Dennis Robitaille: Over the past 22 years I have purchased around 12 new Subarus between IRA Subaru in Danvers, MA and Belknap Subaru in Tilton, NH. My buying experience at both of those dealerships was outstanding. I was treated fairly and honestly.Sadly, I cannot say the same for the Wakefield, MA Subaru dealership. Recently, I was given an on-line estimate of my trade in vehicle at $24,694. The new vehicle I was interested in had a MSRP of $34,166 and it had what they call “lowest possible price” of $31,666.I was intrigued by the numbers and drove down to have them look at my potential trade-in. My trade-in was in mint condition, so I wasn’t expecting the actual appraised value to be much different. Boy was I wrong, they gave me a trade-in value of $16,000 and the new vehicle lowest possible price disappeared, as they quoted me the actual MSRP of $34,166.So instead of me putting up around $10,000 to obtain the new vehicle, they wanted more like $20,000. They made no effort to change the numbers and offered no apogee for my wasted trip. I understand the supply chain is still not 100%, and I understand that a business needs to make a profit, but to draw a potential customer in with deceptive numbers like that is totally unacceptable.

Kunal Mukherjee: I had gone into the dealership to cancel an extended warranty. They told me it was cancelled and that I would get a prorated refund within 45 days. It had been five months later and they weren't responding to me. I had to put in a complaint and they told me to call the dealer that I bought the car from. I did that and my warranty was still intact and they told me that it has to be cancelled from the the dealership it was purchased from. If Wakefield Subaru had not lead me the wrong way I would have gotten much more money. I ended up keeping the extended warranty as a lot of time had passed. They also gaslighted me telling me to put my complaint in with the original dealership when they were the one's that told me they would cancel it. It's also just an expensive area to buy cars. They sold an overpriced lease to my partner. As Wakefield Subaru told me, talk to Atlantic Subaru! They were really helpful and give fair prices.

Emily Lindquist: Everyone we encountered was very friendly and I love my new car. A couple of issues that I think they should do better with... I bought a used car and the first day I went to drive it after bringing it home, the battery was dead. Jumped it, ran it, and dead again next morning...failed the battery test when I brought it in. Luckily the car was still under warranty so the replacement was free, but I can't believe they didn't test the battery on a three year old car (that has a 2-3 year lifespan) before selling it to me...and it's a little hard to believe they hadn't already had to jump it if it died that quickly!Also found the previous owner's trash/used chapstick etc. still stuffed under the seats which is a bit gross.Not to mention they gave me the car with a quarter tank of gas. Maybe it's not standard to fill up beforehand for the customer but I would have expected it from my experience with other dealers!That being said, the salespeople and service department were pleasant and I'm happy with the car now.

Jonathan K: This is related to sales. Went in to look and test drive new cars and was approached by Maria Swiacke. She came off nice and talked about features of the car, but when I went in to discuss with my spouse she was peer pressuring us to get the car and we had to get the car today. We kept resisting and her demeanor changed and she treated us differently. We had another arrangement to meet someone for lunch and she had the nerve to say we were visiting another dealership and we would not find a good price she was offering as all dealership are the same. For her to make assumptions on what we do in our daily lives was uncalled for and to treat us differently just because we did not want to purchase on the day of and wanted to think about it more, before making a big purchase was not justifiable. I would not recommend anyone to come here if they are going to be treated like this.

I walked in this afternoon in a panic because my Subaru, which I need to drive back to DC, had a complete system failure. Mark was extremely patient with me and helped me get the claim number associated with the battery defect class action suit. Once Mark got that, he got my car set up with an excellent mechanic (I wish I got his name) who did the diagnostics and needed repairs in about an hour. My Subaru is working like a charm again. I cannot thank North Ready Subaru enough for getting my car ready to go again for my drive back to DC. Your team is the best.

Priscilla McCluskey: This review is for the Service department.I brought my Subaru in for an inspection, I suspected it was a wheel bearing and that ended up being the issue. I was quoted $1546 for two bad rear bearings. I wasn't prepared to spend that amount so I asked to take the car back.The treatment from service totally changed after that. When I said I wanted to take the car back, a nearby service writer said "really? woooooow" in a tone that was meant to make me feel bad about it. A couple things I felt in that moment. First was, how can you make someone feel bad about an expense that was more than expected? You can't assume people's financial situations and try to make them feel bad about a choice that makes the most sense for them. Secondly, as a female in a male-dominated field and office I wonder if that same sentiment would've been said to a man? Try not to be so fragile.I paid the diagnostic fee no problem and was on my way. When I went to find my car, it was nowhere close to the entrance. A nice man with an umbrella tried to find it by hitting the panic button but it was so far away it didn't go off. I heard him ask Shawn or Steve (couldn't hear over the rain) where my car was and he had parked it the furthest from the door while it was absolutely down pouring :) No surprise it was the same guy that made the comment above for me not getting the service done that day. I hope it made him feel better trying to bully me into spending $1500 and making me walk across the entire parking lot in the rain.Dealerships have a stigma, especially for female clients. They're often taken advantage off and intimidated. I'm sorry that I wasn't willing to pay that price that day but I could've brought it back another time when I had budgeted for that. Especially if I felt understood and validated in wanting to think it over. After this, I won't be bringing my car back there ever. I called around and found another local car shop that validated my concerns and quoted me half of what I would've paid. They took the time to explain they agreed with the dealerships assessment and suggestions but that some of the work wasn't necessary.Shawn or Steve, I hope you are having a better day and that you don't let the choices people make that are best for them affect you so much.

Tristan Ashmore: I just received my 2016 subaru WRX premium edition back from them this morning. I am more than impressed with the work. I will spare all of the history and details but some DIY installs led to some clutch issues and slippage to a full stop.I needed a new clutch installed. I brought the vehicle in on a Friday and it was ready within a week. They were very communicative throughout the short process and polite. I was introduced to the front of house staff and upon picking up my vehicle, Mark even remembered I came out here for a new job and asked about it. To some people, they just want their vehicle fixed and returned but in my opinion, how they treat you is an extension of how they will treat your vehicle. It is all about the details. The car drives even better than when I bought it and I can't thank them enough. Having only been in Mass for a couple months, it is nice to have found a trusted auto repair place right away. This is where my car will be getting work done, no questions about it. Last note: they also took care of a recall that I wasn't even aware of. Thanks again!

WOW!Last night, out of the blue my seatbelt stopped engaging. I was going to look up the part and do it myself, but, what if I did it wrong…? I found out it was covered under warranty. Ralf Erz: I factory ordered my Subaru here, because they are close to home and they participate in the Subaru VIP purchase program (many other dealers around here do not). My contacts were Ken G and Steve S. The process was straightforward with transparent pricing. No funny business with extra fees popping up etc.After ordering, the delivery took longer than anticipated (4 1/2 month), but that's on Subaru, not the dealer. Milford Subaru did provide me with a courtesy loaner vehicle for the last leg, as the delivery of my own car dragged out.Overall, I can very much recommend them for purchasing a Subaru because they are straightforward to deal with.

Michelle: I stopped in to Milford Subaru needing a headlight and air filter and just happened to be in the area. Parts and services was closed but I spoke to the lady in the office. She was awesome, kind and compassionate! I told her what I need and also asked if she knew if they did a buyers Inspection for people who are buying cars from private sale. I myself drive a Subaru and love it, but we have been looking for a first car for my new teen drive. She told me to call in the morning when parts and services were open, but assured me that they would be able to take care of it. I did call in the morning and again an amazing experience! Services was able to get us in same day. They were thorough and gave us a fair price quote for things that would need to be fixed! I honestly haven't had customer service like this in a long time! I watched the service guy interact with customers I'm assuming have been going there for year, at least that's how they treated each and everyone of them! My car is fairly new still, but when I'm ready to trade up, I know who just earned my business. Keep up the amazing job Milford Subaru!

I have always been a Subaru Outback family (We have 3, and my Dad and sister own one too) and have lived in 5 different states while doing so. Chad and Josh took the time to explain what was needed to get my daughter's car in excellent driving condition as she would be off to college. I think if every service manager and mechanic were like Milford, NH... No one would ever want anything but a Subaru. I would absolutely recommend this service center to everyone who wants professional, caring, and knowledgeable service. Gautam Ramchandani: Went to the new magnificent service center - what a great upgrade from the old center. Had to wait for over 4 hours while the car was being serviced. There were a number of desks with comfortable office chairs and power outlets /USB charging ports. There were many snacks, soft drinks and coffee to ward off my hunger and thirst.Yvonne was my service advisor and she was superb. When she found out that my car would take another two hours to get my new tires balanced and mounted, she arranged for a Lyft ride home and back. Seems like the dealership upgraded service staff for a superlative customer experience in their new center.

Lydia Nichols: To Whom It May Concern,Spare of the moment I stopped by IRA SUBARU in Danvers, Mass for an oil change and tire rotation and alignment They were able to fit me in in such short notice.The representative Roger was in contact with me at all times.The mechanic also, kept Roger informed that there was a safety issue with l lower arm and bushings.Since it being a safety issue I decided to have it done.I feel as though my vehicle seems to be ok now.But, I know we all want to make money but I think your pricing is high. I know the labor is high.All in all I am pleased with the mechanic to keep me safe and Roger in communicating with meRegards,Lydia
Steven Paris: Car shopping at Ira was about the most painless car buying experience I've ever had.I went in late in the day (after 4:00 pm) to take a test drive of a CrossTrek.I came back to the dealership, thought about the vehicle and decided to purchase.I left the dealership about 90 minutes later - driving my new CrossTrek home! In 50 years of buying cars, I have never brought my old car in and driven away in a new car the same day! Everything was computerized, fast, and efficient.I came back 2 days later for the registration & inspection sticker. The salesman, Jack, has kept in touch and several times has asked how I'm enjoying the new SUV.I would definitely recommend Ira Subaru, Subaru in general, and the CrossTrek. This is the perfect vehicle for me, not too large or small, very comfortable, with lots of safety features, and all-wheel drive. I got the plug-in hybrid which I can charge using just the wall outlet in my garage. I have not had to fill my gas tank in the 2+ weeks I've had the SUV - it's been mainly all-electric.Hope this review helps anyone planning a new vehicle purchase, specifically a Subaru. Ira is a great place to buy! Make sure you see Jack! 🙂

The facility is brand new. Clean and professional. Their waiting room area is great too, fast WiFi, free drinks and yummy coffee. I am very pleased with my purchase and to have worked with this team. Hitting the Gong at the end was pretty fun too!

Madina K: Update:Despite Rosco asking for me to reach out by responding to this review he should be aware that I have reached out multiple times to him and his team and I have yet to get a response. Please actually call me instead of leaving a review. I’ve left multiple voicemails.Buying from this dealership in January has been such a headache. For making such a big purchase, the customer service experience has been completely disappointing, transactional and the ball was dropped many times. Rosco has tried to make it right but unfortunately it’s been one disappointment after the other and I’ve been extremely patient. I’m surprised that the ratings on google are this high. Make sure to check the other ratings on the other websites before purchasing. I just felt like another transaction for them. Here are only some of the experiences I had with them.1. Sold the car with a dead battery which they replaced2. I was told the starter of the car going to go out soon by a mechanic3. I’m afraid there are Potential Engine problems that will come up to the surface in the future.3. My title of the car was never given to the lender. It’s been 3 months.4. communication in the company is disorganized and it’s painful to get someone to call me back.5. Was sold the resist all package but never given resist all supplies.

A M: It pains me to have to knock off two stars but it’s such a small but important detail that it boggles the mind how it was missed. I thought everything was great with the 12k service on my WRX until the next day when I opened the glove box and instead the usual slow opening, it just fell out just like in my late dad’s East German car. The technician never connected the small damper after changing the cabin filter. Really guys? Come on now. Details matter. Pay attention. I couldn’t pull the box out by myself to try to reconnect it, so I have to go back.Update: they have definitely improved. It’s still a long wait if you’re not leaving your car there.

Grace Kalisa: My experience here was very excellent. Mr. Sharbee and Max explain In details and tell the facts about the car. They are patient and speak slowly so the person can understand.
Greg Shepard: Typical dealership tricks, this place is the reason people hate buying or leasing a car. I was not impressed with the sales process (made appointment to see a specific car/vin# that was listed on the web site as in stock and available, yet it wasn't there the next morning even though I made an appointment to look at and BUY that specific car. When I showed up at the dealership, I was given an option of other 2 cars that were available to me or wait for delivery from somewhere else. Saw something on our web page? Too bad, not available.The finance department acted completely illegally by adding mandatory options to my lease and told me that I needed to accept them. I said no and removed the charges from I Ipad. The finance person put the options back on said had to accept the add-on cost because it was "built in" to the lease price. That was not true and a fraudulent statement. I signed whatever he told me I had to do just to get out of the room and stop this high pressure add-on. I then called back to cancel the deal and call out their tactics.The dealerships response was to "make it right" which really means make it legal, barely. I had to go back a resign all the paperwork to remove a mandatory option that I openly objected to, that is, fabric stain insurance, an add on for $1200.00. The funny thing is, they claim this insurance process is a "protective" that they "apply" to the car. When I didn't want it, they said it was already done and that it was now complimentary.What was most irritating was the dealerships insistence that I rate them 10 out of 10. They called me for days remining me how important a 10 star rating means to them. I gave them the ten star rating just so they stop calling me. I certainly didn't want these crooks harassing me after the sale as well. Overall, it wasn't a positive experience. I came out with a car....it wasn't the car I chose, and it wasn't the car I wanted. The negotiation process with FINANCE was horrible but I did leave with a well build vehicle after only about 4 days.Subaru has a great reputation for social responsibility and I wish I could purchase a car directly from the manufacturer without having to associate with dealerships like this. Acton Subaru? Not recommended unless you like paying extra for things you probably don't want.

Erik worked with us to get a great deal on the new vehicle and a very fair offer on our trade. We were very satisfied and the deal was done.Our new Subaru Outback Wilderness is AWESOME. If you are in the market for a Subaru you should check out McGovern Subaru of Acton and ask for Erik if you want a no pressure experience.

Antoine Benoit: Bought a certified used car a few weeks ago (2019 Mazda CX-5) and honestly was a smooth and efficient experience. Max was helpful and transparent throughout and the front desk guys are great.Overall, from purchase to getting the car in hand was 4 days including waiting for payment to clear over a weekend and a quick look over the car before pickup. Would buy another car here again.
