Rosemary Russell: Carroll Lawn Care provided tree branch trimming at my Mom's who is a senior citizen (90+). Their team worked well with my Mom and went above and beyond trimming additional trees that were not in the estimate, but barely charged more than what was estimated. Good, genuine people I'd say. My Mom really likes them. We've hired them now for snow removal for the winter. Highly recommend.

Keith & Tricia: Russell Landscaping did an amazing job fixing the error of a prior landscaping company. My goal was to make a playset area for my child. The original company did not complete the job to fit the 20ft x 16ft playset and refused to work with me to rectify the situation. Russell Landscaping came right out to see what was done and then asked what my end vision of the area was. After listening to me, answering my questions, and looking at the playset that was eventually going to be installed - the project was a go! Mathieu Gagne: I have a tricky, old lawn that has deteriorated inexplicably over the last few years. I am a bit of a lawn junky and am a bit lucky that I can do my own lawn and landscaping using 8 summers of knowledge working in a greenhouse and nursery in my youth! I tried many approaches to "renew" my old lawn and bare spots but could not get my lawn to turn the corner. After receiving great service from a mulch delivery, Velvet Green sent me a customized email about their other services and I was intrigued by the aeration, over seeding, and top dressing service, an approach I prefer and have had some luck with, but not enough. So I decided to give Jeff and his team a shot. I had moderate expectations (I can be hard to please on yard services). I don't know how else to put it - the results were outstanding! My lawn took off last fall and is primed this spring to surpass my expectations again. I even asked Jeff at the time to leave a large, beautiful section of my lawn untouched that was sodded about two years ago as a control and now I'm bummed I did not have him do the whole thing. Professional, knowledgable (I am now on their lawn care program too), and up to date with technology and equipment, I can't say enough about them. Highly recommended.Services:Grass seeding,Mulching
Frank: Excellent customer service and great results! Great alternative to chemicals if you care about our environment, or have children or pets that play on your lawn. Bear in mind, though, that since lawn treatments here are all organic, depending on what you are up against it may take a season or two to really see positive impact. I thought I was going to have nice yard to enjoy this summer seeing we had this job scheduled in May. It is not even done to our satisfaction but at this point, I gave up trying. I just needed to complete what we can’t do and be done. A neighbor had their yard redone and it was completed within two weeks and full grass already. Mine looks the same as when we started. A previous landscaper pulled out my clematis and damaged other plants while mulching so I really appreciate the careful attention I get now. Another wonderful example is that in three years they have always ensured my gates are securely latched when they are done. If you have dogs or young children you know how priceless that consideration is. Nicole Lessard: Next door neighbor hired Marty's do to spring clean up. Crew piled up debris along the adjoining back yard property line and blew a bunch of leaves onto our property. I raked up their mess and pushed the leaves back toward the property line and called to have them come clean it up. When they came back they blew all of the leaves further onto our property under some trees. I went back out to ask not to put leaves from the neighbors yard on our property and I was yelled at and told that they didn't have to clean up anything and I should just say thank you. Disgraceful. Do not hire these people if you want to stay friendly with your neighbors.

Catherine Varmazis: Marty's has been doing my lawn, snow removal and fall cleanups for years. Last year I had them do some major work on my garage. They replaced a rotted foundation sill and the cedar shingles on the entire back wall of the garage. I was very satisfied with their work under the supervision of the very competent crew leader, Roberto.This year I had them paint my house, which has cedar shingles and the original mullioned windows. I specified that the glazing in some of the windows needed to be replaced. I was very impressed with the prep work they did, in particular the meticulous sanding and priming. They also replaced some rotted trim and unstuck windows that had been painted shut in previous paint jobs. Their paint job turned out outstanding, and several passersby have complimented the new look. In the process of cleaning the windows after painting, they cracked one of the panes, which they replaced.I also had Marty's move a retaining wall a couple of feet back and replace my asphalt patio with an Ideal concrete paver patio. As part of this job, Marty recommended installing an underground drain, which I did. The patio turned out beautiful. My only heads-up to anyone thinking of doing something similar is that I was surprised by how much of the lawn was smashed in the process, because of all the heavy equipment that was driven over it. They hydroseeded all of the area that had been torn up, but I was not expecting that much lawn to be affected. That's just a heads-up. I don't regret the work, since the patio turned out lovely. It transformed my garden and was worth it.I highly recommend Marty's. They respect the customer.

So the yard was cleared of leaves.Most of the smallsticks on the lawn were blown but the sticks between trees n bushes we left uncleaned. Part of the dethached lawn was not picked up. On questioning the cleanup the answer was that's only cleaning sticks on the lawn is included rest isn't.So I think it was decent work but has room for improvement.
Ed Hill: I've had 2 opportunities to see Marty Landscaping in action and both times the quality of their hydro seed application was extremely poor. You could predict where the grass would be bare or even barren by how inconsistent the hydro see application was spread.
Michael Perry: They charged us an extra $100 to take up landscape cloth & left saying they were finished. When we started planting most of the cloth was just hidden under the mulch! Marty's excuse was that they couldn't get it all! Most of it would have been acceptable! Very poor business practice! I guess there is a reason they are rated 3 stars! My suggestion is to use someone else or do it yourself, which we are having to do!

I called and they came out and was told it would take a couple days to clean up the weeds but they were wrong. The weeds spread more and more now. I call them again and was told a tech will be out this week. I hope this visit will kill the weeds or else am looking for another place to go.

Tianyu Ye: I used Trugreen for one season several years ago. But the quality was really bad, it was even worse than I do it by myself. So I stopped using them and do it myself since then.But the worst part of this company is their telemarketing people who calls year over year to ask me back to Truegreen. They are super unprofessional and represent Trugreen in a really bad way.Sometimes, once they heard that I will not use them, they just hang up the phone immediately. Sometimes they argued that they do it better. There was one time one of their agent even laughed at my lawn and say it was ugly, with knowing that their team did a even worse job years before.Base on my experience with Trugreen, I do not think this company really care or respect their customers. They just want your money without caring the quality of their work. Natalie Page: As a landscape industry professional, I can without any doubt say that TruGreen is one of the most unprofessional, ill equipped, understaffed, and incompetent lawn care "specialists" if you can even call them that, that I have ever had to deal with. Their communication is all but non-existent, they can never seem to honor their schedules, which makes managing expectations with clients impossible, leading to so much unnecessary frustration on both ends. The quality of work they provide is sub-par at best, the employees they have currently staffed are uneducated and exhibit minimal effort or care when it comes to the lawn care services they are paid to provide. Lawns are consistently left with patches, burnt, and are overall further damaged after applications. The most concerning aspect of all however is the lack of accountability for the poor quality of work they continue to provide. Any time there is a client complaint forwarded to their company rep, we are continuously met with excuse after excuse, and the issue is rarely remedied to the clients contentment. Dina Delpit: If I could give this company ZERO stars I definitely would. TERRIBLE company to hire & even worst company to work for. Over works their employees with unrealistic expectations. They will work you like a dog , micromanage you, set you up for failure and doesn’t want you to stop for breaks. Every Customer’s house I went to had so many complaints about Trurgreen more than half of them canceled service. They will stick a kindergartner on your lawn if it means meeting their quota.
