Jon L: This flight school opened after I had already begun flight training elsewhere (PPL). I ended up running into a couple issues at the other school, and decided to sit down and talk with an instructor at Fly Lugu. The instructor presented very organized roadmap to help me complete my PPL and I switched to Fly Lugu in February, 2021. I earned my PPL certificate here in June 2021. I continue to rent aircraft here as a private pilot, and have enjoyed sharing aviation with my family and friends.The aircraft are well maintained with minimal downtime, scheduling is easy, and there are a variety of aircraft with various panel configurations. Instructors, staff, and management are friendly and knowledgeable. KBAF provides a great environment to learn towered airport operations, and there are numerous uncontrolled airports in the area for untowered and shorter runway practice. I would recommend this flight school to anyone interested in pursuing their aviation goals.

I was hesitant about doing so myself but when I arrived at FlyLugu I realized I made the right decision. Competitively priced, the instructors are top notch and staff are very helpful. Unlike other schools FlyLugu has full time and part time instructors to accommodate different schedules which means that you’re sure to get a good fit. Nothing is left to be desired. And the icing on the cake? The huge variety of military and civilian aircraft coming and going all day long. I had an incredible experience working on my private at a school in Florida and another school in Martha's Vineyard. It wasn't until I got to FLY LUGU that I would truly find myself feeling organized and together as a pilot. RIka and her staff are incredible. It is clear from the first time you walk in that their goal is to do everything in their power to make you the best pilot that you can be. They were super friendly, accommodating, and very organized. I’m currently working on my private and my instructor is very knowledgeable. Other instructors are always willing to answer questions and help lead you in the right direction. Learning at an airport with a tower has made me feel comfortable with learning how to communicate.I would recommend fly lugu to everyone.Take that discovery flight! you never know. But fair warning, it’s addicting!!!

I found it at Fly Lugu.I achieved my private pilot, instrument rating, and I’m currently in commercial training. The school is big enough that can get you to the doorstep of a regional airline, yet small enough to feel like you know everyone.There is also the advantage of talking to air traffic control and getting familiar with that aspect of communication as this school is located in class D airspace.
