I have been getting oil from them since I bought my house in Groveland in 2012 and have never had an issue. They always deliver next day.It's because of what they did today, that went above and beyond expectations, that I'm writing this review. The driver was nice enough to take time out of his busy day to give my pregnant wife a jump-start. She had a doctors appointment and would have missed it, if not for Simards. I was given prices and discussed the location and payment policy. When I called back the man said I could not get Service because they are only taking heating customers, so I have to call back my gas company, tell them not to cancel ( all on my break ) so it must be nice to be making so much money you can refuse new customers in your area! customer beware !! And thanks for wasting my time !

Mike Sweeney: These days people tend to write reviews mainly about negative experiences, but I wanted to relate a positive experience I just had. Yesterday I had Eastern here for our annual oil burner maintenance check, which is part of the service plan I pay for with them. It was noticed that a relief valve was leaking, and the tech(Mike Butler) let me know that he tested the expansion tank and the pressure reading was not what it should be, so was most likely the culprit. He tried calling the office to see if that repair was covered under my service plan, but he couldn't get an immediate answer as it was lunch. Mike indicated he'd call me back as soon as he had an answer. About an hour later he called me back to say it was covered, and he could come back today first thing in the AM to replace it if that worked for me. I said it would, and he called at 8:15 this morning to check to make sure it would be O'K if he was here at 8:30. Her was here when he said he would be, explained what he was doing, and let me know when he was finished. It was not only the service that was excellent, but the communication was as well!

Will Mazola: Shout out to Eastern Propane Oils driver, Mike. This guy truly went above and beyond today. My propane tank is underground at the bottom of a pretty big slope. With the snow, rain, warmer temps then freezing temps, my hatch was filled to the top with freezing water. I told him just to come back another day and he asked for scissors, pulled a bottle our of his truck, made a cup and bailed the water out. Talk about excellent service!

I’d rather deal with Comcast if that says anything.I have called 5 times, left 5 voice mails, 3 emails and have called the emergency contact line regarding not having heat. Was promised numerous times that i would receive a call back the following day.Over a week later, still no returned call.Long story short, ex didn’t pay the bill; nobody notified me of the outstanding balance.Just shut off the propane with out a warning. No letters in the mail, no courtesy call or anything.This is unreal and very unprofessional.

melanie McCoy: Lame. I used to love this company. Recently we had a signed contract with them that they decided to increase the total due. Which we told them is illegal. Then they told us we will have prepay from now on, even though we have never been delinquent. Now they sent a delivery before we got a chance to pay, and proceeded to send us mail stating that we are gonna run out of propane if we don't pay. I wish at least one company would treat long time customers with some respect.

B: Lock your pets elsewhere because when the guys show up they will leave every door open possible and not care when they let your pets escape. I miss my cat

JIm Reinhardt: Yesterday we had the folks at Eastern Propane scheduled to extend our existing LP Gas pipping .The pipping was initially installed to supply a Gas Range and Tankless water heater, and we wanted to add a LP gas heater to our 3 ish season porch and a ceiling hung furnace in the garage. Yesterday was one of the windiest coldest days we have had this season (2021) . Eastern sent Leon, Ty , and Grant to handle the task. Leon started the project by going over the proposal to confirm my expectations and suggest the best way to complete the job. Leon started with the garage and Ty and Grant started in the basement where the original piping terminated. A few bitterly cold hours later it was all done and waiting for the Town inspection.Everyone knew there parts and worked steadily without complaint despite the extreme weather. Thanks to Leon , Ty, Grant, Marc, and all the folks at Eastern Propane and Oil.

David Rieth: I bought a house a week ago and called this morning to set up an account and have the tanks filled. The customer service person was extremely helpful and walked me through how to check my propane levels on my tanks, which I have never had before. We then were able to set up a delivery for the next day.Later in the afternoon my heat and hot water shut off because we ran out of propane. They were able to get a delivery out to me by 4:30!I am currently under quarantine, so the office staff actually called me and video chatted me through the steps to return my boiler to working order. I am absolutely blown away by the level of customer service I have received and will be recommending them to everyone I know that is looking for a new company.Thank you!

Remote Quality Bookkeeping: I own two business , Footbridge Beach Motel and Cottages in Ogunquit Me. and Remote Quality Bookkeeping. Both reliant on services Eastern provides me. My experience with Eastern Propane starts with Pat LaVoie. I met him 4 years ago as I was making the purchase of the Footbridge. Pat came , introduced himself and walked through the project with me. I felt confident in Pat right away. When you have a problem, Pat makes it his problem too. And he follows through no matter how small or large the problem. So having totally put me at ease with his knowledge and recommendations , we opened for business and was able to cut the costs the previous owner was used to by over 50%. They installed awesome energy efficient equipment and suggested things I hadn't thought of. ...like a circulation pump so when Travelers call for Hot water , its right there , and no wasted water down the drain waiting for such.The other business has been around for 22 years. We Host Small business Financial software and my team does all the back end process to bookkeeping so the owners can focus on growing theirs. Once COVID 19 hit , we decided to all work from home and it has been successful in applying certain secure measures in order to do so. Now the company is expanding to Maine. First call was to Pat. He sent his well educated Technician Justin (who service this Nation is service to us all and we all should shake his hand for that!) to install a 22 watt Generator so that the Hosting aspect can move to Maine. Thanks to Justin , we are launching the move today as I write this. Jerry Johnson: My wife and I have been a customer of Eastern Propane for many years. We had a minor fire in our home in December of 2014. The insurance company had a propane technician look at the furnace to make sure that everything was ok. Well in never really ran correctly. For the beginning of this season it wouldn’t fire up. So I called Eastern Propane and they sent a young man by the name of Michael. When I saw him at the door, I thought, what could this young man know about my furnace. Well to begin with he was exceptionally polite and extremely knowledgeable about my furnace. First he diagnosed the control board had 120 volts going in but no voltage coming out. He replaced the board and there was still an issue. ( furnace coming on and off) he then thought that I might need a new igniter. He took it apart and found it to be a little bent and readjusted it and the furnace has never run so good. Thank you so much Michael from Eastern Propane for fixing an issue we have had for so long. I promise I will not wait next time and call for service immediately and hope I get Michael back for any repairs I may need in the future.Update 12/17/2020 the furnace has been working fantastic with no issues and no additional heaters. Saving on propane and electricity. Great job Michael.

Rob Foley: Great service! I just had an annual service call on my Buderus boiler and was very impressed with the knowledge, professionalism, and promptness of Eastern's Service tech. I switched to Eastern last year, so this was my first service call to them. He arrived early (early!) and we quickly learned that by coincidence my boiler had stopped working. He diagnosed the issue, fixed an even more serious problem I didn't know about, and cleaned my boiler in less than 2 hours. And I didn't have to help him other than let him get to work. Bigger than that though, he educated me more in that time than the previous company had in 5 years.

James Case: We called the answering service after midnight and talked to someone in less than 30 minutes and while my in-laws are oil customers they needed propane for their generator, which was delivered the next day! This all happened right after the snow/ice storms. I was very impressed with the people I spoke to and their dedication to providing support and service with kindness and respect, even during what must have been a very stressful period.

Mr. Schultz: Fuel delivery is superbly reliable and well priced. Their customer service and on-site equipment services are extraordinary. They are responsive, have great expertise, and are very professional. I wish all the companies I work with as a home owner were this good! They are top shelf. (they provide me fuel oil, propane, service my boiler system and are about to install lines for my gas logs)

Rhonda Zoch: Done. This was the last straw for us. After reading other reviews and talking with other customers, it's very clear to me now that they are very good at scheduling to come look at what needs to be done and then drop the ball leaving one hanging for weeks. They arrive and then leave quickly without attempting to problem solve for a solution. They don't return calls. They are very good at showing up without the gear needed in the truck despite knowing the parameters of the job. Dismissive, arrogant, and without a willingness to complete the job or satisfy the customer, we, like others, have moved on. There are plenty of good companies out there. Find one who's willing to go the extra mile for you. I will give them this....the woman who has answered the phone the many times I've called over the years is lovely.

Jim Bosco: Over 30 years ago we had another oil supplier with auto deliveries. On a bitter cold mid-winter Sunday we ran out of oil. Our 92 year old mom was with us. We needed fuel right away! Our regular supplier wouldn’t come out. I called Ciardelli. The owner came out and put 5 gallons in the tank and got the furnace going. We've been with Ciardelli since that episode.Today Ciardelli performed another miracle. Our hot water heater died yesterday. With my wife and I, and 3 grandchildren in the house, we needed hot water pronto. What did Ciardelli do? Step 1: last night they had the supplier deliver a HW heater closer to us. Step 2: at 8:30 am their tech was at the house disconnecting the old HW heater while Step 3: another tech picked up the new HW heater and brought it over. Step 4: at 11:30 we have hot water. Now THAT!!! is what I call service. Thank you again Ciardelli.

Matt Blanchette: Won't be calling them for oil or service ever again. Called because we ran low on oil before the delivery and now our burner won't fire. I was told because we "hadn't ordered since November 2021" we weren't a "current customer" so they won't provide service for us. Sorry we ordered elsewhere, but when you're ordering 200 gallons, a price difference of .60 per gallon is a big deal. Thank you for convincing me to take my business somewhere else permanently.

Way cheaper than the exchange programs.Update 1/20/21:I was having a terrible time getting Amerigas, my previous propane supplier to deliver to my house - being on hold for over an hour day after day and I was almost out of gas. I was under no contract, so I decided to ditch them before I became a victim.Fed up with their bad customer service and high prices, I called Bot-L-Gas and spoke with Elly. She and the service manager worked quickly to get me signed on as a customer. That evening, the service dept came out to survey my setup and told me everything was a go. A few days later, they installed a tank and sent a truck out to fill, all within a 1.5hr time frame. OUTSTANDING SERVICE AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL!Bravo to the team at BOT-L-GAS!
