J D: My wife and I are first-time boat owners this year. We purchased a custom 2021 Monterey M4 from Bassett Yacht and Sales Boats in Westbrook, CT.We wanted to take some time to share our experience with Dianne and her extremely professional and courteous staff. Being our first boat purchase, we weren’t really sure to begin, so we did quite a bit of research on the Internet and decided that Monterey might be a good choice due to the high-quality craftsmanship and good reviews. We selected the M4 based on where we wanted to drive the boat and the type of water activities we are interested in. Bassett Yacht and Sales Boats is a Monterey dealer that is close to us which is how we met Dianne Bassett, owner of Bassett Yacht and Boat Sales.From the very first time I spoke with Dianne she was personable, knowledgeable, and very patient, despite our obvious lack of boating experience. Dianne took the time to ask appropriate questions such as: where we planned on doing most of our boating, how many people would be on the boat, and the types of activities we wanted to do with the boat—really getting to know my wife and I and ensuring we made the proper boat selection and didn’t pay form something we did not want or did not need. Dianne also kept our budget in mind when making her recommendation. All the while Dianne was not guaranteed a sale from us but she treated us like long-time customers: always answering questions and making sure that we understood the specifications of our order before placing our order with Monterey. We are very thankful as well that Dianne suggested we place our order early to ensure we would have the boat in time for the next boating season.Dianne and her staff were very flexible. We were able to look at an M4, she had in her showroom, a few times before making a final decision. This is where we met Mike the shop manager. Mike was very personable, professional and just as patient with our first-time boating questions: from everything about the M4 to what we might expect during the Connecticut Boater’s Safety Course.Dianne and staff provided an exceptional buying experience. She even helped us through the process of financing and insuring the boat to provide a real “turn-key” product. We have a little over a month or so to go, but we cannot wait to get on the water with our new home away from home and cannot express enough thanks to Dianne for making this happen and making the process very easy and relatively painless. MrKent Serious Boater: Door's Locked, nobody there. That was my first experience this year visiting Bassett Boat.Second visit the next week was met with the doors locked again. Sign on door read go around back to see if there's anybody here. Another sign on door read they are at the Coast at their "more important shop" making more money than here........ok, ok, that was an exaggeration....but it did say they were at the coast in their other facility.I did locate someone to open the door, unfortunately they were out of trim fluid. How can you be out of trim fluid at a Marina you ask. Poor Management I say.Now, I am going to their competitor in Holyoke (Action Marina) to visit a couple good ol boys that used to be in Springfield. I should have started there first !!

Once the weather turned to spring and I wanted it to be delivered they juggled their schedule to get it done. The boat arrived very well prepped and Paul once again described its equipment and operation of the boat. I highly recommend Bassett.

Oleksandr Savchuk: I came in with sensor issue and technician connected computer and issue was fixed in 15 min .But to drag the time technician did pre trip inspection twice and also included a charge "shop supply" but couldn't explain what that meant when I asked what supply they used.I don't recommend this place.I ended up paying for 2 hours which cost me 313$ for 15 min job.I would completely understand if they charged me for an hour but 2 hours come on...

The first time I came here my reefer shut down earlier in the day I went to Dave's truck Repair and Brandon got it started he suggested I bring the reefer to this place to find out the problem the tech at Carrier Trans cold told me that since the problem was fix he could not determine what happen even though I explained how Brandon fix the problem I was charged over 400 dollars for basically nothing I mean the tech basically took a flash light looked around the motor and said nothing wrong here's your bill. I went back to place because my reefer needed a to be charged I may have to take it back again because I have had a error code since my last visit. To charge my reefer was 888.01 I did call Carrier to let them know about the problems I have had since they charged the reefer I will let yawl know what happened

Carl Bernard: Always have a good experience here. We have this crew fix many of the major issues with our reefer units. If given a bit of advance notice can drop off trailers to be repaired. Also in a good spot just a mike from Performance Foodservice and Big Y DC in Springfield, Massachusetts. Also is just about 10 minutes from the Pride Ambest Travel Center off of exit #6 I-90

We chose action marine because they sell crestliner and they had great reviews compared to the other crestliner dealers. Aaron was SO HELPFUL. I called and emailed Aaron several times because of who I am as a person and he was always so understanding and kind. They went above and beyond to get the boat ready for us right in time for the fall run. When we arrived the process was pain free, with Aaron spending ample time with my husband explaining everything. I’m really glad we made our decision to purchase our boat here and I can’t wait to go out on the water with it!
