New England Home Medical Equipment: what do users think?
Brian Mooney: Terrible service. The company must be located in south America now because no more English speaking customer service representatives. This company is the worst.
Sal Demetrio: Another once great small owned company ruined by corporate America, or I should say India, as this is who you're patched to when calling the company for supplies. Incompetence on all levels! Has taken over a month to get supplies, sometimes not getting them at all. Look elsewhere for your diabetes supplies. Do yourself the favor. This company should not be permitted to still be in business.
Jamel Hamani: If only I could give them 0 stars. Scumbag company.my experience with this company has been nothing but a nightmare.I had contacted them company several times over the course of two years to re-submit prior authorization to my doctor so that my insurance could properly approve the medication. However, this company failed to properly submit the paperwork, which resulted in me being billed for this. They, on numerous occasions, refused to do so. Why? Laziness is my guess. This has caused me a great deal of stress and inconvenience, and I cannot express how disappointed I am with the company's lack of professionalism. To make matters worse, I was told by a customer service representative that my bill would not be sent to collections. However, to my surprise, I received a bill that was sent to collections. This was completely unacceptable, as I was promised that this would not happen. As a result of the company's incompetence and unprofessionalism, I was forced to spend $1500 out of my own pocket just so i could get out of this nightmare. This is money that I could have used for other important things, and it is a direct result of their inability to do their job properly. You know its bad when you rather spend 1500 than to deal with them ever again.I would never recommend their services to anyone. Their lack of professionalism and commitment to customer service is completely unacceptable. You're better off getting your medical equipment from cavemen.
R Fink: When I first started using them for my diabetes supplies, they were fabulous and actually checked with Medicare about shipping rules. But then the person I was dealing with retired and they became just another medical supply house. When I had an issue and asked to speak with a manager, I was promised a call back - never happened. When I pointed out that they were misinterpreting Medicare rules, I was ignored. I sent them the Medicare info - no response. I could have stayed with my 1st supply house for this type of service. It is disappointing to see them go from great to medical supply house ordinary. The people who take the orders are pleasant to speak with, without that I would have given NEHME 2 stars.Update: I was contacted by NEHME and the issues were discussed. Awaiting an update from Corporate. NEHME was bought out by a large med. equip. co., so went from a locally owned small customer oriented company to corporate. I hope to update again & with good news.Update2: After a sputtering start, the customer service reps seem to now know the Medicare rules and I have had no issues in getting supplies in a timely manner. I am changing the star rating to 4.Update 3: Briefly they were good but the past 2 orders they barely rate 2 stars. Local customer service is gone, all CS is out of a central CS center with people who have a variety of heavy accents which can make understanding difficult. At least they have a callback system (usually takes hours). There is no way to tract your order adding stress as one's supplies near zero. No order tracting on their website, no order updates to your email. So you have to call. So far, they have managed to get the new supplies in before hitting zero.
Derek Pettinato: This is by far the worst company I have EVER dealt with! My supplies are 5 weeks late and every agent gives me a different answer. They tell me my insurance company hasn't sent the prior authorization....I called my insurance provider and they have NOT received the request. 5 days ago they told me my order was expedited and to be shipped in 3 days...today they told me they never received authorization. AND the representative told me that when they called my insurance provider the wait was too long to speak to someone!!!! THAT'S YOUR JOB!!!!!!!!!! THE WORST COMPANY I'VE EVER EVER DEALT WITH!! My attorney will be contacting them!! And as I write this I was told to stay on the line to be switched to another agent....and they disconnected me!! I NEED MY SUPPLIES TO LIVE!!!!!!!!! STAY FAR FAR FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! IF I COULD PUT 0 STARS I WOULD!!!!
Kristen Lanier: I have never written a review in my life. But this company is horrific and they need to be held accountable for their complete disregard for their clients who have CHRONIC ILLNESSES. I have NEVER received my supply order on time.. not once. I have been using them for a year as there currently isn’t another option for me (I’m working on it) I go at least 1 week but usually 2-3 weeks in between when my last glucose sensor expires and when my next shipment comes. The mental toll it takes on me to not have my supplies constantly is debilitating. I take my diabetes extremely seriously and not having my supplies that help keep me in range is horrendous for my mental health. Their site isn’t accurate, doesn’t have the necessary links for what a supply company should offer. I have NEVER received order confirmation or shipping tracking numbers even though they say they will be available at every order. But they aren’t. I have never seen one. Their hold times are over an hour and I have missed a lot of work just trying to get on the phone with someone. I end up having to yell at someone EVERY SINGLE MONTH because no one can do their job. This is a MEDICAL supply company. They should be ashamed of how they manage their company and leave patients without NECESSARY medical equipment. I should have received my order March 27 and it’s now April 3 and I can’t get anyone on the phone, no one has confirmed my order. I have been without a sensor for 7 days. Absolutely horrible. If I could give them 0 stars I would.
Lorrie Dragon: The staff since they sold out to AdaptHealth is beyond deplorable. I’ve had nothing but issues since that time getting my daughter her Diabetes Supplies. The most recent nightmare has been placing an order and checking in a week later to find out the order was never placed! And let’s not forget anytime there’s an issue with insurance etc, when they’re supposed to call you, you don’t get any communication. Trying to get a supervisor on the line is a waste of time, they’re ‘not available’…ever. Find another company if you’re thinking about going through these people. They don’t care about you or your health.
Austin Newman: a few years ago this company was great but this past year they have been nothing but a nightmare for me. to start, at one point I agreed to set up automatic payment for my supplies. After paying and receiving supplies, another $200 was taken out of my bank account, which they were at fault and had to refund it. recently I changed to my own insurance as I turned 26 in order for them to process my insurance they needed a pre authorization from my doctor. it took two weeks for them to get it because they had the wrong fax number that they didn't even ask for. finally they get the authorization and still no shipment. I call and they tell me I owe more money even though I already paid for my supplies. Next they say its all set. I got my supplies in January. and just got another bill for 1,500. Very frustrating I pay for medical supplies that I need and go weeks without. and when I ask to speak to a manager they say that they won't help.EDIT: Also, I am so confused as to who this company is? "New England Home Medical", or "Diabetes Supply" my paper bill says Diabetes supply but the web address to pay online does not work. then I go to New England home medicals website and its different.I simply called to get help logging in since it says there website can't find me in there system. they told I have to call back tomorrow for them to help..What a joke. I can't wait to be done with this last mess of a supply order and cancel my account.
Christina Morgan: DO NOT GO HERE!!! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! I haven't received my cgm sensors in over 3 MONTHS. I have had to pay cash for sensors at a local pharmacy because my insurance won't cover it there. I still haven't received my January order. Last order I received was before Xmas. If your insurance gives you other options, go anywhere else but here. I'm trying to get all my prescription and insurance approvals transferred to somewhere else if that is possible. I'm tired of sitting on hold for hours, transferred to other departments, constantly being told that my dr messed up on Rx or ins approval, and then finally being told they were going to ship yet they never arrived. Listen to all the reviews and save yourself a headache.
Natascha George: This company's customer service is beyond bad. As in, waiting for hours on hold bad. I would give them zero starts if I could. For anyone who has another choice of provider, I strongly recommend you consider it. And they seem to give the same canned answer to every online review. I would love to hear from anyone who ever got a satisfactory response from them to a complaint.
Omkar Sambhus: They were a great place to order medical supplies from but now they seem to have been sold to AdaptHealth and are just awful. The customer service is beyond horrible and you cannot speak talk sense with any of them. This time I placed an order and they hadn't shipped it in 5 weeks citing either insurance issues or doctor has gotten back. I call my doctor and they never heard from NEHME. I make a conference call with NEHME and my insurance and my insurance rep asks them to provide some information, NEHME hung up lol. Please do yourself a favor and try another medical equipment provider.
Heidi Bercovici: This company acts as though they are selling t-shirts and not vital medical supplies. If I didn't have to use them because of my insurance I would NEVER use this horrible company. Every 3 months, it is hours and hours of phone calls, waiting in cue and then the person I speak to has no idea how to (or seeming motivation) to solve the problem. Save yourself the hassle if you can, go to another supplier!
Tori Hollingworth: They have slipped to beyond terrible. 2-hour hold times, none of the online orders are acted upon or even acknowledged. Med supplies are necessities -- not a "nice to have". Unacceptable for diabetics.
Cheryl Collins (Cheryl Collins): This company is lucky people can't give ZERO stars. I order supplies for my husband (he uses Libre CGM device). Worst company ever to deal with -- you have to wait on the phone for an hour to place an order and if you try other methods they don't respond. He is on hold right now and has been for 31 minutes with no end in sight. Run, run, run to any other company to get your supplies -- there is no way they can be as bad as this place. One order I received contained EXPIRED CGM devices -- expired!!! What is wrong with this place.TWO MONTHS LATER UPDATE -- Phone wait times are out of control -- hours on hold. Time to move on. Everybody's excuse that they are short handed due to COVID is getting old. How about actually making people do their jobs.
Sandra Wiseman: I have a child with type 1 diabetes that depends on pump supplies and am a long standing customer. I used to get authoship or resupply via email request. For some reason, they can't seem to manage to ship my last round of supplies. Most times I call am on hold for the entire day and no one picks up. Finally got a hold of someone, assures me supplies will be shipped. Never happened. Back on hold for days. Isn't their entire business to provide medical supplies? I prefer my child doesn't die so will be switching companies.
Terri Medeiroz: Horrible customer service, it's been almost 2 months and still haven't gotten my pump supplies. Will never order from them again!
Katren Cleo: I didn’t even want to give this company one star. I ordered supplies online with no confirmation. Called a week later to check the status of my order and waited 45 min to speak with someone and they said they had my order and it would be shipped the next day and I would get a confirmation email the next day. Didn’t get the confirmation so next day I called and waited 20 min and the rep was rude and he said they were now waiting for insurance approval and nothing would happen til they got that. So they blame the dr or insurance. He also said their online form is unreliable and to call or text for ordering. They have never responded to texts or emails and 20-45 min hold wait is the norm. If your online ordering system doesn’t work take it down!!!! Or let customers know! Now I’m at 2 weeks since ordering and I’m out of sensors. This has been the pattern of customer service since the company changed hands a while back. This is no way to run a company ESPECIALLY for medically necessary supplies!I have read through these reviews and they are pasting the same response to every comment! I will be filing a complaint with BBB and the American Diabetes Association
Jennifer White: What the hell is going on here . Not a single person answers the phone . Orders don't go through online . Kid needs supplies Jesus christ someone answer please
Carolyn Contos: New leadership is disappointing. Impersonal to say the least.
Narendra Kapadia: I try to place order for my diabetic sensors.I have been on the phone for 2 hours and no one answered.Left call back number, but no one returns phone call.Horrible service...Left one star- because google will not allow me to leave 0 Stars.
Sammy: It's pretty clear looking at the timeline of these reviews that this company went from a reliable partner helping me keep my daughter alive to a borderline scam. I've had some issues with the orders in the past but nothing I couldn't figure out with NEHME and my insurance. But the frequency of issues and confusion between NEHME and the insurance company has increased, likely after the change of ownership. But now they are trying to make us pay the deductible worth of thousands of $ on the phone, otherwise they wouldn't ship the order (new policy...). Well, my insurance company has co claim on file. So if there would be any issue with the shipment (lost stolen), you are now a few grand in the hole, no guarantee that you will receive another shipment without having to pay it again.

Omnipod® Insulin Management System: what do users think?
Paul Hanson: Truly a life changing medical device.-makes having diabetes a smaller part of my day.-makes controlling my diabetes much easier.Even if a true "closed loop" system comes out with a tubed system, I wouldn't change.#IamaPodder
cindy forant: My husband uses these pods and they are horrible!!! They constantly fail, the insulin that he looses is ridiculous, every other pod inclusions! The money that our insurance pay for something that consistently fails is ridiculous, and you call and get garbage results!! Insulin is expensive to consistently loose!!!
Zach Taulbee: Awful - used for about 2 weeks. Constant highs. Seemed like it was not administering any insulin. Left a lump wherever the cannula was that bled quite a bit. Much better control with manual injections. The pods do NOT 'learn' anything - just calculates your total insulin delivery and uses your current blood sugar to calculate boluses - that is it. It is not 'automatic' in ANY way.
Kristen Mills: I absolutely love Omnipod I’ve been on Omnipod for 6 years and Omnipod 5 since July 2022 it’s helped lowered my A1C the automated system is amazing it slows down how much insulin you get when it starts to go low it’s linked to Dexcom G6 CGM so when you eat something you can see what it is on the Omnipod 5 controller and give your self insulin by how many carbohydrates you eat I would definitely give it a try because the freedom of being tubeless and not having to get caught on literally everything is amazing
Marty: Sunday night need to change the batteries on my PDM by omnipod flashes a white screen try multiple batteries nothing works 10 minutes on hold waiting for help a recording comes on offering me to have a call back leave my phone number it tells me to call back within 1 to 2 business days. Doesn't do me much good now does it. This company continually fails the people who rely on it. Completely worthless.
Spencer “SJ” Jenson: I placed an order for the new Dash and have been waiting for three weeks to receive the PDM. They haven’t given me any status updates and only give excuses as to why I haven’t received what I have ordered. They only care about getting paid…
Maneli: The Hotline or better sayed the customer care for Switzerland/Europe is bad. It is mainly one lady from Germany we had to deal with all the time as she seemed to have the overhead or lead for everything within the company. My son was customer for over 2 years. She talks soooo much and her voice is not what you want hear several times a year, believe me. She is not an empathic person for customer care related issues as diabetes as it is not easy to handle for the person involved. The system itself might be not bad or better sayed its an alternative. But I am really glad he changed to a real pump with sensor connecion and with a better customer care.Wish you all succes for your treatment of Diabetes and take care.
Theresa Harris: Omni pod is great! It is tubeless and discreet, and it is light in weight. It is very convenient, and you can sleep better at night away from all the buzzing and noises that comes with other pumps.
Rafail Moldavsky: I really like the Omnipod Dash pump, I also use the Deacon G6, which I also love, but unfortunately the two systems still don't work together as one. I can't wait for Dexcom and Omnipod to work together.
Jim Massengale: I've been ordering for 8 years with this company and the last two years it has gone straight downhill. I currently have an order outstanding for PODS that has been over 1 month now and still no PODS. They have a terrible call service and they never return calls either. I have to find a better company.
Ali Graver: The system is great but dealing with the company is always a pain. I can't currently place an order because the entire order department is on vacation for a week. It's the last week of the medical year!
Julie Lambdin Merritt: It seems that I cannot start the Omnipod Dash because they are back logged for reservoirs. This reminds me of being a kid in a candy store, can look but you can't touch
Jeremy Vanderlip: Fantastic. Keep up the good work.
Willis Rethaford: I have sent ....
Jeff Wheeler: The Pod has changed my life. My A1C shows I no longer show as diabetic. A1C is 4.6. I am a diabetic and I need insulin. So this system gives me steady consistent protection.
Kim Murphy: When they get it compatible with my Android phone then I might think about it. Not interested in ios only app!!!!
Josef Lisoski: Came from Medtronics had them since I was 18 switched to omnipod at 30 now 32 I’m an FDNY paramedic so I’m pretty active, and although it’s more convenient of a system it has a lot of flaws! within a year I had to replace my pdm 7 times! I wish I had an app on my cellphone and/or after being out so long the company would fix bugs. I also constantly have issues where I can not enter my BGL due to “Bluetooth unavailable” I try about 6 times then I will most of the time get it to work, also why can’t omnipod work with a cgm like dexcom or freestyle Libre to integrate the bgl! Before you respond I know you will say something to the effect of thank you for letting us know but we would like to keep your privacy please contact us at 1-800 we really could care less and are sending out a generic response but only care about sales
C Smith: Omnipod is many worlds away from the previous Pump Co. I used. Customers come First. When I Have to call re: an alert or failure of my pump, they Replace it! Previous PUMP Companies want MONEY to replace THIER own mistakes! Insulet TAKES CARE of their customers!
Elizabeth Lamkin Cebul: I am in love with this pump AND this company. For me, the biggest benefit of the Omnipod is the lack of tubing. I love that I don't have to worry about catching the tubing on something and ripping it out, and I love that the "Personal Diabetes Manager" (PDM, the device that controls insulin delivery) doesn't have to be on my person at all times. I can leave it in my purse and just grab it whenever I need to. I can still swim as much as I would ever want, and the adhesive has only been a problem once (after a day of going in and out of the water). Before Omnipod, I was on multiple daily injections. 10/10 would recommend becoming a Podder! It has helped me exercise without getting lows, it has made it easier to deal with blood sugars in public, it makes it possible for me to deliver extended boluses when I know that I will get high blood sugars overnight (after pizza or ice cream). On top of all this, every single interaction I have had with Omnipod has been OUTSTANDING. They go above and beyond to ensure that I get replacement pods when something malfunctions. They have a team of people who train you on how to use the pump and then check in with you to be sure all is well after you've been using it for a few weeks. This is the kind of company I want to work with - especially when dealing with insurance/the medical field more generally is often frustrating. As their customer service always says, they are there for you 24/7/365.Thank you, Omnipod!
Don Daniels: Love omnipod, but it would be better if pods would last at least 10 days
dave cesaro: Like the Omnipod system but needs to be easier to use in sunlight. Almost impossible/ difficult to read
