Christian sermons for all: This company did a terrible job cleaning my chimney. After they were allegedly done cleaning, I prepped the wood for my first fire. After opening the damper to the widest setting, I lit the fire. Everything was going fine for the first couple minutes, then my smoke detector started going off. Suddenly there was haze all around the room, and my house reeked of smoke.After putting it out with a fire extinguisher, I had one of my good friends come over to check it out. He's used to cleaning his chimney every season, so he's a professional when it comes to chimney cleaning. In hindsight I wish I called him up first, because after he inspected it he found that there was a bunch of leaves still stuck up there causing the smoke to not rise up.The worst part is these guys charged me $500 for that cleaning that they did a terrible job at. It was nice to hear a company be so honest. While there, he gave me a bunch of tips on how to properly maintain my fireplaces.He also returned at a later date to do some repointing work on my chimney. That work was performed cleanly and at the quoted price (which was quite reasonable.)I would highly recommend this company.

Skittles: *BEWARE* My fiance and I just recently purchased our first home and called ACE to have our chimney cleaned and the pellet stove looked at to make sure it was good. They came out for the scheduled appointment and after walking in the door and man says that he can tell just by looking as he drove up that our pipe for the stove was not up to code. Mind you he hadn't even looked at it or gone on the roof. Showed him the pellet stove, he looked in the side and said it was only a single wall sleeve and it was a fire hazard. Got an estimate in the mail about a week later for nearly $2700 to have it all taken out and redone.Long story short, we had a second opinion from a reputable private contractor. Guess what? It's completely up to code with a DOUBLE WALL sleeve and the metal fireplace was actually built for it.I'm not in the market for being taken advantage of, but they must be in the business of doing that. Can't tell you how happy we are to not have lost all that money especially when we have sunk everything into buying our first home.

J Bryson: Called to get a quote. They wouldn’t give me one without a $300 chimney inspection. Once guy came to house he said he had to do both flues so $300 turned into $500. Just a money grab. But I let him do it. Shame on me. Then he said he would draw up a quote for a new wood insert and a wood stove install and I never received a quote so I called to see where the miscommunication was and they told me they weren’t the right company to do what I needed. Hanni Thoma: Andy did a great job on the work at our house. We were having a bad leak in both of our chimneys, and he was able to figure out what caused the leaks and made the necessary repairs. He took lots of photos of the problematic spots and walked me through every single image. It’s obvious he knows what he’s doing.Also really appreciated that he didn’t try to oversell us. The first guy to give us a quote said repairs would be a minimum of 3k (for a partial rebuild). Andy quoted us a price that was half that. When I mentioned some of the work we were previously quoted on, he felt it was overkill and not practical. Very reasonable guy, and does great work.He gets really busy, especially in the Fall, so we had to wait a few weeks, but we’re glad we did.

Matthew Hartley: Installed stainless steel chimney liner on my house. He was quick to schedule appointment and order material. Was friendly and professional. Had to cut a small hole in my chimney at a bend and patched it up nicely. Job was done in short time and he made sure to clean up after himself. Recommend to anyone looking to install chimney liner with a lifetime warranty.
