Kim K.: Yikes. I just had a terrible experience here yesterday.I live in Lowell and am brand new to running, but I was really excited when I learned about this store. I thought it was going to be great to go into a store where I could do the gait analysis and get help finding the right shoes at a decent price. I was so quickly disappointed. First of all, when I got there around 4:30, I saw a note on the door that said "Be back in a couple minutes." Okay fine, I'm a patient person, I'll wait. So I did. For a half an hour. Finally I called the Acton location (apparently the Lowell location doesn't have a phone) and the gentleman told me he was calling the employee's cell phone, at which time the employee came running up. So I went inside and stood there expecting to be asked questions - what level am I at, how often do I run, where do I run, etc. Nothing. He just told me to pick a shoe from the shelf. I asked about the gait analysis, but the problem was he hardly spoke any English so I don't think he knew what I was requesting. He asked me my size and just started bringing shoes out but didn't do anything to help me decide. I expressed that I'm a beginner and didn't know what to look for. No response. Probably because his cell phone was going off every 30 seconds and he was answering it and speaking to someone he knew.I ended up buying shoes because I do need new running shoes, but I am going back this afternoon to return them. When i looked at them yesterday I realized they were fairly dirty for being new shoes and honestly I don't feel good giving them my business. It was really a shame, I was so excited about this store...

Joseph Anderson: They found great shoes for me and now I can walk. I tried 3 different stores and they all fit me wrong. This store found my shoes were a size too small and failed to provide the right support. I bought two pairs and I will return for more shoes.
Danielle Abraham: Mark and his staff at Marx Running in Acton are wonderful! Every time I've been in the store, the staff have been knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly. I initially did a gait analysis to figure out the best sneaker for me. They put me in the 361 Nemesis and they are my absolute FAVORITE sneakers I've ever walked or ran in! I highly recommend both the brand 361 as well as buying your next pair of sneakers at Marx!

I have had foot pain for 3 years and they are helping me find a solution. The team at the store is the best and I would highly recommend them.
Anna Olsen: Super friendly and helpful staff got me set up with arch support shoes so I can kick my plantar fasciitis and get back to running. He first evaluated my walking gait and used that information to find shoes that will help stabilize my pronating foot. I wanted to get 2 pairs so both were 15% since I was buying both. So, so much better than buying online.

We scheduled an appointment for a gait analysis and the process was very interesting! The young woman who helped us was extremely knowledgeable in showing us what she was looking for in the gait analysis shown on the computer and explained why she recommended certain shoes over others. Her passion and knowledge gave us total confidence that we were purchasing the right pair. An overall great experience here--we will be back!
Marshall Horwitz: Mark Coddaire is the real deal!! He really knows his products and can select the footwear right for YOU. I came here after my sneakers got soaked in yesterday's torrential rains. Since I am from out-of-state, I looked at Google reviews for a running store in the Acton area. The reviews emphasized Mark's knowledge and his honesty. I can state unequivocally that Mark looks out for the customer and doesn't upsell you.Now this might sound a bit strange, but it is true. I brought my old sneakers with me, and Mark could tell why they were causing me issues. And the footwear I had was from a respected store in Florida. He was spot on. These new sneakers are wonderful.If you have foot issues when walking or running, that is all the more reason to shop here.Thank you, Mark. You are terrific!

Nica Latto: Mark and the staff are deeply knowledgeable. They stay on top of all the current models and know all the tiny details you might not even think of. For example, they'll know if this year's Ghost 13 is different from last year's Ghost 12, exactly what changed, and how it might affect you. They're always able to recommend the best shoes for you. Taylor Jane McGinty: I'm not one for writing reviews, but I absolutely love Marx Running. I first started buying shoes here in 6th grade when I got runners knee. They didn't even need me to run on the treadmill, from my walk across the store the owner knew what my issue was and exactly which sneakers to put me in. I bought those same running shoes for the next 5 years. In 11th grade I suffered several severe ankle sprains and my PT specifically sent me to Marx to buy new running sneakers with as much ankle stability as possible. They gave me the best pair of running sneakers I have ever used. I meant to replace them before I left for college because I prefer to buy them from Marx than from a large company, but I ran out of time. I was able to find my shoes again on their website and was able to call them for clarification to make sure I chose the right ones. I was fully prepared to have my family pick up the shoes and ship them to me, but turns out Marx could ship them. I called Marx and then ordered the shoes mid-day and they were at my school the following morning. The first thing I did when I picked up my package was text my mum how much I love the store.

connor Brewster: This store is the best, I’ve gone there for a few things over the years. Was in need a of pitching wedge for golf and they have an excellent selection of golf gear for a very fair price extremely with todays prices. Will always come here for my golf stuff 👍
