Alice Pepplow: Panela Restaurant is a little jewel in Lowell! I went there for a quick lunch but was I was so impress that I decided it would be the perfect place to host a surprise party for a friend with about 20 people. They reserved the area behind the bar for us and we were able to bring balloons and table decor… the food was excellent and everybody enjoy it, the drinks were also delicious. We timed our party to start some time before their music starts (that day was scheduled for karaoke) so we can were able to enjoy some fun after eating too. A special shout out to DJ Andres and the Waitress Sara that did a fabulous job working directly with us.. a big thank you to all staff, the kitchen for the delicious food and the bartenders too for all the good cocktails. I’d highly recommend this so cute and fun place. Can’t wait to return soon! Thanks for being so wonderful for my friends birthday party! Nelson Rodriguez: Food is pretty good, ambiance is great (in an old private gentleman’s club), service is ok. We had the choice to sit in either the noisy section or the quiet section. The place wasn’t packed on a Thursday night. We liked the quiet area, though at times it was a bit too quiet. Charming place to eat, good for date night (though I was just there with an old friend).

Justin Isaacson: I have Celiacs. Their menu has a good amount of gluten free options it’s the only reason we came here, and then we got there and found out about 90% of the menu that says gf is in fact not gf. The small options of food I was able to eat was okay, but they dropped my side of mash potatoes on the floor so my only option was a salad at that point. Food took like an hour minimum and the whole restaurant had maybe 15 people in it. They do make a solid Moscow mule though.
