Janet Pesaturo: As co-trustees, my brother and I have been working with Attorney Lucy Budman at Curley Law Firm since our mother's death 10 months ago. We sought Lucy's help because she had written up our mother's Will and Trust years ago and we thought it would help to work with someone who was already familiar with the issues. We were right.To start with, the Will and Trust were drawn up in a way that seemed to anticipate and prevent every possible problem given the particular family dynamics. So while the Trustee role was no picnic, it could have been far, far worse.One important provision of the Trust was that it allowed Trustees to appoint an Independent Trustee, a neutral party to take care of a certain problem that had become especially challenging. Lucy recommended another attorney for that role, so we took her advice. As a result, we got through it as efficiently and painlessly as possible. Now here we are 10 months later, and essentially done. Honestly, I can't believe it. Yes, it was expensive, but in the long run these attorneys probably saved us money - perhaps a lot of money - and they most certainly saved us a lot of stress and time.Lucy is easy to talk to, listens well, and communicates effectively. And of course she is very knowledgeable. Response to emails and phone calls is usually within the same day, sometimes within minutes. There were a few delays around vacation time and illness but that is to be expected. Overall I am very pleased and highly recommend her.
