Lowell National Historical Park Visitor Center: what do users think?
Greg G: What a wonderful trip through history. If you visit the Cotton mill, just know that for those with sensitive ears and sensory issues, it is LOUD. The auto-looms have a lot of fast-moving parts. I can't even imagine how loud it would have been with the factory fully operational. The visitors center has all of the standard fair of national park souvenirs, the park rangers are friendly, helpful and informative. The history on display is incredible.Being from Western Massachusetts, all I learned about Lowell in school was about the drug epidemic in the 90s. This changed my whole perspective. I never knew Lowell was the first great American Industrial City and that other cities were designed from what they learned in Lowell.Watch the 15-minute video. it's worth it. Im so grateful that it's preserved for future generations to see.

Lucia: Helpful advice on where to visit - there are many locations throughout lowell that are owned and maintained by the national park service. I recommend going here to help plan out your trip to the rest of the national park, as there isn't much to see at the actual visitor center.Visited on Weekday …More
Tammie Pelosi: Nice place to visit. Great history!
Stephen & Kathy Brassard: This was another check mark on our list to view All National Parks. This one is different because it is in the middle of downtown Lowell.Although, construction made the self walking tour a bit challenging. We were able to find our way with the help of people. We visited the large manufacturing building where they made cloth. This was amazing and loud.We learned much about the hazardous conditions and long work hours women worked. We returned to the center for a canal tour. You must make reservations for these. This was the highlight of the day. We again walked a short ways to the canal boat dock. During the way our guide told us about the history and current project going on with the canals. We boarded a boat and a leisurely ride down the canal followed. While our guide pointed out specific things. It was all in all a beautiful and informative day.
Richard Wildhirt: Rather small and anticlimactic, but the museum makes up for it.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry Free …More
Dona Pagano Denny: The Lowell National Historic Place is fantastic. There is so much to see connected to the early days of weaving in the mills. Even a short film. There's a Jack Karoac exhibit. There's also the National Park to explore, and a trolley to take your around town.

Lowell National Historical Park: what do users think?
Ivania Rodrigues: Good
Barbara Smith: We drove 150 miles out of our way to visit this site. We checked the website and it gave us the hours. We arrived to find a note on the door saying it would be closed until April 23.Great job on updating the info guys. Really lame that no one thought to do that.
Donna Hill: Its one of Lowell's Historical Buildings located in downtown Lowell. This building was converted into nice units.
Vassilios Giavis: Beautif buildings and interesting history
Alex McDonnell: For the history buff...
Geoffrey Feldman: Not how most conceive of a national park but the history is broad and deep. Restaurants and attractions around are like a world cultural tour.
Stephen Lamarre: This is such a great place to go to learn the history of how things were manufactured in the early days and a lot of the events are free to attend.
Jarrod Pappalardo: Clean

David Kalian: Going to the state park headquarters was a mistake. Look for the mill building. It's a single building walkthrough during the winter time which is when we went. But it was an awesome exhibit. During the summer time they open other buildings and there are chores.
