aides. Huge thank you to Zahara and Kimberly!
Ashley Maillet: We are so grateful for the teachers at Little Sprouts, they are kind and do a great job guiding little ones. Our daughter has become very confident and the amount she has learned in just under a year is incredible. She loves going to daycare and seeing everyone so that makes us very happy.
Yessenia Fernandez: Me encanta llevar a mi príncipe, solo tiene un añito y está aprendiendo muchas cosas. Cada vez que llego el es un niño feliz.
miriam musyoki: Morgan loves both his teachers Miss Jenna and Miss Isabel! Talks about all the activities the teachers help the kids do whenever he's in school. They're just wonderful and as a parent I feel my child is safe and in the right place. The teachers have worked with my son to help him improve with his skills and can't thank them enough. To the rest of the staff thank you for being there whenever we need your help. We've never regretted starting our kids' schooling with Little Sprouts.
Tanisha Lara: My kids have been going there about a year now. I love everyone& truly appreciate everything they do! My, Tiffany, Tommy, Maura, Lilly, Kim, Zahara & everyone else, we appreciate you!!
Xiomara Santiago: Sofie is my daughters teacher and she is so wonderful and keeps me updated through the day and is responsive when I check up on her during the day as well.
Nikki Braga: Jamie and Lida are so compassionate and patient with my son as he has just started in their classroom. Not only do they give me time to talk with them each morning, they are helpful with their feedback or answering any questions I may have. They show my son all the love that he needs to feel safe and secure to explore and learn at school!
Vero Njambi: Since my child joined little sprout she has learned more skills, she can’t stop talking about her teachers(ms bell and ms Jenna ,)she also plays teacher pretend games with her dolls and uses her teachers names, this means she loves them.good work teachers.
Lania Rodriguez: MY kids have been going there for about a year now and you can definitely see the improvements in their speech and body language. The teachers there really take care of the children and I wish they could stay there forever. They are just amazing ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Tammi Gomes: Love the staff in the preschool. Dante is clearly loved in his class. The teachers are wonderful so glad I chose little sprouts.Tammi

Guemali Madera: We can not recommend this place enough. Bether is wonderful with kids and she not only makes sure their safe and fed, but also teaches a lot of ore academics! She looked after both of my children and would still be my childcare provider if I hadn’t moved out of state. My kiddos love love love her and still talk about her often.
