Maria McCluskey: Came from out of town and being Greek wanted to eat in a Greek restaurant. I was a little disappointed with the food. The half chicken was so dry I could not hardly eat it. Husband had a gyro, which was okay but not the best. The waitress was fine but did not even know how to pronounce gyro. Best part was the retsina. I have to assume that it is more americanized than Greek. Sad.

Timothy Jenkins: Sometimes, mistakes are made, and that's ok. It's ok if an employee has a bad day and maybe isn't as friendly as many expect in this culture. I didn't experience anything like that here, but what I did experience on my last visit was far worse.When I stopped in to pick up a delivery order, the place was completely packed with people standing in about every possible square foot of space. There was a woman spewing right-wing conspiracies into a microphone as some in the crowd expressed their agreement. Clearly, some rally of the uninformed was occurring.How could a restaurant provide a platform for such dangerous rhetoric? How could they expect the team members to work under such verbally abusive conditions? You might have the best food I've ever had, but you can be sure I'll never care to find out.
Stephen Leung: (TAKE OUT) Got the gyro sandwich with a side of rice. Disappointed that the gyro was essentially 2 slices of meat, tzatziki sauce, and a pita. Didn't think the flavor was anything special. The menu lists tomatoes, onions, and parsley that were basically non-existent. The rice came with marinara sauce on top (not indicated on menu). The rice tasted good, but I'm not a fan on the marinara sauce on top. Overall meal was mediocre.
deraysa: Lunch for two plus tip came to $37. Did not like the red sauce on my rice pilaf, and the portion of overcooked lamb and sauce in the gyro was less than generous. The lemon soup was rather bland. Also, the ladies room was not all that clean. The atmosphere was tired and lackluster

Kiran Thomas: The first time I had the Grilled Gyro from Marko's was back in 2019 and I had the same from there again today, April 2022, this time it was tastier. I have got no words to describe it. Awesome food.

Ashar Saleem: It may not be as noticeable from the street as it should be, but Markos in Lowell is some of the best Mediterranean food I've ever had. The customer service is top notch and it has exactly the flavor profile that I was hoping for.The chicken is tender and cooked fresh. The yogurt and cucumber sauce and hot sauce go extremely well together.My wife and I usually share one order of their Monster Fries with chicken (spicy). It is more than enough for two people and the fries serve as a great bed for the chicken, tomatoes, onions and sauces.My only complaint would be, of the multiple times we've had, one time the fries were not as fresh as I would have liked. To be fair, it was about a half hour till they close.There are benches outside which you can eat on, or just eat in the car. There is parking available usually, but the traffic right outside is a pain sometimes.They have confirmed on Facebook and in person that the chicken is halal

trish peterson: I am a delivery driver for doordash and I LOVE when I have orders to pick up from Marko’s! Everyone there is beyond friendly, especially the woman in the front. She personally delivers everyone’s food right out to them in their car, no need to wait in long confusing lines. She’s always bright and cheery and puts me in a good mood whenever I see her.

Tom Bomb: Marko’s has the best gyro around. Get the “gyro platter” for some extra crispy Greek fries. Stop by for lunch during the week, or for their dinner hours on certain days. This food is delicious, and right in the heart of downtown Lowell!
James Metilinos: Go right now. The customer service is impeccable and the food matches. The Mediterranean loaded fries with marinated chicken and spicy sauce was fantastic. Portion was quite large and the staff will bring food to a table or car for you. The unfortunate reality is the traffic patterns make this place criminally difficult to get to. But I’ll walk a mile in the snow to go here if I have to. Keep up the phenomenal work.

Nae S: If you haven't been here - what are you waiting for??? My go to is the Gyro, add greens with light spicy sauce... The flavoring on the meat is amazing, the tzatziki sauce with light spicy sauce to die for. The tzatziki perfectly mellows out the heat but the spicy sauce adds so much flavor! The girl helping with orders is a sweetheart! If you are in the area you should def. check this place out - if you are far, it is worth the drive! Be ready to commit, it is so stuffed that once you start eating you cannot put it down, have extra napkins handy!
