scott carroll: I respect the state police and all that they do to keep us safe, but today while making a call about an erratic driver that threw multiple things at my vehicle on the highway, and flashed what look to be a gun i was dis credited. I felt like i was not herd and disrespected. I am disappointed in there actions and hope that in the future they can be a little more for the people. Everett Whipple: Not sure why a State Trooper would tell a young lady who was just in a motor vehicle accident to drive home after the two other men involved told her and him she needed to be towed. I respect the law and so do my children, but when this officer told my daughter to drive home she questioned his command. Her radiator had leaked all over the road. He got huffy and told her it was just washer fluid and she was fine (Washer fluid was still full by the way). Being respectful of his authority, she tried to drive home. Now she has a blown engine on top of accident damage :(. Had to be towed from another part of the highway!Sometimes a little common sense goes with the job...

Everyone treated him with the utmost respect, never judging him. He also said the bail person was cool too! I’m writing because even tho his day wasn’t the greatest, he has came to appreciate the public officials and their jobs dealing with the public.

APHRODITE D.: Thanks to the reviews, I will not be buying a house in Lowell like I planned to today. While there seems to be a weird man confronting police with a camera when no police-crime is taking place, police can ignore him and de-escalate, they should not attack weirdos with cameras.. the various descriptions match typical police behavior in high crime-low budget towns: issuing fake traffic tickets to make unofficial monthly ticket/arrest quota, giving people going about their daily life court citations/summons for reasons of bullying/statistics/city revenue, giving false information/pretending to misunderstand situations in order to get out of doing work they don't want to do, being associated via friendship or other conflict of interest connections to violent/un-civil friends on the street and refusing to police their behavior or using police action to retaliate or intimidate against people who are victims of their friends, failure to respond to calls appropriately, failure to investigate, failure to make justice.. in 2009, a friend told me that his cousin was becoming a policeman in Lowell and he had no college degree, was trained for only a small number of weeks where he was trained that "the typical drug dealer and customer are when a black male driver with white female passenger, and then released to work into the community. I am already afraid of police because I safely drive an older beater car, and I get followed and pulled over by State Police almost every week if I drive at night and then get issued a warning to justify why they pulled me over (last time the state police cruiser had a left front headlight out and gave me a warning for driving "like 45 mph" on wet road on Mass Pike with no cars around at midnight - the stress of being followed for some time while the police car watches to try to catch you with some driving violation they can use as blackmail, then questions you and issues you a warning when you were the one driving safely and not bothering anyone.. so much daily life stress. I don't want this stress. I'd rather save money and buy in a richer town where the police only maintain safety and justice and don't attack people or raise revenue through tickets or have an unofficial ticket quota like they do in New York City, Massachusetts State Police, and it seems in Lowell. Now, all the criminals in Lowell, sorry police, it is your job to take care of them..

R P: Had someone hit my car and took off, even though I was fine. I called to report it and they told me to wait and someone would come to me as soon as they can, 30 minutes later I am still waiting and no one showed up. 45 minutes later they called to see if I was still at the location, I told them I left and thanks for nothing. This is why people don’t report things, the lack of care and interest. I was disappointed and sad that they didn’t care enough.

Mark Farris: I have friends that were being harassed by Neighbors. I encouraged them to call Lowell Police and they came right down there and spoke to the neighbors and informed them that if they did it again they will be arrested. Also called them for some general information and they were extremely courteous and knowledgeable. Very happy to live in Lowell and feel safe that they will respond when needed.

Angelina Nguyen: Lazy, misleading, and incompetent. Needed a police report for a car accident and called in earlier in the day to ask when I could pick it up. Lady said that they closed at 5pm, but when I showed up before 4 they had already left early. Makes me question whether they care about helping the people of lowell at all. All the comments here don’t make me think they are any better than what they’ve shown me either.

John D.: Extremely untrustworthy Lawrence would be better off with no police at all. The city has got problems but they are all created here with this group of so called police. I would rather call a biker gang for help than any of these police. They are not capable and are only out to steal from the tax payers and their victims. We need to defund these unscrupulous actors! WildStarr Productions: A waste of taxpayer money. Lawrence just shouldn’t even have a police department they are completely useless. Called to have them mediate and monitor a situation and they basically stood there in silence and managed to insult me within 5 minutes of being there. Didn’t check our ids or give me there names nothing. Meanwhile there’s drug deals going on wide open where everyone can see but please act like this an upstanding town, because it is not.

I told him I knew the law and he said "oh so your a lawyer". Another cruiser pulled up and I decided to film him and he was a whole different person. They should at least have compassion and give her a chance or at least leave her in a safe area.
