Hot Pot Buffet: what do users think?
Grace: Such a great place to go eat!! Huge restaurant 3 floors.Staff is on there game waiting to serveAt the end they give you fresh oranges 😊Thank you allRecommended dishes Dipping Sauces, Bok Choy, House Special Soup, Hot Pot Spicy Base, Soup, Tofu Noodles, All You Can Eat Hotpot …More

Shawn Jin: Long time staple of the neighborhood. Solid value. However actual flavors and authenticity are not as impressive
H D: My favorite hotpot place. Love the sauce. My go to broth is the house special.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Sauce, House Special, All You Can Eat Hotpot …More
Petrushka Escalante: Absolutely delicious and highly recommended . We’ve never thought to eat on a place that have hot soup, but the experience was amazing especially for a cold Bostonian night! Broth was delicious, and we ordered the meats/veggies we like the most and we couldn’t stop eating until it was gone. we will come back next time when we come back to Boston!
Ngoc Lieu: I have been coming to this hot pot place for the past 2 years on my way home from work. It’s pretty much standard hot pot where you pick the broth and order from a list. This is an AYCE hot pot place. If you are new and can’t handle spiciness, just sick with House Special broth. They have a wide selection of meats, seafood, and veggies to choose from. The servers are nice and the service is prompt. The facility is decent.
Lori Blackstone: Very loud table next to our group. They couldn't split checks.Food: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 2/5Recommended dishes All You Can Eat Hotpot …More
Kevin Tran: My favorite spot to eat buffet hot potUpdated after 4 yearsI went to this place once a month or so, but once the waitress had the audacity to stop us to ask for 20% tip minimum after a terrible service, but she couldn't even do math, over $24 of tips for party of 3 with a terrible service, and their clams always full of mud, lot of times we get diarrhea after eating here at least 1 out of every 3 times, so we stop going here. I always tip 20% but with terrible service n stopped us to forced 20% is really something, won't ever come back again.
Colt Roth: I have never been so confused. More guidance from the staff or better instructions on what to do, how to order, how long to leave each food in the pot, etc. would have all made the experience more enjoyable. It also very pricey for the amount. Maybe if you aren’t amateur it is better.

Marie Gong: I loved this restaurant 😍Recommended dishes All You Can Eat Hotpot …More
Jimmy: This place is the best in Boston. Can’t beat the price. ALL YOU CAN EAT. Everything on the menu is good. Only bad thing is the shrimps are bad quality. I can tell they’re old. Also the beef tongue (back) is bad quality. Every other hot pot place I go to I spend at least $150 for 2 people and I leave feeling hungry. It’s absurd.
Stefanus Saputra: Enjoying all you can eat with friends hereRecommended dishes Hot Pot Spicy Base, All You Can Eat Hotpot …More
Chhoeung Sann: The broth didn't have much flavor but the amount of food you could was awesome. The service wasn't great. They demanded a tip when we gave money for the check the tip was already included when we paid the bill. But they came back to demand a bigger tip. We told them we gave more than 15% but they said it wasn't enough.Food: 3/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 3/5Recommended dishes All You Can Eat Hotpot …More
Vanessa Smith: Literally obsessed with this place. By far best hotpot in Boston in terms of pricing, meat options, and service. All you can eat is $32 but will probably come out to around $40 a person. Seems expensive but easily a better deal compared to other popular hotpot places that charge $30 for one type of meat alone. Great options for vegetarians, i really recommend the spicy broth, it's amazing. I've been here almost every week and have been taking all my friends. Don't go anywhere else but here, they have it all trust me I've tried a lot of hotpot
Wahyu Hidayat: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5More
Kristina Lowe: Great place, cheap eats, friendly and funny staff. I liked it here. 4 stars only because of the interior, it's a bit outdated. But other than that - just great!
pedro vera: Good experience with hot pot soup. Thank you. From East Los Angeles to Boston part 2Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5Recommended dishes Soup, Chinese Pot, Noodles Quail Egg Sausage, Hot Pot Spicy Base, House Special, Seafood, Dipping Sauces …More
Nanice Tuff: We found hair in our food twice. We ordered one round and the total was 72.78. The selection of food was pretty small for the price. The waiters weren’t friendly they would come up to our table reach over to fill our water without saying a word then stand in the corner watching everyone. It was honestly pretty weird. They never responded when we said thank you etc. the food was good but it wasn’t hygienic which is funny bc on the door it said the place was Health inspected and passed. Absolutely disgusting. Avoid this place
Ba Sar: They have great value for money. We got two lobsters for 18 usd each. The all you can eat buffet was also really good. The only bad thing were the toilets which were really dirty and dit not fit to the quality of the food and the restaurants.

Gloria Ha: I hadn't been to Happy Lamb in over 3 years (I did love their lunch special) but I was inspired to go since they offered free AYCE on your birthday (or the day before or after, with purchase of another AYCE). It seemed like a low-stakes way to try out the AYCE I've been seeing advertised online. I'm so glad I went. I had a wonderful experience and Happy Lamb is now my go-to for hotpot in the area.Currently the promotional price for AYCE is $27.99 on weekdays and $31.99 on weekends including Fridays. It looks like their normal price is $35.99 -- not sure when they'll return to that. In any case, unlimited meat and seafood at $27.99 is amazing for this area. And the quality is amazing! We arrived around 6:30pm on a Wednesday and were lucky to get seated -- there were people who arrived soon after that were waiting for a looong time. The restaurant was packed.I was surprised to see how the restaurant has completely changed to AYCE only -- it was such a good move. They manage to fit a huge variety of seafoods, vegetables, and noodles/tofus in a small amount of space, very efficiently. It's compact and designed smartly to keep the ingredients in their best state (eg having some things in individual plates).Everything was very fresh and tasty. I especially loved the shrimp paste -- it's airy and light and makes for delicious and fluffy pieces of shrimp goodness. The fish fillet (probably swai) is delicious and the marinated fish fillet had a nice coating that kept it more tender after cooking. Those were definitely my favorites in the seafood section. The thinly sliced meats (you order these separately) were amazing!! It made me think that thinly sliced meats are a win-win for the customer and the restaurant. The restaurant can give you less meat by cutting it thinner but it will taste better because it will melt in your mouth more. Both the fatty beef and the thinly-sliced pork were amazing -- just 10 seconds in the boiling broth to make it a melt-in-your-mouth bite. The marinated beefs are thicker and tougher with some weird parts -- I would not get this again when there are so many better seafood and meat options. They had all the different types of tofu skin and tofu -- love the wrinkly tofu skin and the porous tofu. The bok choy was very fresh and clean. The drinks are a bit sweet but you can always dilute them with water. Of course the broths are amazing as always. The spicy is not as oily as I remember and it's so good! I love the garlic in the broths too -- they end up getting nice and tender.Happy Lamb literally has everything I've ever wanted in a hotpot place (shrimp paste, fish fillet, fatty beef, delicious broth, tofu skin) and it's unlimited! I was very happy. This was a big improvement from the previous version of Happy Lamb (where I never ordered a la carte because I saw the $$ going up). You can definitely eat enough here to be done with hotpot for a few months (or until your next birthday...). I'll definitely be back! I would definitely choose it over Spring Shabu Shabu -- location-wise much more convenient, probably can avoid crazy waits, and unlimited meat and seafood.
Michael Metz: A good selection of items for the hotpot are available at the buffet. I also appreciate that they include some basic fried rice and spring rolls to have alongside the hotpot if you want. I also love the music they play here, though that of course will be a matter of personal preference. Overall both my visits here have been pleasant, I'm sure I'll be back again in the future.

Kevin Wang: Summary of my experience1. Soup base was very salty.2. Sauces were also very salty.3. 1.5h time limit - This is the first time I could not finish my meal at a AYCE place within 1.5h4. They ask you to basically self serve everything.. side items fine, but even napkins and water5. There’s a line to get side items.6. The meat that they do serve comes very slow, so we were constantly waiting. We didn’t finish eating.I gave a lower tip that’s not 18%. First of all, I was not happy. Second of all, was there even service?I think I should have not tipped because I got “lectured” by one of the waitresses and questioned about my tip. And I was stared out.

Happy Lamb Hot Pot, Boston: what do users think?
Chantel Blanchette: Servers were super helpful at explaining how the hotpot worked. We loaded up on mushrooms, bok choy and the lamb bones and were more than satisfied with the experience and flavours.
phaewilai khongchatee: Good hot pot
Marely M: This place is amazingly delicious.First able, I really liked that their portions were just perfect, not too much and not too little. All the food was fresh and had a beautiful presentation. The service was quick and friendly. We did waited a little after being sat down for the waiter to come and take our order. The place was clean and have good ambiance. It’s spacey enough for groups or solo dinners.I enjoyed this location more than the Cambridge location. We went on a Thursday and it was pretty full at night. I only wished they closed later specially for being on a city with a lot students looking where to eat good warm broth and late.
Howard Moore: Welcome oasis for those with a formidable spice tolerance & there are less spicy broths available for those with a sensitive palate . Very clean & efficient service
wida wahyuni: Perfect place to enjoy hot pot with affordable price and good quality of food. We ordered half-half for the soup, so we have both spicy and non spicy option. They alao have great selection for dipping sauce bar.
Duan Yutong: Happy lamb didn't use to be this good. The meat quality has always been great, but the broth and sauce sucked, and waiters liked preaching their way of sauce-free hot pot which surely was part of their training and considered as a selling point. It was pretty annoying and ridiculous. However happy lamb has gotten so much better over the years, responding very well to new competitions pushing the local hot pot scene to a new level. With the addition of new broth options and a self-serve sauce bar with fruits, it is now a feature-complete shop. The AYCE is unbeatable bang for your bucks.

Brandon Carbaugh: Hands down the best hotpot I've ever had and it's not even close. Prices were solid (our meal came out to about $50/person and we had A LOT of food). The broth is outstanding.
Rachel Wallace: We were visiting the Boston area for the weekend and dying to eat some authentic hotpot. It was crowded and a Friday night, but we put our names in and were seated within a half hour or so. The meat selection was extensive, we ordered that thin sliced American beef and it came out on a beautiful platter, one order was the perfect size for our party of four. The menu was easy to understand and even had recommendations for the best variety of dishes. The atmosphere was great, super quick service and they even had cubbies below the booths to put your belongings. The only thing I'd say is there needs to be a tissue box at every table because that spicy broth really got to us. Overall excellent service, great food, and a perfect start to our weekend in Boston.

jie wang: 2rd will be very very very very slow. No one will answer you and server you make sure you order before you finish your first order
Sanjana Shetty: This place can be slightly crowded between 7-9 PM. We arrived at 8:15 PM and had to wait about 20 mins to be seated. But, once you get seated it was all good from there. We got the sweet and sour broth and the Spicy broth. The sweet and sour broth was actually so so good. There was a lot of flavor (mostly ginger). We ate for 2 whole hours. The sauce station is pretty good too, eventhough they don’t recommend it ( I would recommend it)Overal, I would go here again
Aaron Li: Great hot pot with decent quality meat. I love and hate the sauce bar cause I always eat too much sauce lol.

Semih Sarac: BEST!! We tried almost all of the Hot Pot places in MA but this is the BEST!! They have great customer service and they always try their best to take care of us. Positive vibes!!! We usually get “Best of Both Worlds” it comes with original and spicy broth and their spicy broth is so delicious and “extra” spicy. We tried almost everything that they have and we are fully satisfied customer.

debbie reid: Saw an influencer on YouTube reviewed this place, and I wanted to try it. I drove over an hour to find the one closet to where I live. The ambiance is nice, the service was very good. Our waitress did absolutely well helping us with the food. This was my first time in a fondue type of restaurant, so of course we asked alot if question. The meal started out with a cheese fondue where you dip veggies or bread in the cheese. Then you select your salad, then the main entree, then your desert. Then you are given several styles to prepare your entree, and we choose oil and grill. The grill was great, but the oil was not so good. The oil style was pretty much frying. We had to switch to the grill. The food was very oily. But other than that, it was quite an experience. The prices are not so bad either. The portions are filling, but the highlight of the night was the fondue. The cheese sauce in the beginning and the chocolate at the end. That chocolate over the fruits and cake bites was so good.
jennifer field: We had such an amazing time, Melissa R was our server and she was AMAZING !!!The food was great, it was fun and Melissa gave amazing instruction and was super funny!!We drove from Weatern Ma and it was worth the 1.5 hour drive..Thank you,We will be backJennifer, John, Tricia & Jason !!

Alicia Bolyard: Typically I wouldn’t post about one bad experience because my meal, server, night is just a small sliver of what they have to offer. However, I have gone numerous times and my experience has been worse each time. This time I’m certain I have had better table service at McDonald’s. Our Server who said she had been there for a year was not attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, never available, and seemed awkward and forgetful. We were never offered refills on our drinks despite being there for two hours and asking her for a refill. She made a large mess on our table while awkwardly making cheese and making horrible scratches with the fork on the metal bowl. We sat with our dirty dishes around us, she never took our menus off our tiny table. We asked the server if there was a list of salad dressings, she told me no but could tell them to me. I asked if she still offered the white balsamic and she told me no, only to hear the table behind me being offered it later on. My husband got me a rose and balloon for my birthday but I was never acknowledged. My single flower is wilted and the balloons do not float not even 24 hours later for $20. The last time we were there celebrating we were offered a photo and were checked on by someone in charge. We sat after we were completely finished our meal with dishes stacked up and ready for her to take for over 30 minutes before she came back for the first time after dropping the meal off. I was really hoping to have a little more sauce but she was very absent. We were not given forks for our cheesecake and when we asked a passing coworker they told us they would tell our server who never came until she popped up with the check. I was disappointed in our service and the food was subpar, consequently I have been vomiting ever since I got home.
Chelsea C: I really wasn't going to write this review, but I feel obligated to. I went to the melting pot with 5 of my friends, so as you could imagine, the check was heafty. Our server from the jump seemed nervous, but we understood, 6 people talking about cheese is a lot. Whatever, we didn't think twice about it. As the night progressed, she seemed more and more off-put with our table for whatever reason. To be fair, there were a couple of instances with unclean plate/fondue sticks but nothing crazy. At the end of the night, the waitress brought out a cute little cake w/ a candle as it was my 30th birthday. It was dropped completely by accident at no fault to the waitress. A big one, and the first one since my father passed away- someone that I had gone to the melting pot with before. At almost the end of the night, the Manger approached our table stating our server was crying and no longer wanted to serve us due to us being rude and she was beyond upset. She also alerted us to the fact that a comment that was made while walking by the bar was taken completely out of context and then later held against us. We were not only ostracized at the end of the night, we were also receiving dirty looks from everyone in the restaurant (staff.) Not only was my entire party completely flabbergasted by this whole experience, I was personally distraught. I picked the melting pot as it had good memories attached to it from my father and you people ruined it.Thank you for making my birthday something I will be sure to never forget.I'd also like to add- the server was great and when the night came to an end we were SHOCKED at what happened. There was not a single person at my table that didn't feel completely offended.
frimjolly: The service was very good and the restaurant was very clean.I would recommend sticking with the fondue. Meats are simply not meant to cook in hot oil and the quality was ok except the Tuna which was pretty bad.I was disappointed with the amount of cheese fondue dip. The restaurant had the feel of a chain - high prices, lower quality of the meat; laminated menus and formulaic.I wish that there were other fondue options in the area.
