Dmitry A. Bond: We came down from Maine to spend a day in Boston. We are blessed we found this Russian restaurant. I visited dozens of Russian restaurants in the USA but this one is one of the best. The food, the service and the atmosphere deserve 10 out of 10 stars! Very affordable prices! Highly recommended! Next time in Boston will definitely come again!Parking: Easy to Park

Greg Hartunian: Ordered chicken, lamb, and losh kebabs for 30 people. Meat was cooked perfectly. All of the sides were delicious as well. Very accomodating for a large order and I lots of questions and requests. Have also dined in as well and had a great experience. Love the losh kebabs.

Linda W: During a recent visit to Boston, I was missing the Armenian food I grew up eating, so we headed to Watertown for dinner. It was great! Our waiter Victor was friendly, attentive, and enthusiastic about the food. We ordered a Georgian flatbread (Khachapuri) to share as an appetizer and each choose a kebab entree. Delicious! My husband especially enjoyed his soojookh kebab, which is more spicy. And my husband and son tried some beer from the menu, which includes options from around the world. (FYI- the restaurant has a parking lot behind it off of Watertown Street, and some street parking on Galen Street)

Mark Diethelm: I had never had Armenian food before coming here. We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu, the food is delicious. We did feel ignored by the waitress however. It wasn't busy and they still never came back for another drink order or water refill or to even see how we are doing. We had to flag them down when we were done to get a box for leftovers and the bill. The food is amazing, perhaps just a bad night service wise. Regardless, I'll still go back, especially for the Khachapuri!

Leo Simon: The food was ok, not bad but nothing outstanding. The portions are small, intended to be so in order to try other dishes. While each dish was not overly expensive, the total was. But the worst was the “music”. Speakers every six feet along the ceiling. All we could hear was BOOM, BOOM, BOOM! Impossible to talk, even to the next seat neighbors. When we asked to turn the noise down we were told that it was not possible. Walked out of the restaurant with a headache. I gladly pay for good experience, but this one is not worth the money.

Sarah Wang: $1 oysters!! I was pleasantly surprised that they were having a deal on oysters when I went. They had 3 varieties, and they were all fresh and really great. Apart from that, everything was delicious!! I especially loved the fried eggplant and the cheesy bread with vegetables (name started with an M…), but I would pass next time on the octopus. Plates are meant to be shared, so everyone can try a bit of everything. Atmosphere was lively and felt almost swanky! Great dining experience albeit slightly overpriced— would come again!

Carrie Bevis: Ilona will be one of my new favorite destinations for a romantic date spot. The ambiance was upbeat and suave. The mezze and side dishes were delicious and filling. The Pikilia with dips were delicious and the waiter graciously brought us additional pita to finish up the dips. The roasted mushroom and roasted cauliflower dishes were also superb. I was impressed that two people could fill up on these three plates.I loved the wine recommendation I received. A charming Mediterranean restaurant in the South End that I’m sure will do great!
