Upon the passing of my mother, I decided to sell her home (my childhood home). I was completely overwhelmed with figuring out where to begin. We will recommend them without hesitation to all our friends, neighbors and family -- especially to those who, like us, are more elderly than we care to admit and are frantically down-sizing to enter some type of retirement community. We are "transitioning" (as they say) from a three floor condo to a three room plus kitchen unit, and we needed some 80% of our "stuff" gone. Our sons didn't want it. Their wives didn't want it. Our neighbors didn't want it. But, amazingly, Jonathan and Tara and their super-competent team cleaned, staged, priced, publicized,and got what we consider to be essentially TOP DOLLAR for our items -- including my very heavy, very specialized workshop machinery and a lifetime's collection of tools. (And they pay a 60% return which is better than the industry average, we feel.) We can't overstate how calm, patient, prepared and thoughtful everyone at Blue Moon is. Our condo association had never before permitted an indoor estate sale (nor outdoor sales, except on extremely limited occasions) so the fact that they allowed Jonathan and Tara to do our sale speaks volumes about their ability to deliver on their promises, e.g., especially keeping traffic and shoppers organized and orderly. The entire team is extremely easy to work with, above-and-beyond helpful, and very respectful of both our possessions and our anxieties. I was really impressed with the way they treated everyone who came to the sale. If there were heavy items to be moved, they were more than willing and gracious to help. I have been to other estate sales where you have to move your own items. Not Hector and his team. They were awesome! Hector allowed elderly people to park in the driveway so that they didn't have to walk too far. My siblings and I were treated more like friends than clients.
