Accurate Marine Surveyors, LLC.: what do users think?
Igor Zgodic: Chris was a big help coming to survey a potential boat I was looking at with just a few days notice. He was extremely professional and accommodating, wrote up the report in record time, and provided me with insightful information for my purchase. Would recommend to anyone who needs a surveyor!
Mike DePascale: Christian was FANTASTIC! This was my first boat purchase and he was responsive, fair, reasonable, and even adjusted to my schedule with the weather changes, which was greatly appreciated. During the survey, he talked me through all the steps. Even after, his response time was phenomenal and information was top notch. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
Robert Dumais: Christian was referred to me and I was not disappointed. He was super professional, responsive and very thorough and his survey report was very detailed and helpful. Highly recommended!
Josh Neffinger: Christian was able to quickly schedule and perform the assessment. In addition, I was impressed with the thoroughness of the report and the timeliness of its delivery. Good communicator and attention to detail.
Lexi Ossinger: Hired Christian on short notice for a purchase survey on an early 80's sailboat. He was extremely thorough and I was very impressed by how quickly he got the detailed report back to me! The younger guys in the trade might not have the decades upon decades of experience but youthful flexibility allowed him to fit into every nook and cranny of the boat leaving nothing unchecked. I highly recommend him!
Martin Downs: Capt. Andrews conducted an insurance condition and value survey of my vintage sailing yacht for me. I am entirely satisfied and pleased with his work. He produced a report that is succinct and useful to me as an owner as well as being technically exhaustive; it will certainly make it much easier for me to obtain a new insurance policy on good terms. The report findings and observations are well supported with clear definitions, methods and scope of the inspection are clearly stated, and any limitations of the inspection are rationally disclaimed. It was easy to contact him and set up an appointment, and throughout the process I felt very confident that I was buying a high quality professional product. This was my second survey of the boat, and Capt. Andrews’ survey is superior to the first one I had by a different marine surveyor.
Eduardo Cusco: I am very pleased with the service provided by Christian. I just bought a Scout center console in Marblehead and he did the Pre-Purchase Survey. He was extremely professional and very thorough in his work. His knowledge and his attention to details were evident from the start. Being from Florida, to have him do the survey provided a high degree of confidence. I will recommend him anytime and will not hesitate to contact him in the future if I need to.
Brendan Melanson: I couldn’t be happier with my experience working with Christian. He was prompt, thorough, helpful, and communicative during my entire boat purchasing journey. I highly recommend him and look forward to working with him again in the future.
Mark Vitagliano: I took my first boating lesson this morning with Accurate/Christian. He was absolutely incredible. Docking has been my achilles heel and he explained the mechanics and angles and taught me in such a great way that by the end of the session I had great confidence. Christian is an INCREDIBLE teacher and is just an overall GREAT guy. I will continue on with more lessons to learn more about my boat and how to captain it with confidence. I cannot recommend him more highly. I just wish I knew of him and his services sooner so I could have started a month ago!
Shep Becker: The detail and thoroughness of Christian’s work was impeccable! I highly recommend Christian to any boater in New England!
Loren Rees: Christian was a pleasure to deal with during the purchase of my 24' Performer this month. Speedy service and a very thorough inspection. I have the 27 page report to prove it. I highly recommend his services!
Kathy Malloy: Buying a boat is an important decision that involves understanding what it looks like versus what it’s made up of. Having a professional that knows this may be difference of choosing a safe and good looking boat versus a good looking boat that’s very unsafe. Christian is one of the best surveyors I’ve hired. He has the knowledge and insight of engine, electrical, mechanical and structural- all the key components in a boat and in your hired surveyor. You want this important decision on buying your boat supported by a professional that knows how important it is to you.Christian did this for me, and he’ll do it for you. I highly recommend his services for any yacht survey and your peace of mind.
Doug Madden: Christian is a professional. This was my first time buying a boat and it was from a private seller. As a first time buyer I had a lot of questions which he was glad to answer. He helped me with my pre-purchase Marine Survey and it is 100% worth the investment. Christian is responsive and knowledgeable, I would refer him to anyone and strongly suggest they use his services.
Andy Burton: So I have to say I cold called Christian not knowing what to expect. I had never used a marine surveyor before, but being from out of state I needed a qualified eye to look over the boat before I finalized the sale. Christian was prompt, attentive, and of course accurate in his surveying of the vessel. He kept me in the loop with periodic updates through the entire process and quickly put my nerves to ease. He also did a great job in document his finding, which I will definitely be referring to when it comes to future project undertakings. What more can I say. Christian is the guy you want!
newCTdentist: Christian was absolutely the best!! Did a very thorough job surveying my boat before purchase. Was always available by phone and email, very knowledgeable.Even called him a month later with some questions he had no problem answering. I highly recommend him.
Ned B: Christian did great work on a pre-purchase survey. Great communication, on time, thorough and friendly. Highly recommended and would hire again without question.
Seth Bresnan: Outstanding service and attention to every detail. Christian of Accurate Marine Surveyors did 3 different vessels for me before I found the right one. His knowledge and thoroughness kept me from purchasing the wrong boat. Highly recommend him.
Jeffrey Evans: Christian was awesome and provided an incredibly thorough survey. He was always available by phone and extremely knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quality marine surveyor.
Dennis machamer: I have been around the marine industry for a while and have bought and sold many boats. I recently used Christian at Accurate Marine Surveyors and his levels of communication with the client and his survey work was top notch. He was very prompt and also completed final report to a high level of detail and quickly. If you are looking for a marine survey for your next vessel look no further than Christian at Accurate Marine Surveyors.
Lee A Wilkinson: Christian from Accurate Marine Surveyors did an excellent job with our survey. We had an urgent need for a quick turnaround and Christian was able to accommodate us with clear communication, fast service and with incredible attention to detail. American Marine Surveyors: what do users think?
Keith MacLean: The only mistake I made was not contacting Capt. Robson earlier in the boat survey process as I had dealt with a so-called marine surveyor that didn't have sufficient industry knowledge of my C&C. In my 30 plus years of owning, buying, and selling boats... Capt. Robson's survey (from both a buyer and sellers' perspective) was by far the most complete and comprehensive I've ever seen...as well his detailed follow-up report consultation! I've gone and informed many boating friends/acquaintances that it's the best $ money you can spend by getting a detailed survey before the sales process. Moreover, Capt. Robson was a joy to deal with as he always and promptly returned all phone calls/emails in less than 24 hrs. 5 Stars and an A+ review from this yachtsman.
Paul DeScenza: Captain Robson just surveyed a Grady White boat I purchased. It was readily apparent that he knew what he was doing. He was very thorough and took the time to explain everything he was doing. He also imparted some of his experiences and wisdom during the process. Captain Robson was referred to me by a friend, and I'm so glad I hired him for the survey. I highly recommend him. Well worth the cost, for peace of mind, and insurance requirements.
Barry Lenoble: Captain Robson surveyed a boat for me. He did an amazing job. I observed the survey and Captain Robson patiently explained what, why, and how everything worked. He has tremendous valuable knowledge and is happy to share. I learned so much about the boat I am purchasing.
Rodney Parker: Review of American Marine SurveyorsRecently, my wife and I were put in contact with American Marine Surveyors to conduct the pre-purchase survey of 2 sailboats. The first, a Jeanneau 53 that we declined, and the second, a Jeanneau 50 that we ultimately purchased. I cannot say enough about not only the importance of a marine survey but of the importance of the role the surveyor plays in terms of being a source of knowledge about boats and a given line of boats. Our surveyor, Burton Robson, surveyed both boats traveling from the Boston area to Florida and subsequently Maryland to do so. Both surveys were worth the expense we incurred as the survey on the first boat confirmed our belief that it was not a boat we should buy, and the survey on the second boat confirmed that it was as clean a vessel as we could expect. The role that the surveyor plays during the purchase process is invaluable, especially if the expense is considerable. We learned a great deal from Burton and our broker, who were quick to share their knowledge and experience of the Jeanneau line. The moral to the story is simply this. Do the survey. And feel comfortable doing it with American Marne Surveyors, it is part of your due diligence in avoiding costly oversights later on. It just makes good sense.
Rich Raulli: It’s hard to know where to start, with the words of praise I have for Captain Burton Robson as a surveyor. For starters, just Google his name and when you skip on past the “paid for” links at the top, you’ll find out that Burton has spent so much time on the water, it’s wonder he hasn’t grown gills by now. This is a surveyor who really loves his job as much as he does spending time on the water, sailing and teaching others to sail. Through the whole experience of buying, what my wife and I typically refer to as, a “real boat” (one with a head) versus the 18ft sailboat we had to set up at the beach every time we had to sail, we never seemed to meet anyone who was in a bad mood and Burton was no exception. During the sea trial, he couldn’t resist his urge to teach, as he pointed out sailing techniques that even the owners of the boat, for the past ten years, didn’t even know about. With the sailing season coming to an end, Burton offered to conduct the survey in two days versus one, where the sea trial and bottom survey is typically conducted on the same day. This resulted in us not having to pay for the short haul, that would be required for the same day survey, in addition to the season ending haul out. Although I don’t have any other surveyors or surveys to compare with, the finished 37-page survey that Burton published, assessing the boats positives and negatives, could not have been any more thorough. I don’t think he left any shutoff valve or band aid in the first aid kit uninspected. So, to conclude, if you’re lucky enough to get Captain Robson to survey your boat, you won’t be disappointed. In fact, I guarantee you’ll learn more than just what shape the fiberglass decking, of the boat you’re looking to purchase, is in.
M K: I can't say enough about the level of professionalism, and attention to detail that Burton brought to our boat survey. He was absolutely fantastic! Every part of the boat was inspected and thoroughly documented. Each question we asked he answered patiently taking the time to help us understand and learn the boat.Without hesitation I can say we will be calling Burton for all of our future survey needs!!!
Emily Slotnick: I can only say good things about my experience with Burton. He was patient to explain the process to a first time boat buyer, and also to walk through every aspect of his inspection with me so i could learn about my boat as he went through all the nooks and crannies. I would highly recommend AMS to anyone in need!
William Foppiano: I’m not one who typically leaves reviews, but I figured I would save some time to anyone scrolling through google looking for a boat survey.American Marine Surveyors exceeded my expectations and made my boat buying experience painless.Burton’s knowledge was excellent, his survey was thorough, his patience and guidance were reassuring.Burton loves and enjoys what he does and it translates through every interaction along the way. Even the broker selling the boat (unsolicited) gave positive feedback on Burton’s service and professionalism long after Burton was done and left.Rest assured, you’re in good hands when you choose American Marine Surveyors.
David Aman: Captain Robson is top notch. I spoke to several surveyors on the phone and Burton’s professionalism, attention to detail and passion for his craft was quite evident in our initial conversation. This all carried over during our interactions and throughout the survey process. Burton was instrumental in giving us sound advice and ensuring the purchase we are making is a very informed decision. I couldn’t be happier. Hire this man!
Lynda Jean: It is not often that you come across people who are genuinely kind and helpful, but Burton at American Marine Surveyors is just that! He took the time to walk us through the survey process and answer all of our questions. He is friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. We would recommend him to anyone in the market for a new boat.
Gustavo Gonzalez: Captain Robson was very professional and thorough in his survey. He is very knowledgeable in his field of expertise. His lengthy process and numerous photographes helps us make the best decision. We highly recommend his services.
