Lowell Humane Society: what do users think?
Pauline Hulsbosch: We adopted our little Ozzy from the Lowell Humane Society. He is a real bundle of love. We were very well received by the adoption center, we were given a lot of information about him, his diet, his habits, etc. We left with a bag of food, treats, a carrier and his favorite toys. We are very happy that Ozzy has joined our family, a daily happiness!!
Mamadukez zZ: I will never go there again they were so insulting and acted like they didn't want the animal rescued ! Last one I got there many years ago they told me he had kennel cough and he had asthma ? I thought they had to be checked out by a vet before getting adopted ? Recently went there to get a pet and like I said never again just rude , insulting and had to say no nevermind . I felt bad for the animal but spending my money and time I didn't need the rudeness ! Since then I have adopted an animal that I wanted and was a smooth and pleasant adoption but not from the lowell humane society ... I hate leaving a review like this but I just did not understand why they were like that and I cannot be the only one ?
Elizabeth Morel Coronel: My cat 🐈 got the rabies vaccine for just $20 and the microchip $20 too, everyone there was very friendly and nice to pets.
Linda Littlefield: The staff of the Humane Society have a wonderful ability to find the right pet for you. Their love of the animals in their care shines thru by the dedication they have to insuring the animals go to just the right home. I now have a cat who is just right for the natural rhythm of my home and the other animals in it.
Brenna Walsh: If you're looking for a new addition for your home, the humane society is amazing. All the kitties I was inquiring about were spoken for so after a few weeks the shelter reached out to us about Bill and said he'd be a good match. We've had him for almost a year and he's my perfect little man and I could not be happier, thank you so much for all you do!
John Fahey jr.: Great place
Audrey Pouliot: All of the people at the lowell humane society are absolutely amazing. Everyone goes above and beyond in so many aspects to make sure the animals are not only taken care of when with them at the humane society but, they make sure the animals will be taken care of and loved and adopted out to families who will love and cherish them the way they should have been all along.
Camylle Johnson: We adopted Crypto today from Lowell Humane Society and had such a pleasant experience! I knew as soon as I saw his picture that he’d be perfect for our family. We can’t wait to introduce him to the cat in a few weeks once he’s acclimated, we think they’re going to get along just fine 💛. A big shout out to Sara, Nate, and rest of the Lowell Humane Society staff; especially the Saturday morning crew for the parking lot fiasco! Thank you for letting us be Crypto’s Furever home 🏡
June Cleaver: Donated diapers theyare so good
Debra Seamans: I have my two kittens nails trimmed by the very experienced staff. Always pleasant and professional. We enjoy visiting with all the animals waiting for adoption. If only we could bring home a few more.
Anne Gurley: I adopted 3 parakeets. All bros. and sisters. 1 male 2 female. Great health beautiful and happy. Ioved the Lowell Humane. The staff was very informative and very nice. I recommend this Humane Society.
Ellie Jones: I feel it should be known, that Crystal (the owner) decided it was okay to give a customer/clients personal contact information to another customer/client without approval or even asking for permission to do so. Quite an alarming, and concerning experience in my opinion. That being said, please be cautious of sharing any personal information with this woman.
Steven Flynn: Love the work they do
Cooper Ferrari: No greetings or attempts to show the animals. A lot of volunteers who don’t know much about the animals and actively avoid you. They give you weird looks and don’t seem like they want you to be there. The volunteers and workers are not emotionally mature enough to let the animals find better homes as they provide little to no help in actually adopting these animals.
Ron Rcgtiger: Nice place, nice people
mercy mmee: Great staff, really care about what they do.
Ne Boats: Rude
Michelle A: My husband daughter and I went here to adopt a kitten,we ended up getting 2 kittens brother and sister. The lady that took care of us was wonderful! Thanks and we are very happy with our new additions to our family..
Michaela Klofac: Great place that really cares about the well-being of the animals.
Carrie Perry: Love ❤️ All the Animals
Tommy Greenberg: The best and most compassionate people that work there

Ruff Tales Rescue: what do users think?
Taylor Sassu: I can’t say enough nice things about Ruff Tales Rescue. Their team is so kind, supportive, and available at every step of the process. They provided me with all the resources and support we needed to feel prepared to bring our new dog, Marley, into our home. If I could adopt with them over and over again I would! But I think we’ll stick with one dog for now :) thank you Ruff Tales!
Kyle W.: I attempted to adopt a pup from RTR and my experience was AWFUL. I applied for a specific dog, due to having compatibility concerns with other animals in the house. I went through their process, where I had to answer the same questions multiple times (both on the application, then again during the video "visit"), and eventually we were told we were approved, and that we were second on the list for the dog we hoped for. This implied to me that we were likely to wind up with her as it didn't appear that the other adopter was approved and just waiting for her to visit them. However, the fact is that they had another adopter ready and approved for her and simply were stringing us along which we only discovered when we sent a follow up email to see how things were going. When I emailed them to reply and explain my frustration the individual's reply was both rude, and gaslighting. I am beyond disappointed as I was looking so forward to the pup joining our family and instead all I have is shattered hopes, and a series of manipulative emails from a "rescue" that never had any intentions but stringing us along and trying to push us into taking an animal that would not have fit our family.
trisha fisha: I am very disappointed 😞 the address for the rescue is really a ups store I an currently looking for a chiwawa I will look some where else not Craig's list some laby sold a guy a chiwawa puppy with parvoI have no car with each disappointmentI'm getting depressed 😔 besides that I'm cancer patient so my life looks alone abd bleek I wana be happy not sad
Jonathan Barron: for this location will be a five star if I call and find out that that I still don’t have a bill with them I had brought a cat along time ago called nova they were going to give it a shot and then they tell me that I had to pay for it when I told them the cat was passed down to me with only three legs the four leg was amputated and still trying to heal and I had brought the cat to them to try to treat it they try to charge me I told him I was not paying because that’s not fair I couldn’t keep the cat because the injuries would not be treated the way it should’ve been treated here for free when you see an animal that hurt they try to charge me $6000 or at least $3000 I forgot how long ago it was but it still was a lot of money that I was not going to pay for for a cat I just got two days before I went there this was many years ago but I do remember the location it’s OK because I did bring the animal to MSPCA in Methuen they took the cat in and said they would treat the cats leg after the amputated on the injured part that was contaminated up at leg they confirm that they amputation and surgery was a success to comfort my needs of knowing they also mentioned that there was a family that was interested on heaven three legged cat and the owners took the cat with a whole bunch of donations as well to the location I know kind a crazy story but that three Legget cat was gifted to live my photo of the three like cat nova is in a Sim card put away I don’t currently have it on the phone if I do find it I will come back to this page and add to the post if I don’t I apologize
Joseph Amaral Jr: Rough tails rescue is a very professional kind and caring place they found us our lab Pitbull mix named Zeus who is excellent he's a gem in every way they were professional they were thorough and they were prompt on everything they had to do and kept their word recommend them to everybody

MSPCA at Nevins Farm: what do users think?
Xander plays And tricks: I was trying to get a cat and find a perfect match and it need something done and can’t get a adopted that day and they said “If you are not adopting today, you don’t need”.
phat doobie: very helpful volunteers and beautifully animals all very well taken care of. i adopted two parakeets today and they’re lovely.
monique redmond: Spent an hour+ on 3 different days at Nevins (and Salem) and still couldn't leave with a dog. I'm not sure they actually want to place dogs in homes. Make sure you have lots of time, an extra carrier, extra people in the car, and an ideal situation if you want to avoid this heartbreak.
Matrix Knight: Been going for years proces went up alot but still a great place
Madelyn Williams: I met this beautiful sweet girl today and brought her to her new home:) thank you so much to the amazing staff for introducing me to my new best friend:)
Chris Duerr: Compassionate and excellent care!
Dee Torres: The staff was very friendly annd you can just tell how compassionate the staff is towards the animals and animal owners. Everyone was just so wonderful. What I appreciated most about Angell is the caring and friendly staff.
Genesis Cintron: Excellence service...had a scare with our 6 month old kitten n they helped with everything we needed and more highly recommend
Elena Sachs: I adopted the sweetest 8 yr.old boy about 2 weeks ago.He is so affectionate and has been well taken care of by Nevins Farm.i am so grateful.
Siobhan Cintron: Needed to come her for an emergency surgery for my kitten and everyone was so kind that I met. I was given instructions that were DETAILED for after care and also when I had a question someone called me back and reassured me of everything
Teta Monroe: This place is awesome. The staff are wonderful, I took my guinea pigs for surrender due relocating, and the staff made the process easy and effortless.
Jennie Twombly: Want to thank the Nevins farm staff you were all so wonderful kind thoughtful caring to my cat Ollie not to mention how great you all were to me during this difficult time. Thankyou ❤️
Kyle Oldakowski: Staffing has become very rude. Use to be nice, but has changed over the last few years
Leanne Young: I’ve been adopting from here since I was a kid. Well kept and staff is fantastic!
Matt Olivier: Horrible! They ONLY offer services (according to their website) for low income people. I'm wealthy and need services for my cat. I have no problem paying. I just don't know where to go and MSPCA is no help at all. They could have received possibly tens of thousands in donations from me. Now I'm actively working so that MSPCA loses money. I'm filing a lawsuit right now just so MSPCA will have to lose money in legal fees to defend themselves. They will win, but will have to spend a lot of money on lawyers for defense. Get your act together MSPCA. Not everybody is poor like the MSPCA workers.
Kate Clark: Clean facility, lots of animals being adopted. We got to hang out in a room with a couple senior cats. Great experience.
Emily Boulger: I had such a great experience adopting two of the sweetest turkeys from them. It is clear that they cared and loved these animals so much! Every person ai met there were so knowledgeable and friendly.
Celena Mai: I’ve adopted 2 cats from this location before and I was looking to adopt another one today, but never in my life have I experienced racism like this! Today I was profiled by an old woman with short light grey-ish hair (I was too stunned to even look for her name tag). When she approached me I was petting a kitten with an “Adoption Pending” sign, but I didn’t know that we couldn’t pet those cats so the woman YELLED at me when there was no way I would’ve known that I wasn’t allowed to (she could’ve told me politely). Then she started asking me yes or no questions about adopting, she once again yelled at me for “not answering properly” when the only answers I could give were yes or no. That was when I realized she had profiled me for being young and asian. When I told her I was just going to leave, she happily moved on to the next person and gave such a different energy to that person who was white. At this rate, none of the pets will be adopted if this “Karen” isn’t trained properly.
Rebecca Jones-Ball: The Farm is a wonderful example of how a shelter can look and run when properly supported. We've adopted parakeets from here twice, and the facility is clean and very nicely equipped.
Ashley Brown: Love it. Adopted several of my animals there
Sharon Lamontagne: Excellent!

Humane Society for Greater Nashua: what do users think?
Keith Bowman: I used The Humane Society for their spay/neuter clinic. I dropped my two cats off in the morning, and the person at the desk was very polite and thorough. They asked me to come back at 2:30 that afternoon to pick up the girls. Everything went very well, and they were done right at the time they said they would be. The cats are recovering well, and I would certainly recommend the service to anybody.
Lou F.: Worst place for neutering.
Theresa Balentine: Very caring staff and willing to help. They helped me with a pet.
Linda C: I just donate stuff to the animal shelter
Bobby Holder: Had a wonderful experience visiting the shelter a few times and eventually adopting my pup through them! A lot of smiling faces and everyone was friendly, helpful and just wanted what's best for the dogs. A+
Julia Hundley: Every cat here they showed us was sick in some way, they couldn't tell us why or how and used the exuse of "our vet doesn't have the equipment they need" and after seeing a few cats we started to wonder if they even had a vet on site
Shelby Catherine: Have 2 fur babies from here whome I love dearly 😍😍
Mary Cuddy: Adopted my forever fur baby
Angelique Thorpe: Great caring staff! They took care of my fur baby like he was one of their own. Great experience!!
Florence Elizabeth: I had to put my dog down here and the people who helped were very kind and comforting. It's never easy losing a pet, and they made the process easier, especially the one with the nose piercing (unfortunately I did not get their name).
Jonathan Bell: Apparently you can not adopt a 1 year old dog if you work third shift 3 days a week. Even if you have multiple people in the house who will be home in the home during those three nights. I was told that the difference between night shift and day shift is: day shift people can bring their dogs to day care but I’m curious out of everyone that owns a 1 year old dog the percentage of people who bring them to a doggy day care during the day. My guess is very small percentage. The manager discriminates people who work third shift even if you have family to help take care of the dog that lives in the house. Probably should just put that on the web page… wasted two trips because of it. Also, I rescued a dog about 18 years ago she lived 14 years and we loved her very much until she passed 4 years ago, so it’s not like we don’t know how to care for a dog.Went to another shelter and was actually treated with respect. Save a trip and go some place else unless you work first shift.
Linda Parmenter: First of all i had to sign a waiver to look at cats. Then i was told i had to wait a half hour to look at the cats. Then i was told they were scared and they were covered. Then i was told they were bonded and there was only three of them to look at.Basically i was discouraged from looking for a cat. We left. No wonder why there are so many cats in shelters. Make it incredibly difficult to adopt. Ridiculous.
Missy Fortin: I have gone here for a few year's to get supplies for my 2 cat's one that is part siamese & 1 that's a Russian blue siamese. My cat that's part siamese hates dark colored litter & hates tuna(believe it or not, even if it's mixed with other thing's 🤷‍♀️)& both cats hate/allergic to duck & they have always been so understanding which is awesome & just a few weeks ago I went there & I hate someone carry everything for me to my caseworkers car. I highly recommend this place especially if you're looking to adopt there's soo many animals that need new homes & if I could bring them all home I definitely would lol
Victor Spennato: I thought they were excellent until I found out that if something is wrong or the cat gets sick onky a month or 2 after they are held irresponsible....another words tough luck
Kathy Gardner: Excellent workers Dr Kelly is the best veterinarian good communication and listen explains things
Michelle Jamieson: I adopted Charlotte yesterday an she is doing really well her , she was a little hesitant on going in house but , when she got in she was so happy made herself right at home and loves everything we did for her and gave her . I think she is definitely very happy loving and a cuddler , she fits right in , love this sweet girlGREAT NEWS Charolette is such a Beautiful addition to the family so loving , that we moved to South Carolina and felt she needed a Brother so we got her one yesterday at Myrtle Beach and they are different dogs but Same Personality she loves him an excepted him very well and he loves her just as much … all I can say is Adopt they are the most loving dogs , with lots of love we lucked out finding the perfect match
Mark Restuccia: I adopted my dog, Sophie, here last June. Since I adopted her last year, she has really come out of her shell, slowly but steadily. The process to see the animals was smooth (even during COVID-19) and everything was clearly explained to me by the Humane Society: fees, expectations, what they need, and so on.When I visited and decided on a dog, the volunteers were all very friendly and very understanding when we needed to have the other family members meet the dog on short notice so we would know whether she would be a good fit. The fact such a shy/nervous dog clearly liked the volunteers was very assuring; I knew the people at the Humane Society genuinely care about the wellbeing of the animals and trusted their judgement when they asked me questions about my experience with anxious dogs, gave me information, made suggestions of care after adoption and so on. I'm glad I was able to give an anxious dog new home! And I'm glad that they were able to provide such helpful information to both me and my family members with regards to caring for an anxious dog and what we could all do to help her feel more comfortable at home.
Amanda Sirois: The woman that showed me the available dogs to adopt literally took 5 min with me. Adopting a dog is a huge commitment and any questions I had, she was very short with me. I definitely will not be getting a pup here.
Vinny M: I adopted my first pet there a few weeks back. Staff were very friendly and helpful, they gave me good advice and helped me with everything I needed for my pet. The building was clean and did not even have that 'animal' smell to it. The adoption process was smooth and honestly pretty inexpensive. 10/10 I recommend.
Natural Nashuan: We appreciate the hard work of everyone at the Humane Society. They are adopting out many animals right now due to high demand. Our adoption counselor emphasized the need for the best match for the people, home, and animals to reduce the number of returned animals. He patiently spent the time we needed with the dogs. We adopted Wendy ( a homeless Arkansas dog) and she is very happy and excited to have a home. Thank you!
dc herps: Amazing service and great friendly people
