Dr. Lawrence P. Johnson, MD: what do users think?
Patricia: I have been seeing Dr. Johnson for years as I have arthritis scoliosis. He is a let’s get you healthy , do what it takes to help you live without pain. He just recently performed a total hip replacement for me. I was able to walk, and stairs within a few days. The care and concern Dr. Johnson provides is with total patient concern and wellness.. I would recommend him to anyone of my family member. Can’t thank him enough as I am 58 and love being active and doing fun things with my grandchildren instead of sitting on the side.
Wendy Wilkins: Dr Johnson replaced my aunt's hip. The surgery was perfect. Great surgeon great office demeanor as well
Nick: Arrogant, and doesn't seem to care about anyone that actually comes in. Spent maybe 5 minutes with me the first appointment and it was less each time. Fell off a roof, so I had injuries to my left radial head (elbow), my right wrist, right ankle, right thigh. They stressed many times about ONLY one body part so I've been trying to focus on my arm (he got annoyed when he found out I had other issues). He not once told me what I really should be doing. I was told it would take 3 weeks to heal, then he said it seems a little displaced so maybe longer, and then on the third appointment he just flat out said he doesn't know. Which would be fine, but he couldn't answer literally anything while being super arrogant.I asked when I could do pushups, his answer was to "try one, if it hurts, don't do it and try again later". Oo wow, thanks! Must have taken 12 years of schooling to figure that one out. No information on home care, no information about PT, no information about how long to stay off it or healing, etc.Overall do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. This guy might have been a good doctor when he was younger, but he's old and extremely arrogant now. Also, I was refused on the first appointment because I forgot my wallet. If you even decide to read these, that's illegal in MA.
liliane Silva: Worse doctor ever and his stuff made fun of my pain! I went though hell on they hands.
Susan Martin Tebbetts: I have been seeing Dr.Johnson since I was 16. For a chronic knee problem. He is professional, knowledgeable
Ronald Couming: "I have been seeing Dr. Johnson for years, after a car accident, with recurring issues, he has always been honest and straight forward about my issues and option, and has addressed and or referred me out to get things taken care of, Highly Recommend,"
Janice Grace: Dr. Johnson is an outstanding surgeon. I have had multiple hip surgeries. All my surgeries have been highly successful and I had an easy recovery. When you are in pain and feeling desperate you want a surgeon that you can trust. You want to know that you will be taken care of.Dr. Johnson is that professional. He is competent and will fix the problem. I have been going to him for care for 24 years. I have had very serious issues with good outcomes. That is what most people want. Continuity of care.
Susan Bailey: Had the same kind of feeling when I went that he did not like overweight people. Barely said anything to me and his staff was not pleasant either. You're in the wrong business if you can't tolerate people who aren't in tip top physical shape. If we all were, you wouldn't have a job!!!
Mariana C: Had ankle surgery with Doctor Johnson about 2 months ago.I have great feedback to give about my experience as a patient. He was very informative about the whole process and gave me confidence towards my treatment. The office staff was also very helpful and was very prompt to help me with paperwork for my job. I will definitely recommend Doctor Johnson. Great Doctor.
Dorothea Sullivan: Dr. Johnson is great! He spends ample time with you going over any ailments and any questions you have! I have seen him a few times for low back pain and most recently hip pain. Both times I required a shot in the areas paining me. Years ago he operated on my Mother's broken hips! The first one required a rod and screws. She was about 75 at the time. He had her up and back to walking with his expertise! A number of years later she broke the other hip, she was about 80 then. Not as bad as the first break! Once again Mom was back walking and doing all her normal things! I highly recommend Dr. Johnson!
scott macneill: Dr.Johnson is top notch! Always professional & takes his time with patience to insure they are satisfied with their visit. Always greets other gets guests in the room also. Been seeing him for over 10+ years never had a problem. Would recommend to anyone with spinal/ knee injury’s.
Libby Hugetz: I saw Dr. Johnson after a fall in which I sprained my left foot. He spent less than five minutes with me during the first visit. He told me to wear a boot. He didn't say how long or what else I should do to help it heal. I wasn't clear he even looked at my X-rays. When I was still in pain after six weeks, I went back for a follow up. He was in the room for less than 2 minutes this time. He answered none of my questions. When he squeezed on part of my foot, I told him it hurt. He shrugged his shoulders, and told me to keep doing what I was doing as he walked towards the door. I think he could tell me that I was bit taken aback by his brevity so he added "we are here for you." Quite frankly, there might be nothing else that could be done to help heal my foot. Nevertheless, his lack of care left me with more questions than answers. I wouldn't recommend this doctor to anyone. He's definitely in the wrong business, and no one deserves the subpar treatment he delivers.
rican: Seen him for back issues that is still an on going issue for 4 years now. He told me 2 weeks after physical therapy that he does surgeries only and since i dont need a surgery he doesnt need to see me anymore. I refused to goto any LGH Doctor, i will go out of my network before seeing a LGH Doctor.
Sunny Sherring: I had very bad experience with this dr.He gave me injection in my spine in his office. During injection he was making fun of me when I was getting injection. He also made comments about me That I am fat.He was taking to his assistant not knowing that I didn't left the office. I can hear him. Please find Good Dr some where else who cares about you.Worse Dr in medicine.
Carmen Alexander: He has been supportive and very caring he is a great doctor and recomend to everyone
Steven Salowsky: Dr. Johnson always assured myself that when the time came I would tell him that I am ready for a knee replacement. Dr. Johnson's health care advice along with his staff surrounding him have been one hundred percent supportive since my surgery at the 1st of November to date. They have been right on, and for my quality of life, I am deeply indebted to their care.
