Cassandra Michaelis: Just went here. I’m in the parking lot and felt I needed to write a review. They only have small trees. Very small. By small I mean 3 foot tree or less for $48.99 and higher. Absolute rip off. I came in looking to buy a tree and they said I had to pre order the regular size ones in September. Absolutely ridiculous. Ludlow fire dept sells large ones for $40 but I wanted to have a different experience. No way. Thumbs down. Absolute robbery.

It's a great tree farm, got a good selection of beautiful trees and wreaths, and very friendly staff. We'll probably try to get our trees here from now on.

Scott Santoro: Cute place, 1st time going due to our Xmas tree farm closing this year. Seemed very disorganized with vague directions as to the process of retreiving our tree. We called ahead and a lady told us that we cut our own tree (which I love) and they will trim, clean, shake and wrap ot for us. Not the best trim job and there was no shaking to get any critters and most importantly the loose needles off. When I got it home and re trimmed it, the tree dropped loads of needles everywhere. Dont know how long this will last.

Jessica Montini: As far as Christmas trees go this place has it all. Perfectly groomed trees pre cut for convenience or you can take a family adventure and cut down your own. Friendly staff are there to help you load your vehicle. The prices are moderate to high for trees in my opinion but it's worth it because they do all the hard work for you. Now take your tree home and decorate!

A W: Usually trees are priced based on the size, small trees are cheap, big trees are expensive. Not at this place. It almost seems like the owner went around putting random tags on random trees. And as for the %75 of the trees on the property with no tags, they cost $70, yep doesn’t matter if it’s 10 ft tall, or 3 ft tall.

Caitlyn Boudreau: Tried buying a tree barely 5 feet tall and they tried to charge me $70. I will be buying trees elsewhere and I recommend if your looking for a quality tree for a reasonable price you take your business elsewhere.

Brother sister Playtime fun: I give it 2 stars because they are very friendly and have good service. But the trees are empty and rotten. We won’t be going back but if u don’t mind rotten trees go there.

Noah C: Disappointed....Was looking forward to cut down the family Christmas tree. Was greeted by a rather rude woman when we pulled in. She told us we weren’t allowed to cut down our own tree and our family dog had to stay in the car. We proceeded on and walked through searching for a tree. Everything was scarce and ragged looking. Very disappointed in the whole experience. Will not be returning.

marc riccio: Do not go here. Over priced trees and 80% of the trees are dead. When I asked Don, who worked there, how do you determine your pricing he could not answer. Additionally, I told him so many of them are dead and he said “I don’t know what to tell you”. Place sucks, Don sucks, and never again will I waste my money there.

The kids fell multiple times as did their grandmother - slipping in the mud and ruts. After buying 3 trees from them every Christmas for 20 years we are done. NEVER going back.

Jackie Levine: We visited Pell Family Farm to cut our own Christmas tree the Saturday after Thanksgiving. They had a huge amount of trees to choose from, plenty of parking and friendly and helpful staff. We initially selected Pell because it was 1. close by to where we were visiting for the holiday and 2. they're dog friendly. It was fun selecting our tree with our pup! Now, I'm sitting here in my living room in Boston with our Pell Family Farm tree! It fits just perfectly and we love it!

Ankit Patel: Another local business that merits support, Pell Family Farm grows fruit, ornamental shrubs, nursery trees and Christmas trees, and has been in the same family since the 1930s.You can call in Monday to Saturday in June, July and August for strawberries and raspberries, while the Christmas tree season is from the end of November to around 22 December.These trees are grown from seedlings and range in price from $45 to $100. In previous years Pell Family Farm had a pumpkin patch with a corn maze, hayrides and a petting zoo.This was cancelled in 2019 following an E.coli outbreak at another farm in Connecticut in 2018, but may return in the future.

Jody Waugh: Every time I have gone to Pell's, they have been very attentive to helping me and always pleasant to deal with. The plants are healthy and I have never had issues. I would highly recommend stopping in when looking for plants for your garden.

Paul Derouin: When I was a kid my mother used to take us to a swimming hole near here. We always called it Kibbees Grove. Other parents took their kids there as well. I'm guessing that it might be the small dammed area of the Scantic River off of Kibbees Grove Rd. Does anyone else remember this?

Brad Kane: Nice and clean, touristy place. The major issue I had is there is no petting zoo, as they claim when you spend $10 per person (even babies). They have caged animals you can reach through the fence to try to touch, but can't most of the time. The upcharges for the pony rides and face painting are annoying. The corn maze is definitely above average, as is the hay maze. The hay ride is pretty standard, although nice. The pumpkins are waayyy overpriced, and you are better off buying those from a farm stand down the road.
