Jeff's Oil Corporation: what do users think?
Anonymous Completely: My very elderly mother has always liked doing business with Jeff's Oil, and uses them for service as well as delivery, but the past week has shaken her faith. Because she has a very old house and the weather has been quite cold, she is using more oil than usual. 5 days ago, with bad weather in the forecast, she started getting concerned about the level of oil in her tank, and called to accelerate her next delivery. Not only did she never reach a human being, but their voice mail was (and remains) full and she could not even leave a message. After several days of this I suggested that I might have better luck in an email. When I did so, I received a reply saying that they would "be there in the next several days to make a delivery." That was exactly what she had been trying to avoid by calling for an earlier delivery. They are clearly missing the point. I have emailed them twice since with no response; there is no answer when I call. If she runs out of oil, or even if the tank gets low enough so that the furnace starts drawing sludge instead of fuel, she is going to have no heat an expensive service call. We are both very disappointed in their lack of response and lack of understanding of the situation.

County Energy Products: what do users think?
Mike Kino: So I signed this company and bought oils from them, I asked them to put me on automatic delivery which they didn’t , so then I run out of oil and call them they told me I have to pay extra for pumping the pipes because of air so I did and this was in April 3 , so they came and I was at work and left the door open for them, they supposedly fixed it and Friday night I had no oil and Monday which is today I called them and the lady told me I have to pay again for service and let me tell you I’m surprised how she can work with those skills at that company, horrible service
Mr.: Stay away! They should be ashamed of themselves making people wait so long to fill oil. Everything about this place is unprofessional. Period!
Tracy Rossi: A response to feedback left by Revolution.Interesting feedback. Reads like another disgruntled employee review. You left out whyyou got fired from County Energy Products . This is not your first negative review either. You have left similar feedback on other employers. Maybe you are the issue not the business? This is a fake review at best.
Karen Chase: Stay away! I will never use this company again! I called County Energy on Thursday to order oil. I asked if they would fill an order for 100 gallons, as most places want a minimum of 150 gallons. We are on a fixed income and the heating season is nearly over so 100 gallons will last until the fall. I was happily surprised when I was told they would let me order 100 gallons, so I went ahead and ordered. I was quoted a price of $4.98 a gallon, and that my oil would be delivered between Friday and Monday. In my 40 years of ordering heating oil, I was always charged the price of oil on the day that I ordered it. This morning, my oil was delivered, and I was charged $5.98 a gallon! That is an extra $100 for us that we didn't need to be spending. This is such a scam on us consumers that are already struggling to make ends meet. I have a few points to make ..1- I was quoted a price of $4.98 to be delivered between Friday and Monday. It is not my fault that it couldn't be delivered sooner.2- County waited until Monday, the last possible day, and I think it was to be able to inflate the price to it's maximum.3- It is against the law, and there are government regulations on overcharging for goods that were bought at a much lower price. I have a hard time believing that County went out , bought new oil, and delivered that same oil to me by this morning.4- They are not the lowest price around, Todays prices are high but there are cheaper prices than $5.98Next time I need oil, I will happily pay a few cents more a gallon if I have to , in order to avoid being scammed again.
Theresa Daigle: So professional ! Very understanding and polite ! One of the best places I ever got oil from !!
Zamiya Aponte: County Energy is one of the best companies I’ve ever worked for. Lee and Kim are the most genuine, caring bosses. They treat their employees like family and customers even better.
Geoff Ling: I've been buying heating oil from County Energy for about a year, and I've been pleased with the competitive prices and great service.
Marcello Aldorasi: Stay Away! Horrible workmanship and customer service. They literally threatened to leave our heat shut off if they determine the issue was not due to their own negligence.County Energy Products [also operating under Colonial Oil and Service provided under Leo Marchand Inc], performed a yearly maintenance on our boiler on 11/2. Leaving air in the oil lines and our boiler non functioning. After arriving home from vacation discovered the heat was not working and requested they come out to correct the issue. Additionally we have noticed that after they replaced the oil filter and gasket we have had a slow progressive leak. Upon calling them to come correct the issue they state that if they determine it is not the filter and gasket and due to the filter housing we are responsible for the costs. 1st, they left us with inoperable heat from this year's service due to the workmanship issue of not properly bleeding the oil lines and pump. 2nd they denied that same service, which already displayed poor workmanship, was not the cause to the leaking filter. 3rd, they expect us to take their word upon inspection of the leaking filter on whether we have to pay hundreds of dollars more to replace parts that were 100% functional and leak free before their service. We were better off without having the service performed at all! If your oil provider company recommends them, source your own service provider!!UPDATE: After further inspection [see additional picture] it is blatantly clear that it was once again a workmanship issue and the oil filter gasket is not properly installed.
Leo Lu: be aware. do not use this oil delivery. I used it for a few years without an issue at first. when I start using the auto-delivery I was charged about 4 times higher. when I called to ask for an explanation, the owner/manager basically yelled at me at the phone and refuse to listen to details. He basically says go call a lawyer if you have questions on the bill. I don't think it's worth a court fight for oil delivery. but I don't think this is the right attitude to treat a long-term customer. the staff said I used 4X more oil because it was windy and I took more showers. but my shower system is electric and completely independent from the heat system. the winter condition seems normal. also, the oil deliver amount in the receipt doesn't seem to match the amount shown on my oil meter. Unfortunately the owner doesn't care to explain why this is the case. I will NEVER USE this oil delivery again. the manager is rude and unprofessional!I suspect there is some mistake happening somewhere in the process. the manager at first suggested sending someone to verify the meter. when I agreed that is a good idea. He flip out and became very rude. then I read previous reviews, other customers said the same thing. there was a manage scream at them and hung up the phone. same thing happened to me. I think the staff members are nice. but the manager has some temper issues.
G B: Go to Dodge Grain in Salem NH for your propane needs. Major false advertising They list a 20 pound tank at 11.99 but that only for a 20 pound tank i brought a 100 pound tank to them to fill expecting it to cost 59.95 as 5/ 20 pound tanks will fill a 100 pound WRONG!!! Cost me 72.00 bucks. They charge more the more gas you buy. That"s right, they charge you more money the more propane you purchase should be the other way around. No where on there website does it say that. They list there starting propane cost at 2.29 a gallon but even at that price it should have cost 53.00 BEWARE only go there to fill a small tank if you need a lot of tanks filled or have a large tank go to Dodge Grain in Salem NH would have saved over 30 dollars Thats where ill be heading from now on
David: Thank you for the oil delivery. Great price and service!
Sean Camp: Good Oil Prices, and they deliver usually within 2 - 3 business days. They offer multiple payment options which is convenient.
Ralf Kraemer: Great pricing and very good service. Have been using them for 3+ years and would highly recommend them.
May H: My last supplier couldn't deliver fuel until 2 weeks later, so I called County Energy since they can deliver in 4 business day. Easy process from setting up account to make request; and just as they promised: they delivered the fuel on Thur, in spite of 12 inch snow that day. Very happy and satisfied with their prompt service!
H: Excellent customer service, courteous and they are always there when I need them. THANK YOU!
B Shin: Never get any service from the County Energy (Colonial Oil is the same company)!! I have had four services from Colonial Oil since last November for annual tune-up and fixing the heating-off problem. Every time they visited they said it should be OK, but same issue occurred 3 times since they gave service. A week ago, one of the technicians came for the same heat-off problem and installed a new ignition system (nozzle and t-former). After the service I found black ashes and soots from the exhaust/vent covered all over the deck and the exterior wall around the exhaust area. Even the two filters inside the heating system were all black (I changed the filter only a month ago). I called Colonial Oil yesterday and another technician came today morning and adjusted the ignition system. In the afternoon, I talked over phone with a man who claims to be the owner of the company and asked Colonial Oil to clean up the mess caused by the improper installation of the new ignition system by his technician. The guy said my heating system generating ashes and soots after the service was not their fault since his technician did not came to destroy the system but to help me fix the problem, and therefore it was not their responsibility to clean up the mess. What a nonsense this is! It is very clear to me that the service provider is responsible for cleaning up the byproduct of their improper service implementation. Moreover, this guy’s attitude was not even professional. After shouting and blaming me, this guy told me to get oil delivery and services from another company and just hung up the phone. Never get any service from the County Energy (Colonial Oil is the same company)!!
