Gloria A: This place has caused me nothing but stress. It all began with my first interaction. I called the place a half month before I needed the dress for the wedding. I clearly told the owner I needed it by this date and if you’re not able to do it I can take it else where .. she told me that it wouldn’t be an issue.. all of a sudden 48 hours before I was suppose to pick up the dress they call me and say they can’t do it till this later date. I made it clear I needed it by this timeframe. The owner was traveling and said she was “stranded” and won’t be back on time and can finish it by the day of the wedding. They clearly didn’t listen to me as I mentioned I am traveling for the wedding and need it no later than this date. This is unacceptable and not professional. All they said was “sorry” and I’ll see if my other seamstress can do it and I will let you know. I had zero confidence in this place at this point. I immediately said I was going to pick up my dress as they wasted my time. They didn’t even offer any sort of discount or anything.. I had to pay another tailor extra money to get my dress done within a 48 hour period ..they weren’t accommodating at all… I would stay away from this place and if I could rate this place below a zero I would.

Mrs. Black: Maria is a hidden gem. I had no idea what I was about to find when I walked into this little bridal shop. She is literally an artist and really quick with her work. She had an eye the day I walked in and picked out all the wrong dresses for my body. She picked out ONE dress, encouraged me to try, and it was the dress I wore on my wedding day. Maria basically customized my wedding dress. She added lace sleeves and the most beautiful beading and crystals for one set alteration price. I was in love with my dress and will never go anywhere else for dresses and alterations. She is so talented. She really has a gift.

Joy Cornett: When I ordered my wedding dress I was in the middle of losing weight. I wanted to size down but the boutique I ordered it from didn’t feel comfortable sizing down in case I didn’t lose the weight. Well, by the time the dress came in it was already huge, by the time I began to search for a tailor to alter my dress it was gigantic. When I first showed her, she thought I bought it off of the rack. I was so sad, thinking my dress could never fit perfectly. I was so relieved to try on my dress at my final fitting to find that it fit beautifully! It did not look like the same gigantic dress I came in with. I can’t recommend this shop enough.

Sharon Ripaldi-Nizko: I ordered a dress high priority drove 4.5 hours to pick it up waited for alterations got the dress back home and the only alteration was on the hem of the dress, did not get to wear it for my sons wedding it was a waist of time and money. The owner was very nice at the time of appointment but when I called her to ask about the alterations she was very rude to me. I would not recommend this bridal store!

Our bride did find “the one” and we all had a wonderful experience. She is also very knowledgeable and experienced! And she does alterations which is very convenient!

Christopher Leahy: Finding Russo’s was just plain old good luck. I had just struck out in Nordstrom and Brooks Brothers, and after a Mens Warehouse suit I gave away to a homeless guy after alterations, I searched the internet for a tuxedo and found Russo’s. I’m not an easy guy to fit or make look good in a suit of any sort, but I was on a mission to buy, not rent, a tuxedo. I walked in, there was a large group working with a gentleman who turned out to be the owner, Rick, and another salesman John. John was working with a customer and there were at least two people waiting for John. By the time it was my turn (maybe 20 min) Rick was done and helped me. Selection for rentals is off the charts - you could dress the set of Casablanca. Buying a tux was another matter - choices were with peaks or with notches on the lapels, and black, black or black and then pants with buckles or belt loops to keep the pants up. Finding me a good fit was a challenge, Rick was back and forth to the dressing with the patience of a Lamborghini salesperson making sure everything looks good and fit right. His seamstress Fatima was patient and knowledgeable. I had not bought a tux since the one I bought at Barney’s on 7th Ave in Manhattan in the 80’s. You are not going to get this service or skill set anywhere else in New England and Russo’s is selling quality. I’m going back to buy a suit when I pickup the Tux.

I went to Russo's and a very nice gentleman(John S.) helped my son pick out the perfect tuxedo. John measured, tailored, and fitted my son in a timely fashion. My son and I were extremely pleased with John's help, kindness, and urgency for my son's last minute decision to go. We were in and out in less than an hour and took the tux home that evening. I won't get into the terrible experience we had where they legitimately screwed everything up they possibly could, but just do yourself a favor and DO NOT go here for any of your wedding attire needs. I will attach a photo of our groomsman whose vests aren't even the same color and two of them don't match their pants. Let me be clear, they did nothing to make our situation better, and their customer service is horrible. If you want to be stressed out right before your wedding because your wedding part doesn't match or have suits that fit them two days before, this is your place!

Stephen Keskinidis: Let me tell you, this is by far the best Russo I’ve been to. The entire staff was very welcoming the moment I stepped in. Everyone was helping me left and right but I do have to call one person out. I was a pain in the neck of a customer and Rita was the most patient, caring employee I’ve had an experience with. She was more than willing to get me multiple pairs of pants as well as help me decide what would look best. She was running back and forth to accommodate my needs. Not only that, she got my suit hemmed and I was out the door with my suit the day of. What she did should not go unnoticed. Thank you very much again for everything!

John had me out the door in 10 minutes- quick measurement, tried on the suit, the tailor adjusted it on the spot, everything fit great, and I was on my way. I’ve used other rental companies, but Russo’s is by far the best.I highly recommend John- excellent customer service!

Christina Wetzel: I went here to pick up my maid of honors dress as she lives out of state. When purchasing the maid of honor gown, the consultant didn’t make a note of the color we decided on, we were between 2 and chose the final color before we left but when we called a few days later to actually order, we weren’t sure if we were ordering the right color because she didn’t leave a note. When looking at the dress upon pickup, they tried to have me sign for pickup saying I had inspected it before they even brought the dress out of storage. Then, upon inspection, there were extra holes where the top piece was attached to the bottom, as if it was unseen and reattached. They said the belt would cover but the MOH didn’t want to wear the belt. At first, the receptionist said could we come back another day after the manager can inspect it, I drove over an hour to pick up the dress so that was not okay, and why couldn’t the manager come up to quickly look? They had the manager, Katie, come up who was extremely rude saying they would laugh at her if she sent it back for that reason and that she would refund the whole dress and we could order a different one which was very rude since we were asking for a small discount due to the imperfection. She said that was the needle mark and all the dresses have that, to which I pointed out to the receptionist that the samples to try on DO NOT have that so it was truly a flaw in the dress we got. Katie’s response to giving a small refund was no and then she left. I ended up signing and taking the dress because we don’t have time to order another, I do not recommend going here if you want someone to treat you with respect about an actual concern with your order.

I am normally a pretty anxious shopper; I much prefer the buy online and try on in the privacy of my own home experience but knew that this was simply not an option for a wedding dress. Shaylin was a delight to work with! She emailed me a couple of days before my appointment and had some of my picks on display for when I arrived. She was warm, friendly, and calming from start to finish. I never felt pressured, judged, or like I was inconveniencing anyone. This was one of the best shopping experiences I've ever had, period. Sarah: I feel extremely disgusted and frustrated. Came to 125 bridal to find a mother of the bride dress for my mom and to browse the bridesmaids dresses for my sister. Upon arrival we filled out a form and as we did that the older women who was helping us asked if my ‘grandma’ was looking for a dress. I corrected her saying my mother is looking, she laughed and said don’t listen to me. I brushed it off. Then came trying on dresses. They didn’t have a ton of different styles for my sister but it didn’t matter because I was mainly there for my mom. The one dress my sister tried on the older women told me to clip her while she just stared, clearly I had no idea what I was doing.The whole time we were trying to find dresses for my mom the older women did the bare minimum in trying to help find the right dress for her. My sister and I tried explaining what she was looking for and she wasn’t really listening and kept pulling random dresses. She kept unpacking headpieces and restocking stuff throughout the appointment, not paying attention to us. We found only a handful of dresses in her size and when the women did help, she kept pulling sizes that were too small and when I explained to her that we were looking for bigger sizes she made a surprised judgmental face. She said “unfortunately we don’t carry bigger sizes” At this point I’m extremely disgusted and frustrated. We were just done at this point. The fact that she made remarks and faces about my mothers weight was unprofessional and disrespectful. We were about to leave and the man there did help us with trying to find the right suits for my wedding but unfortunately I’m not sure I ever want to go back there. My mother left in tears feeling discouraged and disrespected. We all left very defeated and upset knowing we were humiliated by a ‘professional’ dress stylist. We will not return.

Michael I: Great experience start to finish with them. They went out of their way when one of the groomsmen gave them the wrong sizes and didn't try it on till day of. They drove to the venue with multiple sizes to get him fitted and ready for the wedding.

Patrick Luk: Had my measurements (and fathers) taken by another tailor in CA for my brothers wedding and had them sent to 125. When we arrived a few days before the wedding they handed us attire that was far too big (coat/shirt/vest sizes were 4 sizes off, pants off by a few inches in length and waist). They switched us out to proper sizing, but did not have a coat in my size. They told me they'd have to charge an overnight fee to get it to us in time, even though they got our sizing wrong (the original measurements were exactly what we ended up getting into in the end).Upon cashing out there was a charge error on my card, and they told me they'd have it cleared in a day or two. 10 days later and numerous phone calls later, still nothing. I'll be filing a fraud claim with my bank and a complaint to the BBB.Don't deal with these people, not worth the headache.

No one called me for the arriving of the dress until a month prior to the wed when I called to find out that dress was there. It was not acceptable to treat custom like that. I requested to return & refund the dress, the manager said he will check and let me know, but never called. I spent $300 deposit for nothing. This is terrible business model and custom service. Never again! Hope more people stop going there to loss their money.

Jordan Murphy: My wife's dress came in correct and on time and the people there were great to work with, however my tux and the tuxes of my groomsmen were a different story. Long story short my tux and my father in laws came in 2 nights before and a groomsman came in the day of. I will say they ordered "plan B tuxes" for us but it added stress and travel to the day before and we were an hour and a half away. My suggestion to the company would be don't wait for the week of for such an important item of the wedding.

Mary Stromberg: I have to sadly add that even though our initial visit was wonderful, and we found "the dress" ,when we got the dress - 9 months after a special order - we were told it should need "slight alterations " and a bustle added . Imagine our surprise when we took it to a seamstress local to us who specializes in wedding gowns and she had to take it in TWO SIZES! She was incredulous that this gown had been ordered and wasn't one that we bought "off the rack" !It was a huge job as the dress has many layers and beautiful lace appliques that had to be resized separately and the appliques had to be removed and sewn back on by hand. It was a huge added expense (half again what I paid for the dress to start with!!) to fix a gown that was ordered with specific measurements and supposedly sized to fit my daughter. (Who had no weight changes from the time we ordered to the time it was received)Thank goodness the seamstress that we found was amazing, incredibly skilled and could fix the dress so it looked beautiful- I wish we had gone to her to start with .So make sure to check and double check the size being ordered and that the right measurements are used!!
