Curtis Knight: So often when you have interaction with people who are paid by a city or town their behavior and attention to detail can sometimes be lacking. Not the case with these 2 members of the Lowell city fire department. I am a real estate agent and in the course of selling a home in Massachusetts it is required that you schedule a smoke alarm inspection I had the pleasure of meeting Julio and William who were both exemplary and professional gentlemen who showed me every possible courtesy and actually helped me install an additional smoke alarm that was necessary before I could have the house officially certified safe. When this has happened in the past the fire department officials from other municipalities will sometimes become angry and they will leave and not give me a chance to install the smoke alarm on the spot. These were 2 very nice young men and I just wanted to let them know how grateful I am, that they not only serve and protect, but they also nurture and help the public. Good job guys and please keep up the good work :)
