The World In Stitches: what do users think?
Corinna Kraemer: Amazing hidden gem in Littleton! Shop is surprisingly large, definitely allow yourself lots of time to browse. Shop owner is highly knowledgeable and helpful. Great selection and excellent prices. Hope to return if I am ever in the area again sometime!
Haley Baron: Absolutely wonderful shop with the kindest helpers. I am a beginner and the woman who assisted me answered all my questions with enthusiasm and so much knowledge! Thank you for a wonderful experience and I cannot wait to go back!
Di Jacobs: I visited the store a number of years ago when it was very cold outside and I had a lot of time to kill before an appointment elsewhere in the building. I spent so long looking through all the beautiful eye candy of yarns and threads, but was only able to purchase a few inexpensive clearance yarn skeins. The ladies there at the time treated me as though I was a VIP and showed me all kinds of little gems of things one might miss while browsing. They didn't change attitudes when I started digging through the cheap stuff, and when they learned I was stuck in the area for a while, they opened up the classroom space and set me up in there with a hot cup of tea and a comfy chair. They asked me about the project I was working on and were enthusiastic about my humble little scrap yarn granny squares, and asked about the projects I'd made with the rest of the yarn that had produced the little scrap balls. Remembering their kindness years later is just as much of an unexpected joy as it was the first time. I'm so happy to see the shop is still going strong, and while I don't live nearby, I think I very much need to plan another visit soon!
Jane Law: I just discovered this shop and went there for the first time yesterday. I was blown away by all the cross stitch patterns, thread and fabrics Randi has in stock! To top it off, Randi herself is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Gave me a tour of that section of her shop then left me to explore - just checked in once or twice over my time there to make sure I was ok. I'll definitely be back! Thanks so much, Randi!!
Lois Brooks: She had all I needed for my next cross stitch project. Great service
Rowan Johnson: I don't think there's another retail store in the area that sells cross stitch supplies. Lucky for us, this store sells a wide variety of supplies. It's a three part store, with supplies for needlepoint, cross stitch, and knitting all in one. There's a wide selection of threads & cross stitch patterns and the owner regularly gets in trunk shows to change things up. Randi (the owner) is a wonderful person, very helpful if needed, and a great person to support with your purchases. It's clear this is a store run by someone who is really passionate about the needle arts.
Everett Johnson: Great Stitching store. Don't judge a book by its cover and go in to explore a large selection.
Claire Denatale: Randi is more than helpful. I am so grateful for her expertise and kindness
jason davini: Great little place. Friendly staff, and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend
A Chickadee: Great shop with large selection of yarn. The owner Randy is very helpful and friendly. Love shopping here!
Harmonie Snow: Randy is fun to chat with, and there's so many different kinds of threads and fabrics...I always find something special that I'm excited to use.
MaryLou Benoit: Wonderful shop. Randy is so helpful
caroline seamans: Always so helpful and a wonderful selection.
Kathleen LaVenture: I bought a beautiful needle point here
Gail Finnie Rundlett: Randi was more than helpful and knowledgeable about my counted cross stitch project. The store is packed with every conceivable material for folks who knit and do stitchery. There are very few shops like this anywhere!
Sonya Lodge: Wow no denying my love for yarn and there lots in this shop and if you need more the owner can often order it for you. Whether you knit, handstitch, crochet, embroider, etc it's here. There's a room set aside for craft classes etc. Haven't heard of The World? Not sure where it is? World of Stitches has been around for ages and currently resides above Options in the "yellow" bldg next to Donelans in Littleton, MA. The owner is kind and sure, she makes herself avail allowing you to get lost amongst the treasures.
Ann Gross: This shop is unique. If I need something special, I can find it here. Her inventory is extensive, and she knows it thoroughly. Prices are reasonable. I have been shopping here for years, although less frequently since I moved farther away. She treats customers with respect (even beginners), and makes suggestiipns when asked. The atmosphere is relaxed and supportive. I would give her more than 5 stars if I could. I can’t say enough good things!
Jodi Bedard: I visited Randi at her wonderful shop yesterday for my birthday.. I was there a long time and it was such an enjoyable day! Her shop is loaded with tons of cross stitch patterns, gorgeous specialty threads and fabrics. It was so nice relaxing and chatting with Randi. She was so sweet and helpful. I highly recommend this shop if you love cross stitch and other needle arts too! Thank you, Randi, for making my birthday one to remember for sure!....
G. Neric: Immediately greeted by a sweet woman who left me alone to browse and didn't bat an eyelash that a man walked into a needlework shop on his own. This place has lots to offer the fiber enthusiast. Lush yarns, anchor floss, fabrics, accessories, and cross stitch patterns (most of them preserved in plastic). Defiantly worth a drive if you are anywhere nearby.
Bruce Johnson: Always a joy to visit. Randi is s helpful. Love the selection. Yarn, Needlework, beads . Will start cross stitch again, looking forward to a little change of pace.

Stitch Boutique: what do users think?
Kathy Collins: Great help picking out threads.
L Zsolnay: Very old fashioned (unattractive (IMO) and only sells one type of needle point, not promoting all the fabulous modern creatives you find on Etsy and the like. Not particularly friendly - made me feel like I was an inconvenience. I suggest Gather Here in Cambridge or Stitch Modern online.
Everett Johnson: Great place
Liz Larson: Love this shop! Beautiful hand painted canvases and lots of options for fibers. The owner is great, so helpful and nice. Just stopped by today for a curbside pick up for more fiber. I fell in love with one of their canvases on Instagram - may need to go back this week to get it !

Circle of Stitches: what do users think?
Alexis Mercier: This is an amazing little yarn store on the north shore. They also carry lot's of amazing stitching kits. There is also a very good selection of tarot cards and lots6of great books. I can't recommend this place enough
Jane Lapointe: Nice selection of yarn. I have interacted with several different members of the staff who, without exception, were very helpful and knowledgeable.
Teresa Beals: Not just for yarn people
Michele Cavalcante: Beautiful store. Highly recommend
Carolyn: Cute shop, beautiful yarns and helpful staff
Kate Perry: Always a great experience here! The owner is extremely knowledgeable, not only of her stock but of knitting and crochet techniques and popular patterns to make suggestions. She works hard to make everyone feel welcome and at home. This is a must-visit for any yarn lover, especially since this shop stocks locally dyed Toil and Trouble yarn. There is also a delightful selection of high quality witchy goods, including tarot decks, candles, and crystals.
Shannon “Luna” O'Neil: Super cute little shop!
Hazel Sinton: I visited this store during a trip to Salem. Its an absolute delight! There is so much high quality yarn to choose from and the staff could not have been more helpful, knowledgeable or friendly. There are also witch themed mementos and other knick knacks. I highly recommend this shop.
Ian Beck: Best yarn store I've ever been too, great selection of yarn made with Domestic Wool.
Clare Tof Miryam: Circle of Stitches is my local yarn store, but even it wasn't I'd go out of my way to shop here - the yarn is thoughtfully curated and it's clear that they're seriously passionate about fiber and fiber arts. If you ever want to feel like an accomplished sophisticated craftsperson capable of making things of beauty using nothing but two needles and a string of wool just browse around for a few minutes! It's impossible not to get inspired.(Also since Circle of Stitches is my lys I'd be remiss not to shout out how proactive CoS is about COVID-19 safety. Salem is a tourist destination all through the year and so there's extra risk involved when making decisions. I really respect that they've been up front about centering the health of the community. Thanks guys!)
Trancy Zhu: I’ve never thought about knitting before but this store is so nice that it made me make up my mind to start knitting! The staff cannot be more friendly and was very patient to help me choose the correct choice & amount of yarn for my first project. There is a large variety of beautiful colors for each type of yarn and the price is competitive (the yarn I bought is the same price in the store as on Amazon). Definitely will come back some time!
Jeremy Morse: Would not recommend this store at all. The owner was rude and not very helpful at all. If I could give 0 stars I would
Betsy Pingree: Destination yarn store. Ana is a wonderful shop owner and knit witch. She also offers lessons and has helped me improve my knitting by leaps and bounds. The shop is adorable with a wide selection of lovely yarns, as well as household items and knitting accessories. I wish I didn’t move away so I could come back every week. If you’re in Salem, Circle of Stitches is a must-visit shop.
John Paul “JP” Kruszewski: Not my local yarn shop but I love the vibe and how helpful Ana is. Wonderful selection of yarns and super convenient.
Carl Trimbach: Not open and no sign of when they are or will be open. 😕Edit: Even with COVID (this was months after it started, not when everything was still unsure or unclear), it seems reasonable to post a note on the door. So, I think the one star review is reasonable. I couldn't visit and had no explanation as to why until months later. 🤷🏻‍♂️
Meg Fussell: The best yarn shop on the north shore. When I first moved to Salem three years ago, I was thrilled to find a yarn shop right on my doorstep. Ana, the owner, was eager to show me around the store. Over the years of getting to know Ana and the C.o.S staff, I've come to learn how incredibly talented they are, extremely knowledgeable, and SO passionate about yarn. They can help anyone at any stage of their knitting/fiber journey. The yarn in C.o.S. is also top notch; I'm a big advocate for using the right yarn for the right project, and the team at C.o.S. are always helpful with finding exactly what I need. Definitely shop here for all your yarn and witchy needs and keep local yarn shops alive!
Meredith Edelstein: I love this store! The staff has taken the pandemic seriously and thus this is one of a few places I feel safe shopping. The owner took the time to schedule a virtual consult with me so I could pick yarn for a specific project, and she even took the time to have yarn ready in advance. When we were able to shop in person, I was so appreciative that the owner remembered me and was very supportive in making my yarn choices. I’ve also taken a class there and definitely improved my knitting skills because of it. This store is one of a kind!
Elizabeth Coughlan: Fantastic little shop in the heart of Salem's waterfront. Here you will find beautiful yarns, great designs, and well curated collection of tarot cards and other witchy goods. Look more closely and you'll also find a thriving community of fiber artists. Ana offers lessons, encouragement, and a weekly Zoom-based knit night, now joined by people from all over the country. This is a full service store. I have on two recent occasions bought yarn for projects by consulting with Ana over Messenger. She sent me photos until we had the colors I wanted lined up and then I was able to pick up the yarn curbside. More recently, she mailed me a set of knitting needles I needed for a project. It's almost too easy to buy the yarns you need/want from Circle of Stitches.
Margarita Martinez: I have taken advantage of their amazing online presence, especially during COVID. As most responsible businesses, Circle of Stitches has had to close then reduce hours with strict policies to keep themselves and their clientale safe. I have the utmost respect for someone who cares that much about the community's well being.I have taken advantage of their knit nights, their Tea and Tarot events, their classes and also have had two online fiber concierge which led to a hefty yarn purchase. The care and patience to show me different colors, different yarns and the expertise when reviewing a pattern and helping me with getting enough yarn for my size. Circle of Stitches truly encourages that all bodies are knit worthy and that all types of fiber enthusiasts are welcome. Also their Tarot items, candles, divination stuff is also a favorite purchase while I pretend to be on yarn diets. Circles of Stitches has an incredible owner Ana who is very talented and knowledgeable in Tarot and has been a pillar in my learning during these difficult times.I thank Circle of Stitches for helping me keep sanity during these scary COVID months and I can't wait for the day I make the trip to visit the store in person. Of course I'll make sure to phone ahead and conscious of closing hours and restrictions because I'm a sensible person.
Kalliope Famellos: I had incredibly helpful customer service here. They have a wonderful array of yarns and I really love their non yarn gift selections.
The Critical J: PROS: I've never seen a yarn store in my life. I've seen fabric stores that sell everything, but no store that sells just yarn. This place had a lot of books about knitting, knitting accessories, and of course all types of yarn. The nice and helpful lady also showed us the different varieties of yarn based on quality and showed us what was native to the area.CONS: I think the prices were a little too high despite the quality being there. It's not enough to lower the star rating but one roll was $25, if it was dropped to $18 i could see that flyOVERALL: If you're into knitting or want to get into it this place is the place to go. Don't trust the big franchises, go here where she'll tend to your needs and not try to sell you and push you out

Wellesley Needlepoint Collection: what do users think?
Debi Roberts: The ladies who work here are so helpful & friendly. Great selection of fibers!
mari bourne: The staff is very knowledgeable about determining the qualities of threads that you need to complete a project.
Larry Dannenberg: The staff are very helpful in coaching you and picking threads
Rowan Johnson: Great little shop! The staff are universally kind and pleasant, helpful if needed while allowing you to browse if not. I love that they post images of their canvases in stock on their website - it's great to get an overview of what they have, in particular for trunk shows, before making the drive over. Their thread selection is wonderful - they basically have it all, and at a reasonable price - as well as a good number of books and accessories.
Clare McCully: As an avid needlepointer, one appreciates a shop with high standards and kind attention. I adore shopping here and they have finished dozens of my projects. Love this place and those work there.
Danielle Colleran: I can’t say enough good things about this store! I decided to try to learn how to needlepoint a couple of years ago and walked into this shop to ask if they could help me learn. Cindy, the owner, quickly set up me with a beginner’s kit and introduced me to an incredible group of women. The employees are so helpful and reassuring. My husband doesn’t even mind when I send him in to pick up fibers. When I stop in for some help or I need to pick up fibers and I have my toddler with me, someone always helps to keep him entertained while I ask my questions. Feeling welcomed and having someone take the time to help, even with a toddler in tow, this is what makes the store so special. They also have an incredible selection of fibers and canvases, stitch and chat groups, and events.
J Sheridan McClees: While we were in Boston, we went out of our way so my wife could go to this amazing needlepoint shop. One of the nicest we have been to. I also spent some time petting the very friendly mascot.
Jock McClees: My wife needlepoints and so I get to go into lots of needlepoint shops. This is one of the best I have seen and more importantly, she was impressed too. They also had some amazing examples of finished needlepoint.
Anne Geddes: Super needlepoint shop! Very helpful with getting me back into needlepointing after 17 years. Beautiful variety of artwork and gorgeous colors to choose from. They have so much to offer to get you started, get you back into it and learn from others!

Another Yarn: what do users think?
Vicki Chen: My yarn order took 8 weeks to come in. The owner told me “it won’t take too long” when I placed my $170- order. When I called after 3 weeks, I was told “your order is being held as part of a larger order”, which perhaps means they would rather make me wait, than pay for shipping? I called weekly thereafter, and eventually it came in after 2 months. The owner never called me back despite several messages, and she never apologized for the delay. Furthermore, she told me that I needed 2100 yards for this sweater I am making. I am half way through it and have only used 500, there is no way I needed to buy that much. I will not be back. There are many great yarn stores nearby, like Lucky Cat in Melrose and Gather Here in Cambridge. I would rather travel farther for better customer service. In response to the owner: I agree, it is unfortunate that she never returned my calls and is first hearing about these problems via an internet review- that is on her. I hope she learns from this experience and treats future customers better.
Rachel Williams: One of the most pleasant and beautiful places I visited for yarn. It was a splendid store with wonderful staff who helped out so much. I cannot wait to go again
shannon c: Always friendly and helpful
Carol B: Wonderful shop. Beautiful yarn. Great range of prices. Lots of fun accessories. Rest rooms for men and women. Easy access. Superior help from Dee. Needles galore. Very pleased. I’ll be back. A+++
Liza Paden: Excellent help that is useful. Yarns are stored in back so you always have "fresh" skeins.
Rosemary Jarjoura: Excellent service with experienced helpers. Their selection is abundant and high quality. I feel lucky to have them close to my home.
Carol Lerch: Excellent yarn store, lots of beautiful yarns to choose from, the staff is very knowledgable and can help with any problem.
Kay Snowden: I found the customer service terrible and will not shop here again. I placed an order for yarn. I called when it was expected in, and could not get an answer on the status on my order. I was told they would check into it and call me back, but I never got a call. After nearly 2 weeks I cancelled the order and got my yarn from another vendor within 24 hours. Never even an apology from Another Yarn.
Matthew Stieglitz: Great selection of yarns and colors. Lessons accessories and much more.if you knit you must go there.
Anita Rossiter: Guess what Santa delivered under our Chanukah bush! A special treat from Another Yarn. Thanks thanks, Teresa, for snapping up one of these hard to find needle sets from Addi. I can't wait to try them. After much searching you came through and the set looks so v nice. Happy Holidays!
Kathleen Riley: Love this yarn shop. Very friendly and welcoming with lots of samples and ideas
Lulita M: Very wonderful ladies and such a lovely choice of yarns.
Josh Andrews: Modest selection of yarns with mediocre service. Waited several minutes at the register before someone came over from the "knitting group" to check us out. Highly recommend making the trip to Webs instead.
Emily Mason: Small shop with a good selection of mostly natural fibers. An older couple runs the store and offer free knitting lessons. Very old school, but worth the visit.
MaryLou Benoit: Love this shop. Great selection of yarns. Friendly and helpful staff.
Jennifer Stack: Great selection, friendly knowledgeable staff. A great LYS!
Rose Ferrara: Favorite yarn shop. Beautiful yarns and nice people.
Megan Goheen Lower: Very customer friendly and helpful.
Deb S: Fully provisioned yarn store with a good selection of specialty in luxury yarns. I like the kits they have of patterns and yarn pre-packaged as a bundle. Very helpful when they have the samples made up and then you can grab the kit.
joseph ryan: Very pleasant and helpful personnel! Well stocked store.
Mira Whiting: Just went for the first time the other day, but was seriously impressed with the variety and quality of yarn stocked. I will definitely be going back again soon!

Stitch Boutique Boston: what do users think?
Hannah McGrath: Good selection of string but the women there were pretty mean and unhelpful to me when I was the only patron in the store. Wish there were another small business to support in Boston for my yarn needs!
Sara Makaretz: Great selection of canvases, fibers, accessories (e.g. stretcher bars), and finishing services. I'm impressed by how well stocked this sweet little store is for the small size. There is also a second location in Winchester and they're able to easily send things between stores (or order) if Boston doesn't have what you need. Stitch Boutique helped me with my first ever canvas in Feb 2021 and have been so helpful along the way. An excellent local needlepoint store!
Kathi Tildsley: Beautiful selection of canvas and threads. Wonderful supportive staff, especially for beginners!
Emily Ablin: Amazing to have this great needlepoint shop downtown! They have everything you would need in terms of threads, needles, beads, stretcher bars, books, project bags, and a great selection of canvases. I've also had both custom canvas painting and finishing done and the work is excellent and had fast turn around. On top of that the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.
Ashley Drach: I am fairly new to needlepoint (pandemic hobby) and was so thrilled to be able to go in person. I was even more excited when I got there. The owners were so friendly and knowledgeable, spent a considerable amount of time with me picking out the right threads, color matching, and sharing general knowledge.
Marcy Yellin: Great shop and customer service!
Tyler Starr: My fiancé and I had such a fabulous time this afternoon browsing the lovely selection of canvasses and chatting with Bob! He’s a treasure - delightful to talk to and full of great advice. Can’t wait to come back!
Aimee H: Excellent selection of silk and wool thread.
Liz Larson: Love this shop. Beautiful canvases, great fibers and super helpful nice people.
Sheryl Bringman: Needlepoint shop. We stopped in to see what they had available not knowing that it was only needlepoint, and as I do other needle arts but not needlepoint, did not get anything. HOWEVER, the woman at the shop was very friendly and helpful and if I ever start doing needlepoint, I would definitely go there for projects and supplies. Very lovely place.
Lina Alhariri: My favourite product ever,
