Windham Pilates Studio: what do users think?
Bill Grube: I have been a regular at Windham Pilates for over 10 years. I’ve had some back issues and find that the Pilates and TRX workouts keep me in shape for all my outdoor activities. Susan is phenomenal at keeping everyone on track in terms of offering the latest equipment and techniques, keeping us all motivated, and accommodating busy schedules. Thank you, Susan, and Windham Pilates!
Robin Doherty: Windham Pilates has made a positive change in my life. Since attending Stott Reformer Pilates classes i have gained improvement in my muscle tone, posture and alignment. The climate of the studio is welcoming, warm and friendly. The owner Susan is very knowledgeable about health and fitness as are all the instructors. Susan makes sure each member is treated as an individual with attention and modifications as needed. All classes are always different , safe and challenging. The size of the classes are small so each member can work at their own level. There are a variety of classes offered including Stott’s Reformer Pilates, various other Pilates classes, Yoga Barre and TRX. All instructors treat each member as an individual and knowledge about their member’s individual needs. I highly recommend Windham Pilates. I am sure you would find the studio a great place to workout.
Tony Pfeiffer: I've been taking reformer classes for over a year now and I'm still enjoying it as much as ever. I started taking classes to help reduce injuries and improve my overall fitness for both soccer and golf. I had read that Tom Brady took Pilates for the increased flexibility and strength, so I figured if it worked for him, it would work for me…and it did! While I'm not moving to Tampa Bay anytime soon, I'm confident that I won't have to step back from the sports and lifestyle I enjoy thanks to training twice a week at Windham Pilates. I highly recommend this studio for their exceptional knowledge, training and the other members that keep classes fun and challenging.
Roseanne Hall: I've been going to Windham Pilates Studio for 5+ years. The instructors are wonderful and give options to fit your goals. They make it fun and not work.
Amber DiPrima: I have been going to Windham Pilates for a couple years now and it is always a great experience! I love the yoga classes they offer, because of how relaxed I feel afterwards! All the instructors I’ve met are so welcoming and accommodating! Windham Pilates has so many class options to fit your needs and schedule! I definitely recommend trying this place out, whether you want to unwind with yoga or pump it up with a body shred class!
Riley McInnis: The best part about this studio is its welcoming and warm environment. The instructors are all so amazing and keep me motivated throughout every class!

The Core of Wellness - Boston North: what do users think?
Mary Ducharme: Getting back in shape using the pilates reformer. This is a great work out! Diane really knows her stuff and pays attention to each clients needs.
Christa Basso: The Core of Wellness Boston North is the place to be! The classes are small and the personal attention is huge. The instructors take the time to ensure you are performing each exercise correctly so you get the most out of your workout. They are very hands on and encourage you to be your best. I have been with CoWBN for three years and that is a testament to how much I love it!
Robin Petrillo: Always good
Andrea Stern: Fantastic experience! Diane is a knowledgeable and experienced instructor, who is thoroughly invested into the well being of all of her clients. The positive impact of the Pilates Reformer classes is amazing. I highly recommend Core of Wellness to everyone.
Donna Daddario: Small group classes are fabulous. Diane is great teacher who ensures all her clients are using the proper form to improve their health and well being. Great class schedule for the working crowd.
lexxii808: The class really targets your lower back and improves your posture.
Theresa DeNutte: Diane is VERY knowledgeable and professional in class. She explains what parts of the body we are working and why. The atmosphere is very calming and soothing and she really cares for our well-being. She is a gem in this harried life we all seem to get caught up in.

Passport Pilates: what do users think?
Susan Ellis: I have been attending classes at Passport Pilates for 6 months now. My body has taken on a new shape and my golf game has improved incredibly. Pilates is definitely one of the best workouts I have ever done and Passport is the place to go. Kathy runs a great program. She and her staff make the workout tough but fun. I wish I had found them three years ago when I moved to the area.Susan
Catherine Martin: Kathy & Mary Beth provide individualized, flexible, creative, client focused classes in at most a small group & always a personable setting. They are experienced & expert at helping clients of varying ages & fitness to improve their health and fitness. As a pilates enthusiast for nearly10 years I long ago stopped experiencing debilitating low back spasms. As a client of Passport Pilates twice weekly, most weeks, for the past 2 years, I have more energy after coming to a class. I have improved my strength, flexibility and sense of self. So glad I found Passport Pilates!
susan sabia: Walking in to Passport Pilates in 2016, one year before hip-replacement surgery was the smartest thing I ever did. I knew NOTHING about Pilates, and with Kathy and Marybeth's expert guidance, welcoming nature, humor, and warmth, within days I was doing things I didn't think possible. My hip surgery was successful, largely because I was in such great shape after a year of Pilates. My recovery was quick, and I experienced very little pain because I was able to do more in the days and weeks right after surgery.Passport Pilates is a great investment in yourself, in your health, and in your future. And having instructors that make you laugh as much as they make you work is a great gift!
Jill Hatheway: I LOVE Passport Pilates!!! The small studio feel, the professional staff and the flexibility of two locations had me hooked from day one. I've learned how to make my workouts my own. Take ownership and push myself. Kathy and her staff have given me the courage and confidence to become my best fit self, all while basically laying down! Fitness doesn't get any better than this.
Jeffrey Litch: What an amazing difference to my overall health when pilates strengthened my core. Also no more back pain and plantar fasciitis. There are rowing and TRX classes for a cardio workout also. At Passport Pilates, you get a great workout with a friendly atmosphere. The staff is very attentive and caring.
Anissa Arloro: I love Passport Pilates, been a member for three years! The owner and staff are truly knowledgeable about Pilates and take the time to explain, cue and pay individual attention in their small class sizes. True Pilates really does transform your body, and this studio works hard to consistently challenge the client with their workout. Studio is beautiful, staff is professional. Membership well worth it!
Margaret Pothier: After years of running as my primary form of consistent exercise, with some mat Pilates classes at times, about 5 years ago a friend recommended Pilates on the Reformer at Passport Pilates. I immediately found Pilates helped me with all other exercise, such as cross-country and downhill skiing, yoga, running, and my posture, core and back strength. I commit to a schedule of 2 sessions a week, easily managed online. I'm always learning, challenged, and seeing results from the classes I take at Passport Pilates and motivated to return each week. The instructors are challenging, knowledgeable, and well trained. Classes start and end on time without any distractions during class, yet there is a personal instructional approach to each client. Classes are limited to 8 people with the instructor leading the class and moving among the students. The exercises on the Reformer are small, challenging movements that work your whole body. I constantly tout the benefits of Pilates and the wonderful experience and benefits I get at Passport Pilates.
Kathleen Driscoll: I have been a member of Passport Pilates since 2009. The low impact workout on the reformer was just what I needed after my back surgery. The knowledgeable and friendly instructors helped build by core, balance and endurance with various routines. Each class includes stretching, arm and leg work, core challenges and posture building exercise. You would be amazed what a Pilates workout can do for your overall well being!
Susan Kuhn: Staying active and healthy have always been an important part of my life. When I discovered Passport Pilates, I found a way to enhance my fitness and health goals in a fun and effective way! Great instructors, personal attention, a variety of classes, and a welcoming Studio, are all part of the mix that makes Pilates and this Studio a great fit for my goals. Aging well and staying fit can be fun and it's even more enjoyable when you make great friends who share your fitness goals! Over the past three years at Passport Pilates, I have met a lot of wonderful people, had a lot of laughs, toned, increased my core strength and balance and improved my overall well-being!
Lisa Chu: I have been a member for a couple of years at Passport Pilates and I have enjoyed my time here. Kathy (the owner) is open to hear your suggestions. The entire teaching staff is patient and extremely nice. This is a great place for everyone from beginner to expert Pilates practitioners.
Christine Giarrosso: I didn't think Pilates was going to be all that much of a workout... Ha! I was wrong. The instructors have been giving me great workouts a few times a week and I'm amazed by the progress. I feel stronger and more flexible and have less chronic pain since I began working out here in 2014. All of the instructors are encouraging, positive, thoughtful and flexible. The studio has a wonderful feel and energy.
Ellen Miller: I have spent 40+ years trying to protect my back from injury and spasms, even though I was always very physically fit. I've had ruptured discs more than once. I even ruptured 5 at one time. I've seen physical therapists, chiropractors, and orthopedic doctors. I've even done mat pilates in the past, but nothing has stabilized my back like the reformer classes at Passport Pilates. I still have a curve in my back, but it is not as severe as it was 2 1/2 years ago when I began. I can't say enough about how this has changed my life. The instructors are awesome. Very careful to make sure you are executing correctly, and very encouraging. I am 60+ years old and feel stronger now than I did 25 years ago. Love this place!
William Swiggart: Excellent, healthy exercise. Pleasant facility and instruction with many Reformer machines.

She tailors the classes to her students and provides opportunities to progress without pressure. If you've thought about Pilates but haven't given it a try yet, I would definitely recommend these classes!

With her help, I have see major improvements in my flexibility, range of motion and core strength. Would highly recommend. Cheryl F

Live Long Pilates: what do users think?
RebeccaGChase: I've taken Pilates with lots of wonderful teachers, but Rachel is unique. It isn't just that she is knowledgeable, but also that she is so strategic. I came to her with many problems, and felt comfortable about completely trusting her to find solutions. She developed a plan that addressed my needs, and I experienced clear, measurable progress. What a joyful experience!
Katie Thomas: This is my favorite pilates studio of all time!Rachel and her talented staff are extremely attentive to each student's needs, which allows you to get the most out of your workout!I first got into pilates 3 years ago because of the recommendation from my spine surgeon. After 3 years of practice, I am the strongest I have ever been in my life before. (Fun fact: It has even made me a better swimmer!)Live Long Pilates helped me stay physically strong and mentally balanced all throughout my pregnancy (up through 39 weeks!). People would ask me how I was feeling, how I was managing with my back problems - and I would reply that I felt lucky that things were going so well. The truth is I consider myself very fortunate to have found such an amazing studio!
Diana Dwyer-Bergeron: BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!
Pauline Whalley: I've be taking Pilates classes from Rachel the owner since Sep 2014 and I absolutely love it. From group reformer classes to private sessions on the tower and chair she is totally adept at explaining the equipment and the specific muscle groups you are working. Pilates is a very mindful workout and her cues for all the exercises are spot on, you actually visualize what she is saying to do. The benefits from Pilates are endless; you feel great, your core muscles are strengthened shrinking your waistline, you obtain long lean leg muscles and you realize all your hard work is giving you your most optimum body. I have been taking Pilates for over 12 years and Rachel is truly one of the best instructors I have had in my Pilates journey. All of Rachel's classes are very challenging whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced. She can modify all exercises to meet your needs, can even enhance them with the use of hand weights and other small equipment. I recently had rotator cuff surgery and when I came back to class she was extremely tuned in to modifying all arm and shoulder exercises for me. The studio is very inviting, bright and spacious. I highly recommend you give Live Long Pilates a try, it's a tremendous way to stay in shape for life.
Christine Wakim: I had the pleasure of taking the group reformer class with the owner, Rachel, on a wintry Saturday morning. The reformer equipment is something that requires some description to use, and Rachel is extremely adept (and funny!) at explaining the goal of each exercise, how to use the equipment, and can also make modifications to the exercised tailored specifically to your need at the time.During this particular class, I was nursing an Achilles strain, and not only did Rachel provide alternate exercises to cater to my injury, she incorporated exercises that helped stretch and felt great! As if that wasn't good enough, since Rachel knows I am athletic, she also modified and brought up weights for exercises to ensure that I got a workout. Boy, did I get a workout! The studio itself is very clean, bright, and very inviting. Plenty of parking and easy to find.Overall, absolutely fantastic experience!
Glenn Card: This studio is a great place to get in shape and have a fun time doing so. The studio is a beautiful space and the instruction is excellent! I highly recommend this studio to people of all athletic levels. Pilates is one of those exercises that almost anybody of any age can do.

Club Pilates: what do users think?
Crystal Murphy: This studio is wonderful! I have been taking the Reformer class with Maria and cannot recommend her enough. She is extremely knowledgeable and leads a safe yet challenging class. I have a few old sports injuries that I’ve been working through and I never feel in this class that I’m at risk of aggravating those injuries. In fact, just the opposite. I can feel that I’m gaining strength in those areas in a safe and effective manner.
Sandra Lilian: Club Pilates in North Andover is a amazing! Excellent instructors, great classes and nice members. The instructors keep the classes fresh and challenging while always offering modifications where needed. The desk staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The owner, Laura who is also an instructor is a great lady. I highly recommend Club Pilates ,North Andover
Dolores Tighe: Love these classes, instructors & staff. Best thing I have done for myself in years.
L G: I absolutely love Pilaties. This studio is awesome. Laura has an amazing team and are so knowledgeable and helpful. ❤️It truly has changed my life! So strong 💪🏽
Nancy Kiernan: It is a pleasure to take classes at Club Pilates in N Andover. The instructors keep the classes challenging and varied, so you always have more to learn and enjoy. The owner and staff are very welcoming and so helpful. The app makes scheduling a breeze. I highly recommend Club Pilates and especially the N Andover studio.
Gabrielle Panacopoulos: My old Studio closed and i was looking for anew studio after 3 years at my last one, i bounced around for months. I tried the free first class, snd i loved it. Since signing on i have attended classes with every instructor and I love them all especially Marisa and Olivia’s classes. The price for the unlimited was almost the same price as a pack of 10 at another studio, which was my choice. I am addicted to pilates and this studio, highly recommend and it is now my only choice for a studio.
Martha Rzepala: Love going to this gym. It is friendly, clean and relaxed. I went to rehab my formerly broken ankle but have stayed because of all the other benefits such as less joint pain, straighter posture and stronger muscles.
Cailleen Bernardi: Club Pilates North Andover is a wonderful Pilates studio with lots of equipment including reformers, EXO chairs, and TRX to name a few. The instructors are very knowledgeable, motivating, and have been studying Pilates for a long time. They can modify all exercises up or down to accommodate advanced and beginner students. Highly recommend giving it a try.Editing my review from two years ago to add that I took almost 100 Pilates classes during my last pregnancy and had my easiest recovery from third c-section. I credit this to my time spent at CP. The instructors knew how to modify to provide a safe but effective pregnancy workout. I couldn’t wait to get back in the studio postpartum and am loving being back.
Nina Leach: This is a great studio! All of the instructors are fun, very knowledgeable, and give individual attention to everyone in the class. The studio is well managed by the owner and staff, and the physical space and equipment are well maintained. I started with 2-3 days/week, and I like it so much that now I go almost every day.
Travis Murray: Such a wonderful studio! Laura, the owner, is such a caring individual. She really makes me feel welcomed every week. The instructors and front desk staff are so kind and informative. I really recommend this location.
Haley Pollard: Coming to class at CPNA is the best part of my day! The studio is pristine and well managed, something that can't be said about many other fitness studios hit hard by the pandemic. There is currently a mask requirement for class, which is something I haven't felt inhibit my overall experience or my workout. I feel safe knowing that the well-being of members and instructors is a priority. The staff is friendly and every instructor has their own style, making each class unique and fun.
ha choi: Very best!!!!Place is clearn , nice and well teaching,Pilates is best to reform your body specially over 40....Expensive but.....do not think to waste money for yourself , much better to go to gym
Faith Ann Lawlor: Happy anniversary Club Pilates! It has been a year since I made the comment to become I member best decision I have ever made. The studio is always immaculate. The instructions and staff are fantastic. The variety of classes is amazing. I made a commitment to myself to attend 3 to 4 classes a week and after one year I can say I kept that comment to myself. I never felt any unnecessary soreness to my joints after any of my classes. I can truly attest that after 3 months of doing Pilates I no longer need to use the heating pad nightly on my back. Remember the cost of membership is less than some cellphone bills and a Club Pilates membership benefits your overall health, can’t put a price on that.
kelly polanco: Great place!! Knowledgeable instructors!! Love it!
Jennifer DelMonaco: This is a great studio - I’m addicted! Great staff, great classes. I already feel amazing

Bodylines Pilates & Fitness Studio: what do users think?
Dyan Sierra: Not the best photo but I just have to give a shout-out to Kelley at #bodylinespilates in Harvard MA. Her class today and ALL of the Bodylines classes are fabulous! I cannot believe how her eagle eyes catch little things with form while we are on zoom and how creative she gets with different bands, Pilates ring, ball and weights etc.I am thrilled that I can continue to practice Pilates with this group of women who are so qualified and dedicated to what they do. They must keep up with training constantly to keep their classes fun and interesting. I can bring them with me wherever I go and either take live classes virtually or if I miss a class I can take the class or any classes at any time that works for me because they are recorded! Keep up the great work Karen, Kelly, Kim Casto, Tammy and all of the ladies at Bodylines Pilates! This is totally unsolicited! #bodylinespilates
Jenn Bernard: Bodylines is such an inclusive and body positive environment. I was initially nervous to start my health journey again and felt right at home with so many different ages and levels of experience there. Everyone - clients and staff - are more than willing to help you learn the different moves and provide any support you need. What I especially love is that you don’t need to be “in shape” to start, you can go at your own pace and there are so many modifications to do to meet you at your health and comfort level. So happy I started this journey and cannot wait to see where it brings me! Thanks Bodylines!
Kimberly Ansin: It is always a wonderful experience at Bodylines. Challenging, well planned classes and always different. That means my body doesn't get stuck in the "usual routine" rut. And best of all- Bodylines instructors and clients make working out fun.
candee wanamaker: Great individual instruction taking into consideration clients physical limitationsEveryone is Very friendlyBright clean beautiful studioFeel stronger and straighter
belleairbomber: Bodylines Pilates offers a triple star factor of fantastic coaches, beautiful studio and such a varied array of classes that I can always find the right class for my exercise needs.
Terry Young: It took me a very long time to get my nerve up to contact the studio. It had been almost 20 years since I did Pilates, and quite frankly embarrassed at how long it had been since I took care of my body. I was pleased to see bodies that looked like mine and moved like mine and have started to become less self-conscious and less focused on "matching" what someone else's ability is. There is no judgment and only support as you try to modify as needed. I have had the pleasure of experiencing 4 different instructors and they are all excellent. I decided to do some 1:1 sessions with Brenda, and I am so glad that I did. She is focused, supportive and is able to use humor just when I want to say I've had enough, which has been so helpful as I relearn what my body is capable of. If you are on the fence about private sessions, I would highly recommend this focused time, it has helped me tremendously.
Elizabeth C: I can feel my mid section improving.....what I NEED
Karen Luchini: Heather taught a wonderful class! My body felt so good afterwards 😊
Patricia Dee: All the instructors are excellent, with different styles and personalities! And I like the variety of classes.
Susan LaSante: The instructor was fantastic and the group was fun.
Sara Moquin: I started attending Bodylines when I was still recovering from my first pregnancy (2 years postpartum!). I started to see and feel improvements in my body. So when I became pregnant with my second, I knew this was the practice/studio to help me through this next phase in life. I’m 32 weeks now and feeling great! Kim, Kelly, Karen and team have been so supportive and helped me transition and modify through each pregnancy stage. I KNOW my recovery this time around will be drastically different then the first. Thanks so much for all the support Kim and team!!! Whether you are prenatal, postpartum or don’t have kids yet, get your butts in here! It will benefit your body SO much!
Jessica Alter: Bodylines Pilates is an amazing studio! The instructors are all so knowledgeable and able to meet the needs of every student. They give personalized adjustments and cues that allow each student to work safely, while being challenged.
Sara Martinian: The instructors are supportive, inspirational and kind. Always helping me do my best to get the most out of every exercise. The entire environment is so inviting and keeps me engaged.❤️❤️❤️
Hannah Porter: I love the pilates here! The instructors give you hands on assistance so you really know what to do in every exercise. As a newbie to pilates, I have learned so much in a short amount of time. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting. I would highly recommend this studio for anyone who wants to get in shape this year.
Tammy Valliere: Great workout. Fun and festive .
Brady Madigan: This place is great! Felt great after my workout here. The people here are great. The times I have gone here for a workout my experience here was significant!
caroline frost: Studio is so bright and cheerful with amazing instructors!
Holly Lauer: This is a great studio. They offer a wide range of classes. I'm new to the studio and have been trying out the various classes and instructors. I find the instructors to be very attentive to student's form, offer alternative movements, if needed, and are always encouraging. They really all have been fabulous. And they make it fun. Even those classes that I know I'm going to be feeling later are fun! Totally worth checking Bodylines out. Spacious, clean, friendly. So happy to have found it!
Mark Wyman: Love this studio~ No ego, just positive energy and hard work using the best methods with the most knowledgeable instructors. Guaranteed wellness~ (PS. Louise rocks!)
Marianna S: Excellent and thoughtful instruction. Personalized attention.
Pam Jarboe: I’ve been coming to Bodylines for 6 months. The teachers are so kind, thorough and extremely competent. Also, everyone is so friendly and inclusive. The workouts have helped me recover from injuries and I’m getting stronger each day. I highly recommend this place!

Oxygen Mind and Body - Pilates in Andover, MA: what do users think?
N S: I am so lucky to have found this Gem in Andover. I rarely leave reviews but the Owner and staff here are such genuine and decent people. I also love my instruction, Amy O, she’s supportive, strong, smart and inspirational. Usually not a person who can stay with exercise regimes but this establishment won my heart with its professionalism and kindness. I feel refreshed and empowered after each session. Thank you.
Christine Walsh: I really enjoyed my class with Lisa! It’s been....awhile...since I practiced Pilates and taking her class was fun and made me feel confident in returning to the practice!
Danielle: I used to work for Oxygen Mind and Body and I have to say that Amy puts so much of her heart and soul into the studio and clients. She makes sure that all instructors are aware of clients’ modifications and injuries. She goes the extra mile by engaging the instructors in practice sessions and continuing education. Truly a wonderful place to exercise with empowered teachers who really care about you.
Nora McCormack: Amy & her staff are top-notch! Their knowledge & delivery is some of the best I've ever experienced, and they make classes a blast! The training & education that the instructors pursue flies HIGH above the other alternatives in the greater Boston area, and you can tell. These aren't your average "weekend certificate" trainers, they have spent hundreds of hours seeking education, perfecting techniques, and learning the human body so as to avoid injury. If you have any ailment, take a personal training session with Amy. Her background is in exercise science, and she has invested hundreds of hours into perfecting the true Pilates technique. A clean & beautiful space brings the whole experience together, and leaves me feeling refreshed & realigned. 10/10 would recommend!
Michael K: This is a great studio with nice small classes so that you get great instruction, and a great workout.
Molly Kerrigan: I've been taking the pilates reformer classes here for a few months and I love this studio! The classes are always different, with interesting challenges thrown in. The group size is small so you get individual attention and modifications if you need it. Everyone there is super friendly so if you're new to the studio or pilates in general, you'll feel at home right away.
Amy Cieslik Mena: Nice small groups for classes - never too crowded, plenty of personal attention.

Healthy Changes Pilates in Reading: what do users think?
Nancy Robillard: I can not say enough good things about this studio ! I had never done Pilates before. I took a few private lessons with Karen. and instantly become hooked!! Erica the owner is awesome she changes up the class each time so you never get bored with the same routine ! When I started I had a hip injury but really think the Pilates has helped strengthen my hips so much I cancelled the surgery I had scheduled ! All the teachers there are awesome I can honestly say I’ve never been to a class I didn’t thoroughly enjoy ! If you have the chance to take a class you won’t regret it! I now am back to loving exercise agsin thanks to this place
Patricia Takach: Give yourself the gift of health by going to Healthy Changes Pilates. Erika and her team are superlative: knowledgeable, enthusiastic and encouraging. I leave every session feeling better than when I arrived and look forward to returning. The supportive and welcoming other members of the classes have been instrumental in helping me, a complete novice, learn and make progress. Go for a trial class and experience the excellence of Healthy Changes Pilates, you will be glad you did.
Karyn M.: I have been taking group classes at Healthy Changes Pilates for 5 years and during the pandemic started woking with Erika individually. Working with her has been truly a wonderful experience. She brings incredible knowledge, competence and depth of experience to each session, which I am greatly appreciative of. She is quick to assess strengths and weaknesses and works with the areas that are in need of strengthening while continuing to strengthen the entire core. I tell her she is a miracle worker as she knows how to work around an injury and has me feeling better at the end of a session. Through working with her I have come to better understand how my body muscles function, have gained strength and flexibility, and I feel and look fit!I am so glad to have the opportunity to work with her. I highly recommend Erika and Healthy Changes Pilates to any pilates enthusiast!-Sally
Corinna Tavano: First off - this is the 1st review I have EVER posted for any service ever! And, I'm excited to leave one for such a deserving and OUTSTANDING group of people and service!! Starting with Erika as the owner and head instructor! Her knowledge and passion for wanting to help people is second to none. She makes you feel welcomed, comfortable and truly helps you to fall in love with the discipline by creating such a warm atmosphere. I even love everything about the studio (peaceful, cheerful, clean, the best equipment and all around lovely!) Also, I love the music she plays...it's so relaxing but at the same time you get an incredible workout - just like the other reviews gave testament to! Even myself...I was unable to attend class for a little over a week due to family commitments and my right ankle started to click again as it did prior to joining pilates in June! Pilates, especially at Healthy Changes Pilates, is so enjoyable I think it was easy for me to loose sight of the fact that it was really helping me because I was enjoying myself so much! Unlike other forms of exercise, I never dread the idea of leaving the house to "go exercise". It never feels like a chore nor as if I have a grueling 50 minutes ahead of me. Rather, it is always so enjoyable - to the point that I may have lost track of just how much it was helping me...until I was away for a week. All-in-all, you couldn't ask for better. Whether you have never tried pilates or you're at the instructor level, you will not be disappointed in attending a class at Healthy Changes. Oh, one more thing :) Each instructor has their own style so not only is each class different (which I love the variety because you never really know what you're going to do during class - meaning which sequence of exercises you are going to do) but each instructor has their own "style", so it's even fun to attend different classes with different instructors. I'm telling you - you can't go wrong! I *HIGHLY* recommend taking a class! Thank you Erika and team! Love you guys and am so grateful to you...for your knowledge, patience, sense of humor and passion!
Melinda Monaco: I've been practicing and training at Healthy Changes in Reading for one year. The studio environment is welcoming, professional, and well organised. As a mentor, manager and owner - Erika is fantastic. She has provided thoughtful guidance throughout my BASI training and created a structured program to dive deep into the repertoire. Training with BASI has been an insightful and empowering program to build my pilates career. I'm thrilled to continue to grow with BASI and apply my knowledge to clients (and myself).
Nancy Chabot: I started attending classes at Healthy Changes Pilates in January and love going! Each class I attend is different and a great workout. My favorite class is multi level Chair with Lisa on Friday's at 8:00 a.m. She makes us come out of our comfort zone even if we are nervous about it! I try to make it to pilates at least twice a week and have learned something new each time.. Looking forward to many more classes in 2017!
Christine G: Having taken Pilates in San Francisco and Honolulu, I never thought I would find the best Pilates instructor in the suburbs of Boston while on a trip! I’ve been taking Pilates for the past 7 months after my physical therapist suggested it to strengthen my core to relieve lower back pain caused by years of sitting at a desk with bad posture. It was difficult finding an instructor teaching a session that is both challenging and emphasized proper form. I was either powering through a challenging Pilates session while performing the exercises with horrendous form, or performing with good form on unchallenging exercises. Enter Erika from Healthy Changes Pilates. She is by far the best Pilates teacher I have worked with. She has been helping me build a strong Pilates foundation - from thoracic breathing, to spine articulation, to the principle of opposition, to pelvis tilt, to ribcage placement, and so on. With this approach the simplest exercises have become so challenging and it is very rewarding to know that I am performing these exercises with proper form. Erika has also been helping me correct my posture and body alignment. I never thought something as simply as knowing how to stand and sit with proper posture could make such a huge difference in how my body feels! People of Reading, you are so lucky to have her in your town and able to work with her all year long! I wish I could!
Jenny Meegan-Harsip: I have been going to Healthy Changes Pilates since Feb 2012. Initially I went to help build my core after a C-Section. Can not tell how much of a difference it made. I continued to work with the instructors through my second pregnancy and postpartum. Pilates truly made my recovery and ability to bounce back so much easier.Erika and her team of instructors really work with each client. Even though you are in a class of 2-6 (depending on the class/day), you get individual attention each time. I love to switch the apparatus each time for a different approach (reformer, tower and chair)... Erika and her team (Lisa, Lea, Elaine and Karen) are wonderful! The clientele are so welcoming and Erika's new studio is so nice. Can't say enough except... give it a try!
Jen Donahoo: Great place. Everyone is so nice and knows your name. I love being acknowledged when I walk in the door. Great place to do Pilates.
Lori G: After having two back surgeries in ten years, I became afraid to exercise. Throughout it all, the doctors and physical therapists, stressed the importance of strengthening my core. I honestly was just too afraid of making the pain I still had worse. Then I discovered Healthy Changes, it was exactly what I needed to put my fears at ease. I could get individually attention, because of the small class size, and instructors that understand the body and who at all times put safety first. I have been taking classes for over a year now. The changes have been life changing. I am much stronger and do not have daily pain anymore, I have also lost the numbness in my leg and foot. I feel mentally better and look forward to my classes to see Lisa and the other ladies in our group!
