Stevens Business Service, Inc.: what do users think?
Nicholas Garcia: They do not return calls
John Bowensmith: CALLS CONSTANTLY WITH NO PERSON OR COMPUTER ON THE OTHER END, WEBSITE IS USELESS AND DOES NOT LOAD. THEY FORCE PAYMENT THROUGH CHECK THIS WAY.
Sev S: Calls frequently and speaks to me in an intimidating tone about supposed money I owe? Probably a scam
Shauna Frenza: Harassing, intimidating, and creepy. Did not leave voicemail, and refused to mail proof of debt owed. Immediately became aggressive when I said I was not comfortable providing personal information, and then asked for *extremely* personal information, clearly in an attempt to bully me into continuing the conversation. While I was asking them to cease calling my phone number, he was talking over me, so I had to raise my voice to get my point across and then hang up.Edit: a year later they are responding to my review to make it seem they are cleaning up their act… and I still have never once received any communication by mail. If you believe I owe money, the burden of proof is on you and you must provide that proof in the legally required fashion (mail). Moreover, nothing excuses your employee’s (uncalled for) aggressive and nasty demeanor.
Sean Hibbard: These people try to get your personal information (and that of your children) WITHOUT TELLING YOU WHO THEY ARE. Be careful of these deceitful people.
You Nes: Bad and rude people.
Ben Brown: Seems like a scam, called and asked to collect debt that isnt owed
alan klemanchuck: Non-stop Harassing calls about a National Grid that i no longer have business with. This company is a scam.
Lainey Passero: Extremely friendly and helpful. I mean it’s a debt collection agency it’s not their fault we didn’t pay the bills! Lol! I found the rep I spoke with was helpful and kind. I asked plenty of questions to make sure my bill was proper and they provided me DOS and location of who was billing me. They did their jobs by assisting me with making a payment I owed. Great place of business doing what they are meant and trained to do, collect a debt.
Heather Petropoulos: If zero stars was only possible. Sent a $53 debt to collections on my credit report and I had just paid off all my debt. Now $53 should stay with me for 7 years. Really? This is how to treat people during a pandemic and while I am unemployed?
Joseph Stokes: Hit my credit report with a charge from national grid that I never owed.
Jim L: They tried to collect on a false "past due" invoice. Aggressive.Threatening. I provided them with written proof that I owed nothing. They tried to wreck my credit score.
Christopher Beaudet: Constant condescending letters from this organization about a debt National Grid didn't have the competence to give me a call about. Yet, Not a single one of these communications contained a statement indicating what services the debt is for. I put a request in on their website asking for a final bill or ledger from national grid. Instead, I received another letter about how "patient" they have been about this matter and again asking me to pay a balance with no indication of what it was for. Called them and they don't have a record of my request for a final bill. Incompetence. Do you vultures want your money or not? How can you send a demand for payment and not include details about why you are demanding payment?
becky y: claimed I owe money to national grid which i do not!!!! SCAM!
Gary Brooks: Very professional and friendly, never made us feel lowly because of our debt.
David Manalan: Called and discussed overdue payment from company. They took information, convinced company to pay (6 months late) and charged a reasonable 20%. I got my money within a month after no response from company for 6 months.
JOHELY C: they called me and i asked who was calling and they were very rude. after asking me for my address i wasn't sure who these people really are and i said i prefer not to share my address and the guy said "so why are you wasting my time if you don't want to tell me your address" witch the address he said for me was old. VERY unprofessional.
Kanesha Glenn: Set up a payment plan for an outstanding medical bill. First CSR did not enter the billing information correctly, which resulted in overpayment through automatic draft. Called back when I noticed the error. Second CSR informed me that the first CSR never even put in information that I had set up a payment plan and just billing information. She then corrected the mistake, said "It's fixed in the system.", and promptly hung up. No closing formalities or niceties. Oh well, they got their money.
Tony P: Keeps calling me for a bill that has already been settled. They do not know how to communicate with the original party that the bill was owed to in order to find out that it's been settled. That's what happens when you hire incompetent people.
ELIZABETH Raposo: They are asking you to verify to protect your information . They are there to help you handle your accounts as best possible. They are all such pleasant people .
WILLIAM MOREY: The place is legitimate. They are a collection agency for medical debt. Most of the time, it is an oversight for your insurance either not paying a claim - OR - you have not paid your deductible or copay amount(s). They can contact you between 8:00AM and 9:00PM Monday-Friday.Not a scam. Though I will say some of the debt collectors employed by ANY agency are not always the most pleasant to deal with - I personally worked for a collection agency for 15 years (including the parent company of this agency). The best thing to do is request a copy of the information pertaining to the debt and go from there. if your insurance didn't pay the claim, contact THEM and find out why before taking your aggravation out on the person who you may be dealing with. Most of the time the issue(s) will work themselves out.
