He inspected my home, checked my walls and basement for mold and moisture and gave me a really great education. I am so thrilled I called this company. Betsy Bender: I discovered water in my basement due to my hot water heater letting go. The company who services my heater came out to assess the situation. They advised me that I should have someone come out to dry out my basement as there was quite a bit of water. The plumber happened to mention ServPro to me so I immediately called. From the first conversation with the person who answered the phone to today when the fans and humidifier were removed, the service I received was one of the best experiences I have had with any company. Not only was everyone professional, the care they took with what needed to be done was outstanding. James, David, TaShawn and Jose, who came out to place the equipment and did daily checks on the progress, were very informative with the progress. They discovered a sentimental item that had received water damage and immediately hung the pieces up to dry. Besides being professional at their jobs, the compassion they showed in understanding how traumatic an experience like this can be and taking the time to listen was more than I expected. I can't thank them all enough for easing my stress! Not that I want the need to use ServPro again but, if the needs arises, they will be the first call I make! Steve Davis: Unfortunately this is a tale of 2 companies. We had a flood in February that kept us out of our house for 6 months. The night of the flood we called ServPro and they came out first thing the next morning and put in dehumidifiers and helped dry things out. After that they also did a great job with removing any damaged items like the cabinets, carpet and flooring that needed to be removed. They were unwilling to remove some flooring though due to what I understood as getting burned previously due to unknown asbestos even though it was tested, but that's understandable.Then came the mold remediation which is where all the problems started. The crew doing that work did not cover up anything in the house when spraying the encapsulant so they destroyed many items including: thermostat, toilet, tub surround, tub (luckily it was able to be refinished), entry door, multiple inside doors, multiple windows, my sons bed frame, my shop vac and the washing machine has it on it. This would probably have not been a problem except for the fact that the company would not even answer me for any type of compensation for the items for months. I was told in March that I'd be reimbursed for the cost of my thermostat, but that never happened. I was also told that I had signed a contract saying that the work was done to satisfaction and there were no damages, but they were not able to provide that paperwork when I asked. They said I had signed it in February when the work was done in March. The only communication from the company about reimbursement was essentially a contract that wouldn't allow me to voice my issues online or verbally and to just take the money for the damaged thermostat.Be cautious when using this company. Debbie was so patient and helpful with getting everything setup, even dealing with my insurance to get the appropriate information over regarding the service. Paul Jenney: This went downhill quickly. While my basement got wet due to a faulty sump pump, instead of drying it out, they cut out the brand new carpet and over 100 feet of drywall. It was totally unnecessary and they were told not to do it. Many thousands later, and the basement is refinished after just being finished months before they came to 'help'.
Matthew Condon: When our hot water heater let go, we called Servpro Agawam to clean up and assess the damage. The response was great; the crew was able to come out late in the evening to clean up the standing water and start the drying process. The crew was very professional and did a great job cleaning up and preserving our finished basement. Through their efforts, we were able to preserve all the drywall in the basement and the tile floor in the bathroom. The administrative staff was very helpful and pleasant to deal with as well.

Katie P: When our prior mitigation contractor dropped our job after doing half and getting the majority of the money out of our project we called Michael and he and his crew were night and day professional vs our prior contractor. Instead of 4 dinky fans that managed to scratch our fridge, Springfield had one large fan/dehumidifier to do the job. They put up a containment area instead of allowing dirty dust and potential mold to blow around our entire house. We had some minor follow up issues that they were quick to help with and so professional. In a nightmare kitchen project where a new problem seemed to be springing up every day... Springfield was really an amazing company to work with.Wish we had gone with them originally since we ended up paying double since we had to do it all again and insurance wouldn't pay out a second time. The two guys that came out were very kind and very courteous of being in my home. I told them they didn't have to worry about wearing booties because the house was a mess (I had just moved) and I watched them take them on and off each time the entered and exited. They also had to use my island to change out some of the lighting they put down cardboard and protected the stone. Bob Busian: Had an appointment on 5/27 for siding repair so I took the day off work. Springfield cancelled due to weather and rescheduled for 6/3. 5/27 was a nice day with no rain. On 6/3, I took another day off work to be at home and Springfield was a no-show. I called the office at 2:00 questioning their arrival time, and she said they had to cancel and they left me a message that morning. I received no calls on my cell or home phone from them. So, I took two days off work and they failed to show both days. Very disappointed - I will find a different contractor.

I felt confident about the project however as the project got closer to the start date he began to take longer and longer to return calls and messages. He promised we would have a sit down meeting before the project started that never happened. I was looking forward to this meeting so that we could clarify some information about the project. I was under the impression due to conversations that certain work would be happening. However the day the guy came to do the work it was clear that there was a major miscommunication. I was clearly and understandably upset and called and talked to Russell. He was rude and condescending. It was really a nightmare conversation. However Janeen, Becka and Micha were all very nice and understanding of my frustration with the miscommunication. Cathy Ulloa: This review is way overdue. In Dec of 2017, my hot water tank exploded & unbeknownst to me continued to leak for hours. Upon my discovery of the damage to my finished basement, I called Baystate Restoration on the recommendation of a friend who had used this company previously. From the very 1st phone call, I felt reassured that my problem would be taken care of from start to finish. And it was. The crew that came over 1st thing in the morning was prepared, professional & reassuring. They got right to work of packing up & salvaging what they could of furniture & personal items & then doing the prelimary work of drying out the floors & walls. The owner Donnie was professional thoughout the whole ordeal, keeping me involved & asking my input re repairs. A huge relief was that he handled the insurance end of this unforeseen situation, which at the time was overwhelming for me. Once they came in they buttoned up the house and the break ins stopped. And when the time came they worked with the insurance compny to get the furnace and old wiring replaced.The work they did was incredible and because they went above and beyond expectations the house was worth more than before the fire. (Seems they listen to a scanner and prey on people for work) they said they would give us 10 percent of the claim which we later found out through our local agent is insurance fraud!!!!!!!! We removed this company from our job a quarter of a way in because of terrible craftsmanship lies and poor behavior by there employees who appeared to be the "partying type" which we later found out one of the partners is a owner of one of the dirtiest least respected bars in western mass. Don Robert (business owner) treated my wife like a second class citizen. He talked down to her got upset when she challenged him because she knew he was wrong and a liar. We highly recommend avoiding this company the employees are a direct reflection of the business owner. We found a professional company to finish the job (we will post a positive review on them) unlike Baystate restoration who hires anyone that can wake up before 800 am after a night of partying at Don Roberts bar (sober or drunkStill seems they don't care all they want is a body on the job site) the only thing the employees did correct was constantly bad mouth the owner. Wish they could hammer a nail as well as they could stand around and talk about the owner and their previous night out

They made a hole in tile of another bathroom and when they were done it looked like a 4 year old did it. They didnt put doors back on correctly. Matt Lillibridge: ARS should be avoided at all costs. They talk a good game, but when it comes to restoration, they fall down. We hired them to assess and fix a mold issue in our bathroom and they promised us they would fix it and insurance would pay. They were partially right.They fixed the part the insurance said from the beginning they wouldn't pay for. They did find a leak in another part of the ceiling and helped us to get a settlement of what it would cost for them to replace our kitchen, but then it took them 3 weeks to give us an estimate to do the actual work.They removed a wall of our kitchen, part of the ceiling, but not the whole thing which turned out to be covered in mold; we later paid out of pocket to fix their mistakesWhen we got the first estimate it was $8,000 higher than our insurance settlement; the settlement they said was what it would cost. We turned them down and then they spent another 4 weeks writing a new estimate (we are then 8 weeks without a kitchen or bathroom) and when they came back with the "new" estimate it was $12,000 more. SO they went up! The only way we were able to get them to give a new estimate was to threaten to fire them.We tried to work with them and just get them to do the work they'd initially said they'd do, but they said "it wasn't profitable for them to do so," because by this point it was 4 months after they'd demolished our kitchen and we'd gotten irritated and done a lot of the work ourselves.After I explained all the problems, they hit us with a $1,000 bill for the work we told them wouldn't be covered. When we showed them the inexcusable timeline, they credited us $500 and still demand payment.We have since hired other people to finish the mold remediation in the kitchen and bathroom.Run. Away from them!

Fran Reidy: Recently had a flooded basement. We reached out to ServePro. They were swamped as we were part of a large group of homes impacted by a beaver dam breaking. As promised they came out a few days later, gave us a very good estimate, all in writing, very clear as to the charges. The staff showed up one day later at exactly the agreed upon time, did a perfect job removing the impacted drywall and treated for mold and bacteria. They recommended less fans than original estimates, thus saving us money and returned three days later. The final numbers matched my tracking of the bill exactly - not always the case with some companies, but with SERVEPRO there were no hidden fees, extended hours or unneeded machines. I expected I'd have to wait months, but they were super responsive and flexible with my weird schedule. They arrived when they said they would, did great work, and were great guys, to boot! PB B: Called 800 number on a Sunday morning after noticing septic backup. Entire lower lever covered with waste. They came at 2pm and started right away. By evening removed all carpet and started drying. 2 days later came to sanitize and re-inspect the damage. Two days later came again to sanitize. GREAT JOB! Thank you. Rachelle Letendre: ServPro was fantastic... we were panicked to find a leaking pipe (that had been leaking for several days) in our basement. We called ServPro immediately and they were here in a half an hour. They were great from the beginning to the end - from the customer service on the phone (thank you Erica) to the quick response of the technicians that came to the house. They remediated the problem quickly and were very reassuring. They truly went above and beyond and we would highly highly recommend them to anyone.Serve Pro right out of the gate was impressive. We spoke with Erica and she coordinated a response to our flooding issue while while keeping us at ease that they would take care of everything and not to worry. Erica said she would be sending someone over right away, and they were at our house within 1/2 hr. Upon meeting the technician, he was friendly & comforting. He wasted no time tackling the job. While talking with him, he was very knowledgeable of his job, reassuring & explained what he was doing and why he was doing it. Realizing under the carpet there was a pad with a protective barrier and could only remove so much water from vacuuming it, he had to lift the carpet to gain access to the padding. He had to cut the padding and then he was able to remove all of the water and took away the padding as it was no longer usable. He set up several industrial fans, including an industrial dehumidifier and told us that they would be back in 24hrs to check in the situation. Shorty thereafter, we received a call from Erica to schedule a time that they could come up and see the progress. Erica gave us a time that they would be up and they arrived at the time we were told. We had a different technician this day and he was also friendly, knowledgeable of his job & easy to talk to. He started checking areas of the carpet & walls to make sure everything was completely dry. He explained to me how the machine worked that tested the areas. They know right away if it’s dry or still has moisture. After testing multiple areas, not only was the flooded area now dry, but it was even lower than the accepter percentage. They clearly brought the right equipment and enough of it to get the area back to normal and that gave us a relaxing feeling immediately. They removed all of their equipment and the technician explained a few more things to me that helped us understand what they did. The next day, Erica called back and asked us if we would like them to replace the padding, and attached the carpet to the way it was before it was pulled up. They also said that they would clean the carpet with an anti microbial solution to rid it of any potential viruses. This was a no brainer. Lastly I would like to say that Kevin Fall, the owner of this company has an outstanding business and his employees are exceptional. The two guys were friendly and more then willing to what ever was needed (heavy cleanup in two rooms). It is not cheap to have them come out this quickly but they came and the price was worth it!! Two thumbs up!!

Lauren Garcia: We had issue with water leak/water damage and mold in our basement. They set up initial consultation with us. The manager came out and basically charged us $200 to test what we knew was mold which ended up being pointless. They have since never followed up with us & we ended up having to hire somebody else. Very very disappointing. I would not recommend.
Anthony Tormey (LDi TV): Extraordinary service. The customer service from Amy was outstanding. Expert advice. Saved me over $2,000. Hope we won't have to use them in the future, but if we do they will be my go to company. If you ever need them you should call them as well.
Salvatore Manzi: Ace began to take care of the water damage we had. The work was great, however. They left the equipment on our property well after the job was complete. We received an outrageous bill that covered a rental fee for the time the items were left on our property. The insurance would not pay for the extended rental and, even with documentation from the courts and several missed days from work, these guys continued to report me to the credit bureau. KEEP AN EYE ON GARY. A VERY DISHONEST PERSON. SHAME ON YOU SIR.
Kim Garvey: Gary and his workers were very professional and did a excellent job. We had a electrical fire and severe smoke damage. Gary and his crew did a phenomenal job from start to finish from the packing of our contents to the knock down and rebuild to the beautiful hardwood floors throughout and the speechless rebuilt bar . Gary and his crew got us back in our home sooner than expected. Cleaned all our contents one by one and left our home spotless when completed .Gary and his crew made a crisis a lot easier than expected . Would highly recommend
