GameStop: what do users think?
edgardo rivera: Went on my lunch break to try and pre order the zelda pro controller Yesterday Wednesday 03/29 and was welcomed with a due to short staffing hour may be irregular and now I'll probably have to buy one from a scalper awesome service get it together jesus
Nick Gagnon: I haven't been inside a GameStop in about 5 years and now I remember why. No customer service at all. If you don't want to answer questions and deal with people then the person who was working should find a different job.
Angie Lopez: Awesome
Mike Maccaro: Lots of help from staff and open later than most
Fishy TheTrueGod: Amazing customer service. Helped me find information that i didn’t know about my purchases and the things i desired to make gain my moneys worth in what i wanted.
Melinda Gvn: Great customer service.
Marisol C: Found great deals at great prices..xbox..remote controllers and battery chargers
Kiettisack Xiong: I called to ask if they had any available pokemon sword and shield codes left and they said they had one more. I didn't make it on time to grab the last one but a gamestop employee gave me her code instead. She didn't have too and I am so grateful for her kindness. Thank you so much!
Sophia Cormier: I love going into GameStop so much! It’s always full of awesome things.
Frank Lacey: Great store
Vincent Lee: Richard was very helpful. Helped me saved money and did not complain about helping me and price checking . Ty I'm glad I don't need to travel to the GS in trapelo way for good service
Kallme Diggs: Impeccable customer service from Richard and Ash. Helping me with my PS4 trade in, pro membership, upcoming events and game drops, assisted me with picking games for my kids Nintendo as well, all while greeting and tending to other customers in the store. This team sets the bar high !!!
Phil Gentile: Great staff.good people. Ready to help
Frank Gifritta: Always a good time for the kids!
Gilberto Gomez: Divertido
kerianne maloof: Earlier today my friend went to the Plain st Game Stop in Lowell while i waited in the car. He purchased 5 Pokémon packs, the person who rang him out was very rude and negative, basically trying to talk him out of buying them. We went to target then came back so I can buy some, I collect them as well. When I went in I could instantly tell who he meant by the guy with the bad attitude. I asked him if he had anymore Pokémon cards for sale? He just pointed to ‘over there’ then went back to texting on his phone. He then shouted that he’s not going to sell me any because my ‘husband’ already came in and bought 5. Since that’s the limit per person, he can’t sell me anymore? I asked him what he was talking about , he said because he saw the car I got out of he knew the man I was with bought some earlier and he refuses to sell me any. When I asked him if he didn’t see me get out of that car would he sell me any ? He said yup. That it’s Game Stop regulations… he kept talking about my ‘husband’ how we go there and do this a lot.. we’ve been in that store TOGETHER maybe twice..? Because we both collect cards and play video games..I’m not sure if he’s just racial profiling because we’re Asian or what.. but I’m very confused about how this was handled ..
William Dastou: This location had a PlayStation 5 in store event today. They had limited bundles for sale and long line. They allowed a number of people to stand outside in 3 degree weather in January, only allowing 1 person in the store at a time to purchase. Dozens of people waited outside needlessly for over an hour and a half when they could have just announced to the waiters that they only had x amount of bundles. Then if people wanted to wait, they could have. Very poor decision by the store manager.
Scott Suzano: Tried to trade in my Nintendo Switch on 11/8/2021 - Website told me I’d get 220$ cash as a pro member. Once I get to the store, they told me I’d only get 170$. I showed agent the website stating the offer, and they told me they were unable to do anything. I then called into Customer Service, and they told me that they are supposed to honor the online trade in offers. Fast forward a couple days later, and they told me that they cannot honor the offer because it is at the store’s discretion. Seems like GameStop isn’t worth my time and money anymore.
John: based
mulindwa tebandeke: Great
James Batista: If I could give 6 stars I would. I came in to sign up for the Gamestop Pro rewards subscription and Nick helped me out quickly and efficiently. Because of the program I was able to buy a PS5 through the gamestop website.

Bazaar Game Trading: what do users think?
Dan N: Great selection of retro gaming systems!
Ryllin: Great little spot,Very friendly staff and impressive layout for such a small store.*one important detail for collectors*They are currently using price stickers that can cause adhesive residue. Be sure to check if stickers are on high value collectables (and ensure they don't damage printing)
Justin Regier: Ordered some items online by inquiring through the website, staff was knowledgeable and helpful! They got the package mailed out extremely quickly and it arrived safely and well packed! The games worked perfectly and were exactly as described and photographed, can’t recommend this place enough, hope to do business again soon!
Lord Tremendous: Really cool retro gaming store. It's stocked, has a great selection of high-quality games, and the prices are very fair.Plan to spend a lot of time and money here as often as I can. 😁If you're into retro games, this place is a must see!!
frozen olive: Great place it has a lot of old games and figures from anime
Jordan Fanny: This place is a great little hidden gem, it has a excellent layout that makes you feel comfortable, with a vast selection of video games from many different eras, I visit this store knowing that im going to see some very obscure games that you rarely see in person when game hunting, and it's like being a kid and getting butterflies all over again, the only bad thing I can say is that their games run typically 10-20% higher in price than current market value, but there is a younger gentleman that works here at this location that'll make you totally forget the pricing issue with his courteous, friendly manner, he's well knowledged and very understanding to the market. And a pleasure to speak with, worth the trip at least once month to check the inventory!
Leigh Garison: Super friendly and knowledgeable staff! They are tucked away in the back corner of a very unsuspecting strip mall in Tyngsboro, MA, right on the main road heading up to Nashua. The best thing about this place is that they will buy your old video games and game consoles for cash!! I was able to get rid of a lot of old video games that were taking up space at my house. I made some extra spending money which is always great!!Even though they are locally owned store their prices are not super expensive, even for newer games!!Highly recommended!!
pvtjoker420: Great place
Adam Guy: Great place for retro gaming gear and games, definitely check it out
Anthony: I have had Bazaar Game Trading on my list of places to visit for quite a while. Today I was finally in the area, so I decided to drop in and take a look. Here are my honest thoughts. The store is very tidy and well sorted. Most game sections were alphabetized. Also, I was incredibly impressed by the selection of games that they had available from Atari to Switch. They have a frequent buyer program that will award you a choice of a few different coupons after collecting ten stamps that you earn after each purchase for $10 or more. I found this to be a really nice way to say thank you to customers for repeated business. The girl who helped me, was AMAZING! She was incredibly knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure that she answered any and of all questions that I had. Truly fantastic! Now for the areas that need improvement. Although there were a few things here and there that were a really a great value, the vast majority of the items at Bazaar Game Trading were WELL ABOVE market value. I saw games that were 1.5, 1.7, 2.0 and even 2.5 times higher. I know that this is a business, but a markup of this magnitude is incredibly excessive. Therefore, if they do have something you want in stock at Bazaar game Trading be prepared to pay a hefty premium for the privilege of purchasing it in person.Minus .5 stars.Furthermore, they're not currently accepting trade-ins, since, as it was explained to me, they have acquired a bit too much stock recently and don't have the allocated funds to purchase more. I would have prefered to trade in items in exchange for current stock, but perhaps I will try again on my next visit. The reviews that I have read have not been kind with regard to offered trade in value at Bazaar Game Trading, so if they really are as low as people have said I would subtract a full star, but since I don't have any personal experience with them in this area, I am willing to give them a pass here.Minus .5 stars.Lastly, there didn't seem to be any wiggle room on pricing. The prices were as marked and there were no bulk discounts, nor was there any benefit of paying in cash versus using a credit card. A lot of places have gone this route, but a large part of the fun in purchasing retro games is haggling over the price and receiving a discount for buying in bulk in order to get the best deal. This was not possible at Bazaar Game Trading which was really disappointing.Minus .5 stars.Final Verdict is 3.5 stars, but since I can't give a half star on Google I'm rounding up to 4 stars. This place would be absolutely fantastic if the prices were more reasonable, but as it stands they're pretty overpriced. They're also not accepting trades which is a real shame. I hope that on my next visit to Bazaar Game Trading the issues that I experienced this visit have been addressed.Reply to Owner 10/10/2022 6:15pm:Hi there Michelle, I appreciate you taking the time to reply and I apologize if it seemed harsh. If you look at my profile you will see that all of my other retro gaming store reviews as just as honest and straightforward. As far as freezing trades is concerned I can completely understand; I was just unlucky to come in at such a time. I do not hold that against you.As far as the pricing is concerned, it IS high. The truth is that this is ultimately your business to run as you see fit. As a customer, I would not know all of the things that go on behind the scenes that contribute to how you price your games, but I appreciate your thoughtful explanation. Thank you for being transparent. As an experiment, I took the time just now to call fifteen or so different retro gaming stores from across the country and asked for the prices of three different loose games that I saw at your store yesterday. You were the highest priced in two out of the three games that I randomly chose, while the third was also high. If you're curious you can repeat the experiment by randomly choosing games from your SNES case.Thank you once again and good luck to you in your future business. 3
Lance S: Got very strong feeling I was bothering them with trades. Frustrating
Dom Eger: Always an amazing experience. Best Retro gaming store in Massachusetts with the best selection.
Shae: Absolutely incredible store with so many games, it's very large so there's plenty of room to browse. I called the store for a trade-in and they even stayed open a bit later to help me out, Michelle was awesome and helpful. My only complaint about the store is the games in the cases have the prices on the back so you have to bother a staff member just to see the price, but that's not a huge deal. Highly recommend the store!
Roger Flores: Bazaar is a great one-stop shop for any video game collector out there. I've purchased various mint condition titles here and encourage everyone to stop by and look around.
Matt Marquis: Awesome selection, environment, and employees!
rodolfo ferreras: I just love this place I found exactly what I was looking for and in a good price
Zavier vaidya: Great store friendly staff has a great collection good prices on accessories and in box consoles. Games a close to market but you also have to factor in they offer resurfacing and guarantee the disks, Plus no shipping fees. Although the resurfacer was out of maintenance while I was there, will definitely come back to get some more games for my collection and so far all the games I picked up work great!
Gus Price: I have been collecting Atari 2600 games from here since December and my collection has really grown thanks to the reasonable prices of the Atari games. I hope to come back again.
Danielle Patenaude: Love this place. They're super responsive on social media if I'm looking for something specific, and I always find something to take home even when I'm just browsing!
Delphi Vinn: A great trip down memory lane. Bring a kid that's old of heart. You might call ahead if you're looking for something specific, but it's neat just to look around regardless.
Ashton Kimball: A very cool store with tons of video games.

Core Gaming: what do users think?
Charles Pickwell: Awesome staff, very well stocked with Hames and accessories
Bert Ernie: Such a great selection. One of the most organized gaming stores I've ever seen. Gotta give ya props.
Johnny McKinnon: I love this place. Every time I come in, there's a new "something" to look at, want, or need. Staff has always been friendly, and some of the conversations I've overheard between employees have been absolutely entertaining.
J Huddi: I love this place!Sure, you might be able to find a game or two cheaper on eBay, but these guys have a great selection. And while the employees might be a bit awkward, they’re pretty helpful.People need to understand that any video game store, whether a small local shop or a massive chain, needs to make profit off of trade-in games. You’re not going to get the price you have in your head. If you want that, then go through the effort of selling it yourself on eBay. You’ll be surprised how little more you’ll make….I have been coming here since they opened and will be coming back for years to come! Love supporting small businesses.
Moka Zuko: great place and has a lot of old games, but the place can smell like a gym locker
Monado Buster: Have been shopping at this store for years. Tried selling 20 brand new amiibo worth 20 dollars each minimum and they offered me 100 dollars. That was 2 years ago, and the person who tried offering me that much doesn't work there anymore. I called 2 months ago asking how much they would offer me for 2 pokemon cards, 1 was worth 110 dollars and the other worth 140. So 250 in total. They offered me 75 dollars cash. I sold the cards on ebay for the full value in not even 4 days. Not only do they do terrible trade in prices, but they overcharge for many products. For instance, they sell brand new copies of Persona 4 and 3 fes for 60 dollars. Both these games go for 40 dollars on ebay. How much can be excused by being a "small business"
Alex Cenanovic: in my opinion it’s the best gaming store in massachusetts they have a great selection of games and consoles and are always getting new stuff in, the employees are also super cool and gave me a refund for a game that wasn’t working on my gba even though it worked for their test gba, first time i went i was there for a few hours just looking at their huge selection it’s a great place.
Kerri Galante: Great selection of anything gaming!
Oblathamic: Walk in to some memories at this place WOW!Great people, super help and friendly and the selection is unreal. They have just about anything and everything video game related you can think of. I can spend hrs just looking.
Sharol: I used to like going here, but the have gotten so pricey and so RUDE!!!! I swear the dingy guys working there have no customer service and look miserable. Every single one of them. A lot of my friends and family have stopped going there too for that reason. There are definitely other gaming stores worth driving to instead of this one.
Janet Hurley: Friendly helpful knowledgeable staff. Great selection of games systems and memorabilia
Anthony: I have visited Core Gaming a handful of times of over the past couple of months and this is my honest review. The prices are Core Gaming are pretty high. There are deals to be had here and there, but not on the "core" retro games like NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, and etc. Expect to pay a 30% to 50% markup over Price Charting at minimum except on throwaway titles like sports games and other games that nobody really wants. The real kicker is that the games that they have for sale don't even look like they've been thoroughly cleaned and serviced. For that much of a markup, you'd expect the games to have each been opened, cleaned, and tested individually before being resold. To me it didn't appear that they had been. Either that, or they had been sitting around for so long that they acquired layers of dirt and dust. Minus one star.Another problem that's becoming more and more common, not just at Core Gaming, but to Retro gaming stores in general, is that they don't have much of a selection for retro games anymore. NES was just a few shelves, SNES as well, Genesis wasn't very much different. Trade values are low while resale values are high. I can't blame locals for not wanting to sell their games here, I wouldn't either. Minus one star. The setup at Core Gaming is very clean neat and organized. As others have mentioned, if you're familiar with their layout then you'll be able to find what you need if they have it in stock. Furthermore, their stock is also inventoried so you can ask the staff if you know what you're looking for and they'll be able to look it up and tell you right away.At the end of the day if you're looking for a good deal you might want to take a pass on Core Gaming and look elsewhere. If you are bored and want to drop by to have a look around you'll definitely find lots of cool and interesting things, but odds are that they'll be priced much more than they're worth.
Micah Matthews: harsh staff, the store feels dirty and clustered. selection of retro is optimal. lowkey, they shouldn’t showcase not for sale on the top selves of the store. forbidden fruit doesn’t taste good.
Just Joey: Overall a good retro game store.Pros:Really good selection of retro and new games and a ton of accessories and controllers to boot (images of some cool stuff I picked up.)Staff is helpful willing to answer any question you could think of.Very organized, if you learn the layout and know what you want you will most likely find it.Tons of rare stuff for a small local store, even saw that strange but sick gameboy sewing machine sealed in box once!Cons:For all the cool rare stuff they have they don’t have that much common retro stuff most people would have. Some high prices for stuff that isn’t worth it ($60 for Mario 64? come on you could get elden ring for that) but for all the bad prices on retro things there are some steals on stuff for Wii,Wii U, PS3, etc. They lowball you a ton for some trade ins to put them up for high prices. Like I get you aren’t running a charity but you don’t need to make that much of a profit. (apparently you get 10% cash back for what you buy with a free membership so maybe the prices aren’t as bad but for a ps5 game that’s only $7 off so maybe it is still? I don’t know.)TLDR:Great selection, inconsistent prices, overall 8/10
Tyler Heroux: If you are a Funko pop hunter or you love retro games this is the place to go.
Hildegarde's Noviciate: I was gobsmacked when my son brought me to the store. Amazing selection of retro games and other paraphenalia.I seriously gamed while my son was growing up. Many a happy memories I had gaming with him while he was young.Roaming through the store with him recently brought me back. I walked out with my first game in years Fall Out.God of War series next.We even talked about setting up a group game of Halo with him and his friends (that I was a den mother to). Thanks for bringing back great memories, Core...❤️
John: Great shop, vary nice and helpful staff
jilly wonka: This place is AWESOME. I have moved around New Hampshire quite a bit since I got here several years ago, but I always am glad I can manage to live close to Core Gaming each time! Everyone here is so nice and helpful, and every product I’ve purchased from here worlds excellently and is fairly priced. I’m so glad their business has grown over the years! I will avoid GameStop and come here instead. I am a happy, loyal customer and love to support this small business! Plus their stickers are insanely good.
chris farnham: Great retro gaming store tucked away in a nice corner of Salem NH. Lots of hard to find games, game books and other gaming stuff. I have my original PS1 from 1996 and found the original Tomb Raider game for 20 bucks there. A good price for a hard to find classic. Love to go there and browse. I usually always leave with something. Even if just a couple stickers. .
Alex Medeiros: Great store that tends to have really cool things and lots of items in stock. The only complaint I have is that their prices tend to be insanely high on some things, to the point where you'd might as well buy them online.
Jada Ocasio: I love Core Gaming very much but however the prices are insane at times. I have got lucky at times with finding stuff for a really good price/value. I sell items online for living and so I constantly do my research on items before purchasing. So many of the items Core Gaming has in their store, I can easily get online for way less money. Overall I been walking empty handed or buy maybe one thing here and there. The store has been doing promotions lately but the promotions aren’t really the best deals. Overall cool store with variety of things but overpriced.

Nathan Miller: Great atmosphere when it comes to displays and their collection but the prices are jacked up, presumably due to downtown Salem tax. Moreover, the red haired guy that's always in there is consistently condescending, he butts in on conversations, and he tries too hard to make the sale, it's uncomfortable.Do yourself a favor, take the trek to Winthrop and go to Sudden Impact. Dominic will take great care of you.
mdambrosio3: Eh, super stuck up. Not willing to share knowledge without paying for it.
Cameron Douglas: Went here while on vacation in the Boston / Salem area. Some of the games are a little pricey, but I didn't mind much due to the awesome atmosphere of the shop and the abundant friendliness of the staff. Not only do they go out of their way to assist customers, but they also will make recommendations and are very knowledgeable about their product.
Sarah Johnson: Extremely pleasant visits whenever I am in Salem. My boyfriend and I are will just pop in and say hello whenever we are in town. About a month ago, we were told they would have a used PS5 around 3/10. Sure enough, we went in last night and purchased it. They were happy that we were the ones who bought it, and were very excited for us. I will come back as long as the store is there. We are life long customers.
Frank Trischitta: Such a great experience here. So many options here and at good prices. I bought a ps3 and 5 classic games all for $225. Tyler was a great worker that knew a lot and was very helpful. Definitely my new favorite retro shop!
Dez M: I've been going to GameZone for since I was a kid. Friendly people with games and systems from each generation. I've moved out of the city and still make it a point to come back and do business with them especially for repairs.
Jesse Castro: Walls of nostalgia, friendly owner and even helped me remember a game I haven't played in years based on a vague description
Ringostarrgig: It had the games I was looking for they have xbox, xbox 360,xbox one,ps2,ps3,ps4,all nintendo games and systems too
Daniel Amaya: The staff here are knowledgeable and very friendly. They have a Chrono Trigger in the box behind the counter that I like to go in and look at because I'm too poor to buy it.
Alex Hernandez: Good
Famtastic Funky Bunch: Staff is top notch 5 * people. Great advice. Great service
Ian Larson: Had an amazing experience in Game Zone tonight! The guy behind the counter, I’m not sure if he was the owner or not, was so kind and helpful. He, my wife and I had a great conversation about the Switch and the many awesome games for it and He took extra care to help package up my N64 game that was in the original box so that it would survive the flight home. 10/10 would recommend.
Anthony: I visited Game Zone recently and did not have the best of experiences. The one member of staff that was working there when I walked in seemed knowledgeable enough, but lacked any tact or people skills and was very argumentative.Minus one star. The prices of everything was above market price, some of it exorbitantly much more. Furthermore, many of the items on the walls and the boxed games inside of the glass display cases did not have prices listed on them, a bit of a deceptive business practice. I asked if a boxed R.O.B. on the wall was complete and was told, "yes", but when inquiring how much they were willing to accept for it I was told, "It's part of our personal collection and not for sale". Perhaps putting a sign underneath it that says, "not for sale" might be a good idea. It appears that a lot of the items at Game Zone are display pieces and not for sale. I found this to be a bit confusing as I thought I had walked into a shop that sold games and not a museum.Minus two stars. When inquiring how much they were willing to pay for trade-ins I was told, "nobody is paying 50% market value for anything anymore". I was so off put by this low-ball comment that I decided to not even bother bringing inside the crates full of new and boxed NES, N64, GAMEBOY, and Genesis games that I brought up there and had intended to sell. Why should I even bother wasting my time when they are going low-ball me, and then turn around and sell those same games for exceptionality more? That does not make any sense.Minus one star. They do have a pretty decent selection of games, but, at those exorbitant prices, unless they have something really rare that you can not find anywhere else, and even if they do they are probably not even willing to sell it to you. Honestly, you would be much better off spending your money somewhere else that actually treats their customers with dignity and respect.I wanted to like this place, but the truth is that as far as retro game stores in the Boston area are concerned, this is probably one of the worst. At least the staff at Replay'd in Allston will look you in the eye and be straight with you while they low-ball you, this place just treats you like you are ignorant. I will not be coming back.Update 10/10/2022 3:15pm:I've been to Gamezone a couple more times since I wrote my original review because I thought that I'd give them another chance, but they managed to leave an even worse impression. A phone call to the owner looking for a specific item resulted in them saying that they had it, but upon visiting they did not. Furthermore, on another occasion I was told that they would pay a specific amount for an item, and when I came in they refused to accept the item outright. Being incompetent is one thing but outright lying is another.Minus one star.Final verdict: Zero stars, stay away from this place like the plague.
MkMG09: - staff are super friendly and knowledgeable on everything.- prices normal for all items.- no on site parking like most places in Salem.- had a good selection of items from NES, SNES, N64, ect. To consoles and other collectibles.- definitely worth to stop by if you are a gamer in Salem.
Matt: This place is amazing.great and polite customer service.all the original video games I was looking for.i love this place my 2 hour drive from Plymouth Ma was Worth it 😁
Dan Mccarney: I love this place. They found my childhood game i was looking for and i was insanely happy
