Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics: what do users think?
Eli Padilla: I worked there for 5 years. I loved it at first. My job was pretty interesting. The pay was not the best and management turn for the worse in 2016. The contamination with the water didn't help either. Now in 2023 there is new management. The new GM is way better than the GM in 2018-2020. The new HR manager is great and so is the admin in HR. They nice and check on the employees on the floor. Training in the towers still needs improvement. Get into fabrication, things in that department seems to be better and more organized. This company is huge, there is no reason why the pay is still low.
Shane Heath: if I could give zero stars I would. They have been poisoning our water for years and have next to no accountability for it whatsoever when you contact them or express concern.
Gigi Benson: I called 10 times to get free water they promised. They are a very irresponsible company that has tainted our community drinking water with toxic chemicals. I have had serious skin issues for 5 years from showers. I spend $40 a week on drinking water. The cancer rate in the area is one of the highest in the country. They need to be shut sown
Justin Cloutier: Zero morality company. Saint gobains should be pushed out of New Hampshire. They were and maybe still are knowingly poisoning the drinking water and polluting the environment.
Alejandra Costas: They have no respect for people's lives
Jared: Well water in the next town over was contaminated. I had to pay to have a reverse osmosis system installed.
Justin Marks: They like to poison drinking water
osiel ayala: Great place, fast loading and unloading, staff arrive around 7:15 and 7:30 am. you can sleep there. Si se puede dormir ahi,el personal de descargas y carga llega entre 7:15 y 7:30
Amy Keating: After receiving a “groundwater contamination notice within 500 feet”, of our property, we called for our well water testing. After about a month from leaving a message we were told by Saint-Gobains “engineering” company Golder Associates that we would have to wait until legislation is amended since we are within the consent decree area and the Department of Environmental Services told them they didn’t have to test anymore. We were told we would be crossed off as a call back by Ross Bennett, all while our family continues to use the well water. We do not know of the illnesses it has or may cause to our family. Now we must pay for our own testing and potentially spend thousands on a filtration system to remove pollutants that were caused by this company. Imagine those in the community that are not in a position to do this for themselves where does that leave them? Saint-Gobain needs to make this right.
James Szabunka: WHY IS THIS WATER CONTAMINATING COMPANY STILL ALLOWED TO OPERATE. SHAME ON THE STATE OF NH.
S. Lajoie: The town of Merrimack won an award for the county's best water back in 2004. Now, not so much.
Garrett Poltack: As a former resident for Merrimack, I’m appalled that this company has acted irresponsibly and compromised the health of its citizens. I’m surprised it is still able to be under operation.
Mark Bouley: Pollutes groundwater for miles around. As good a neighbor as Chernobyl. Thank you St. Gobain, the patron saint of PFOA's. Amen.
Craig Hill: Great
Judy Johnson: I'm VERY skeptical that Saint-Gobain will clean up and not pollute. They got caught once, but did it again anyway. No amount of money can be paid to an individual to make up for the various horrible medical maladies that PFOA/PFOS cause to humans and other mammals. Saint-Gobain is a company, not a person. Profits over people. Certainly this company employs a lot of people, but at what cost?? Do those at the executive level live in the affected areas? Do they drink the water there? Sounds like Erin Brocovich all over again, but in the New England area. The company says one thing, but does another.
Steven M: they poisoned the water in my town. no compensation
Steven Heffelfinger: My water is undrinkable because of the suspected damage their PFOA by-product has done to my town’s water aquifer. I would suggest looking elsewhere for business as they do not want to take responsibility for their polluting actions.
Carol DiPirro: They polluted Merrimack's water, at least some of our aquifers with PFCs. They have exposed all citizens to carcinogens and refuse to take any responsibility. They don't care about the water their workers drink and their children!
Priscilla Sepessy: Not sure but I thought company's like this were suppose to enrich and support the community's they are in, it seems to me they have stripped us of all things that communities thrive on1, being clean air. Some days you can go out side and smell this odor that is so strong whatGives them the right to do this, NH's air is suppose to be clean and pure, what am I breathing in?2, the ground beneath our feet, the dirt our pets walk on and children play in, our gardens that we grow our vegetables, Really !!!3, Our water, is so contaminated that we don't have a choice but to get bottled water, because not only our wells have been affected but our town water has been affected.4, how many have had their health affected by all of this, I bet so many more then then we'll know. How many other communities will they be allowed to damage forever before they are stopped?
Kathy K33: They continue to poison our water, poison our air and poison our Land. They are the most destructive company in our town. They need to step up to the plate and fix all of the issues that they have caused. If I could write them a zero I would
Kathy Stack: St Gobain has polluted our community and contaminated out water. St Gobain has failed to take responsibility for the damage they have done. They are Not a good neighbor and the community suffers due to their negligence. They show no accountability for damage they have done to the land, the air, and the waterThey have contributed to toxins dumping into the environment and have no concern for the carcinogens they have infected the people of Merrimack with. They cause extreme damage and take no responsibility for their actions....no remedy to the poor condition they have left the community in as a result. Real estate significantly impacted....who wants to buy a home with a contaminated water supply? St Gobain has no remorse for the damage they have done and seem to have no inclination toward making the community whole again. Very poor and lethal neighbor.
