Raymond Hurteau: I was referred to Mark and team from a MA-based business who does not service NH. We started smelling sulfur in our water about 3 years after moving into the house. At the time we moved in, a new water softener and arsenic filter were installed and tests showed everything working great.Fast forward to 2 months ago and the smell made us think to have the water re-tested and perform a radon test since we never did. The arsenic filter media was all used up because our numbers were very high (to the order of 75x above the NH limit) and radon came in slightly above the EPA limit.We were given a few options verbally for treating the very high arsenic - one option was an entire house solution and that would be significantly more expensive given the amount of water to be treated on a daily basis. The second option was for point of use (kitchen sink and fridge line), which we opted for.The team first removed the old arsenic filter and installed a pre-filter (for sediment), which then fed to the existing water softener. From there, the rest of the house would get the water and the kitchen sink and fridge line tapped off of a reverse osmosis system.Unexpectedly, once the arsenic filter tank was removed, the sulfur smell became much stronger at all points of use (besides the R/O system). We tried a sediment/carbon combo filter and it did not get rid of the smell so we asked USWC to address it. They recommended an oxidation tank would do the trick, which it did.We also opted for the radon fan since we figure someone would ask about it if/when we sell our house.I've put a few before and after photos up here for reference.Overall, the team did a great job, and I felt like all the options were considered with respect to results and price. They got the work completed when they said the would and when I had a small change order, they accommodated for a fair price. Highly recommend and really enjoying our safe and smell-free water.

In particular, Steven Theriault recommended a 5 micron whole house filter, which I had included with the softener package. Arvind Narayana: based on the very good reviews, I decided to go with the company. Prior to the installation, overall they seemed good and did not try to push me into expensive options. The pricing was high with significant markups compared to what you could purchase online. Their technology also seemed a bit outdated. I don’t think it has changed for 15 years. Nonetheless, I decided to go with them. The day after my installation, we noticed that the dishwasher next to the water filtration system was overflowing. We then noticed significant damage in our basement. The insurance company paid approximately $5000 to fix this damage which obviously was an unpleasant experience. My insurance company and agent did make it clear that another claim they would drop me. Unfortunately, I had another approximately $8000 claim which I could have submitted and got reimbursed, but I knew that if I did this I would be dropped. Thus this particular incident actually costs me $8000 as well as numerous hours dealing with the damage and repairs.

We had spent 2 years with another company that had been a nightmare to work with and had taken a large chunk of money from us while we still had to deal with really high iron content in our water causing it to turn yellow.
