John Heavey, Jr.: Picked up 2 yards of “seasoned” firewood Fromm mass mulch. Definitely the bottom of pile given the amount of bark and ground material that was loaded into in my truck. Vast majority of the logs are heavy, sizzle when burned and not fully seasoned. Lesson learned, just make make sure your not getting wood from the bottom of the pile.

Mark White: Have been using Mass Mulch since purchasing my current home 6 years ago, finally getting around to a review. Really like the online ordering system they utilize. Have ordered mulch (every season), aggregate materials, sand and soil for various projects over the years. Product is always consistent and turnaround times on deliveries are always pretty quick (24-48 hours in my experiences). Deliveries have always been left where we wanted them as well. Highly recommend for any yard material needs.

Ashinavalon: Watch out for excessive delivery fees. Apparently their policy is free delivery within 10 miles. I'm 10.8 miles away from them. I'm fine with paying a little something for the .8 miles. But was shocked when I saw the bill and it was $50. Really, $50 for .8 miles? That just left a bad feeling in my mouth. I'll take my business elsewhere next time.

Babu Rathinam: Charging 20$ for Fuel surcharge to deliver 0.4 miles seems too much, when it is advertised delivery is free. At the same time another vendor delivering from 4 miles didn't have fuel charge and free delivery. This could have been prorated by distance, thats all. Ty.

I was so pleased with the product, the delivery and especially the friendliness of the staff that I ordered more soil this year for yard repair. Friendly driver, perfect delivery. What other reviewers have called a "salty" attitude I simply call someone with an actual personality, which I welcome. I was told to check in with the office to reschedule with the office. Dr Mulch went on a rant saying he was not coming back today and if I didn't like it too bad. I brought up what he said when he booked the appointment and he hung up. Good luck dealing with this nitwit.

I literally requested help with my lawn and instead of just selling products they did recommended one which it was exactly the amount they say I needed but before I bought it they gave the option to have the ph tested and gave me the website where I could do it before I buy any product. It was my decision to choose if I wanted to try without testing the ph on my lawn.My husband and I are very please with this company.

In addition, after dumping the mulch, he used a leaf blower in order to ensure that all of the delivered mulch was all in one spot. Well done !!!

Jeffrey Bernier: This place is very dishonest. Ordered 100 yards of loam. A guy brought me 4 triaxle loads and told me that was 100 yards. He claimed his body is a 25 yard coal body but there’s no chance of that. It holds maybe 18 and that would have to be flush across the top at the head board. When I confronted him about the shortage he told me, in true snake fashion “I couldn’t prove it because it was already spread” I basically got screwed paying almost double the cost per yard for what I paid for and what I got. Terrible businesspeople
sean d: Ordered 100 yards of loam for a new lawn I was installing on my property. They claim the soil is "Grade-A" and while the soil itself might be my order came loaded with glass. I've spent countless hours trying to remove as much glass as possible from the property but I still find pieces throughout. I kids and am afraid to let them play in the yard because of the glass issue. I called them and they put the blame on me saying I already had the glass on my property. Nothing worse than a business that won't stand behind their product. Pay a little more from a more reputable company so you don't have this happen to you.

Mark Dowling: Called at 9am to order 5yards of mulch. The truck was in my driveway delivering it by 10:30am. I’m two towns away. Mulch is premium quality, the price was very good and the driver was a super guy. These guys are great and I will be doing business with them again.
Thomas Tierney: Tim and his team helped us totally transform our backyard. They helped install proper drainage, bury gutter downspouts, regrade soil, bring in new compost and loan and lay down grass seed. They also installed a huge paver patio with a fire pit. Our experience with them was outstanding and they were very professional and easy to communicate. I would recommend them to anyone and will be using them again in the future.
Keith Harley: I've had Peter's crew do a few small landscaping jobs, and one really big one, and they always do a fantastic job. Highly recommend them.

Sandy Healy (Sandy): While we haven't worked with P&L as a landscape service, I had occasion to call them regarding a leaking poolside waterfall. Eric came to our house and helped evaluate what the problem might be. He recommended some masonry work be done to seal missing grout between the stones, and then a test to see how well that solution fared. The mason he brought in was absolutely fantastic and worked diligently to fill the gaps. We did a test on half of the waterfall and still lost water from the pool, so the mason came back and did the other side. We couldn't test that half because it was time to close the pool and the water level had to be dropped until spring of 2023. We will test again in the spring. Eric Brand was upfront about pricing. We are going through the repair(s) step by step to eliminate doing too much work too quickly on the waterfall. The last time we had the waterfall repaired, we spent a lot of money for a Hollis landscaper who fibbed (he really hadn't had his crew install a waterfall), he did find a kid to tear out the waterfall, but no one knew how to put it back together again! -- thousands of dollars later. No more work with that landscaper. Eventually we found a real mason who could reassemble it, and for a reasonable price.Eric's mason's name is Phil and he is a conscientious worker, staying later if the job requires it, and he works straight through while on the job -- no cell phone calls, no time wasted -- and he is very impressive (clean cut, friendly and professional).Eric Brand of P&L, too, is very impressive. He is a focused businessperson who doesn't mess around. He stays on top of a project until it's finished, from initial problem evaluation to finish...well, this project isn't quite finished yet because of our pool being closed, but I am confident he will be right back on top of the situation when spring arrives.

The team is very professional and did a good job on our beds. We had some issues with some of the plantings not coming up this spring and they came out and took care of us with replacement plants. Will use them for future projects.

They came in and in 1 day removed the remainder of the tree and its roots which pretty much covered the entire space. Smoothed out the grade and hydroseeded, all that's left to do is wait for the grass to appear.

When we met with the owner Eric, he listen to what we were looking to have done. Eric build confidence in us by listening to our wants / needs and sharing ideas on what he felt we were looking to do which ended up being complete makeover of our yard! He sent us a detailed estimate and even went back and forth with us to insure he didn’t miss anything. This was such an important detail because it showed my wife and I that he cared about meeting and exceeding our expectations. True salesmanship! The first day of our project his foreman Kolten and his crew set the tone of the project and kept us updated every day on what they’d be doing which was awesome! The entire crew was upbeat, enjoyable to be around and showed great camaraderie! We just can’t say enough about this company and highly suggest if your looking to do a landscaping project that you call P&L landscaping.....simply the best!
