J Arthur Poitras Inc: what do users think?
Jenny Saldarriaga: It's an old store, but Mr. Poitras is a lovely man, and a real cobbler. I brought a pair of boots, and was impressed by his wonderful job that I brought another pair, and I'll be definitely come back in the future.
Lisa Sutherland: Awesome!! They fixed my sons brace for his leg. Saved me lots of money. Thank you so much. 💕
Andy Bass: I wouldn't bring my boots anywhere else. Every time I've had my boots re-healed here, you can't even tell they're not original. The interior is old school, but in a quant and comfortable way. Arthur is also extremely friendly and a pleasure to talk with. I also wasn't disappointed with the cost for the services provided. The turn around time was also fast, about a week.
Carrie Garau: Don't ever bring your boots to this business. I dropped off my boot for a zipper repair in February. I was told 2 months because of backlog. She said up front the zipper would not be the same style. I said that isn't a problem. I just want it replaced so I can wear the boot. I called her in May thinking that would be PLENTY of time for the repair. She said she left me a voicemail asking for permission to use a different zipper. WE HAD ALREADY discussed the zipper when I left the boot!! So it was NOT fixed in May. I called again in AUGUST and it was still not fixed. It is now September and I still don't have my boot!!! She doesn't call you, you have to call and follow up with her. I now have to pick up my UNFIXED, but taken apart, boot and bring it somewhere else. Completely furious! This is just awful business practice.
Dick La Porte: Had a favorite pair shoes repaired, l'm retiring for more work!Doe a great job, on a lost art.
John Kevin Landry: It was like stepping into an old world shoe cobbler's shop from the 1950's! Which I totally enjoyed talking to Joe & Caroline! Several measurements & asking me to walk, They'll be ready next week...better construction, with better materials, these orthotic inserts will cost me a fraction of the price & time to receive!! Try the medical world, and I don't need to tell you, several doctor visits & several weeks later with a substandard(comparatively) insert that lasted a year and a half, at twice the price! It's a no-brainer! Their business has been around 105 years!
Athena Scarmeas: I've gone here for years! I attepmted to go to another place, but to expensive
Nancy Skoog: Although an older gentleman, Mr. Poitras is nothing short of a wizard in fashioning orthotics. Because of his skilled work, I am a 70 year old woman who is able to continue walking several miles along woodland trails almost every day. I have incredibly flat, arthritic feet, and, because of an unfortunate foot surgery, I am now missing some bone in one foot. A foot surgeon recommended that I try Mr. Poitras' orthotics prior to having another surgical procedure, and his hand crafted orthotics have made a very positive difference in my comfort and ability to enjoy life. He is very polite and extremely courteous in an old world kind of way, and my husband and I both enjoy talking with him. His helper is a very entertaining - a really unique woman - and she adds a bit of fun to this old fashioned cobbler's shop. I highly recommend J. Arthur Poitras Footwear!
ARNOLD KOVALL: I do not think there is any better, they know their craft, prices are within reasonand you could not ask for better SERVICE. KEEP GOING FOLKS! ARTHUR HAS ALSO A TERRIFICASSISTANT ALWAYS SMILING!
mark scolnick: Mr.Poitras fit me for inserts which have worked just wonderfully. Then they started to wear out he has rebuild them.I now live 1500 miles away and still get my inserts there.
Jim Reeds: Great service, great prices. Repaired, cleaned and oiled my boots, look brand new.Hours: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 11:30-5:00, Saturday 10-2.

She took time to understand my situation and provided a plan that will hopefully put an end to my discomfort. She gave me important information about using the corrective inserts and gave her own personal experience with them as well. Overall an excellent experience. The expense was considerably more than expected but if it resolves my problems for years to come it will be worth it. Ask me for a progress report in 6 months.Phil Stith

Boston Pedorthic: what do users think?
Hieu Nguyen: Came here to have my moms orthopedic shoes custom fitted for her. From start to finish the specialist, Baker, was incredibly patient and helpful and made the entire process stress free. My mom doesn’t speak English well so he was very understanding and tried to make things easy as possible for her. We look forward to coming here for her future needs.
Loretta Sparrow: I have been trying to get my shoes for 5 months. Because the code numbers are off by one number between my podiatrist and my primary care physician, pedorthics will not release my shoes. To say the least it has been a trying time. WHY???? For customer Service...0!!!Zero.
Thomas Barker: Completely unprofessional. I booked an appointment on line and when I showed up, I was rather rudely informed that I wasn't "in the system" and that the online booking system wasn't "synchronized" with their schedules, which does make one wonder why they have an online scheduling option in the first place. I cleared my schedule for this appointment, drove all the way across town for a scheduled appointment, and no one did anything to help me once I was there. Completely unprofessional - take your business someplace else.
Lisa Doherty: Very nice people, very knowledgeable. Incredible service and the finished product was more than we hoped for. I can't say enough good things. Thank you Eric!
Howard Goldsweig: This small orthotics shop treated me unprofessionally and with total rudeness. If client service is important for you in selecting a provider, then avoid this business!
matti spencer: Awesome! The best!!!
Brian Mulvey: Eric is one of the most interesting people I have ever met. I learned a great amount of information about feet, the process of engineering a shoe and making of orthotics.I will be picking up my shoes and orthotics soon. Very lovely and helpful staff.
Dick Rubinstein: Eric makes custom shoes that have changed my life. He has been making my shoes for five years now. I could not walk without pain for more than ¼ mile before getting the Boston Pedorthic shoes. Now I can walk miles. Eric understands the biomechanics of walking, and applies this knowledge to the shoes that he makes.
Liz Duvall: I tried to make an appointment with these people and was given so much hassle by a person whose English wasn't great that I gave up. They might make the greatest orthotics on the planet, but no one needs to go over hurdles to get them.
Said Osman: Regrettably most un-friendly staff.
Chris Madan: Great shoes, very helpful staff!
