Jon T: My wife and I began taking lessons in early 2019 and it's been great. The instructors are terrific, and they and our fellow students are all very nice people as well.It is something we look forward to all week, and using this as "date night" has been more fun than we could have hoped. We've learned a lot, and look forward to learning more!
Sharon Holley: I've taken ballroom dancing lessons in another place in another state and felt like I was being ripped off. But at American Ballroom Dance Center I feel like they actually teach us about the music, which has completely helped me understand much more deeply about why certain dances go with certain rhythms. They are friendly, go step by step, and individualize their training program. The individual classes lay the foundation, the group classes build on those skills, and the general practice sessions allow us to use what we have learned. I feel like this group of instructors are much more interested in us learning dance properly than my previous experience elsewhere. I highly recommend this place as a warm inviting environment where you can learn and have fun all at the same time.
Goog.le user: Disclosure: this review is solely based upon phone interaction and first impressions.I called to inquire about taking dance classes for an upcoming wedding. It was about a 5 minute phone call and most of the time the representative lectured me for not giving ourselves enough time. He said something to the effect of- professionals can’t even learn a dance in 2 months and make it look natural. I got off the phone feeling horrible but luckily, we found a different studio that was willing to work with us despite the limited time we had.

kathi stahelski: My husband and I are extremely pleased with our membership at American Ballroom Dance Center. The owners and teachers are just terrific and are very well trained in the numerous dances taught. They design your program with the dances you wish to learn as well as offering different opportunities for dance programs outside of your contract. All of the teachers have the patience necessary to walk you through the multiple steps of each and every dance. It makes for a smooth progression through the dance steps as well as a fun time every time. We are extremely pleased and have renewed our membership several times with hopefully many more years and dance steps to come.
Miriam Sanchez: I always admired the dancers on dancing with the stars and wished I could look, even the slightest, like them. The American Ballroom Dance Center has revealed to me that I could look like that. I love every moment I spend there, it's like a second home. The teachers are extremely well trained, knowledgeable, and patient. In just a short time I noticed a vast difference, not only in my dancing ability, but in my balance and posture. Their music selections are music that you would hear at any party which makes it easy to apply when you go out. I thought I danced well before, but now I have even more confidence in my dancing ability because of American Ballroom. I can't wait to see where this fun filled road will take me, and I hope whoever reads this will be dancing along with me!
Edwin Hilerio: First off I wanted to say that I'm 23 years old and I would have never pictured myself as a ballroom dancer prior to attending classes at ABDC. The Staff at ABDC have great customer service and a home welcoming attitude. I've never danced before ,but coming in with a sponge soaking mentality, I was ready to give it a try. I've learned so much in just 8 months and my entire ballroom expierience has been amazing. If you ever thought of taking dance lessons, then American Ballroom is your studio of choice. ABDC's teacher's are well trained, patient and judge free, professionals ready to take your dancing dreams and make them a reality. Allison Iannicelli: My husband and I went to Fred Astaire to get dancing lessons for our wedding. Maia and Michelle did an amazing job choreographing and then teaching us our dance. We enjoyed working with them very much, they are very personable. They are excellent at what they do, our wedding guests were so impressed by our dance. We do not have previous dance experience but they helped us look like pros.

Phoebe Harris: My husband and I chose to sign up for dance lessons in preparation for our wedding and we're so glad we did. We had about 9? lessons in total. The first few were about the basic dance moves and then later on was the choreography for our first dance. Our dance instructor was Carissa and she was amazing! She was very patient and tolerable (my husband and I can be ridiculous some times). She would even stay past our time slot to help us and make sure everything was looking good. We would definitely recommend her for lessons!

Jeanette Jacques: Went to the studio to learn to dance for our wedding. The helped us create our first dance. It was easier than we thought and all our wedding guests could not believe how good we looked.
Edward Przystas: OK I have been to Fred Astaire, Arthur Murray, Jitterbugs , studios in Northampton and found the the structure of Fred Astaire lessons is the best for learning basics and retaining new steps. They have group lessons that show you the fundamentals of a step and a private that fine tunes it. The other studios try but they do not have enough students to have group lessons reflect the different levels of students. Everyone is put together. The skill levels of the owner is phenomenal and his ability to relate to each individual is impressive. Nothing negative. He teaches his instructors and hopefully they retain some of what he has to offer. I guess every studio has its plusses and minuses but the best bang for the buck in my opinion is Fred Astaire.
Alice Wing: Came to learn to dance for an event and am still there 3 years later. Always a great night of exercise, fun and dance. I come for my lesson with all the stress from the day and leave energized.
Selina Benevento: Horrible attitude from the "owner" Kim. What a inconsiderate person. She should not be working with the public. From the very first phone call she was extremely rude. I would not recommend anyone going to this dance studio. Very un-welcoming place. In the ad it mentioned being energetic and personable which she is neither. Why would anyone want to pay for dance lessons there orrr work for such a miserable person I do not know ! Im Shocked !

Tahisha Valles: The environment is so welcoming. I had an injury that destroyed my flexibility and I was very self conscious about doing anything physical. I pushed myself to try to get back to where I was athletic wise and join sou pole. My first class was informative and the people were all supportive and encouraging. I started with intro to pole basics and I immediately signed up for many other classes right after. It makes you want to keep going and makes you want to make new and more goals for yourself. The instructors are patient and answer any question, assist you and push you. Great experience for anyone wanting to build up confidence or strength again

The instructors are very light hearted, approachable, and helpful. The energy in the space is safe, supportive and almost creates a feeling of sisterhood which is so rare in the outside world! Even the lighting adds the perfect touch to the mood. I feel like I’m tapping into my sexy/powerful feminine side for the first time in a long time and I love having this time dedicated to something solely for ME! A: This was my first experience at a pole studio and the studio is beautiful! The girls are sweet, attentive and very helpful on helping the students because everyone learns at different pace. I’m coming back because it was fun and you get a good workout

Amari O'Connor: Soul Pole provided one of the best dance experiences I have ever had to date! I have never been a terribly athletic individual, but I love to dance in my free time and have recently been picking up a myriad of different types to try. I was super nervous to start pole because of how physically intense I knew it could be, but the basics class was perfectly paced and super fun! We had a fantastic instructor and it was a very friendly environment. I've become so interested in the different ways I can learn/improve, and now I can't wait to go again!!
Life With Triple T: I did the introductory class and it was so much fun. Our instructor was amazing. My friend is a student here and she is always recommending it, however, I have been so busy over the past year so didn't get to attend. They then finally had a date when I was free and I couldn't miss it. Even though it's a 30-minute drive from CT, I tried my very best to make it. It was definitely worth my drive and time. I would recommend this class and will definitely be back.

Thanks to Celina for her patience and professionalism with a 52-year-old student.
