Shiraz Persian Cuisine: what do users think?
Maj Andalibi: Food was good. Not the best. Service needs some personality, nice smile but no interaction with the guests. For a restaurant in middle of nowhere to have automatic tip charge unacceptable, bad taste with customer or they might not coming back. Leave the tipping to the customer and they might even pay more than 20%. Good luckFood: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Hossein ziayan: The best Persian cousin in MassachusettsFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
V Madison: Good food, but HATE the 20% automatically added in gratuity! For a party of 3. Seriously? Plus, she didn’t even let us know … guessing she hoped we wouldn’t see it so we’d double tip her. How sad. Annoying to the point I probably won’t go back.
Jackie Jamsheed: Wonderful food. You must experience the culinary wonder.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Chicken Kubideh, Kebab, Naan Parking space Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options Free parking lot, Paid parking lot, Free street parking, Paid street parking …More
Al Fall: Tried it today. The food was so so and the portion was small. Charged mandatory 20% tips in the bill. Such a rip off. Will never be back!
Matt Wilcox: Recommended dishes Beef Kubideh, Beef Barg, Persian Ice Cream, Fresh Tandoori Bread, HummusMore
Kayla Sadraie: Love this place! Best persian food in the area.
Mona Paak-zaad: We went to this restaurant with no high expectations on our end, and were delightfully surprised! The Persian Ice Cream was the best Persian I have ever had, in my entire life. Ghormeh Sabzi was delicious (this happened to be their stew of the day). I went with my mother and she has very high standards when it comes to Ghormeh Sabzi, and my Mother ABSOLUTELY LOVES the Cook's Ghormeh Sabzi and couldn't stop eating the extra Ghormeh Sabzi meal that we brought home that evening! For me the Persian Tea with Cardemon was the absolute Best Highlight. Try the Cream Puffs for desert they are also very very good! We had the past time! We went 10 years ago and did not like the ice cream, however now it has improved to the point of perfection. The dolmeh and Mirza Ghasemi Plate were definitely awesome as well! THIS IS THE BEST PERSIAN CUISINE I HAVE IN THE UNITED STATES, and I have been to other Areas of the USA as well, such as New York and Washington D.C. Please try this Persian restaurant over the other restaurants you will not regret it!
Shamjith Ahmed: The highlight of an almost 100$ lunch for 2 was the Persian bread and it definitely should not be the case. The beef kababs were not great. Chicken kababs were ok. Had to order yogurt dip extra to make it all slightly better.Service - when asked for the high chair we were pointed at the direction where it is at. Enough said. Please note 20 percent gratuity is included. Will not return or recommend.
Saeed Mehraban: I have been coming to this place for many years. Delicious and authentic Persian food and drinks with beautiful interior decorations.
Maria Yulla: Everything that they serve is heavenly delicious and presentable. Great food and Good Staff.
Ardalan Asgari: Food: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
Chem Eng: Besides the furniture, the food I think is kind of fake persian not authentic
Hemayat F. Nabiel: Question to the owner: you give Persian bread with Zeytoon at dine in, but you won’t for take out? That’s just one example of ignoring customers (it has also happened when we dine in). That you also add a service charge and you don’t inform the customer upon delivery of bill is downright dishonest.
joseph scott: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
Thomas R: Bonne nourriture
Amfar Arda: Please don't choose this restaurant based on their fancy pictures. I was really disappointed with everything that we ordered. The koobide kebab was so obvious that was really old and I think it was made mostly with every other ingredient than meat! It was so hard and not juicy at all!!! The chicken kebab texture was not good and the chicken kebab was just became shiny by melted butter to have a good look but the tast......!! We ordered chicken tender with a hope to have a nice appetizers! I think they kept this chicken in the freezer for a long time and it had a freezer smell even while it was hot!! The chocolate mousse cake and the persian ice cream were good. We paid 7.5 $ just for 3 small cup of tea! Tah Deeg was served with so called ghormesabzi! As an Iranian person who is in love with this stew, I should say that it was the worst ghormesabzi in my life! Also they charged us 15.20$ as a gratuity (18%). In totall, I would never recommend this restaurant at all.
Ben Ghamami: Highly recommended. Food is great.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Abbas Hashim: The food was good but the waitress. She has very bad attitude not with me. Also was couple of customer came in I have been there before and the waitress was very nice not this one though I recommended the place to Friend and they told me the waitress was rude with them.
صلوح الشيخ: صالح قاسم سلمان اليشخ
Maryam Seyfollahi: Considering the price, the service and the food quality were not good enough.

Sahel Restaurant & Lounge: what do users think?
Nathalie Bienaime: Where do I beginneed better waiters was not a welcoming atmosphereThe food was okay the oxtail and white rice the rice overcookedMy boyfriend had jerk chicken dry but tastyThe service was horrible
Rithy Eth: Always drove by this restaurant so thought to give it a try tonight. Ordered delivery and regretted it. Ordered only 2 items and they forgot one of the items. The order i did received was the jerk chicken but first bite it was cold. Also, only recieved 3 small pieces of chicken which for the price point in my opinion isn't worth it. Overall, a bad experience and won't be giving it a second chance.
Felicia Coutu: Worked there from January 25th to February 14th. For my first week(until the 31st) I had no numbers to clock in nor use for serving and using pos system, therfore all my credit tips went to someone else. I was serving, hosting, bartending(don't know anything about it) bussing and answering the phones. Bosses would stand around drinking and watch the chaos unfold as people waited extra long for uncooked food, horrible beverages and no bread or butter to eat while waiting. They also were only paying me $5.50 per hour even after explaining to them the law has changed to 6.75 for servers as of 1/25. Finally after my first paycheck for 5.50 a hour they told me they would fix it for next paycheck. They did but only to 6.50. They also aren't aware that the law states if my tips and min wage do not sum up to the minimum wage of $15 I am entitled to the larger one whichever that is. And I never made tips as the place is not busy. It is sad to see how many people run that place illegally and how many employees are not paid properly.
Bob Lala: Very much a mid spot. How are you in a college community but don’t throw +18 parties. I should not be partying next to someone 3x my age…
Betchela meronnis: I have mixed feelings about the food. I am from the Caribbean and I have so many friends who are Africans and I love to eat their jollof rice. So, I decided to buy it. The rice was really dried. It looked like it been cooked for a while. They just heat it up in the microwave.Dancing Jerk Chicken was great but spicy.Egusi Stew. I did not like the smell. The smell was so unpleasant. Again, maybe because of different cultures but I didn’t like it.Overall, there is room for improvement. Lowell is full of Africans. Having a restaurant with good food to represent them will be fantastic.
Kazi Tanzeem Shahid: We came to Lowell on short notice and were looking for a restaurant that was open in late night. We called and confirmed that the restaurant closes at 12, and the kitchen closes at 11.When we came after 10, we were told that the kitchen closed at 10, and the restaurant is closing. We tried to explain what we were told a short while ago, and they just shut the door on our faces. Apparently this early closing happens on Sundays, then why were we told of the later closing times since we called on a Sunday? This kind of miscommunication is beyond frustrating.EDIT: Regarding the owner's response, I can understand that the kitchen closes at 10, that's fine, but since we called just shortly before that, we should not have been told that the kitchen closes at 11.And my name isn't KariAlso, if anyone who thinks i'm being nitpicky here, we were on Lowell during a connecting flight, we literally were short on time and finding a place to eat that late at night was a more critical issue than usual.
Jennifer Boggie: The food is delicious and the atmosphere is friendly. My only complaint is the food takes a long time to come, but it's delicious and freshly prepared, and very flavorful. Great for family dinner and kid-friendly, but also an excellent date night atmosphere.
Shaleen Gutu: The food is terrible. The oxtail taste like it was drowned in ketchup. Egusi is not authentic. They have people who aren’t even versed in cooking ethnic food. Don’t even dare come at night the service is absolutely terrible the bartenders are great but they don’t have sufficient staff to help. Owners and management have no knowledge of their own bar. Waiting 20mins for a drink at a Lowell bar that’s not even near capacity is absolutely ridiculous. Mind you management called me a “b****” after voicing my frustrations. 1/10 I don’t recommend.
Keionia Jefferson: Good food had a great experience
Steven Gutierrez: This was the worst experience I ever been too been here couple times dj was not good security guard was super rude and ridiculous was ignoring me while I was talking would not recommend hope that lightskin security will not be working there no more super disrespectful to customers!!!
Natalia Gonzalez: Such bad customer service when coming in. The guy security is disrespectful and shouldn’t work there.
Becky Ajuonuma: Came here for a private group dinner and had a great experience. The owner and restaurant manager gave us a personal overview of the restaurant and it’s mission + all the events they put on to engage with the community.I particularly enjoyed the food (went for seconds because it was buffet style) I had the beef suya, stew, plantains, puff puff and couscous. There’s a restaurant at the top and a lounge + bar at the bottom for events.
Orianna Natsis: I decided to try Sahel after having walked past it dozens of times. After my experience there I can definitely say I will be coming back, as well as recommending it to others! The food was delicious- quickly prepared, fresh ingredients, and absolutely delicious! The staff was extremely friendly and polite. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. If you're looking for your new favorite dish, try the Dancing Jerk Chicken!
Giovannie Z: This is a terrific restaurant. The food is great especiallyas an African, you eat and feel like home. I wish I could give them 10 stars. Thank you for giving us a taste of homeFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Adebodilan: This is a terrific restaurant. The food is great especiallyas an African, you eat and feel like home. I wish I could give them 10 stars. Thank you for giving us taste of home.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
tunde adebimpe: Horrible experience! I don’t know how this reviews came to be and I’m curious to know. I ordered pounded yam and egusi. Pounded yam is the size of a tennis ball. My egusi soup had no meat!!! No meat!!!! I repeat, no meat!!!! I told the owner and the server and owner asked if I wanted to order meat separately. This bowl cost me $24, 50% more than I’d pay to eat same meal somewhere else. Yes, no meat! This reviews are from non-Africans. No wonder I don’t see a single African come in, and place is super empty. I will not be going back!!
Levitate Echo on PS5: Food was great and people were nice I recommend
Julissa Jiminian: I’ve always wanted to try egusi and fufu but I’ve never been able to find anywhere near. This local spot in Lowell has incredible food. I finally tried it today and let me tell you if you’ve been thinking about it just try it you won’t be disappointed. The staff was super friendly I will definitely come by again and have some drinks they close at 2am on Fridays!!
Joseph Hayes: Food and Service Was Great...Unfortunately There is A Junky Who Sits In A Lawn Chair in front of Restaurant Begging For Change, And His Friends either passed out...and/or doing drugs/drinking on the Side Of The Restaurant...its such a shame City of Lowell let people like this ruin this area...we surely will not be back to dine in...but will probably have it delivered...it was delicious...just a shame about who is hanging out in the front.
Kat Chantre: This is the second time I've tried to order from this restaurant and couldn't. First time I ordered online for their oxtail plate, after waiting a while for my order. Tracking the online order I noticed it was automatically changed to the jerk chicken dish which I did not want. I guess they ran out of oxtail, but I had to contact the delivery driver to not accept the order. Because first, I was not informed that they no longer had oxtail and if I would prefer a different dish. I let it go asked for a refund and left it at that. This time around the oxtail is no longer available for online order, I noticed it hasn't been since, so I decided to go with two other dishes. The jerk chicken and the red snapper. Online explains the fish can be "baked or fried" but I had no way to make that option to choose. And the picture online also shows veggies but nothing that guaranteed it to come with the plate other than rice. So I had questions, or tried to leave a special instructions, however online they were not receiving special or specific instructions, even if I was to write I have a shellfish allergy since I saw they also carry shrimp inhouse. So I called the restaurant for pickup order through the phone, with hope someone could answer all my questions because now no matter what online method I used like delivery, pick up or carry out I was faced with the same restrictions. I called around 2:30pm, a gentleman answered and said he would call me back in 5 mins but never did, I called many times after that and got no answer. Really sucks because all I see is great reviews and amazing pictures uploaded with reviews that make you want to try their food. But maybe the only way is to dine in. But I would hate to meet the same bad experience.
Wincia Emmanuel: Best restaurant ever they foods is very delicious

Molana Restaurant: what do users think?
Durre Kidwai: Agha Tehrani, the owner is so gracious and helpful. We had an event and got the food catered. It was delivered exactly when he said it will be delivered. It was so fresh .Food review:Everyone asked where we got it catered from and I jokingly said I made it. The food was amazing looking, absolutely delicious and fresh. This was the exact flavor one would get in Iran.I ordered Chelo kebob, jojeh kebob, albaloo polo and the amazing Gormeh sabzi.....it was so delicious. My guests took all the left overs and were obsessed with the food.I have found a place where the food is fresh, absolutely mouth watering and excellent experience. I highly recommend Molana restaurant if you want an authentic experience, delicious and fresh food. This is my permanent place to get food catered.Thank you Agha Tehrani.

Bayan Jaber: After having enjoyed their authentic cuisine, I decided to cater from Molana I'm celebration of my husband's birthday. Jeffrey Cummings: I love this place because the food is great and the vibe is family. My favorites are the hummus, mast khiar, chicken bars, ghorma sabzi and grimeh stew. Special
Han: Kind of weird to be offered water and then charged for it. Makes me a little uneasy about the state of their kitchen. The food was unmemorable and the whole place is pretty dirty. I would look elsewhere if I were you.
Morteza Maleki (US): The food was amazing and the best koobideh and chicken kabob ever ! Must try in Boston.
Mustaq Mohammad: Great food
Elijah Baldawe: The food was really good but the prices was outrageous, $168 for 3 people was beyond ridiculous, the charged a $30 mandatory tip and it excessively high, tips should be considered a courtesy not mandatory, we went to this restaurant 3 years ago and prices was reasonable, I won’t go there again and wouldn’t recommend it.Recommended dishes Khoresht Ghormeh Sabzi, Kabob-E-Soltani, Chicken Soltani …More

Golnar Fotouhi: I love this place. The best Persian restaurant in Massachusetts for sure. They have the best Gheyme❤️
Ali Bri: The food is delicious and the rice is the best compared to other places , the only thing I really didn’t like the waiter wasn’t happy at all. 😅
Abdul Abdulwaheed: I am a foodie. I can overlook anything and everything for a good Sultani. They have the best Sultani known to man. I have been eating here for 20 years now. Its the same chef. I watched his hair turn grey over the years. I am not sure how he makes it so awesome. Listen..... I am only judging the food.
Houra Sadeghi: My mother and I came here to have dinner and pick up some food for guests last night. As an Iranian family, I can assure you that you won't be disappointed if you come here.First, let's talk about the service. The waiter here is very dedicated and really is the depiction of Iranian hospitality. He refilled our waters, checked to see how we would like our kabobs cooked, etc.Second, let's talk about the food. My mom ordered kabob koobideh and really enjoyed it. Their kashke bademjan is also amazing and very well done with all the authentic toppings. Their maste moosir is great too!Long story short, come visit and support this budding restaurant. You'll also get to learn about Molana, the infamous 13th century poet also known as Rumi.

Azar Shahraz: The best Persian restaurant in Boston area.
Russell Izadi: The best Koobideh I had in the Boston area so far but not happy with the rice. I asked them to make it well-cooked but it seemed a little raw to me. I ordered the Albaloo polo but it was so were and running. The rice with the other order, a veggie plate, was fine.
Cristina Stan: Appetizers are great, entrees are good.Vegetarian options available.Vegetarian options: Most appetizers are vegetarian

Ron Ferguson: I love this place! The Milana Restaurant has my highest recommendation. I ate there while on vacation in Boston. I come from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, which is the home of some of the finest Persian restaurants outside of Iran. This means that I have exceptionally high standards. The food was delicious, the staff were professional and friendly, and the atmosphere was family-friendly. I will return whenever I am in the Boston area. I think it is the finest restaurant for this kind of food in this part of the United States. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. The staff are terrific. I wish I was there right now. It is worth the trip! I am looking forward to eating there again.

Amaury Baez: My only problem with this place is that i’m only allowed to give it 5 stars, when i would love to give it 10 stars! The food was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the warmest Iranian people we’ve met so far, and during the time we spent waiting for our food we were treated like family! I love this place. I will return from Vermont just to come back here. I wish we lived closer! Next time we are a 1-2 hour drive from here, we’re coming back for more!
Therese Ton: I had a truly wonderful experience catering experience from Roksana's for a company lunch celebrating Persian New Year. I called directly to consult what I should order for a party of 50 for Noruz. The owner suggested an array of beef koobideh, chicken kebab, grilled vegetables, saffron rice, mast-o-khiar (yogurt sauce with cucumbers, mint, salt, and pepper), and shiraz salad (chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion salad). The prices were so reasonably priced and the portions generous. The food quality is high and all of my co-workers gave raving reviews of how delicious and well-seasoned each dish was. Even the pickiest co-workers enjoyed the meal! I also bought a package of baklava and chickpea cookies which topped off our company lunch.Aside from the excellent food, the service from Roksana's exuded warmth, kindness, and true hospitality. The staff was so welcoming and extra accommodating. I would have returned just because of the service.I hope Roksana's continues to succeed and hope everyone gets the chance to dine there.
Matthew Overlin: Very good chicken koubideh and especially good beef koubideh. The guy in charge was very friendly.
Fara Souls: Best persian restaurant in Boston they have the best koodieh it literally melts in your mouth and the service was amazing. Love the vibe of the place they have a supermarket in it! I really wish they had seating area to enjoy the food warm even though everything we ordered was so delicious will definitely try more dishes. I wish them all the best and i wish if they will deliver to Boston area 😍
Stefan Faville: The food is a average. I had the stews both times and they were too oily and lacked flavor. Also, a bit pricey for the portion. Good service

mort farimani: We were looking for persian resturant near Boston. The food was less than average. The ground beef tasted and smelled old. The rice smelled burnt and with smell of old oil. So, over $60 in the trash. They really need to learn how to cook, stop using old oil and meat, or get out of food business. I guess we will move on to try another place.

Juan Lopez: I had a fantastic meal and experience at Sina's today. Ali, owner and head chef mentioned the beef is Halal and gave me a welcomed education on what that meant. I asked him to suggest what I should eat and he recommended the Beef Koobideh which is an incredibly tender, juicy and flavorful combination of halal beef and lamb. Served with a pile of saffron spiced rice and 2 stewed tomatoes the meal was delicious and plentiful. He also brought me a portion of "burnt" rice which was crunchy and slightly sweet. Highly recommend and will return with my wife.
Rick Peralta: This family business is run by a father daughter team. The kabobs, are carefully prepared and nicely presentedIf looking for something a little different, this is a good choice.
zahra rajabi: Best kabab house in Boston. I love kabab and I tried every where at MA but I couldn’t find better than this. Its beautiful and warm place then it’s good place for party too I am planning for it yeyyyy
Khadija Mukhtar: The atmosphere, cleanliness, food and service was 5 star. The owner was phenomenal and very friendly. The food taste fresh and very authentic. My husband kids and I absolutely enjoyed the experience here and would recommend it to anyone wanting authentic Persian food.
Maggie Shaffer: Walked into an empty restaurant, beautiful but empty restaurant on a sat night. Told not to sit at the high top, ended up sitting at a table made for 4. It was just Ali, the owner and one guy on the line. Ran out of both beers we ordered and substituted both with something completely different. The food was definitely not worth the price but after talking to Ali, the owner, it sounds like they have quite a hefty monthly payment on the restaurant. The whole restaurant was created and dedicated to his son Sine who tragically lost his life. Sadly, around 7pm, people started to arrive and that’s when Ali flipped the sign on the door to close. I’m not quite sure how this restaurant will survive especially if you can’t handle more than one table, if you run out of beer, if you charge for pita etc etc. I want this place to be successful so we will definitely come back and hopefully they’ll have more of that delicious German beer.
tooba iqbal: Had amazing experience food was so good and delicious up to the mark! Portion size was so good.
Zahraa W. Jassim: Very tasty fresh food, I would recommend, went there three times!Ali is very nice and the place is really cleanThe food is really well made
Rojin Jajan: Not only is the food absolutely delicious, the owner is the most hard working and whole hearted man. Definitely worth the drive and will be back soon!
Federico: The most authentic cuisine, by the most authentic owner I have ever met. We tried new dishes we never tried before and loved then all. The owner dedicated this restaurant to Sina, his son, rest in peace.
Wi Bada: Vegetarian options: Falafel plate and eggplant dip with pita bread amongst the best in MA. The owner is friendly and kind. Very welcoming and the food is gourmet Persian food. The tea with baklava is a must😋
sara abbaspour: Great food!

Debra Menton: Delicious Persian food and great service.
Olga Karlik: It was our first time getting food at Vanak. Very authentic and friendly cafe. Food was amazing. We got chicken and beef , both were very tasty. Not sure if one of the guys was the owner or a manager, but he gave my kids some candy. So sweet of him and of course my kiddos loved every second of it.Recommended this place to our neighbors. And would recommend to anyone else.Nothing bad to say about our experience. I would definitely come back for a takeout again or stay to dine in.

Michael Hugo: Service was ultra friendly, very impressed by how much pride the management has in their team. And the food was superb! Such a wonderful place!Vegetarian options: There were so many Mediterranean vegetarian options that I ended up with the Lamb shank! As with many middle eastern restaurants, the vegetarian options were plentiful and what we did have was delicious and prepared perfectly.

Colin Minchom: Just turned up on a Saturday 12:30pm, and got a table for two immediately. Superlative middle eastern food, with some great differences in flavors from others we have had in the past. The service was great and the atmosphere casual.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options, mainly in the appetizers which can be made into a meal. Many vegan options too.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of gluten free options.
N G: First time diners after reading the reviews we were looking forward to dining here and it did not disappoint us. App's we had were the Kashk Bademjun (roasted eggplant drizzled with fried mint and whey) and Hummous were very fresh and delicious -- highly recommended. I also recommend the epicurean Shirazi salad was diced perfectly and excellent. We had the juicy and fresh Koobideh beef kabab served with a pile of saffron rice and roasted onion and tomato, and the Ghormeh Sabzi as part of our main courses. Service was attentive and super friendly. Busy on a Saturday as expected for such an excellent place but we got in and out in an hour without a reservation.Vegetarian options: Our apps were all vegetarian and there were more on the menu. Good options available.Parking: Nice to have parking in the rear of the restaurant.
Greg Wing: Excellent food and service
Farid Noori: The food is amazing, good vibes, and friendly staff! Recommend the saffron ice creamRecommended dishes Kebab, Ghormeh Sabzi, Chicken Koobideh …More
Rayhana R: I am very disappointed. I won't be returning or recommending this place to others:- Chicken Joje kabab tasted turmeric- Rice was raw (they did not let the rice boil enough and they drained it while it was still firm) برنج زنده بود- Koobideh kabab did not taste persian typical Koobideh. They have added a ratio of Soy ingredient. They might comment on this post and refuse this, but feel free to search كباب با سويا on Google and you see what I am talking about.- Half grilled tomato was a shame. I wonder if tried to save other half for other plate?Overpriced and low quality. I wish I could give 0 star.
Alexandra Nelson: Had such an incredible meal and everyone working here was so kind. Highly recommend.
