Hartsprings Foundation, Inc: what do users think?
Gates j: Constant unsolicited phone callsedit: no, I will not email you my phone number. You shouldn't be calling private unlisted phone numbers anyways. How about you just stop contacting people that never asked for it. You already send out the yellow cards so leave me alone.
Joan Mack: Please don’t use this organization. I scheduled a pickup and let them know I had 20 boxes. After I packed and loaded my boxes and dragged them from my garage to the driveway, they called on the day of pick up to say they only would take 5 boxes. I went back out and removed/ consolidated until I left 6 boxes total. My camera shows they came, looked at it, and left everything there. I’m 70 and had to drag it all back in , load it in my car, and take it to another charity who was thrilled to receive all the items. What a waste of a day waiting for them and in the end they took nothing! Plus the woman I spoke with was rude and dismissive. I’ve read many similar reviews about the poor service, lack of clear communication and rude customer service people. Plus the Ops Manager is responding on here saying they want to make it right. How about just do that. Teach your team proper and polite communication and hire respectful drivers who handle donations carefully and don’t throw stuff around. And arrive on the day you commit to. Pretty simple. There’s plenty of other organizations to donate to that show appreciation and courtesy to their donors. I’ll let as many people as I can know that this is a horrible organization.
Len Sierra-Scacalossi: I'm now editing this review to reflect the fact that Hartsprings contacted me and placed me on their Do Not Call list. Nice to know they are responsive to critical postings. This was the original post:They text and call me everyday and even after I blocked them, somehow they keep calling.
redsox3459: I have gotten frequent spam calls from this organization for years and no one ever leaves a message, so I know it is malicious. It won't let me post ZERO stars.
Lori Rottino: Confirmed my pick up of items donating no show on the pick time 7-7 items are like new condition all packed as they asked called no answer will not use them again sorry big brother very disappointed
Amanda Salazar: I scheduled an appointment for eight boxes to be picked up, confirmed everything a week before hand and received a confirmation email and an email reminder to have everything out placed before hand. I had difficulty getting a hold of anyone the night before, because it was supposed to snow, and I wasn’t sure if inclement weather would play a factor in my pick up. Fast forward to the next day, I called again because it was raining all morning and no one was here to pick up the boxes. I had made sure to place the boxes out before 7 AM. I even called again to make sure that the boxes were going to be picked up, the woman on the phone was rude and unhelpful and didn’t provide any information as to what I should do.I sadly recommend donating to another organization, the customer service was very disappointing and it is a shame that the young women and children, who are recipients of these donations will not be getting them.
Lisa Scott: Up until recently I have used them before with no problems. In september I contacted via email and they confirmed to pick of next month on 10/19 between 7am-7pm. I did even better I put my things out in mostly bags because it had rained and I was trying to be considerate. I had at least 7 extra large boxes and about 14 huge bags. Rechecked the email on verified a week before that they were still coming. My items were put out with help on 10/18 THE DAY BEFORE! Now fast forward to the actual day and I get up extra early just because we are moving and my neighbor was complaining about all this stuff out front. 0n 10/19 no one shows and it's 6:33pm so I contact via phone & email leaving a voicemail explaining for them not to forget to come pick up the items I have gathered over a month ago. No response.....so I keep waiting and finally at 3:30 in the morning I go to bed. Next morning the things are STILL OUTSIDE! My neighbor has called my landlord and he tells me I cannot keep stuff outside for 2 days so I need to remove asap. Now I am very upset because I have NEVER had any issues with my neighbor landlord. So I call them again the next day and a rude lady first lies and says they picked up 2 boxes? When I explain every box & bag is still here she then gives me my old address from 3-4 years ago which I reply I don't live there anymore and my address was sent when I put the order in. I explain to her I have waited for an month and I am moving can they please send someone to pickup right away. She rudely states that they can come out next month? Next month I am about to move! She then states that is not her problem and nothing she could do! I am so angry I actually said something mean and hung up! I was so upset I literally burst into tears because besides packing to move I now have to figure out how I have to get ALL THIS STUFF from outside. I had to pay someone to pick up (money I did not have). I will NEVER EVER use them again! Very unprofessional and if you don't contact them they act like you don't excuse. I am unemployed so this was $$ I did not have. Good luck people and just know this!
Lorraine Willias: On September 15, I arranged for a donation pickup to take place on September 24. I received a confirmation, as well as a reminder to have all my stuff out the night before. The reminder stated that it would be picked up between 7 AM-7 PM. I had all of my stuff out the night before. Nobody showed up to pick up the donations. When I try calling Hartsprings, there's no answer. They still haven't returned my voicemail. Very inefficient, poor service and communication.
Diana Lotero: Me alegra saber de esta fundación es la segunda vez que recogen en mi casa en la fecha indicada , mil gracias !!!!
Kevin Gainey: Awesome..very informative..👍🏾
Red heart: Friendly on phone when scheduling appointment ,for pickup . I don’t mind donating ( being a blessing )
Jessica Finch: Happy to give items that I know will go to good use. Scheduled in advance + they arrived the day of! Thank you for all that you do!
Carole Klingerman: Donation pick-up occurred today without a glitch … makes home decluttering super easy and feel good knowing donations support BBBS organizations
Kara Labonte: Excellent & convenient service!
Stella Murphy: This scam of a place is RUN BY DAVID Parkinson who treats his workers with NO RESPECT the pay scale is rock bottom the customer service is ROCK bottom. Donate to a real NON PROFIT NOT THIS SCAM OF A FOR PROFIT BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!
SHEILA STERN: Time and time again I bad up stuff from the closets and more and it’s a no show. Now the mailbox is full on all phones, no answer and can’t leave a message. At the holidays when people have had no work they aren’t picking up donations. Easier to click and sell on Etsy, Poshmark and EBay without the hassle of boxing bagging and lugging from the various rooms in the house to the porch for a no show pickup. Then you have to drag it back in and into your trunk and drive to the nearest drop box site. Looks like new management might be in order. Current situation is a waste of time and looking at reviews a lot of people agree with me. I love the thought of charitable foundations for that you get 2 stars from me. No more
Karen Kelly: They come to our home once a month and pick up our donations. We are so thankful they pick up our donations. Our donations are helping a worthy cause. Great organization to deal with! Thank you!
Michelle Bernasconi: I'm not sure of the reasons behind the bad reviews, but I have found this organization great to work with when it comes to donating! They show up on time and take the boxes that I've labelled with non-cloth and cloth items away. I would recommend them for donation pickup!
Lisa R: Excellent way to donate.
MS: They are great about notifying by email before picking up the donation... a convenient and beneficial way to let go of some things!
Kayleigh Dimas: Second time scheduling at home pickup to donate to Hartsprings, didn’t show up the first time and had to call for them to come pick it up, This time tried calling after they didn’t come pick up my donation and nobody picked up and the mailbox was full.

Brian Gebo: Safe serve is not followed. Volunteer continue to violate the rules by putting thing in garbage and returning to pass out food without changing gloves. Touching salad, then meet and then salad again. The meat will contaminate the salad. Change your gloves. The other part is condiments. Why do you serve French toast and pancakes dry? No butter or syrup. Hotdogs on a roll? No catchup or mustard just dry. Does the mission not have to follow safe serve guidelines or proper procedures.
Lori Benintendi: Drove my son there approximately 1 month ago. Very warm, loving people. He is doing well.

Kero Kero Kuraido: I went to drop off a page donation of women's clothes. And other than having some trouble finding parking, which was mostly my fault, everything was great. It was clean everyone was so nice and friendly.
Timothy Calef: This is the nicest place I know of out in the Springfield area. There are other Christian charitable organizations out there but I truly believe that this place above all others does the most good. That is only true perception They unlike another place that gets donations of clothes do not sell them they have a give away center were people less fortunate can go and obtain things they need that is the definition of ALTRUISM. And Christian Agape ✝️ Love...
Tim Chambers: I've heard good things about it. I'll check in myself and let y'all know.
Jorge L. Villodas: Great peolpe
James Rodriguez Vega: Good thing there
paul cuoco: Nice place for Free clothing when you go make a appointment

Enid Lugo: It awonderful place for the homeless
Janet Goba: A kind, generous, respectful shelter. A worthy cause . Call first if you have winter coats to donate to arrange drop off. As of 12/15/22 they were unable to accept clothing donations due to lack of storage. I encourage everyone to donate and/volunteer for this exceptional irganization.
Amber Laviolette: Resourceful however very difficult staff and hard getting program information.
Dave G: It was nice to be able to volunteer and help out people who need it.
Carmen Velazquez: Dey need to organize people outside in the parking lot
Lizzie Aponte: I passed by to see a friend that called me that wasn't need and I seen more drug transactions there and then anywhere else in Springfield right in front of the camera so I rate this real poor
