Cox Fuel Co, Inc.: what do users think?
Zhaklina Grozdanovska: So bad company. If Google has minus before stars for review,I give them.
Eddie Macdonald: Just got terminated after a 20-year contract with this oil company. Never had the best service with them, they never showed up on the day that they said they would. Apparently the daughter's feelings got hurt when I asked why they haven't showed up yet with my oil. Said they would show up on Monday here it is Wednesday and no oil yet. So I asked if they would come out today and give me oil because they know my gauge is broken on the oil tank and she said she would look into it. Only to get a call from the owner saying my service has been terminated because his daughter doesn't have to put up with my attitude. Good luck with your business and I hope your daughter actually grows a backbone.
Stephen Dixon: I have been with Cox Fuel for over 18 years. Their customer service is the greatest. Never a problem with a delivery. Whenever I've needed service they've always shown up promptly. Sometimes within minutes. Their service techs are the best.
stacey polechio: Family run local business. They have been my oil company for over 20 years. Great service. They take good care of their regular customers.
Brittany Doherty: We live in Chelmsford and recently got our oil tank replaced. Cox Fuel had the best prices in the area, professional technicians and the best customer service.
Valerie Viengngeune: Quick Service when needed
Cortney Clark: Literally just watched the employees bash my car with their door in a parking lot without any concern. They parked in like four spots. Way to go!
brian: Best oil guys around
Courtney Judd: Best customer service and best technicians. Very caring company with a personal feel. Always delivers on time and responds quickly to emergency calls! I’d definitely recommend them to anyone in the area.
Reaperr24: Been with them since I bought my house. They have been awesome and will continue with them.
Wendy Klix: We have been with Cox Fuel since we brought our home over 20 years ago! We have always experienced fast service and they have always gone to great lengths to ensure our systems are running and keeping us warm! I cannot recommend them enough, the best oil service we've ever had and the best technicians around!
cheng zong: Just overall a very mean person.
James Benjamin: Great service dept
Patricia Wilkins: I contacted Cox Fuel on Monday, 10/08/2018 to have an oil delivery and spoke to the service for Cox Fuel. I was told they did not know if they were open or closed that day, this was around 11:00 AM. I called again on Tuesday, 10/09/2018 to schedule my oil delivery and spoke to someone who worked there. I was told he would put in a ticket for my delivery and I would have oil in the next day or two. On Saturday, 10/13/2018 I called again indicating that I came home Friday evening expecting by then I would have oil, and did not. My message left with the Service on Saturday was that I would need oil by today, 10/15/2018. One week, 3 calls and still no oil. I have always paid on time and have never encountered an issue with Cox Fuel. Needless to say, I am going elsewhere now. Too bad, I liked the staff and they were always accommodating.
Cynthia Pimentel: Always on time, and always professional! Our family has been a very pleased customer for many years and will continue to do so.
Andrew Koskela: Have been using them for 6 years and have never had an issue. They show up same day some times when you are in a pinch for oil. They always answer the phone and are very considerate!!! Thank you cox fuel!
Chris Livingston: They have been delivering oil and servicing our furnace for years and they have been nothing but professional.
Lyn B: Very rude. I inquired about an oil delivery and told him I was not presently a customer. The man very rudely said no he would not do it. Coldest day in years and he would not schedule a delivery. Never do business with this place!!!

Colonial Oil Co: what do users think?
Darren Levinsky: Not telling me when I placed the order wasn't great. Calling me and telling me the order was on the way and fishing for me to schedule the replacement lines with you was worse and when I said no calling me back 5 minutes later to say you couldn't deliver now because you suddenly discovered it would be illegal was the cherry on top. However I overlooked all these things, and didn't write down my grievances until right now after receiving a sarcastic response here. Very unprofessional and only serves to reinforce my decision to not use your company, which I might add I never wanted to in the first place, I was just unfortunate enough that you bought out wright oil, which was a great company. Also when you say you "told me back in 2022" that was a few months ago, don't pretend like I'm the big bad home owner whose known about the problem for years and your the small voiced company just trying to do the right thing. I have decided to have someone else do the work and deliver my oil, something I recommend to all your customers
William Schaefer: I have going here for propane and gasoline for twenty plus years after my Dad showed me his favorite place to fill up.I have always had courteous service and no issues ever. Their swap out program for older Propane tanks is great and will save you money and never leave you with an out of date tank to dispose of. Check them out for sure!
Nancy Hill: Told me they would be out to service my boiler and then never showed up. When I called they said they didn't work on the boiler I had, but couldn't tell me at 10 a.m. Friend stayed home all day waiting... Lost a customer!
Heather Zaccone: Great for oil deliveries! They were the only company that was willing to come out for an emergency. 5 stars.
Marcello Aldorasi: UPDATE #2 Still avoid them at all costs. Wish Zero Stars was an option. I had another company come out to check over their work. They never removed the old gasket from the oil filter housing when installing the new one!!! 2 gaskets = Poor seating and leaks! If they simply owned up to poor workmanship on their latest visit, screwing up 2 separate aspects of the yearly service, we could have accepted that finding good employees right now is difficult but their horrible excuse for "customer service" sealed the deal.Stay Away! Horrible workmanship and customer service. They literally threatened to leave our heat shut off if they determine the issue was not due to their own negligence.Colonial Oil Co [also operating under County Energy ProductsService provided under Leo Marchand Inc], performed a yearly maintenance on our boiler on 11/2. Leaving air in the oil lines and our boiler non functioning. After arriving home from vacation discovered the heat was not working and requested they come out to correct the issue. Additionally we have noticed that after they replaced the oil filter and gasket we have had a slow progressive leak. Upon calling them to come correct the issue they state that if they determine it is not the filter and gasket and due to the filter housing we are responsible for the costs. 1st, they left us with inoperable heat from this year's service due to the workmanship issue of not properly bleeding the oil lines and pump. 2nd they denied that same service, which already displayed poor workmanship, was not the cause to the leaking filter. 3rd, they expect us to take their word upon inspection of the leaking filter on whether we have to pay hundreds of dollars more to replace parts that were 100% functional and leak free before their service. We were better off without having the service performed at all! If your oil provider company recommends them, source your own service provider!!UPDATE: After further inspection [see additional picture] it is blatantly clear that it was once again a workmanship issue and the oil filter gasket is not properly installed.
John Newman: My wife and I hired Colonial Oil to replace a 25-yr old boiler at a rental property. The project was challenging because access to the old boiler was poor and there were several complicated controls. On top of that, we live in Florida but the boiler was in Massachusetts which meant we had to put a lot of trust in whichever company we chose to do the job.Unlike other service providers, Colonial handled the project's challenges like a champ. Throughout the process, Kim kept us informed and was extremely friendly and professional. The team did an outstanding job without any surprises. They were prompt, friendly, honest, affordable and professional from beginning to end.We couldn't be happier we selected Colonial. We'll certainly call them again for our future heating and cooling needs and are happy to give them our highest recommendation.
B L: They are quick with their deliveries. Employees are friendly. DO NOT pay with credit card. I had a couple deliveries made over the summer. They ran my card/charged me twice for the 1st delivery and then ran my card/charged me Three times the the next delivery. I caught the first time and had them reimburse me. Shame on me for not checking after the next delivery. There's no way I can believe this was a mistake.
Matt Tata: Save alot of money going here
Mark B: Beyond having the lowest oil prices in the area, the level of service Colonial provides is second to none - friendly, responsive, knowledgeable and honest. I have used other oil companies in the area and Colonial puts them all to shame. If you are looking to change companies, your search is over.
Adrien Desillier: Its your regular place to get different types of fuel
Monica Altamar-Yuri: Truly disappointed in them. My husband and I just moved to the area and were told by the previous owners to use Colonial Oil.We scheduled a delivery with them and asked them to winterize our outdoor oil tank before they filled the tank up. Even though we left the materials outside for them the didn’t do it. We called them to ask them to come by and winterize it and they refused to do so stating that it was so easy anyone could do it. They said: “it’s as easy as drinking water, do you know how to drink water?”.I completely understand that the process is probably very easy. However when you’re a new homeowner and are dealing with fuel it’s not something that you want to mess with. I also understand that sending a technician out for such an easy thing seems wasteful but when you agreed to do it, you should try your best to make it right. I’m disappointed that they wouldn’t hold up to their word. After some arguing they did agree to send the owner out to show us how to do it but at that point we declined.Oil companies are a dime a dozen and I’ve never had a problem with them in the past so no need to stick with one that’s rude to you and doesn’t do what they say they’ll do.
Derik DeLong: Great prices on propane tank fills ($12 when I went). Fast and friendly!
Mary Jo Boxer: Not easy to schedule a delivery. No weekend hours for people that work.Oil may come after three days. I am on my fifth day waiting. Most places have delivery the next day or two if not the same day if you order before a certain time and the price is the same.
Makin’ “Makin' Scents” Scents: Excellent service, pricing and overall great company. I went to fill 2 propane tanks today. Very fair pricees they filled both tanks and even walked the full containers to my vehicle. Very friendly staff, this experience has made me a returning customer for the future.
Karen Mullins: New burner and boiler installed. Service very good. Ryan / CJ very nice and friendly!
Timmy 2000: Have an independent service for heating system. Best prices and solid delivery. No complaints, everyone I've dealt with has been professional to deal with.
J. Elizabeth De Los Santos: I've been using Colonial Oil for a year now to heat my house and have had no issues as far as calling in and requesting my refills. The receptionist is always super nice and it's always really easy to schedule an oil delivery.
B Shin: Never get any service from the Colonial Oil!! I have had four services from Colonial Oil since last November for annual tune-up and fixing the heating-off problem. Every time they visited they said it should be OK, but same issue occurred 3 times since they gave service. A week ago, one of the technicians came for the same heat-off problem and installed a new ignition system (nozzle and t-former). After the service I found black ashes and soots from the exhaust/vent covered all over the deck and the exterior wall around the exhaust area. Even the two filters inside the heating system were all black (I changed the filter only a month ago). I called Colonial Oil yesterday and another technician came today morning and adjusted the ignition system. In the afternoon, I talked over phone with a man who claims to be the owner of the company and asked Colonial Oil to clean up the mess caused by the improper installation of the new ignition system by his technician. The guy said my heating system generating ashes and soots after the service was not their fault since his technician did not came to destroy the system but to help me fix the problem, and therefore it was not their responsibility to clean up the mess. What a nonsense this is! It is very clear to me that the service provider is responsible for cleaning up the byproduct of their improper service implementation. Moreover, this guy’s attitude was not even professional. After shouting and blaming me, this guy told me to get oil delivery and services from another company and just hung up the phone. Never get any service from the Colonial Oil!!
