Short Path Distillery: what do users think?
ROGER: Great drinks. Friendly employees and music.
Kristen Dionne: This is it, this is the place! Especially if you are a fellow gin enthusiast like me. I went with a group for a tasting ($10 bucks each to try gin, triple sec and tequila!) and had a great time. Best thing I tried was their limited edition blueberry gin that I think drops Memorial Day weekend and is available all summer but I cannot wait until I can get my hands on a bottle, it was so delicious! I enjoyed a few Tom Collins at the bar after the tasting and that too, was spot on for my taste buds. I look forward to coming back, and perhaps on a week night because it seems like there's something fun always going on, like trivia or ravioli making night for example.
Lisa Phillips: Great distillery with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Cocktails are tasty. Interesting interior.
Derek Barbosa: If you’re looking for a great place to have a good drink, look no further.I’m ashamed to say that I’ve never stopped by here until this past weekend. The place smelt of strong aromatics (the same ones they use in their gins?) and having the distillery equipment as a backdrop really sold me on the place.Super friendly staff that enjoy being there is always a plus. The drinks were darn good, honestly. The gin drinks I had were very smooth, you can tell they make some quality stuff. I definitely recommend the Dreamland as an interesting spin on your classic “Gin and Tonic” drink.I need to make sure to go back and grab some to take home!Support your local businesses and go grab a bottle and buy a drink!
Mike & Eddie Lewandowski: Just attended a tasting at Yankee Spirits in Swansea. Zach's presentation was very engaging and the gin, rum, whiskey and triple sec that we sampled were great! The treat at the end made the experience complete! Although we picked up a couple of bottles tonight, we have been enticed to visit the distillery in Everett.
Brandon Edgerly: All their spirits are great but Myrtle Liqueur is absolutely phenomenal and needs to be spilled into the water supply for all to enjoy at all moments of the day.
Heidi Sorgenfrei: I absolutely love their flights, and I can’t wait until it’s warm enough to go have one on their outdoor patio (which is also pet-friendly!) this summer. Such a great distillery!
Dmitriy Ark: A really cool local distillery with a small but fabulous selection of alcohol made right here in Everett. Just a short walk from Bone Up and Night Shift.
Cody Kurtz: Incredible distillery, friendly staff, and the drinks - amazing!
Gianpaolo Russo: Got the chance to try the Summer Reserve and Pommeau on a Jtrip Ski retreat and they were great! Unfortunately didn’t get to try the new single malt whiskey because it was gone before I knew it! Great stuff all around.
Kathleen Cotter: To say I have a new favorite brand of whiskey is an UNDERSTATEMENT. I tried it for the first time at a JTrips ski trip -- they had the "Pommeau" which was an amazing apple brandy. Let's just say it had the whole group twirling... people were fighting over the bottle because it was that good. We had some awesome times with friends and now I have a new spot to try out in Everett! Love you Short Path 3
G B: I had the new Short Path Distillery New England Single Malt Whiskey on a JTrips Ski trip this past weekend and it was amazing! It has a great light smell and goes down so smooth. Perfect flavor to drink alone over ice.
Arianna Dines: Love love love! I stumbled upon Short Path and have really enjoyed it every time I’ve been. It’s super cozy inside and they whip up amazing cocktails. I love that they make all their own spirits, it is just an amazing small business. It’s fun to come here for a drink or two then hit up Nightshift after.
Chris Listenfelt: Great cocktails, friendly bartenders, and really cool atmosphere! Will definitely come back again!
Wanda Dandridge: really nice
Jonathan Hummel: Excellent variety of gins and other distilled liquors! Nice ambience and kind/professional staff. Would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're ever thirsty and in the Everett area.
Myles Steinhauser: Attended the Apple Booze Bash for the first time, even though we are definitely regulars. It's always impressive how much the Short Path Team cares about creating a memorable product in a wonderful environment. I highly recommend all of their spirits, and especially their seasonal events.
James Frudii: Really impressive building, and really like the mission, bit of an odd vibe though, Jeff made our tour a little uncomfortable with a few comments.
Michael Miller: Great cocktails, friendly staff!!!
Daniel Eareckson: Fantastic atmosphere and drinks
Angela Berlingeri: This review is late, but warranted. We planned an event here for late October to celebrate our wedding. Drinks were great, but the sound system was a huge issue. It was cutting in and out the entire time and the staff couldn’t seem to figure it out, which was a huge bummer when you are having a party. Alicia, the manager, was unfortunately not there due to a covid exposure. Please ensure that their sound system is working (and updated) before booking an event here. It was a major bummer for our party.

Doire Distilling: what do users think?
michael a villars: Their bourbon is smooth and delightful, especially on the rocks. The staff is awesome. They are making hand sanitizer too. Very cool. Go see them. You'll love it.
Matt Morais: Sugarshine Cocktail recipe below!Had a very nice experience when I visited last week. Doire has a quaint storefront with nice displays of all their products, as well as a nice tasting area. This distillery offers every type of distilled liquor out there: Gin, Whiskey (Rye+Bourbon), Tequilla, Vodka, Rum, Moonshine... all of it. They are not branded as such in some cases, but have all the flavors you would expect.I primarily drink gin and bourbon, and must say the Flush was one of the better gins I have had. Right on par with the Botanist. The bourbon lacked the oakiness you would expect in a bourbon, it needs to be aged much longer. As a side note, all the bottles below look the same, but the cards dealt on the front are the variety identifiers. A cool concept, but could cause confusion for those that are not aware... the flavor profiles outlined below:++Flush, citrus juniper--Kings, Lemon grass chamomile black pepper corn-Queens, Oris root and rose hips+Jack's, Cucumber mintThe flush was BY FAR the best they offer, the rest are ranked with + and - for best to worst.I also tried the moonshine (sugar shine) which I found pleasant as far as moonshine go. I have used it in a variety of the "Sex on the Beach" cocktail and dubbed it a "Sex in the Woods".My version of the recipe below - please let me know if you try it!!Sex in the Woods......2 parts Doire Sugarshine0.75 parts peach schnapps1.5 parts Orange Juice1.5 parts Cranberry Juice1 spoon of Chambord (optional)Server over ice, shake optional.
Jake King: I am not a whiskey drinker, or even a drinker drinker. But Andy let me sample one of their Sugar whiskeys (I may not have that exactly right) and I have to say, I'm in. I will be back. It was the smoothest drink I've ever had.

Deacon Giles Distillery: what do users think?
Chuck Binda: Had the spiced rum and I have to say it was very good. The bartender was informative and made drinks methodically.
Adam Bottis: Fun place. They had love music the last time I was there and the whole staff was super nice.
K Brennan: Drinks are really good. If you want more unique drink options this would be the place to try. My only request would be that they have a few more common drinks that aren't super out there. But the bartenders are great and every drink I've had has been delicious!
Margaret Collins: Review is for the Speakeasy- Some drinks were great, some were not great, but the ambience is really lacking for a place that describes itself as a speakeasy. Zero charm, which at the price...will just go elsewhere.
Christopher Gibbs: Friendly staff, and the drinks were great! They had a lot of interesting and delicious items on the menu, and I now want to go back and try more.
Josh Casperson: Drinks were absolutely excellent and great atmosphere
Dacia Villafane: Peter was by far the greatest bartender I have ever had in my life. I will remember this experience fondly. Thanks for a great time and great drinks Peter!
Dan Liceaga: This distillery is a gem and Peter is an excellent bartender who took care of us incredibly well during our visit
Matthew Peterson: This place is awesome - the bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable, and they have great events. I'm hoping to go to the next Illegal Locals Only event next year.
Jen Lynch: Deacon cocktails are amazing because they start with a phenomenal product, and are mixed by utter professionals who love their craft. Don't be intimidated by their intense attention to detail; the ambiance is chill and the crowd is always friendly. If you are coming to Salem, you should fit Deacon Giles into one (or more) of your nights.
Michael Thomas: One of our favorite places to go on vacation, look forward to returning next month! Even from states away, convenient hours and event postings always available making our trip super easy to plan. :)
cody Duggan: What an amazing place a staple in the community. Truly the place you want to be if you're out in salem. These guys are so courteous and polite they always give the public advance notice if they need to close for any reason they are the example in a company to model yourself after.
Briana Gonsalves: Fantastic place, especially when The Crypt is cooking!
Crystal Lackey: This is the finest local hidden gem in all of Salem. The drinks, the story, and the owners/staff are all top notch.
Mackenzie Donahue: Had a horrible experience with the blonde bar tender months back, everything else was great but whoever it was needs to leave their home issues at home and not dump their personal drama on me
Lynette Mosher: We live in the neighborhood and we love Deacon Giles, we bring visitors here and buy the canned cocktails and spirits for special guests for gifts. Salem is a year round community and Deacon Giles has great events for locals. We are so lucky to have this unique offering. I highly recommend going, keep in mind October is bananas and this isn't a tourist trap. Worth the visit! Can't wait for the Tiki Bar this summer!
Dylan Bordeaux: Can't say enough good things about DG, drinks are amazing, bartenders are very friendly, and the vibes are amazing
joe Lydon: Great cocktails, great people. One of the only places in town that one night in October will do a “locals only” night. I wish more business would take notice as opposed to pandering to all the mid west Karen’s that invade this place every year and make it a complete hell for the locals. Also for you tourists, the locals only night is one night of the month, you can come here any other day.
Andrea French: The drinks are phenomenal, staff is stellar, atmosphere is quirky and fun, and the clientele is always always intriguing. I absolutely love coming here!
Drew Dixey: Great local distillery that makes amazing craft cocktails you can’t get anywhere else. 100% would recommend and the staff creates a fun and happy atmosphere.
Nancy Epstein: My favorite place to introduce both locals and tourists too. Staff and owners are always amazing. Extremely communicative and share events, hours, and any restrictions/closures on all social media. So many fun special events.

Djinn Spirits Craft Distillery: what do users think?
Forest Miller: Amazing personality from the owner and great variety of spirits
Angela Greene: My husband and I went for a tour and tasting and we had a great time! The owner, Andy, is so knowledgeableand passionate about his craft. Everything we tasted was excellent, we especially enjoyed the Codename line (everyone needs to try Scarecrow, it's the perfect fall drink!) We regret only buying one bottle when we were there but will definitely be back soon for more! It was a really fun afternoon, highly recommend stopping by!
Eric Nguyen: Fun owner and great stuff. I'm in town for the weekend and wanted to explore. I came across this distillery and wanted to sample their supply. The owner was really great to meet and walked me through his process and spirits. I highly recommend stopping in for a tasting. I bought 3 bottles and now have to check my bag for my flight home. That's how good it is. If I'm ever back in Nashua I will pay a.visit.. The scarecrow tastes like Fall in a bottle. You're welcome!
Jeff H: They make a variety of spirits but whiskey seems to be their specialty and I love their smoked honey whiskey. The owner is very nice and welcoming
Paige M: Educational. Knowledgeable staff. Gin without juniper? There's unique treats to be found here! Worth the visit!
Daniel Cancelmo: We had a tour and tasting with the very friendly owner Andy. The tour was very interesting and informative. Everything we sampled at the tasting was delicious. It was difficult to pick what to buy afterwards because it was all so good. We ended up walking away with a bottle of the Henry Knox Gin, a bottle of Single Malt Whiskey, and a bottle of Winter Sun. The gin was much brighter than other gins like London Drys (I also learned what London Dry vs American Dry actually means). The Winter Sun was very unique and delicious. I had never had something like it before. I would highly recommend a visit. We'll be back to pick up more bottles soon!
Michael Godley: Tucked away in a business park is a small distillery making some top notch spirits. Don't miss it when you're in the area. Don't miss Andy the certified spirits geek and creative force behind this family brand. The highlight for me is the Code Name: line of ready to drink cocktails featuring Scarecrow. Andy said he wanted this to taste like warm homemade apple pie when your drink it. Well he hit that nail on the head. Straight from the bottle on the rocks, added to warm apple cider for a toddy or poured on a bowl of vanilla ice cream....the options are limited to your imagination. The one certainty is your taste buds will thank you. Stop by for a tasting Tuesday thru Sunday 12-5 pm or visit the website djinnspirits.com to order online. We brought home 7 bottles of Code Name: Scarecrow to share with visitors this holiday season and give as gifts.
anna94: The owner, Andy, is a wonderful, passionate, and friendly craftsman. Even though we came late for our tour, he waited for us and gave us an exceptional tour. The products that he makes/blends are worth a taste. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone interested in learning the behind the scenes of a distillery, and also if you like border collies.
Eugene Lebedev: I was visiting and googled this place. Andy is very patient, friendly and highly knowledgeable in what he does. He answered all of our questions during our tour with brevity. My mom, sister, and I ended up buying 3 different spirits. I will definitely pop in again next time I'm in the area.
Sagar Gidde: Shall keep in heart for ever since you are making Sanitizers at this typical time.Thank You team Djinn.
Phil Howard: I never knew this place existed until they were on the news about hand sanitizer for free to help out. I stopped by in desperate need as the stores were sold out due to the pandemic. I am so grateful for the time and efforts they put into this and he hand sanitizer is awesome!!!While I was there, I bought a bottle of liquer. The flavor was bold and uplifting. Delicious as well! I can't wait to try their whiskey. I cannot recommend this place enough. One, because they have good liquor. Two, because in the time of crisis the stepped up to help the community. Support local, buy local, and don't forget to patronize those who helped out during times of crises. Thank you for your help!
Faith Eherts: I was picking up at Spyglass and noticed this place, found them on Google, and emailed to see about curbside-pickup (Apr 2020). Andy replied quickly, was very helpful, and I was able to pick up some whiskey and gin after work that same day! Both are delicious sipping spirits and I will definitely keep buying them here instead of a liquor store. I'll be back for a tour and more tasting as soon as possible!!
Brian: Thank you for stepping up and providing free hand sanitizer ! The need could not be dire at this time of crisis - I will surely be a customer for life .
JM: Skips the aging process and tries to sell you mini barrels to age yourself, so whiskey is unfinished and basically rubbing alcohol. I don't get this place [or the rating], the spirits are all basically unidentifiable in flavor because they are all pretty neutral and lack finesse. Bully Boy does similar small/old recipe batch in Boston and it's a whole different ballgame. This, right down to the packaging/labeling feels...Cheap?Now if I can just stop getting this stuff regifted to me every year.
Theodore Kruczek: Amazing explanations by the owner. Gold standard for what a distillery visit should be.
Sannie Culbertson: Andy was incredibly knowledgeable and very friendly. Plus, all the products were delicious! We would recommend to anybody.
Joel Cox: Very informative tour and the owners were super nice. Great tasting products, we left with a few bottles. Can't wait to see what comes next for them.
Erin Vaillancourt: Very informative and educational tour of a small start up whiskey distillery. The owner is a 5 year distiller that's self- taught and makes a decent Moonshine, single malt American-Whiskey, honey liquor and Gin. The education tour is about 30-45 minutes of an informative walk-through of the process and equipment on a molecular level. you get to do a small tasting at the end and you can buy the Whiskey if you so choose. He even offers mini whiskey barrel kits to age your own whiskey from the moonshine. (about 2 months)This small distillery is worth dropping in if you enjoy Whiskey and Gin. Batch 6 is good if he has any left, check it out!
Sean Lucier: Owners are very friendly and conversational. The tour is very informative. I have taken a few other tours of distilleries and this was by far the most informative. You also get to taste a wide variety their products through the tour and got a nice glass with the Groupon as well. A great deal. The spirits are all very high quality. I will be returning in the future. Also, if you like dogs, they have two very friendly dogs to enhance the visit.
Laurie G: Great tasting and tour. Worth stopping by if you are in the area.
Dan Carp: Andy & Cindy (owners) were incredibly welcoming. They offer a free tasting or a paid distillery tour for a nominal fee, which includes a snifter at the end. They offer about 7 different spirits including whiskeys, gins, and a honey krupnik. All were tasty, and we were happy to walk out with a few bottles to enjoy!

Live Free Distillery: what do users think?
Christian Morris: This place is amazing! The owner is so nice! He loves his craft and it shows. He's knowledgeable about his craft and hilarious! I especially love how there's a story behind the different flavors and even the labels! I felt so welcomed here and enjoyed learning about thw different spirits and what it takes to create them. The fact that he made the machinery he uses makes this even cooler. We came here for my husband's birthday and he was treated to an extra special surprise! The product is great, the company is cool, but the owner is the best! Definitely worth the visit! Not to mention, they also make this heavenly maple syrup and the best soy sauce I've ever tasted. Absolutely 100% recommend going to this distillery!
Carrigan Smith: You HAVE to give this place a try! Over a dozen incredibly well made products and the owner has a true passion for what he does. Come down and see this amazing NH gem.
Glenna Considine: The Mountain Top Vanilla vodka is amazing!!!!
Daniel Michel: Great lineup of spirits to taste, plus a very informative tour by the friendly owner.
Brandon McCann: Great visit and picked up some goodies
Laura Krebs: Great stop! The owner is incredibly nice and informative. There are so many different and unique spirit options. Delicious whiskey!!
C Taylor: If you are not going to open up your store because of a family event that is fine. However, update your hours on google so that people don’t drive over an hour to try your spirits and sit out waiting for you! Thanks!
Michael Murteira: Andre was very welcoming and had a variety of spirits to sample and purchase!
Rachel Melillo: Last time I was there, they only had a few products, but their Mountain Top Vodka was delicious and appropriately priced. Looking forward to more of their products!A year later, this place still has incredible product, and much more variety -- including aged products. Nice whiskeys, rums, and vodkas.
Kurt Hodges: My family and I visited this distillery for the 1st time today. We were impressed with selection and quality of the products. Andre was a great host. Hand crafted spirits at an affordable price made the day exceptional. I will be returning and recommend this distillery.
Alec Delaney: This place is absolutely incredible! The owner is so nice and loves to show people around the distillery. He was very passionate about explaining the liquors and eager to ask about me and what brought me. It's about 45 minutes from where I live and would happily come out here again to restock the Honey Flavored Whiskey! Very excited to swing by here on future ski trips!
Austin Fuchs (Aúsfarticus III): Can't beat a free spirit tasting. Andre has a magnetic personality. You can tell he loves his craft - and it shows. His Maple Bourbon and Apple Pie Shire Shine are on par with some higher end brands, and have earned a permanent spot in this granite stater's liquor cabinet. Will definitely be back to stock up.

Abel Lawrence Distillery: what do users think?
Brian Best: The Abel Lawrence Distillery existed here in the 18th century. This is just an historical reference. The original building does not exist, and there is no historical marker. Some of the local walking tours may reference this place as part of their tour. To tour a real distillery that actually exists in Salem, see Deacon Giles Distillery.
