Hannah Powers: If I could give 10 stars I would. Impressed by not only the selection of corals and equipment, but the incredible staff is the best part of this store! Very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful! They walked me through step by step how to setup my first reef tank, answered all my questions and showed me various products depending on my price range. I now make a visit at least once a week! I seriously cannot stress how awesome this place is, truly a hidden gem!

Max: Love the Reef is the best reef shop in Mass hands down. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are happy to answer questions and offer advice regardless of your experience level. They have beautiful and healthy fish, inverts and coral, clean tanks, a huge selection of additives, food, and gear, and they can test your water to boot. Best prices around, too. Place rules!
Kyle Benison: Definitely one of the best reef stores in the area. Always an amazing and wide selection of corals, wide ranging, and fair prices from beginner corals to rare collectibles, small frags to larger colonies. Great selection of food, plumbing parts, live and dry rock, and fish too. Check their weekly updates for fish and call ahead as the store gets busy and can sell through a lot of their fish stock in a weekend.

Eric Sullivan: I've had plenty of experience on the freshwater side of the hobby, but only recently started up a saltwater system. As such I made it a point to visit (or revisit) all the aquarium stores within the greater Boston area to gauge where I would be making my saltwater livestock purchases from. You can tell a lot about an aquarium store based on how well maintained their systems are and I was shocked by the wide range that I encountered. Quite frankly there are some that I don't think I would ever dare buy livestock from, even with extensive quarantining before adding to my display tank. Love the Reef is by far the nicest I've encountered. Display, coral, and fish tanks all look great. Selection is good as are their prices. The staff is friendly and super helpful. IMO this is the type of aquarium store you should support with your business.

Jennifer Englund: What a great shop - lots of colonies so you can see what frags will grow into, unique coral selection at all price points, great invert selection (I’ve been looking for cerith snails for ages). Clam the size of a football! Great prices too. A must stop if you have a reef tank.

Jon_the_13: Smaller in size than most reef shops in Mass & NH, but with WAY more substance. Packed with stunning coral frags and colonies at value prices, a very solid selection of RELIABLE equipment, and healthy livestock. Not to mention a friendly environment and knowledgable customer service. My only gripe would maybe be their more limited hours/days of operation, but understandable for a shop so fine tuned by attentive owners, absolutely worth waiting for. Pound for pound the best LFS in New England.
Mike: I go to a lot of reef stores, but I have not yet had the courage to start a salt water tank. This place seems like the best stocked, best maintained and friendliest place in eastern Massachusetts. It’s a really pretty place to be, the people seem knowledgeable, and the variety of fish and coral is to die for. one day I’ll have a clown fish of my own.

Great communication, customer service, quality, and they keep my parents’ 150gallon mixed reef tank looking fantastic.Myk is extremely knowledgeable and is coordinating a 375 gallon fish only tank with us. From start to finish they will be the only ones I trust to go with.Jarrett comes every two weeks for the 150 and is amazing. He interacts with our crazy house (dogs, toddler, adults) like he is part of the family and I have never seen a healthier tank.Will always go to them for all aquarium needs. They quarantine everything item before it goes into our tanks. But even I am guilty of the LFS impulse buys that we all do.

N: Called aquatic creations looking to have out 36 gallon tank cleaned periodically and Literally havent even had them come out to do service yet and mike the owner is already AMAZING!! I was calling to let him know of an important scheudle change and couldn't do the apt time this week and he answers at 10:08 I had just expected leave a message. Above and beyond!!! I called other day to make apt and ask few questions he returned my call about hour later he is fantastic and his response time is even better I cannot wait to have them come clean our tank and pretty sure if the customer service reflects their quality I'll be calling them back many more times fabulous 1st time experiance. Keep up the amazing work
Kristina Roberts: Jason and his crew are AMAZING. They have been providing exceptional services for my 160 fish tank since Dec 2018. Jason’s team are very professional and a trustworthy. They are always available to provide guidance, advice and emergency service calls at a moments notice. The business practices that Jason and Co. provides is one that others should emulate. I wouldn’t trust my water babies to no one else.

Ryan Mahoney: Very knowledgeable. I've been fighting a problem with algae in our tank for months, and have tried several products suggested by other pet stores, none of which worked. Fish Nook suggested one simple fix, I tried it and the water was clear within an hour. Do yourself a favor, save your time and money and start here.

Lydia Roberts: I see a few people talking about the staff not being friendly but my experience was different. About 2 weeks ago I was going to get some Guinea pig food and saw the rabbits. The guy working let me hold her and I fell in love with her. Just the other day I went back and bought her. The staff was very friendly and helped me bring everything to my car. I definitely recommend. I also go there for all my pet supplies and they never disappoint 👏👏
CHRIS LOOMER: I do not like how this place is a fish tank Infront of a window the has the fish nook pet center the fish tank is not clean and under that tank there is a Koi fish a big one and it pond is not big and the gueani pig are on cages but have to where to hit and same for the gerble and he has a use tank with a broken light and selling it for 140 buck I will not recommend this place to anyone

The pet selection was pretty good and the staff were nice, but on the other hand the store was quite dirty and the prices were vary high, even considering it is a small pet store. I would not recommend going to this store Unless you are in need of pet supplies and have no where else to go.

Ian Steedman: It was my first time shopping here, bought some fish for my boys as a Christmas gift. Prices are higher than other stores.The fish immediately started dying within days of them being home. They were placed in a well established planted tank that has never had issues. They are showing signs of ich and fin-rot. One has already died and I'm trying to save the other two in a quarantine tank. The return policy is basically "if they want to" and store credit only. I will shop elsewhere.

Paul McCarthy: I have an extensive bird sanctuary in my back yard, I wanted to have two parakeets for inside my home. A very nice sales associate helped me choose two females to bring home. She also helped me select a habitat, food and toys, she was great.I have been thrilled with my parakeets.I now have a new one year old Sealyham that will be enrolled in adult basic obedience with Kristen.

Steph Rose: I visit this petco regularly and rarely need assistance as it’s a quick in and out, grab dog food and joint supplements and I’m out the door in under 10 minutes. I’ve recently had some issues with one of my dogs who has an ultra sensitive stomach. I couldn’t remember if I had last bought the chicken or lamb recipe and asked the cashier (Andrew- I believe) if he could look up my pals account to see which one I last bought. He happily assisted me and the computers were running a bit slow. He called for a backup cashier as I noticed a line was forming behind me. I asked if I could just return the bag if I got home and realized it was the wrong one but at that point he was committed to helping me find the answer. Thank dog he did because I had picked up the wrong bag of food. Thank you SO much for saving me an extra trip to the store (and saving my pup from a few days of diarrhea)

sam: was absolutely devastated at the condition that their poor ferrets were living in! ferrets need exercise and plenty of room, and while i understand that this is a store and cannot provide stellar care, these ferrets were living in a small tank-like enclosure, which is not at all healthy for them. ferrets need much larger enclosures with better air flow, and preferably with more areas for them to hide and burrow, seeing as that is in their nature and it gives them anxiety to go without it. there were also many racks of beta fish living in individual plastic containers that left them no room to swim, and were stationed directly next to each other, which aggravates and stresses beta fish. almost all of the fish were just floating because they didn't have room to swim. i came into the store just to pick up something for my cat and left with a pit in my stomach :(
