I have struggled to find good instructors in the past, but she is exceptional. She explains everything in a very clear, informative way, and really helps you feel confident in the saddle. Highly recommend this place!

Zena Lum: Just had an amazing girls’ getaway this weekend at Martin Family Ranch. Hosts David and Jessica Martin were generous with their hospitality, warmth, culinary skills, and above all their knowledge of all things equine. While not completely novice, none of us in our party had ridden recently. Jess took time to match horse and rider, and we were afforded the opportunity to bond with our horses, learning how to groom, helping to saddle up, and spending time in the arena to refamiliarize ourselves with riding before hitting the trails. Charming overnight accommodations in the yurt, fabulous meals and campfire s’mores, plus a soak in the hot tub all added up to one fabulous weekend.

Max Lein: My wife, daughter and I had an unforgettable experience this weekend riding at Martin Family Ranch. Jessica and David were fantastic teachers and really fun to be around. They inspired confidence and were wonderful hosts. My family and I had never been around or ridden a horse independently before, and we all feel much more confident about riding horses and know so much more about them now. I cannot emphasize enough how much I learned this weekend while also having a really relaxing time. It's going to be hard to get me to shut up about this place.The property is beautiful and well kept, and we loved relaxing by the camp fire and eating incredible, home cooked food. The horses seemed very happy, had interesting personalities, were extremely well taken care of, and it was fun to learn how to brush them and get them ready for a ride. I really want to do this again!

We started the day with a wonderful BBQ lunch, followed by the horsemanship training, where you can tell they take such care and consideration in what they do to ensure guests have a great experience. Jessica, David and their family made us feel right at home when we arrived with a beautiful breakfast layout and explanation of the days activities. The team-building activities they planned were perfectly timed and SO much fun. My office team of 11 has not stopped talking about it since last week! Leading up to the day I did not think I would have enough confidence to get on a horse but Jessica built up my confidence as soon as I arrived and I had a lovely time connecting with the horse George (he was the best!) Margarita DiVall: A wonderful and unique experience! I took my 16 year old daughter to the ranch because she loves horses. Their website is fantastic - very informative and super easy to make your reservation. We stayed in close communication as we needed to change the date due to weather related conditions and they were very accommodating. Our visit started with fantastic lunch. The property is beautiful with overnight accommodations and various activities, such as ax throwing, hiking, and of course riding the horses. We learned how to prepare the horses for the ride by brushing and saddling them up. Jessica and David made sure we were safe at all times and felt comfortable on the horse before going out on the trail. The horses are absolutely beautiful and we loved learning about their "horsanalities". It's very clear that they are treated & loved as part of the family. I am certain the memories we made together this day will stay with me and my daughter for many years and I hope to come back soon!

David & Jessica are very friendly and full of experience, they have a very nice ranch, two lovely dogs, and kittens, you will find that every part of the ranch is a little surprise!

Kathleen Collins: Jessica and David have built a little bit of Western horse ranch heaven in NH. Their horses were all full of personality and a pleasure to ride. I brought a group of teenage girls for a 1/2 day experience and we are already looking forward to our next visit. The Martin family goes all out for their guests and make you feel as if you are long time friends. The lunch BBQ was delicious and cooked specifically for our dietary restrictions. Jessica can read her riders as well as she reads her horses and pairs up horse and rider perfectly. The afternoon was geared to each riders comfort level and experience. We will definitely be back!

Malgorzata Szyjka: Memorable!We have gone horse-riding before, but this was the first time we truly RODE a horse. David and Jessica have a very unique program going, with their group of personal horses. Rather than just hopping on a horse and going for a ride, we actually learned how to approach a horse, groom and saddle it, and get the horse to know its rider. Then comes a period of practice riding in a secure enclosure, where you walk the horse, mount it, get comfortable steering it left and right, and go around obstacles, before venturing out on a trail, first within the Martin Farm property, then outside. No better way to spend a sunny afternoon, with a rewarding experience! Highly recommended, with superb hosts.

They truly care for their animals and want you as the guest to love and understanding the animals as well. The food was excellent, the riding was great and the knowledge that I learned about horses was superb. I highly recommend the Martin Family Ranch.
