"If you are going to be bad it needs to be good".We had several well crafted cocktails and a great burger with the truffle fries.Service was attentive and friendly. The place was a little noisy and crowded but I certainly would go back.

Kayla Pelletier: We dropped out toddler off at grandmas ready for a peaceful dinner after just having our second son. Anyone that is a parent knows how hard it is to plan a date night. We’ve been to Bar One a few times - for the atmosphere and good food. But every time we go we seem to leave frustrated with the service and this time put us over the edge. So much so we honestly don’t want to go back. We sat down at 7:30 and knowing the service is always slow we went prepared with what we wanted and ordered meals the first time our waitress came over. Since we had our 2 week old with us, we knew we didn’t have time to waste before his next feeding. WE DID NOT GET OUR DINNER UNTIL 8:50!!! Our baby started crying, I left with him to get our car while my husband waited for the food just to put in a box to take home. We didn’t get any explanation more than a quick, “sorry.” The people next to us sat after us, got food and checked out before we even got our dinner. I know mistakes happen but it would have been nice to have an explanation or any sort of acknowledgement from the staff. We’re disappointed because we’re locals and enjoy the food but this left us with a bad taste in our mouth.

Chris Fappiano: Surprising gem in the restaurant crowd. Milford has a very good array of food choices, and you need something that's a cut above the norm to stake a claim there. Starting with the best Manhattan I've had in years, and a pretzel that was chewy, buttery and flavorful, unique nachos that allowed the individual flavors to show off, and decent homemade chips, we're off to an above average start. My friend got the chicken tenders, an obscene portion, tender and very flavorful. Her husband had the smash burger, which I wouldn't recommend if you prefer medium rare to rare beef. The steak sandwich was flavorful, but a little tough. Thinner slices would help, plus cooking it a little less.Drink and beer selections were terrific. Not your average cast of IPAs. We'll be back.

Laura Elcoate: Not a very comfortable place to dine, booths we're so close together that you had to push the table from one side to the other to get in or out of the booth. Very dark, quite noisy. Food only ok, very limited menu for a "gastro pub". Beer selection poor, only several beers on tap, generic selection (Bud Light) of bottled or canned. Overall a disappointing experience for my husband's birthday, especially as it had been recommended.

Poutine has flavorful brown gravy and fresh cheese curds and Bar One fries with truffle oil were tasty appetizers.Hot Honey Chicken sandwich had nice tender chicken with a crunch. Steak tacos were fresh and filling with a little bit of heat. Burger was flavorful with great beef flavor.Good variety of house drinks with unique combinations.Service was great, very attentive and accommodating.Atmosphere was nice and people watching was fun.Only one thing needed, cleaning. We got there when it opened and there was food crumbs under our table. If the floor isn’t clean when opening it does make you wonder what riser isn’t.Try Bar One and have a great time!
