Oxbow National Wildlife Refuge: what do users think?
Nicholas Weissman LaFrance: Tough to find parking
Torre Marks: It's a good 👍Visited on Weekend Wait time Up to 10 min Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $16–20 …More
Kest Schwartzman: Not particularly hikable, mostly a not-marked-on-the-map military base. There was a cute lake that was publicly accessible, though
Sean LeClair: Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry FreeMore
Laura R.: We stopped here on a Monday afternoon and did the river trail loop. It's a pleasant walk and the trails are generally well maintained but unfortunately we spent the whole time listening to target practice at the nearby military base. It was both unnerving and disruptive.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Price for adult entry Free …More
Lux Llama Productions: Great place!
Ronald Martin: Lovely, secluded area. Nice 2-mile loop trail. Well marked with signs. A little more overgrown than other places we have been but still easy to walk the trail. We went on a day with a moderate breeze so it wasn't too buggy. This is a wetlands area. I imagine on a calm day there can be lots of mosquitoes. Make sure to bring bug spray.
Jonathan Schaab: Beautiful, but the constant sound of gunfire is somewhat irritating.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry Free …More
Mike Houston: Great place to walk. Many trails, but bring the bug spray
Luke Trujillo: Wonderful place to fish. I caught a few perch and my buddy got some small mouth bass.
Kyle Guisarde: Mosquito breeding ground
Howard L: Great kayaking. Upstream from Rt. 2 several trees across the river for ?1 mile (as of summer 2021), so you need to pick your path carefully. Proceed with caution! Nashua River Watershed Association has a good paddling guide.
Skippy Stutler: Awesome. Well managed..plenty of bird watchers and swimmers
Lezlie Densmore: Bathrooms were locked
Scot Oram: Canoing, hiking,..bird watching
Laura Lane: Scenic loop trail along the river and through wetlands. Lots of birds and wildlife. Flat easy hiking.
Joao Neto: Ótimo local para caminhada. Ótimo para pescar. Rio tranquilo para kaiak e bote.
Roger Leary: Can't wait to kayak outta here
Madel Mann: So beautiful and the access to the water is really great. I would’ve given it a five stars, Except for the gun practice noise coming in from Fort Devens. And I hear this is a regular thing. But still really beautiful and worth the paddle. Easy parking and easy access into the water no problem.
Ray Stevens: Beautiful location to take a hike or go kayaking/canoeing.

Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge: what do users think?
Stephanie Aryssa: If you love nature or to run outside this place is beautifully perfect for you!
Carrie Bevis: A couple great options of short looping trails.
The Rabid Monk: What a wonderful spot to reconnect with nature. We walked during fall post leaf plunge and can't wait to see the wildlife and birds in the spring. Easy trails and boardwalk...ample parking. Would be an AMAZING spot for star gazing....
rebecca mirisola: I did the Red Maple trail. A short easy walk around a pond with an observation platform off to the side. A pleasant time seeing a marsh full of chickadees, a tree with 5 trunks, 3 tiny turtles and more trails yet to explore.Lots of signs that say no pets - so as not to disturb the animals in the refuge.
Luis Cardenas: Bonito lugar , lejos del ruido de las ciudades. Para estar con la naturaleza. Venga a disfrutar caminando en sus senderos, mira las aves, recorre sus caminos, humedales, árboles ....todo para respirar aire puro..
m schmitt: Beautiful spot for a nature walk. I also highly recommend crossing the road after the boardwalk on the red maple trail to the adjacent Sudbury land trust property. Lots of lush ferns.
Jeff Steinbrecher: Great place to walk around
Dawn Woods: Three paths with flat terrain. The Dike Trail encircle the refuge at a distance of 1.7 miles. Amazing vistas at sunset and morning. Child-friendly and crowded with people observing wildlife A wonderful 40-to-60-minute hike filled with birds, herons, turtles, and river otters. Turn onto Monson and drive slowly until you reach the sign at the entrance.
Jinming Chen: Great place to view yellow lily flowers (the best time is late July). You can see different kinds of birds if you come in early morning.
Danny: I enjoyed walking around Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge. There isn't a lot of trails here but the boardwalks are nice and I was able to see a few different kinds of birds while exploring.
Arianna Benassi: Beautiful Fall walk. Total peace. It's a fantastic place.
Carlos Gomes: Great raised walking trail with beautiful scenery.
吴智详: 莲花池
Elizabeth Newton: Lovely
jsenkevi: There is some basic hiking trails close to the Sudbury River which used to be a superfund site. It is very peaceful.
Kat Ago: Very nice place to walk, whether on the raised platform trails or off into the woods if more adventurous..beautiful place to go and enjoy nature
Angelie Marie: Very nice :)
Stephen G: Easy walking. Variety of terrain, clearly marked trails. Interesting signage highlighting a few of the more unusual features.
Ashley Colantuoni: Drove over a half hour to bring my kid and dog for a walk. Get there and there’s signs saying no dogs.... would’ve been nice to know before driving all the way here
Brenda Brown: Nice place to go with but some of animal waste are seek everywhere.
Matthew Sullivan: I kind of wish the google review stars were more like Michelin stars. Not so much because I’m some sort of elitist foodie (seriously the opposite), but because the stars have more concrete meanings. This place is quite nice. A beautiful little path in the woods. A nice boardwalk along a small pond. An overlook onto wetlands. I bet there could be a lot of birds if you went at the right time.If I lived in Sudbury this would get a much higher rating. Its worth a stop. I don’t live all that close to Sudbury. It is not worth the drive from where I do live. There are better places to visit closer to me.
