BATTER-UP GAMING & SPORTSCARDS: what do users think?
Mr. “Dwayne” Emo: Says it's open 7 Days a week just showed up on sunday at 4:11pm store wasn't open and online says open until 6pm don't know what happen but I was hoping to pick up some cards but I guess I'll be needing to wait until my next day off.
John Baumgardner: These guys are the best. Very knowledgeable great selection.
Mike Bentley: love this place they have stuff you will not find a any other store I like that they make the store there brand with made up envelopes with auto cards in them I think it's 3 envelopes baseball, football, basketball, hockey pick 3 10.99$ or 12.99$ I not sure witch price but they have 1 auto in each and a list of chase cards
BJ Jr: At least 20-25% more expensive than online stores. Not sure how this place stays in business.
Joseph Chow: They sell 9-pocket card pages and magazine pages (4 for $1). Excellent customer service. They sell toys, games and school supplies also.
Erica Belliveau: I’ve been going to batter up since I was a little kid I absolutely love this store they have so many trading cards from football and baseball to lots and lots of Pokémon cards and items. They have like everything in the store definitely go in and check it out I’m sure you will leave with at least some thing in your hand!
Tommy Greenberg: Horrible store and the owner bill is a giant tool not worth wasting your money supporting this store if you want a good card shop best to look elsewhere
Joe Dagati: Best around
John Donovan: Fantastic Sports Cards Store Great " Atmosphere Excellent Service .
Richard Gervais: Jim was very helpful and knowledgeable. He goes the extra mile to help his customers.
Keith Osgood: I went here as a kid to buy my Pokémon and other stuff and now I am bringing my kids for the same things and they absolutely have the best selection and prices I am very happy with the service we received and even more happy my son pulled and ultra rare charzard v max worth over 1000$ Along with a bunch of other good pulls in other packs this place is ledgit !
Moar Owns: Possible shady/ weighing cards.•Went before closing for a booster, guy grabbed a box behind the front box (said he did so because it was tightly wrapped) went to the car and opened it. Fake packs all of them, the booster was completely fake. Went back into the store (he had closed at this point) and got a real booster (checked before I left) owner said “could have been the Sunday employee who might have taken a swapped return”. Beware what you buy here. Possibly sketchy possibly not.
Seto Kaiba: Absolutely phenomenal service! I have fun whenever I go to the Yu Gi Oh tournaments even if I lose. It is really awesome how I am treated. I've made a lot of friends and they even sell cheap cards from many different sets. Excellent service and everyone is friendly
five rings: Good place for card collectors. Pricing is in line, not inflated. Also they do collectible card game tournaments.
Jerry In: I've been around to a bunch of other card shops and this one is extremely overpriced, better off finding a different shop. They don't really trade or buy either. Small amount of singles in the cases that aren't desirable. Its got ac though.
Jack Rabbit: Great people there, I showed up early, someone showed up two seconds later, and let me come in with them, I thought I might have to wait for them to get ready.Great cards, I wish I had more time to look around.. Thanks and see you soon.
Unbothered_Chi: My first time going over to grab some packs of yugioh cards & I ended up leaving with a booster box of yugioh cards! The customer service was very friendly, helpful & they had a great attitude towards everything ! Also to anyone complaining about when they’re open & closed, it would be a bright idea to call before heading over. You never know the situation to why they may be closed on a day they would normally be open ! Keep up the great work over at batter-up !
Frank Concemi: The prices are competitive and the staff were very friendly. They also had a decent selection. I will definitely be going back soon.
Steve Whitton: Prices are horrible. Better off buying online lol, there is no point of this store existing to be honest. Not sure how it survives.
Tomy AMZN: HORRIBLE PRICES DO NOT RECOMMEND
Frank Kirk: Nice store with a large selection and fair prices. Owner just seemed like a good person.Edit: Jan 2021They have adjusted their pricing to be just as expensive as eBay if not more on baseball cards. It is a nice store, but there's literally no point for me to drive to it when I can just buy anything online cheaper and quicker

Mint Collectibles: what do users think?
patrick brennan: Mostly overpriced, I understand making a profit in a business..but some of the stuff in there is absolute highway robbery. Be vigilant and don't bring your cards here. Sell them on ebay. Or anywhere else for that matter. "Extremely" low ball offers on high end cards. Won't be returning anytime soon.
Michael Calma: The owner was a very pleasant gentleman.Knew I was new to his shop and was very patient with my needs.I like to collect Pokémon cards with Swirls, and he had plenty of single upgraded cards I was able to select from.
Vexton Intache: Went in for the first time today, and I was impressed by the large selection of collectable figures, cards and comic books. I found collections of comics that I had been seeking out for months. Will 100% be back to this local shop!.
Daniel Howard: First time visitor. Amazing service and comics. Owner is very helpful. Saw some really nice Golden Age comics. Will return with more $.
Jason Sargent: I love to search out comic stores when traveling for business, and got lucky on my 2nd night of searching and found this store. (The first night found one of the 'chain comic stores' that started in this area, and the less said about that store the better)Mint Collecatibles seems small on the outside, but there are some impressive comics in this shop. I chatted with the owner for a good long while when I shopped--from what he tells me if it's open he's the one working, as it's his labor of love. You can tell from the selection, too. He's got a great selection of 'wall books' with some fantastic keys--and I'm pretty sure that every single book I saw was in the best condition I'd ever seen that book in--I found a couple of pristine grails and some collection fillers, and they were all fairly priced and in terrific shape. The grading was accurate as well. For those in the know he had a Hulk 102 that was probably in the 7.5-8.0 range and at least 4 copies of SM 300 both graded and ungraded. You'll also have to shop there in person, as there's no internet shop for this store (hooray for not competing against other bidders!).He was grading a really gorgeous golden age collection when I got there, and was happy to show them to me while we discussed the hobby. He knows what he's talking about, and made me a very fair deal when I was finally ready to check out.I'm assuming if you're reading this you probably are a comic collector, but just in case some other search brought you here I will say he had a nice wall of sports cards both graded and ungraded, a large collection of toys and a LOT of pops--none of that stuff is really my jam so I can't speak to pricing, selection, etc, but it looked like an impressive amount. If you're searching for a comic shop in the Boston area it's worth the drive to visit Mint Collectibles.
Dhruvin Patel: Great shop, everything is organized and the owner Jon is always helpful, the have nice collection of comics & trading cards.
Evan Holman: Cool collectibles shop, had a little bit of everything. Clean and organized however the owner rubbed me the wrong way, got the sense that he didn’t want me in there. Asked for a price on a Westbrook rookie auto BGS 9.5. It was somewhat out of my price range so I said I would pass and I could tell he was annoyed by that. Then asked about some Select basketball hangers he had behind the counter and he told me he was holding them for a “regular” customer but he hasn’t come by to get them in a few days. However, he still wouldn’t even sell one to me. Just a bad way to do business, was ready to buy but not happy with that interaction. Guess he would rather sell to a regular customer that he most likely will never lose over a brand new customer. Not going back and I don’t recommend you guys go eitherResponse to owner: Hope it’s worth retaining a regular over gaining a new customer that would continue to spend money there in the future. I’ll stick with Batter Up in Tewksbury thank you very much.
Nate Rivers: Clean store, well organized. Person working was incredibly friendly and helpful. I can't speak to anything outside of comic books here but this place has some incredible stock at fair values. I can't wait to return.
Justin Baker: This place is awesome. Both me and my 8 year old son love going there.
Ian Kannaly: Has lot of bargains if u look ,great comic books bought a doc savage no1, 50 bucks love it, he fairin all looked sum up he's ballpark will shop agian
Kevin Mitchell: Fantastic collection and extremely friendly!
Alex: Fantastic service went in searching for a Christmas present for my friend and found a board game that was used the owner replaced all the parts that were missing and sold it at a more than fair price
Brendan MacInnis: My favorite card store around. The owner is nice and helpful, the store is always stocked, clean, and interesting to take a look around at all the different things they sell. I go very often and appreciate the good condition of everything, sealed or single. Other stores around here can have bent cards, crushed boxes, etc. Great place to check out for sports or pokemon cards, comics, figures, or just to look.
Marcello Auriti: This shop is truly a hidden gem that deserves more recognition. My main hobby is Magic The Gathering, and John has always been very fair with pricing. Mint Collectibles has become my go-to store for all my MTG and Pokemon cards. They have some truly uniquely rare cards on display for sale, and their comic selection is impressive for a small store. I have not had any experience selling cards, so I can't speak to that just yet.
Matthew Jones: Great local comic shop. Have gone in a few times and they always have plenty of issues of the new comics. Went in yesterday with my son and was beyond helpful. My son opened a Gold Pokemon card in the shop and the owner gave him a free card case to keep it safe. Highly recommend and will be back often.
Daniel Sclafani: This small shop has a shockingly large variety of items. Everything was organized well, and priced rather fairly in my opinion.I would absolutely stop in and give a look if in the area.
Max Arenburg: I entered the store looking to browse the dollar bin. Upon entering the store, I saw many key books I wanted, I ended up spending $400 on one book. This is the best comic book store in the state
Marcia Murphy: The owner, Jon, is very helpful and honest. He was so generous with his time and expertise. The shop is well organized and full of interesting cards and comic books.
David J Sullivan: Great little shop. Small business. I met with John. He was great. I introduced myself and my son to him, he was pleasant and polite. My son was looking to sell a valuable Pokémon card. His card had some wear and John did a great job explaining how card value works and he made my son a very fair offer. I really appreciate that he took my son's request seriously and treated him with respect. I will be a loyal customer based on this first impression. Thank you John and Mint. Appreciate the great service.
hey big phil: I love this Place ....HeyBigPhil.com
Rob Fri: This place is a joke. I brought a stack of PRICED comics up to the counter just to have them tell me that the comics are not for sale. Thought this place could have potential but, it is just as shady as all the other shops in the area.Response- not sour, just annoyed you literally watched me go through them 3 feet in front of you in plain sight and you didn’t say one word of it being a problem and that those boxes are off limits. Also me wanting to spend $70 really isn’t getting books for peanuts. Also a friendly jester,I’d recommend putting a cover on the lids, don’t have prices on them if they are truly Unprocessed, keep them behind your counter or a simple note saying keep out.

Legends Comix and Games: what do users think?
Ryan: This shop is in beautiful condition - and if you're there for gaming I'm guessing you'll be very happy - but the comic section is extremely disappointing. They have pretty worthless comics for cover price but anything of any value is EXTREMELY overpriced, set at mint condition prices, even though the books are around 2.0 - 4.0 condition and stored in cloudy, old bags with no boards.
Michael Calma: Customer service 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟Reasonably priced. Local business that isn't trying to rip you off 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟Selection of products 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟Heavily focused on MAGIC
Dave Grimm: Friendly, helpful staff in a cozy welcoming environment. This is one of my favorite gaming spots!
Paul H: Staff is terrific- always helpful and courteous
Peter Kelly: Seems like a cool place. They are moving in mid august to a new location so make sure to look for their new location
Vexton Intache: A great place to find comic books, board games, tabletop supplemetaries and even tabletop miniatures! Reccomend this place to anyone who is into any Tabletop hobbies!
noahjam326: One of the best and most welcoming gaming stores I've ever been to. My friends and I have been shopping here for years. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about everything they offer. They have some of the best customer service of any business I've ever dealt with.
Bob Kelly: Excellent service and knowledgable, friendly staff!
Tim Ryan: Nice little shop, eclectic selection with some surprising gems
Alicia: Awesome store with a great selection. The gaming space looks very comfortable.
Joel Carlson: Great store, good owners, solid selection of games and comics. CLEAN. Decent set of back issue bins.Inventory is not massive, but they are willing to order items for you, and can also setup a subscription.Onsite gaming available. FNM.
Brian Dupuis: So happy to have a local game store in my hometown and one that's so awesome about events! I am an avid MTG player and just started attending FNM at Legends and even with a 0-2-1 record, I had a blast! The environment and staff are so welcoming and I can't wait to head back next Friday with friends. If you need gaming supplies, a new game for your friends or family, or some comics, Legends has a wide spread for such a small store. If you need an LGS and can make it to Legends, I highly recommend them!
Christopher Zhang: Great place! Friendly, good place to play MTG
Bill Norrish (Blue Wing Olive): Great shop for comics and games. Awesome customer service from passionate and knowledgeable staff.
Lord Tremendous: I like this place. Clean, well stocked, and the staff is always friendly. If they don't have something I'm looking for they always know how to find it, and the prices are always excellent. There's been a few times where I was surprised by how cheap some items were.Great store, check it out if you get a chance!
Rob B: Decent selection of comics and small selection of trades.
Hunter Thoen: Very friendly service, and lots of knowledge about their products. Willing to put in the time and research to accommodate your requests.
Patrick Kirane: Good place. Good selection of minis, comics, board games, and tabletop rpg's. Includes some nice areas to play. Pre-ordering is easy on their website.
Colin R: Tiny selection and incredibly overpriced. Stopped while in the area looking to buy MTG booster boxes. Had to walk out when they gave the prices. $150 for a draft booster box and $195 for a set booster box both boxes were kaldheim. I’ve seen some price gouging before but this was insanity. Avoid this store at all costs for your MTG needs, can almost buy 2 boxes of set boosters for their price of 1
Julia Oliveira: Legendary, managed to snag the done neat stuff
mark meninger: Great selections ! Great people. Every thing is well organized, neat and clean. Highly recommended!

Chris's Cards & Comics: what do users think?
Rick M.: I found this place by accident while running an errand in the next state over. Great comic shop with tons of great buys. Found a key issue I've been searching for at a fantastic price.Extremely knowledgeable and courteous. Will definitely visit this shop next time I'm in the area.Edit: Over a year later and I still stop by this shop every chance I get.
Matthew Lightizer: Very knowledgeable staff. Nice clean shop.
Xana Yoshi: They have very reasonable prices on figures. Employees don't badger you. Decent older Manga, too.
Jacob Steen: Great place, friendly and larger selection of Cards, and Comic books. Thanks Chris Comics.
John Stella: My girlfriend heard about the solid selection of 50 cent, $1 and their TB selection. We took the ride from Boston excited to check it out. Her, being a new collector looking for some series to get into was exciting for both of us.We came into the store and was impressed at first. Then we started going through the 50 cent books in the 1st room and noticed the cashier looking at us multiple times. I left the room with about 10 and her 20ish from there. We proceed to look in the other room and we went through the dollar picks to see what would catch her eye. All good there. So then we proceeded to their big (main) room where I was looking for specific titles and just whatever caught my eye. As I was going through the bins trying to look, my GF and I couldn't help but notice one of the workers walking back and forth between the front and another closed door room in the back. We really wanted to look but she started feeling uncomfortable that we were constantly being watched repeatedly, as if we were going to steal and 50 cent-5 dollar comics. I'm a 38 year comic book collector. The fact this gentleman was so noticable watching us, I put away some extra comics I had planned on purchasing and we decided to get the hell outta there. So in total, I only spent $15 and she spent 31.50. The week before at Comically Speaking, we dropped twice that amount and maybe would have if we weren't so uncomfortable being followed and stared at. We do not recommend this store. While it has a better comic selection than Newbury comics, between the average comics and horrible service, we will never go there again and spend our money on places worth our time and investment. 1 star is generous.
Matthew Boston: Went here for the first time today, looking for comics for my kids. The employee running the store was very helpful and friendly. They had a whole section of 50 cent comics with all the big name heroes. Great experience
Quinn P (Quinsanity): Decent store. Has variety but not so friendly service. Not a welcoming atmosphere. Guy running the counter was just rude
Todd Baxter: Not being a collector nor doing very much research I brought in a tomb of Dracular 10 blades first appearance and was told it is only worth $50 I sold it to them for 35$ come to find out in the condition was in it was worth at the very least $275 I feel like I was scammed
Jeremiah Jones-Goldstein: Great shop! I was traveling on a day off and wanted to find a new comic shop. The inventory and prices were excellent. Old comics, cheap comics, not so cheap comics and tons of new stuff. I found some great deals and was very pleased. Clean place & friendly staff. Also there seemed to be an impressive collection of sport cards, pokemon and related. Will definitely visit again when I'm in the area.
Ray Veguilla: I found a comic that came out a month ago and I liked the a, b, c covers. I went to check out along with a few other back issues and the person checking me out said I could only get one of the variants of the book. I asked him if it was a joke and I picked the a cover. If I did not want the other back issues as much I would of just left, will never go to Chris’ shop again.
Gabe Birger: Really neat space with tons of selections!
Eli Hb8er: Big selection nice place
Nate Rivers: Lots of comics here at good prices. Fun place to go and browse around.
Garrett Compton: Tons of vintage sports cards, comics, and various other trading cards. Fantastic prices for everything in store. Prices are so good in fact that I went back a second day in a row to spend more money I don't have.
Khadi Mame: Great selection and really helped with me expanding my collection. Also very kind. Thank you
Lissa S: Nice selection. Stopped on our way through from Massachusetts.
Paul DeVito III: Hadnt been in many years and it was awesome. I could put a blindfold on and dig through backstock and still come up with goodies.
john jordan: Huge selection of comics, some collectables and cards. 2nd floor. Great shop
Ariel Farley: Hi me and my bf came in and he said chris said old comic books paper in thw 1950-1970s paper was pure white ??? Chris is that true im jw because i thought back then they didnt use bleach at that point ...?
Dustin Lachance: Very cool place, lots of variety and everything is organized. Good vibes.
Tamira Beth Stephens: They're great.

New England Sportscards: what do users think?
Tom Wahl: So many cards!!!! Located in a super cool place!!
Joe St. Pierre: Best card shop in New England! The owner is very helpful and knowledgeable about cards and the hobby. The prices are good too. I'll be coming back here for sure.
Derek Sykes: Worst place ever guy sees pictures of what I have for cards and has me drive an hr for him to tell me he doesn't want anything because he doesn't know a damn thing about sports cards wouldn't recommend him to anyone wasted my time and money to get there.
Chip Smith: Traveled to the area from away for school shopping and a quick Google search brought me and my son to this shop. My son pulled some great cards out of some sealed packs. The owner was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend checking New England Sportscards out.
Matthew: Awesome selection of single cards and what they have for sealed product.
Jason Bishop: Great selection, people, and prices
Michael Gann: New England Sports Cards in Amherst, NH has drastically increased their stock of stubbles, packs, retail blasters and hobby boxes in the last year. Their prices are solid, right around market value and competitive with other shops in the area. The store is always pleasent to visit and hang for a while to talk sports and hobby. They are only 2 minutes off 101 making it easy in and out without wasting time in traffic or driving side roads. I highly recommend New England Sports Cards to any collector.
Ferdinando Capellupo: Got to the flea market on a sunday. Around 10 am most off the sellers were gone.
Juliette Daniels: Helpful, always has good stock! My grandson LOVES going in.
Allen Bordeleau: Bryan was helpful and a good time to hang and chat with. Definitely will be going back! Pulled some heat after finally stopping in the shop. Really cool chill place he's got there. Thanks again for the sweet Pitts pull !
Tom Barker: Found them to be very overpriced, buyer beware. Not a bad collection though, but everything was 4-5X what you can find on ebay. Hope local card shops can find a way to normalize pricing or they are going to go out of business. If I can buy a book at a bookstore for just a little more than whats on amazon I would to support local business, but this place was pretty outrageous.
Lois E: Abundant variety of memorabilia worth a trip
Wilhelmina Kidd: Bryan Parker (the new owner of NES) has been working very hard to continue his father's (Bruce Parker) business and everyone can see all the great improvements at the store. He's continuing to add more variety of trading cards and products and you will find that the prices are reasonable and cheaper than the other stores. One of the best part about the store is that Bryan is so friendly and personable like his father and you can contact him directly if you have any questions about products or pricing. Great stuff! Check out the store and see for yourself!
Stephen Meader: Very personable - was able to give me a very fair price for the cards I had. Extremely knowledgeable people! Would recommend.
Mike D: Prices have drastically gone up since Bruce is no long running the shop. Most boxes are above Ebay comps, which defeats the purpose of a local card shop. Will find plenty of stock, just be prepared to pay more than expected. I still enjoy going in and window shopping but it's getting harder to find a reason to buy in store vs online.
Shawn Milligan: Bruce is the man!!! He has great cards at great prices! Go in and check it out.
Wesley Tonnesen: Really awesome place to shop for cards with great prices
Jennifer Tramack: I loved it. I love the new location and the treasures, antiques and collectables & more store.

The Lamp & Dragon: what do users think?
jay vyas: Real wooden game table (not Walmart plastic) that makes you savor every moment there.Extremely welcoming folks here. Please stop in and say hi to these wonderful folks. We need more community centered businesses like.this to.keep kids off their phones and engaged In the world
Disco MachineGunn: Amazing little hobby/card shop with an even more amazing staff and regulars. Brought my kid there for a Friday night magic and they were helpful with everything we needed to get started. Will definitely be going back!!
Louie D: Owner was friendly and helpful, community was nice! Shop has a decent amount of space for the crowd. Might be a little messy, but it’s cozy.
brian cross: Great place to go for weekly events. good and diverse meta. Great atmosphere and community. Ill definitely be back.
Jade Fitzgerald: Great little shop! If you're looking for a comfy spot to play some magic or hang out, this is definitely the perfect place.
Jason Avery: The Cashier was very polite. Lamp and Dragon has a very pleasant atmosphere and I will definitely be shopping here again.
Steven Dunkel: This place is great for FNM and weekend play! Friendly group of guys, fun in-house “wish box” for ‘play a card from outside your deck’ effects for commander and unique leagues. Worth it at least stopping by!
Glowy Coon: Do they hold DnD events here?
Mark Gimelberg: They weren't open because everything is closed in Ayer center on mondays for some reason, but 5*s for the cool name. I'll come back when they're open
Javier Baez Marquez: Rolled a d20 and that was the factor of this place getting a 5 star.
T Bradshaw: First visit, stopped in with my teen to check it out. Friendly, helpful people. Great vibe with lots to look at. Convenient, free on street parking downtown. Live tournaments on Fridays open to new - experienced players, young and old.
Matthew Kneeland: Very personable owner. Very helpful and great to do business with.
Liam Herrmann: Awesome
Damian Valley: Fairly small store, with great prices and a great manager/owner. The guys wicked chill and super helpful.
Xal Bilotta: Great atmosphere. Very small selection of singles but a fun place to play
Jeff Barrow: Love the team playing atmosphere here. comfortable place to gather as geeks play MtG, D&D and more.
Peter Card: Great shop and great group of patrons.
Richard Phung: This place is always closed. Hours posted dont match hours of operation. Singles selection is limited, sealed product availability is limited and price inflated. What is going on here?
Tariq Ruffin: Ed Rudd said his brother's Daughter had a shop and I see it Really does look cool there
Daniel Packard: I've been at the shop and spoken with the staff members and the owner on several occasions. The shop is small and humble but shows potential and will grow as more and more people come in. I've made many good friends here, and the atmosphere and staff work to make everyone feel comfortable and at home. They hold a decent variety of goods and as people show interest in new things they work to stock them. The shop works hard to please it's customers and is one of the best in downtown Ayer.
Andrew Brown: Kind staff, the store has a small business feel. Not much there in the way of merchandise available in the store, maybe just the more comic book selections, but the staff were willing to work with me to get what I needed.
