Taste Buds Kitchen: what do users think?
Beth Dunne: My kids loved their April camp week at Tastebuds! They are looking forward to going back for some days this summer!
Karen Atkins: My grandson really enjoyed it, and I learned a lot, as well!
Krista McManus: So much fun!
mark williams: My son went last summer and loved it. Our daughter went today with him for the first day of spring vacation and she loved it also
Sandra Swindle: Had a great time !! Instructor and her team were awesome. Will definitely try another class. Thanks for a fun evening, learned a lot !!
Becky Wiberg: Third class at TBK and I have been delighted yet again. My daughter and I marveled at what we learned from our Chef. Small changes in technique make big changes in taste, plating and preparation. The kitchen is exceptionally spacious and clean. This is my new go to night out!!
Kelsey Loring: They are very much about the money brought our 4H group there. Was booked for a sweet and savory field trip. They were supposed to Make cupcakes and one other dish. The company I guess tried to contact the wrong person and when they didn't here back. The manager or owner decided that it would just be cupcakes with buttercream NO savory dish at all. When discussing with her she short with us and kept bringing up the contract. However not once acknowledging that on the "Contract" We had a point of contact person listed that they never reached out to. So we paid $35 each for 16 children to receive 4-5 cupcakes to take home. When I asked her what the savory item they would make was because of the lack of proper communication her response was buttercream. I then said so just cupcakes because in no world is buttercream considered a savory dish. She was just unpleasant and kept saying well this is what we have i just need the remaining balance due. Once she received that never saw her again. Never again.NOTE In her response about "contract" she doesn't mention how they did NOT reach out to our point of contact person which was me that we SPECIFICALLY stated on said "Contract" She also doesn't take any responsibility or offer any apology because well she got the money and once she had it we never saw her again. Such a shame so many better places and people who will treat you better.
Stefanie Gentile: My 7 year old and her girlfriends had the best time!! We'll be back soon!!! Thank you
Ingrid Strange: The instructions were clear and informative. I even learned how to cut an onion correctly...wish I had known that decades ago! The staff were helpful and attentive. Everything was prepped and ran smoothly making everyone feel like a successful chef. The food was amazing!
Laura Holguin: We had a fantastic time, everyone was very helpful and friendly.
Beverly Friberg: My daughter had a wonderful 6th birthday here! The TBK staff members were energetic, kind and great with the kids. They were super organized, and thought of every last detail. The event space was clean, inviting and fun. Loved it! I would definitely do another party here in the future.
Debra Lang: We had so much fun and the food was delicious.
Christine Tebbetts: We were a party of 6 and had a great time making pasta. Chef Harry was informative and helpful food was yummy
Kimberlee Burton: I enjoyed making all 3 dishes with my girls during the Ramen Family cook night. Classes definitely work well in groups of 3-4. Tasks are divided between the small group and each of us had a great time! (Ages 9 and 11)
Brian Milewski: Wonderful time. Great people to help with the lesson. Outstanding venue and tasty food.
Brittany Regan: So fun, well paced, and delicious treats!
Michael GiConte: Went today with my Mother and Sister and had a blast. All is very well done and the chef was fantastic at explaining things. Recipe was homemade ramen and turned out delicious. They allow you time to eat your meal at the end. Very fun and informal I would recommend highly! Also if you take the adult class you can bring beer or wine. Will definitely be back.
Leah Hoosick: The pasta class was fantastic! We loved the atmosphere and they made it so simple for those of us who don’t typically venture into this kind of cooking. We will definitely be back for more classes!
Kayla McEachern: Chef Victoria and her staff were so amazing and the recipes were delicious!
Donna George: Such a fun and relaxing time! Instructor was great and the food was fantastic. Fairly easy recipes. We made eggplant parmesan, mushroom risotto and homemade cannoli. I look forward to my next visit!
Meaghan Fitzgerald: We have done their programs at another locations and they have been wonderful. My daughter was signed up for two camp classes as a gift from her grandmother for her birthday. They canceled the camps and did not notify us. When we contacted them for a refund Laura hung up on us. The customer service was atrocious and truly disappointing. If your class isn’t cancelled you will have a great time. If it is, good luck getting a refund. I do appreciate the reply from taste buds however if my child wasn’t registered why was was my mother charged? Why did she pay $150 dollars to a business in a state she doesn’t even live in? Random Theft? Or my daughter was signed up for the camps. I would love to hear a better explanation and how they intend to ensure this doesn’t happen in the future.

Eric Wilson: My partner gave me a private cooking class with Shilpi for my birthday - just the two of us! She worked with us on a menu before we arrived, tailoring the dishes to the Indian cooking skills I wanted to learn. When we arrive she walked us through the dishes, confirming what my goals were, making tweaks to the menu, and then we started chopping. It was hands-on all the way through, with excellent explanations about the hows and whys. And she patiently answered all my questions while guiding us through each dish. Then we sat down to a delicious feast which did not disappoint! Now I am looking forward to taking Shilpi's online courses!Shilpi is an excellent chef, friendly, fun and interesting. And very nice!If you like Indian food and would like to learn to cook it yourself, Shilpi's classes are an excellent choice!
Joyce Tavon: I highly recommend Shilpi's private cooking class! I purchased one for my partner's birthday since he loves Indian cooking. We took it at Shilpi's house. She's a fabulous teacher--enthusiastic, excellent at explaining things, and goes the extra mile to customize the class. Even though she's been teaching for years nothing about this class felt routine. She took so much care to individualize the class to our interests. Her kitchen space worked well and her family was very kind and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed this and learned a lot! And cooked some delicious Indian food. Take her classes!
Evan Hindman: Excellent cooking class. Shilpi is a great instructor - patience, helpful, great positive energy. Had a super fun time with our family making our favorite Indian dishes - Chicken Tikka Masala, Aloo Gobi, and Vegetable Biryani. Some of the best Indian food I have ever had! Highly recommend this for anyone who likes to cook and enjoys Indian food.
Debbie M u: I have been fortunate to take many of Shilpi’s classes both in person and virtually. I signed up for a 4 class series in January and she provided vegetarian versions of every dish and I received a gorgeous package in biodegradable packaging with many spices (plenty to make the dishes again). It was the most fun. My dish turned out so well I had to share it with friends. I cannot wait for the next class ❤️
Michelle Kelly-Donohue: We weren’t sure what to expect having a corporate team building experience in someone’s home, but what a treat! Shilpi Made us feel so welcome, at home, we learned so much and ate even more. We shared a fabulous evening together with her wonderful husband. She is hilarious, knowledgeable and fun to be around and I’m excited about my next visit.
Cal Inguanti: My family and I had the most incredible experience with Shilpi. As a family who truly enjoys cooking (and eating), we were curious to learn how to create Indian cuisine in our own homes. Shilpi is as warm and inviting as her beautiful home-kitchen, and I would recommend her class to anyone who is passionate about expanding their knowledge of cooking.Shilpi began our private class by teaching us the nuances of the fundamental spices used in Indian cuisine—gaining this understanding before jumping into cooking was critical. We used this knowledge throughout the cooking process and Shilpi was thorough in answering all of our questions, whether they pertained to ingredients or techniques. Our group of 5 had plenty of work to do—from chopping onions and herbs, to hand-forming aloo tikki, and broiling then simmering chicken tikka masala—which made for a complete, hands-on experience.I’ve eaten Indian food countless times and this was by far the best I’ve ever had—made all the more satisfying by the fact that Shilpi helped my family create it together as a team.Shilpi is an excellent teacher by nature. If you are looking for an enriching, hands-on experience to expand your cooking knowledge, Shilpi’s class is for you. This experience will leave you full (in mind and in belly).Thank you, Shilpi. We can’t wait till next time!
George Scobie: I just signed up for my third month of Tuesday classes! Tuesdays have become an event to look forward to. My partner and a friend come over and we work together to prep and make the meals. We have argued over which one was best but we have always agreed on how much we have liked each and every dish we have learned to make. Shilpi is an energetic instructor, adaptive and has a great sense of humor. She keeps the whole class engaged. If you've ever wanted to try cooking Indian food but don't know where to start, this is the way to go!
Lisa Sanderson: Shilpi tailors the cooking experience for each individual. She was very accommodating with my vegan diet.
Kali Geddes: Shilpi created such a wonderful evening of learning, laughs, and amazing food!!! The setting was so comfortable and welcoming and we loved hearing about the passion Shilpi has for her art. We will definitely be repeat students, can’t wait to go for the next lesson!
Robert Martin: Shilpi is a great teacher and knows how to make the class both fun and informative. We had a great time and hope to do more classes in the future.
Chris Kidd: I’ve been to four or five different cooking places where I take classes to learn different techniques. The best are places that throw you into the kitchen and start cooking. Shilpi’s class is perfect like that, everyone gets a chance to cook and Shilpi is there supervising and guiding us through the recipes. While she did demonstrate on the frying of the lentil fritters, we all got a chance to do the whole process.I loved the class and the chances to learn Indian cooking, which is way out of my comfort zone, made it all the better. Good food great company, I’ll certainly be back for more!
B McNamara: Excellent - great atmosphere, class, food.
Lindsey Nakhoul: Shilpi Ranjan is a wonderful person and chef. Had this pretty cool night making a phenomenal meal with Shilpi. I'd really suggest you to take this easy Indian class. You leave the session with confidence in remaking dishes plus Shilpi makes these adorable samples of spices for you to take home. Not only you have a wonderful night learning new recipes, you leave with much more. These classes makes you new friends and they allow you to swap some awesome life stories.

Two Aprons Cookery: what do users think?
Carleigh Flynn: Katie was an amazing host and teacher! My team and I took a full 3-course cooking class in October 2022 with Katie during a team meeting in the Boston area. Instantly, we were at ease and engaged to learn all about what we were cooking, how to cook it, what to pay attention to, and even alternatives and other ideas. Something I really loved was how much Katie talked about using all of a vegetable (or other whole food) and how she would save certain parts so that they didn't go to waste. She did a great job at helping us at exactly where we were in our own cooking experience, easily kept the conversation going, and engaged as she was one of us. The food was absolutely delicious and I plan to make it for my family during this holiday season! I highly recommend this experience for anyone curious and in the area!
Jen Solomonson: Katie hosted our team for a cooking event. From start to finish, Katie was responsive, easy to work with and incredibly helpful. The team had an amazing time while we cooked a delicious meal from scratch. With her guidance, it didn't matter what level of culinary skills each of us possessed we were all able to take part and enjoy. Her house is lovely and so warm. The meal was one of the best any of us has had, everyone's plate was completely empty at the end of the meal. Can't thank you enough for a great experience and delicious meal, we will all now be replicating.
Brooke Horan: Our global team was together for the first time in-person and Katie's cooking class was the perfect, five star experience for team building and bonding. The kitchen was spacious and immaculate; everything was expertly prepared ahead of time, and I'm still raving about the ease and deliciousness of our multi-course Italian meal. Thank you, Katie, for providing such a memorable experience for our team!
Courtney touchette: We had a great class. Katie answered all my questions and listened to my stories. I was impressed at how delicious all three courses came out.Plus, I have serious kitchen envy!
Sonya Katzen: We did an Ethiopian food cooking class for my mothers 71st birthday. It could not have been better. Katie is knowledgeable, adept and super nice. We felt comfortable immediately and everyone got to participate and work together and then enjoy the meal. We had fun, Katie answered all our questions, explained cooking skills and the menu was delicious. We really and truly couldn’t have had a better time. Highly recommend!!!
April Smith: Attended two classes with "Cookery" in Katie's home and thoroughly enjoyed the experiences and the tips I brought back to my own kitchen. Katie is a relatable, down-to-earth home cook who prepares food you can make the next day. And I did. I was looking to add something to the same old same old and her Easy Peasy Weeknight Meals was a great booster shot to my repertoire. Katie also has the enviable knack (a la Rachel Ray and others) of carrying on a conversation while cooking. The format is demo style where we guests ring a center island as Katie prepares, which is great for sharing among the group. And after the prep, we eat together family style.
Judith Riveness: Loved cooking with Katie. Her recipes are delicious, easy to make and look like you spent hours in the kitchen. I especially liked the tips she gave during our cooking time together. Wonderful class. I highly recommend attending.
Debbra Zucker: The hostess is so friendly & her recipes are delicious yet achievable! Sitting down to enjoy a meal together at the end of the hands on demonstration is the cherry on top!
Claire Nedham: I have attended three of Katie’s classes at her lovely home and thoroughly enjoyed all of them. I managed to pick up some excellent tips with every class and the recipes I took home have been easy to follow by myself and I have successfully reproduced several - it has been wonderful to add some new meals to my repertoire. I especially liked sitting down at the end of the sessions to share a meal with my fellow attendees. I can thoroughly recommend Katie’s classes.
Lesley: I highly recommend Katie's in-home cooking classes. I have taken three classes and came away from each one with new recipes that my family loved. Two Aprons classes are relaxed, informative and delicious - each one ends with a meal at the dining room table.
Lana and Peter: I attended a cooking class in Katie's home just before the holidays and I have to say it was a fabulous experience. Katie is a gracious and experienced host and chef. She was organized, welcoming and informative and fun. While some of the participants wanted to simply watch the process, others were welcomed to dive right in and help with the preparations. In the end, we all sat around her beautifully laid table and enjoyed the fruit of our labors. A delicious meal that could then be replicated at home with the recipes she provided. (ps. I especially loved the extra tips she gave us along the way).
