Liuyishou Hotpot Boston: what do users think?
Damian Felchlin: Very good food. A bit pricy.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Eddie Moy: Felt like having hotpot when visiting Boston. Was already sick and tired of lobster. Haven’t had great lobster anywhere. We were surprised at how busy this place was and how many non Asian folks that were there enjoying this ethic cuisine. After we were seated, they have a QR code to scan and order your dishes. We were having issues ordering using the QR code and the staff came by and was very helpful in taking our order. This is all à la cart. We chose the pig stomach chicken white pepper broth. So good. Very much like the Dolar Shop. Everything was really good and fresh is all you can ask for hotpot. Although the premium fatty beef wasn’t fatty enough. It is more lean than fat. But it was still good. There is fruit at the sauce station. The prices are pretty high. Would recommend.

Mona Ma: Waited for more than an hour 7pm on Saturday and got a plate of beef for free! Great as always, about $56 per person for dinner. The Beef & Chinese Sauerkraut Fried Rice(酸菜肥牛炒饭) is so good!
Steve Garza: I've heard alot about this place, so I went in to try it out and here is my thoughts. I was new to this. A waiter told me I had to scan a bar code which was cool I had no problem in that. As i pulled up the menu I was having a hard time how it worked,I wish the waiters would ask me before this if this was my first time there . I was hoping someone would help me out about the menu. After 15 minutes went by I decided to order my food. The flavor was good no doubt in my mind, very flavorful, spicy which I loved. In some sense I was disappointed because as I was eating, a couple came in an sat next to me, the waiter pulled out a paper menu. That really threw me off. Instead of scanning the menu they could've just handed me the paper menu.Over all great place, food is good but just need to work with people who are there for the first time.
Whittney P: I enjoyed having hot pot here!!!The spicy broth is yummy but deffinitly 🔥 which they informed us about before ordering. The mushroom base was great too! The chicken and coconut was yummy as well. All the meats and veggies were fresh and the scallion pancakes were great. The wait was long and you cannot reserve a spot without six people, we only had five. When they texted us to be ready about our wait , then we showed up our table was still not ready yet and we had to wait more. BUT overall the food was wonderful and worth it. I'd go back again!FYI, they don't serve alcohol.
Val Lor-Rosholt: Normally, we would go to Hot Pot buffet or Kazu, but they were closed until later in the day. So we Google to see which hot pot restaurant was open and found Luiyishou. I remembered that it used to be a McDonald and is now nicely renovated to be a hot pot restaurant. Everything is a la cart. They have the best tasting soup of all the hot pot restaurants that I have been to! They also have a $3 sauce station, which include some appetizers (chicken feet), edamame, fruits and dessert 🍨 all party members have to agree to get it (1 and all or non at all).
Marshallfv: Good food, good service, and good restaurant. The only downside was a little expensive for us.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Super Meat Platter, Liuyishou Hot Pot, Soup, Soup Base …More

Abhishek Manjunath: The restaurant offers a variety of hot pot options, as well as other Chinese dishes. You can choose from a variety of meats, seafood, and vegetables to cook in the hot pot, and there are also a variety of dipping sauces to choose from a dedicated sauce station. We went with the spicy vegetarian and the tomato broth.Overall, it is great place to enjoy a delicious and authentic Chinese hot pot experience. The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. I would definitely recommend Liuyishou Hotpot Boston to anyone looking for a good hot pot experience. Be prepared for a decent wait though as they don't take reservations nor do they offer waitlists.Vegetarian options: There is quite a vegetarian spread available and some of their broths are also completely veg.
Will Becker: Even though there was a bit of a wait for a table, highly worth it! Everything was delicious and you can put together your order while you wait!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Wong Jace: Probably the best hotpot in Boston. But be ready to wait - normally long queue
Nunya Bizness: Went for lunch. Got a table. Got ignored for 15 mins. Finally left and went elsewhere.Service: 1/5 …More
Renee B: The broths were ok. This might be deliberate to encourage you to enhance to your specific taste. The peppery broth is extremely peppery, had the people at my table sweating bullets and turning colors. That said, one person in our group actually said it could have been more peppery. They have a station with seasonings, spices, fruits, pickled vegetables and even chicken feet for you to put in little bowls and take back to your table. The variety is nice but the station gets crowded, sometimes has a line.
Sandra: This place is authentic so do not underestimate the heat of the Szechuan broth. They had so many options at the sauce station which was fun. Definitely an experience!Recommended dishes Sauce Buffet, Liuyishou Hot Pot …More
julieris payero nuñez: First time trying hot pot, I was not sure if I’d like it since I don’t usually like boiled meat and I’m picky with vegetables, BUT this was so GOODDD!!😩👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Great for a cold day in Boston! The meat was thin, so it cooked fast, the broth by itself was enough seasoning for me, but there was also an unlimited sauce bar!!!! (They also had ice cream next to it)
Cass: The food was absolutely fantastic. The problem is the staff. My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant today and the price came out at a total of $79.01 not including tip. With 20% tip, the total is $94.82. Since my boyfriend only had cash, he paid $47 in cash and I paid the rest in cards. On the cards though, he charged me $56.41, which is $9.41 extra from the total including tip. I told him that he charged us extra before he took the money and he tried to argue his way out of it. He charged the meal a total of $104.23 which is around 24.2% of tip. I told him again that he's charging me extra, and asked if he could just give us some cash back instead and argued how it would only be 21% tip instead of 20% difference. It's clearly not. Regardless, the tip % isn't the problem here. It's because we've already tipped 20% which is pretty high, but he then tried to argue his way into getting more money while raising his voice at me. The dinning experience was beautiful until that part and now I came home in frustration. I picked the 20% on the tablet too, meaning that he totally charged us extra and I don't know whether he took the cash amount for himself or not.Parking: Street parking available, but since it's in Chinatown you usually won't find a spot. There are, however, parking lots around, costing $20+.
